Portraiture Depictions Of Queen Elizabeth I
Portraiture Depictions of Queen Elizabeth I Elizabeth Tudor or Queen Elizabeth I was and is
one of the greatest monarchs in English history. Obtaining the crown at a young age of twenty
five, she seized a bankrupt country caused by previous rulers, a country with an unstable
religion, and loose ties with other great powers of the world. Elizabeth I ruled for nearly half a
century granting her the remembrance with reigning with stability, the flourishment of the arts,
and increased trade. Elizabeth s sense of duty to her people was very admirable and that is one
the reasons that makes her such a great monarch. She was committed to her people and never
swayed from doing such that. In saying that, one of the ways people showed their love and to
show her greatness it was represented in portraits. Portraiture of Queen Elizabeth I illustrates an
evolution of her reign over England and Ireland in the years of 1558 1603. Early portraits of
young Elizabeth showcase what is going on her life or what is important to her at that specific
time. Objects such as prayer books and status clothing would be displayed in the earlier portraits.
Later portraits of Elizabeth also showcase her life and the importance of virginity, purity, crowns,
and other effects. Representations of simplicity to later complex imagery are used to exhibit her
power as well as allusions or stories to convey the Elizabeth. Progressively, Elizabeth transformed
into the goddess Gloriana, engrossed in imperial

An Illustration With A Charter On The Five Senses
For the lecture, I attended I went to Professor s Eric Palazzo talk on the five senses on an
illustration with a charter on it. The piece was from the middle ages and was depicting a religious
scene more specifically Christianity. In the lecture, Professor Eric Palazzo explained the
connections if any from the charter to the illustration. He also takes a time to explain every detail of
the Christian illustration from the curtain to the people. In the lecture, he explains how in the
charter it says things that don t match what is drawn in the illustration, which is very uncommon to
have a charter with an illustration. The language of the charter I believe was in french which he
explain the meaning of. Me personally never heard of what a charter... Show more content on

Which was very confusing to me because at first seeing the image you don t think of any of the
five senses. The image looks like a typical painting from the middle ages depicting religion. But as
Professor Eric Palazzo went along explaining his reasoning it all fit in place. The illustration
shows what looks like a deacon or priest holding the incense looking like he s waving across the
table. But it is not the deacon but Christ. It was very confusing to me at first to understand how the
deacon was christ and why was he incensing the table. He explained that the deacon using the
incense he become Christ and sees through smelling the incense connecting to the image above
which is not two separate image but one, the image above being Jesus. The men watching the
deacon is like them seeing Christ there the incest. Also, the image of the bells represented the
hearing sense. People hearing the harmony of the church. The other two senses are very simple to
explain in the painting the taste sense can be explained by the wine in the painting. The last sense
being touch is everywhere in the painting. Like the vision above you can touch it

The Fender Sratocaster Research Paper
The Fender Stratocaster The Fender Stratocaster is one of the most well known electric guitars
around. It is often used in a variety of genres of music from Blues to Rock music. It has become
an essential piece of equipment for players all around the world. Since the day of its birth in 1954,
it continues to impress everyone who plays one to this day. The versatility has to be one of the most
unique factors of the Fender Strat, there is nothing you cannot customize on this guitarto make it
your own unique axe of sound. Opening with the build of the guitar, its shape is rather distinctive,
consisting of a glossy polyester urethane finish in jet black. The contours on the body make it a
player s delight considering the belly cut on the back... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Fender Stratocaster has always consisted of a three pick up system to give the guitar a range
of sounds that you do not generally get from other guitars. Pick ups are electro magnets that
have six pole magnets with two plastic pieces fit on each end to hold them together. A thin
copper wire is then spun around all six magnets for an average of seven thousand times. The
more spins a pick up contains, the more output it holds, giving the player more response when
the strings are stricken. The pick ups are white with the magnets staggered and poking through
the pick up cover. Each one is a single coil magnet placed into the pickguard in a certain place or
angle. Wherever the pick up is positioned, will determine the sound it makes. The neck single
coil, being closest to the neck of the guitar, has more bass in its sound due to it being closer to
the center point of where the string spins and vibrates. The middle single coil being a little
further down from the neck, has sound the most reggae players enjoy the most because it has the
perfect balance of bass and treble to get the sound they desire. Last but not least, the bridge pick
up is the brightest sounding magnet in the guitar. It being closer to the bridge, gives it more
twang and bite compared to the neck and middle single coils. This is all made possible by Leo
Fender s Five selector switch which allows you to select each pickup on its own or a blend

