This document outlines 10 guidance services that teachers can provide: 1) Orientation service to help new students adjust; 2) Individual inventory service to collect student data to help them make decisions; 3) Information service to provide career and educational information; 4) Counseling service using directive, non-directive, or eclectic approaches; 5) Placement service to help students find educational or job placements; 6) Referral service for students needing specialized help; 7) Remedial service for students with special needs; 8) Follow-up service to evaluate student progress; 9) Research service to improve guidance programs; 10) Evaluation service to assess guidance program effectiveness.
