This document describes the design and construction of a power conversion system for a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) built for an international competition. The author was tasked with creating a system to step down a 48VDC input to safely power the ROV's electronics. They designed three efficient, modular DC/DC converter modules printed on double-sided circuit boards that could convert the 48V input to levels needed for the other electronics. Care was taken to minimize power loss and maximize flexibility in the design and waterproof construction of each module. All work was done in-house from designing circuit boards to waterproofing the completed modules.

RNTBCI is a key player in Renault-Nissan CAE landscape. By merging the teams and organizing upper body CAE development by domains, Indian engineers are now able to support remote activities for both OEMs. Not only for performance validation, we are now challenged to support innovation activities, propose countermeasure that deals with performance trade-off and reduce the lead time.
In this context, a partnership has been built with Altair in India. Altair India is giving local expertise to help RNTBCI develop and support local as well as remote activities in 3 main domains: Automation, Optimization and Innovation.
Partnering with Altair enabled us to propose significant reduction in the lead time and the validation of performance in the openings and body structure area. Metier automation scripts were developed to enhance the development process.
In the optimization domain, we implemented MDO and Inspire. MDO was proposed to evaluate performance trade-off between Crash and NVH on a headlamp, and Inspire was used to support local upstream designs of localized parts in various domains.
Finally, Altair local expertize enabled our CAE team to support local innovation laboratory to evaluate new concepts for the future line-up.

Requirements for generalization of the approach to EU industry
Identifying some criteria to generalize the results of a research project on the Circular Economy on a European scale requires a broader competence on products end of life products combined with an ability to predict which will be the most relevant trend lines that will influence the technologies and economic dynamics of products end of life in the coming years.
This deliverable highlights that there various types of criteria: some are of a general nature, cross-cutting and allow the project to be strengthened in terms of its European value, while others are more specific and expendable on the three specific value chains that, by integrating them, have surely more chances to be recognized and appreciated in European terms.
The work is not limited to a mere statement of general criteria, but also provides some examples and operating suggestions for the transformation of these European criteria for valid operational suggestions for future activities of CarE-Service project.

U-Shin, a global automotive parts supplier, uses Altair's HyperWorks suite to improve product design and development. HyperWorks provides tools like HyperMesh for meshing, RADIOSS for crash simulation, and OptiStruct for optimization that enable U-Shin engineers to conduct simulations for tasks like general FEA analysis, optimization, and crash and safety simulations. The suite also allows access to additional third-party tools through Altair's Partner Alliance program. This comprehensive set of simulation tools allows U-Shin to develop automotive parts more efficiently through reduced iterations and improved product performance and weight.

Harita Seating Systems embarked on a VSME (Value Stream Mapping and Enterprise) journey to improve supply chain responsiveness and address increasing customer expectations. Through applying the VSME methodology of "Do, Demonstrate, Support" at its own facilities and key suppliers, Harita was able to significantly improve delivery performance, line efficiency, and productivity. Specific achievements included reducing material travel distance by 78% and space utilization by 71% at one supplier. The annual results demonstrated tangible benefits in metrics as well as intangible gains like improved relationships across the supply chain community. Harita is committed to continuing its VSME journey to further develop its supply chain.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. It still needs to be visually exciting. It still needs to attract manufacturer participation and sponsors. And for this it needs an audience.