A Method Of Preventing School Shootings
A method of preventing school shootings would be to acknowledge risk factors that the student
is facing. For example, bullying is a risk factor for school shootings. In a research study done in
2001 of 37 school shootings, it was reported that 75% of the school shooters felt bullied,
threatened, or injured by others in which most of the shooters in the report had experienced long
term bullying and harassment from their peers (Duplechain Morris, 2014). In addition, the
authors do state: School personnel too often accept that children get teased and bullied every day,
because teachers, parents, students, and other adults have grown up thinking that bullying is a
normal part of school life. It has easily become an accepted part of today s school culture (Ibid,
2014). The authors believe that schools view bullying as something that students should get used
to. This does show how bullying is an issue in schools. It is not solely to blame in regards to
school shootings, but is a risk factor for them. Relationships and past traumas are risk factors for
school shootings (Duplechain Morris, 2014). The author states in regards to relationships and
school shootings
The lack of attachment with their parents or caregivers at the beginning of their life to some of the
school shooters. Sueng Hui Cho, who was the shooter of the Virginia Tech Massacreon April 16,
2007 suffered from this kind of risk factor. Cho did not communicate with his parents or those

Multimedia Research Paper
4.1.1Introduction Everything is cross platform now. That s part of the reality that we live in a
multifaceted, multimedia world and I m delighted to be a part of that. Robert J. Sawyer After the
advent of technology and computers, lot of things around the world have changed. The way people
communicated has undergone a remarkable change thanks to automation and machines. Mobile
technology is another field which has revolutionized communication, information sharing and data

However, with the revolution of computers and automation speeding up, multimedia strategies
are also undergoing lot of rapid changes and improvements. There are some key advantages to
multimedia technology for advertising which are listed below: Ease of retrieval: Print media is
something which is not durable for longer periods of time. Unless properly documented, it can
be lost in time or its quality might get compromised. But with digital technology and multimedia,
the data can be stored quite intact and also be retrieved whenever needed. Speed of Transfer:
Working in multimedia increases speed of work because hundreds of copies can be easily
generated with click of a mouse. In the earlier days, printing press and mechanical technology was
effectively used for promotions. With the advent of digital printing and DTP, things have changed
dramatically. High Quality: Data generated with Multimedia is usually of high quality and the user
can get creative in building ideas as per their mindset. The variety of options available to create an

How Did Fordham University Changed My Life
This will be a bit unpolished.
I would just like to say Fordham University has absolutely changed my life and has impacted me
and my story in my life thus far.
To explain, I was one of many students internationally who applied to the School of the New York
Times last spring. I got the notice a few weeks later and was eventually accepted into the program.
I come from a low income family here in Southeast/Rainier Beach, Seattle, Washington, yet
regardless of where I come from my community has always been there to support me through thick
and thin, and has not given up on me when I needed them the most.
The issue that arose from my acceptance letter was the staggering amount of money it was to be a
part of the program. The School of the New York Times gave me three months of time to
accumulate $4.5 thousand dollars to have been admitted officially, and although I doubted myself
and my ability, I told myself I believe and can do it if I put my mind to it. Consequently, I made a

what I needed in a weeks time. for twelve hours, I knocked on doors, spread the word about my

myself, In 3 days, word of mouth had spread so much all over Seattle, that my gofundme.com
page had gone viral and had raised $4.6 thousand dollars in 72 hours or less. My community didn t

