The European GNSS Agency (GSA) GNSS Raw Measurements Task Force was established in 2016 following Google's announcement to make Android Raw GNSS measurements available starting in Android 7.0. The Task Force has nearly 60 members and published a white paper in January 2018 detailing the theoretical basics and uses of GNSS raw measurements accessed from Android devices, including improving positioning accuracy using techniques like RTK and PPP. The Task Force workshop discussed applications of raw measurements for high accuracy, scientific, educational, robustness testing, and crowdsourcing purposes.
