The classroom consisted of 25 twelve or thirteen year old students who had been together since first grade or kindergarten, creating a good learning environment. However, some students who came to school later in sixth or seventh grade did not know English well since they never had English lessons before and could not use verbs properly. There were also two grade repeaters, a student with disabilities, and a girl with behavioral issues due to abuse at home. While the students had diverse problems, teaching them was not too difficult and the experience could be enjoyable.