Chevrolet Comparison
The Chevrolet Cobalt is a compact front wheel drive model and successor to the popular
Chevrolet Cavalier. Originally offered in sedan, coupe, and supercharged versions, the latter was
eventually replaced by a turbo. Following a six year run, the Cobalt was replaced by the Chevrolet
Cruze.
Chevrolet Cobalt: 2005 to 2010
The Chevrolet Cobalt was introduced in 2005 and built through 2010. This model replaced the
Cavalier and was itself replaced by the Cruze. Buyers considering the Cobalt might also explore
the nearly identical Pontiac G5 built from 2007 to 2009. Both are front wheel drive models with
room for five.
Initially, Cobalt coupe models were sold in base, LS, and SS trim, while sedans were offered in
base, LS, and LT trims. When released,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sedan also received an SS edition with both models powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4 liter
engine and the SS Supercharged powered by the 2.0 liter, four cylinder engine.
Beginning in 2007, Chevrolet rolled out a new audio system, wheel packages, and a new steering
wheel. Additional trim shuffling took place in 2008. The SS coupe and SS sedan were renamed
the Sport coupe and the Sport sedan, respectively. Previous optional equipment, including an MP3
player, XM radio, and side impact airbags were now standard. A new stability control system was
introduced.
For 2009, the Sport coupe and Sport sedan models were eliminated, along with the 2.4 liter engine
powering them. An upgraded 2.2 liter engine was introduced. Bluetooth connectivity was added as
well. Other changes included making OnStar telematics standard across the model line, an iPod
compatible USB port was added to the radio, and new low rolling resistance tires were introduced.
The 2010 Cobalt is mostly a carryover model with a new My Link telematics and trim package
introduced. A power sunroof and performance display were made standard on the Cobalt SS

Transportation Advantages And Disadvantages
The type of transport that an individual uses daily not only affect themselves, but also the wider
community. There are many factors that are likely to affect how an individual makes decisions.
Some decisions are made rationally, others are not. In the past decade, both cities of Greater
Melbourne and Perth are being affected by people s transportation choices. The rapid increase in
population across Australian cities, especially Melbourneand Perth means that the government is
looking for solutions to reduce problems such as raising levels of pollution, congestion and travel
time. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) the residential population of Greater
Melbourne has increased by 2.1% and Greater Perth has increased by 1.6%, during the period of
June 2014 to June 2015 (2017). Consequently, this steep increase in population means that the
transport infrastructure in both cities is being put under increasing pressure. Therefore, to cope
with the rising population, both cities have expanded their public transportation network. In the
year of 2015 16 in Perth, 6,850 Transperth train services were run weekly (Public Transport
Authority 2017) and in Melbourne there are over 2,200 week day services and more than 3000
services during the weekends (Metro Trains Melbourne 2017).
As seen in the graph above, both Perth and Melbourne are showing strong trends of growth.
Furthermore, the steep incline in Perth from 2007 can be explained by the opening of the
Mandurah train line in 2007. From 2006, Melbourne is showing a rapid growth, this is because in
the 2006 Commonwealth games occurred in Melbourne (Changing Transport 2012). Moreover,
both cities also experienced population growth therefore this may account for the public transport
growth. Private transportation such as cars are very popular with the Australian public. Around
76% of all vehicles accounted for in 2013 were passenger vehicles (ABS 2014). Cars have become
increasingly affordable and offer greater mobility therefore more Australians are choosing them
over public transportation (ABS 2014). By analysis Australian Bauru of Statistics data social
research company McCrindle found that two in three Australians drive to work or study

More repairs to the lighthouse were in the works when the American Revolution intervened. In July
1775, Boston Harbor and the lighthouse were under the control of the British. On July 20,
American troops under Major Joseph Vose landed at the lighthouse and took lamps, oil, and some
gunpowder, and burned the wooden parts of the tower. After leaving the island they had to outrun
an armed British schooner, and two Americans were wounded. An eyewitness described the flames
of the lighthouse ascending up to Heaven, like grateful incense, and the ships wasting their powder.
As the British worked to repair the tower, 300 American soldiers under Major Benjamin Tupper
landed at the island on July 31. They easily defeated the British guard and again burned the
lighthouse. As they tried to leave, they found their boats stranded because the tide had gone out.
This gave British vessels time to reach the scene. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Negro And The Racial Mountain
Langston Hughes was an African American poet, social activist, novelist, and playwright. His
works are still studies, read, and, in terms of his poems and plays, performed. He is best known
for being a leader of the Harlem Renaissance. Within his works, he depicted black America in
manners that told the truth about the culture, music, and language of his people. Besides his
many notable poems, plays, and novels, Hughes also wrote essays such as The Negro Artist and
the Racial Mountain which Hughes gives insight into the minds of middle class and upper class
Negroes. Prior to reading this essay, I never heard of, nor did I know, Langston Hughes
composed essays, much less an essay that outwardly depicts aspects of life that most are
accustomed to and see nothing wrong with. The Negro and the Racial Mountain formulated this
view that Langston Hughes was more than a poet who wrote about jazz music as he is depicted
within grade school textbooks, but instead, a man who had a great passion for the African
American race to develop a love for themselves and for non African American audiences to begin to
understand how the African American race can be strong and creative despite struggles that may be
occur. There is a possibility that this essay, The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain, is not more
commonly known because it has the ability to make the reader uncomfortable, no matter if he is an
African American or white. For the African American, one can find himself reflecting back

