The document discusses evidence that the Earth's climate is warming due to human activities. It notes that global temperatures and sea levels have increased over the past century, precipitation patterns have changed, and glaciers are retreating. The document projects that these trends will continue in the future, causing more warming, sea level rise, and extreme weather if emissions are not reduced. Coastal areas and developing nations will be most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
The presentation analyses the causative factors, phenomenon and effects of global warming and tries to find answers to this perplexing problem facing mankind
This PPT is about Global Warming and its Effect. This contains all about natural and human disasters like floods, droughts, and glacier melting. This Ppt has a piece of detailed knowledge about global warming and its effect on our earth and our human lives.

The advent of Web 2.0 has spawned a new generation of Internet applications that muddy the waters between work and play, causing serious headaches for security conscious IT depts. Traditional firewalls and other security tools no longer cut the mustard.
Security threats have evolved to target specific applications in order to breach a company’s defenses. What’s more, Internet-savvy employees are easily outsmarting many of the security controls currently in play.
Simon Richardson, Managing Partner, ITogether, looks at what’s needed to help IT Directors keep the hoards in check, protect their IP, shore up their defenses and claw back some control.
IMPACTS OF GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE ON AQUATIC BIOTAAlbert Wandera
the Presentation discuss the relevant mitigation and adaptation measures which should be employed to address the impacts of Global climatic changes on marine and fresh water habitats and Biota
Another high-quality presentation about climate change in Houston, by the venerable Dr. Ronald L. Sass, Professor Emeritus Rice University. Like most academic treatments of the topics covered, only that known with high certainty is reported. There are far more uncertainties that science has not yet pinned down, but that empirical investigations of the past have shown to be worrisome, potentially catastrophic for coastal civilization within a human lifetime. The reader is left to other sources and to their own developing understanding of the immense complexities of rapid climate feedback interactions to imagine the meaning to Houston of the topic covered by Dr. Sass at the conference. Still, an excellent and authoritative place for Houston to begin!
The causes and effects of climate changeColin Mattis
The document gives an introduction to climate change. it gives a definition for weather, climate and climate change. it gives the causes and effects of climate change and strategies that can be implemented to mitigate climate change.
Warming is believed to be caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases produced by human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. The effects of an increase in global temperature include a rise in sea levels and a change in the amount and pattern of precipitation, as well a probable expansion of subtropical deserts.

Climate change is the activity that alters the composition of the atmosphere, which creates unstable climate. If temperatures rise up by 5 degrees it will lead to more droughts, less snow coverage, threaten/extinction of some plants and animal species, devastation of Great Barrier Reed and Kakadu wetlands. Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