Elements Of The Oxides Of Silicon Dioxide
Period 3 oxides: Examples of period 3 oxides: Na2O, MgO, Al2O3, SiO2, P4O10 The examples
of the oxides shown above are the highest oxides . These oxides have the highest oxidation state.
The melting point and boiling point for period 3 oxides is usually very high. This is because a
large amount of energy is needed to break the covalent and ionic bonds in the period 3 oxides.
Metallic oxides which are Magnesium, Sodium and Aluminium contain metallic and oxides ions.
These therefore have a strong attraction between each other. This strong attraction means a large
amount of energy would be needed to break the bonds. This would therefore result in the melting
and boiling point being very high. An example of a giant covalent bond is silicon... Show more

Non metal oxides SiO2, P4O10, SO2 Silicon oxide (SiO2) is the highest non metal element. This
is because it has very strong bonds that require a large amount of energy to be broken and also
silicon oxide forms a giant macromolecular structure. P4O10 and SO2 are both simple covalent
molecules that have van der Waals forces between them. Period 3 chlorides: The melting point
and boiling point for chlorides cannot be defined. This is because each chloride works in a
different way. Examples of chlorides are sodium chloride and magnesium chloride. Both these
chlorides are solid at room temperature and pressure and also have relatively high melting and
boiling points. Sodium chloride and magnesium chloride both have very strong ionic bonds
between them and therefore a large amount of energy is required to break the strong ionic bonds to
cause them to melt or even boil. The remaining chlorides will have relatively low melting and
boiling points and most of them will be liquid at room temperature. The chlorides will have low
melting and boiling points due to the weak van der Waals forces present. The melting point usually
increases when you go from the element sodium to silicon however then starts to decrease when it
gets to argon. The boiling point will usually increase when going from sodium to aluminium but
will then decrease to argon. Sodium, Magnesium and Aluminium are metals which have metallic
bonding. In this

Blizzards Research Paper
Have you ever been snowed in? What about no power or no heat? Imagine what it would be like
to experience a blizzard, in winds whipping snow around at 35 mph or higher! It s not about how
much snow there is to determine a blizzard, it s about how strong the winds are and the amount of
time it lasts, explains TV weather forecaster, Al Roker. Usually blizzards are 3 or more hours and
they can be harsh and deadly. Just to think about powerful, strong, frigid air and snowswirling
around me is scary in a way.
Remember that terrifying winter night, winds howling outside, and...zap!... the lights go out. The
house goes dead silent and all you hear is gusts of wind whistling about. What do you do now?
No internet. No warmth. No light. First, start by lighting candles or getting flashlights. You can

Star Wars Prequels And Return Of The Jedi
While it is universally agreed that the Star Wars prequels were a terrible idea, the question of in
which sequence to watch the six movie series in order to incur the smallest amount of
disappointment is still a debated topic. This was the question that my Chamber Orchestra sub
group attempted to answer while our teacher tried to convince us that it was best to watch the first
two originals, then the prequels, and finally Return of the Jedi, an order known as the machete
order. Mr. Schwaegler presented his logic for the machete order of Star Wars
as twofold: first, that
the prequels functioned as a flashback to how Luke s father became Darth Vader following the

Identifying The Search For An Keyword Search Tool
A.Email messages A forensic accountant could use a few different techniques to assist in
reducing the volume of email messages he or she has to examine. One technique they could
utilize is using a keyword search. This is probably the easiest to implement in searching for
specific emails. Keyword search tools generally come in two types, indexed or not indexed. An
indexed keyword search tool depends on the index that it created in order to actually locate
documents having the specific search terms. A non indexed keyword search scans through the
document with each search iteration to determine whether the specific term exists. They keyword
search will accurately find documents within the search criteria, however the documents may not
have any relevance to what the forensic accountant is actually looking for. Therefore, the forensic
accountant wants to be sure he or she is utilizing specific key words to find the evidence he or she
is looking for. Another method is context search. The context search adds context to the search
criteria. Context search helps improve the keyword search solution by addressing the problems
present in keyword searches related to synonymy and polysemy. Synonymy is a common linguistic
issue where different words are used to express the same concept, and polysemy is where the same
word can have different meanings (Fordham, 2013). The context search method combines several
advance techniques in a simple user interface, making searches

Social Class And Its Effect On Children s Life
On October 23th 1995 at a still undisclosed location, a sniper shot my father. He had been in the
marine of 7 years and a decorated officer and that is everything I ve been told about him to this
day. My mom doesn t mention him and I know none of his relative. Growing up without a parent
has a drastic effect on any child s life. The few people I ve talked to about this often ask why I have
never asked my motherabout him and that is hugely due to the circumstances of his death and in
some ways social class. Military kids aren t supposed to cry over loved ones, but honor their
memory and respect their service. We are encouraged to stand strong and often told when younger
to make them proud.
Our social class had a lot to do with how I learned to handle this as an officer s son whose mother
is also a high ranking member of the government that pressure to maintain composure was
doubled. Growing up it was often me who was chosen to speak at different memorial and veteran
events. I was poised as somebody other kids who lost parents to look up to, it was up to me to
show them how to act. I was taught young that your actual feelings don t matter only the face
you put on to the world. If I m being honest a second reason I ve never asked is I don t have an
interest in learning more it would only serve to make him real as it is now he is more a
mythological figure. In addition to this the fact that I m a male changed my experiences, in the

This week I did something I have never done before. I DNFed a book. That s right I have decided I

You might be asking. Is this really the first time? As far back as I can remember this is the first
time. Now I have in the past put a book to the side for say a year or two. Always with the intention
that I will finish it one day and so far I have been finishing them.
This time, I just can t bring myself to finish it. What is this book? you might ask and the book is
The Interesting s by Meg Wolitzer.

still behaving in a way that I just couldn t stand.
I saw this book on Goodreads. It seemed interesting, I got the free sample on my kindle, I loved
it. The next morning I went to the library first thing, excited to read more, by the time of the

through chapter 11, which is about half way. I couldn t stand it a moment longer.

Essay about Cognitive Development of Children
Piaget s phase concept explains the cognitive development of children. Cognitive development
implies transformation in the cognitive procedure and skills. In Piaget s vision, initial cognitive
development involves processes based upon measures and afterward proceeds into changes in the
cerebral operations. Schemas; a schema clarifies both the cerebral and physical actions occupied in
comprehending plus knowing. Schemas are sorts of information that help us to explain and
understand the world. In Piaget s vision, a schema includes both a group of understanding and the
procedure of gaining that knowledge. As practice occurs, this new information is used to adapt,
add to, or change formerly presented schemas. For example, a child may have a... Show more

As children progress through the phases of cognitive development, it is significant to keep a
balance between applying previous knowledge (assimilation) and changing behavior to account for
new knowledge (accommodation). Equilibration helps explain how children are adept to shift from
1 stage of theory into the next. The 1st stage of Piaget s concept survives from birth to roughly age
2 and is centered on the infant attempting to make sense of the world. During the sensor motor
stage, an infant s wisdom of the world is restricted to their sensory observations and motor
activities. Behaviors are restricted to trouble free motor reactions produced by sensory stimuli.
Children use skills and abilities they were born with, such as looking, sucking, grasping, and
listening, to learn more about the natural environment. The sensor motor stage can be separated
into 6 separate substages that are distinguished by the growth of a new skill. Throughout this
substage, the child appreciates the atmosphere entirely through inborn reflexes such as sucking and
looking. This substage involves coordinating sensation and new schemas. For example, a child may
perhaps such his or her thumb by accident and then later intentionally repeat the action. These
actions are repeated because the infant finds them pleasurable. During this substage, the

The Howard government s difficulty in rebuilding the relationship with Indonesia was partly due to
their megaphone diplomacy (Capling 2008: 613). Howard s rhetoric after election in 1997, moved
away from Labour s enthusiastic engagement with Asia, and towards a perception of an Australia
less interdependent with Asia, emphasizing Western liberal democratic ties (Jones and Benvenuti
2006: 111). East Timorhad reinforced the Indonesian perception that Australiahad an arrogant neo
colonial foreign policy (Day 2015: 675). Yet, the burgeoning democracy following the fall of
Suharto in 1999 gave the opportunity for better dialogue (Robert and Hadir 2015: 197). The 2001

Australia and Indonesia increased their joint military exercises to ten in 1998 1999, beofre they
were cancelled following the East Timor crisis (Singh 2002: 126). Also, clearly linked to the
crisis, was the 16th September 1999 abrogation by the Indonesian government of the AMS
(Commonwealth of Australia 2000: 195). The October 2002 terrorist bombing attack in Bali,
killing 202 people including 88 Australians was a turning point. Based on pragmatism and shared
interest in combatting terrorism the relationship reemerged when the Australian Federal Police and
the Indonesian authorities cooperated in investigation the incident (Day 2015: 676) Building close
security relations became a priority in light of the new terrorism threat, creating the successful
Bali Process (Day 2015: 676). 2013 finally saw the return of military engagement to pre East Timor
crisis heights (Robert and Hadir 2015: 198).
However, the domestic sphere is vital to Australian policy and must be engaged to improve
relations with Indonesia. A 2013 survey of the Australian public commissioned by DFAT in 2013
found that 53% of Australian believe Indonesia is not a democracy and 54% believe Australia is
right to worry about Indonesia as a military threat (Roberts and Habir 2015: 205). This is worrying
as domestic support does effect on Australian foreign policy (Stephens and Gruber 2010: 38)
Australian generosity, diplomacy and funding have been the most successful method of deepening

Marketing Applications Of The App
Distribution is one of the most important aspects of marketing applications. Consumers are not
able to purchase them at a traditional store and different distribution channels are required. The
main channel for distributing FUV will be the Google, Amazon, Android, and Apple application
stores. As users download FUV, the intermediaries selling the app will receive a percentage of
the sale. Each of these stores requires a different percentage of the sale starting at about 27%
(Bergvall Kareborn Howcroft, 2014). At release this cost will diminish profits earned by the app,
but as the app becomes more popular and the add ons are purchased, profits will increase (Cho,

Partnerships
After the initial launch of FUV, the app will advertise in the print ads of partnered stores. In return
for advertising the app in their ads, FUV will advertise for the stores in the app. Banner ads will
feature different stores with the ad frequency mirroring the advertisement of FUV in the stores
own ads. Stores that offer a larger ad to FUV will be featured more often than those that only
supply a small ad space. Partner store coupons will also be offered within the app. These
coupons will be taken from stores print ads and will be available within the app. Coupons will be
displayed as product recommendations, as well as when a listed ingredient inventory is low or out
of stock. Coupons and ad banners will push users towards partner stores, encouraging these stores to
continue and increase advertising FUV.
Supply chain Management
Initially, supply chain management will be extensive. Apps that are released and marketed just
before a new product, such as a new model of smartphone or tablet, is released experience a
higher than average number of downloads. The high volume of downloads can cause issues with
internal servers and data transfer (Cho, Lee, Quinlan, 2015). Remaining in contact with app stores
to ensure that FUV is downloading as it should will be vital to a successful launch. If the app data
is not sent to the correct app stores at the correct time, there may be a delay in the availability of
the app,

Persuasive Speech On Babysitting
Many teenagers turn toward babysitting as a means of earning money. However, the first time a
person babysits can be nerve wracking. Children are unimaginably important to their parents. It
takes a lot of trust for a parent to put his or her child in the care and protection of a babysitter.
This puts an immense amount of pressure on a babysitter to be perfect. Despite all the stress
babysitting can bring, it is easy if you follow four simple rules. When first arriving at the house, it
is important to ask for all the necessary contact and emergency information, so that if anything bad
happened, you would know who to call and what to do. Because an emergency is a high stress
situation, you could easily forget the emergency information. It is helpful to write down the
information as you receive it and putting it somewhere that is readily available. This eliminates the
possibility of forgetting the information and ensures that you can handle an emergency quickly and
effectively.
Along with emergency and contact information, ask about the child s typical schedule when they
eat meals, if and/or when they take a nap, and other basic rules the parent has. Do your best to stick
to these schedules, but do not force the schedule on the child. Sometimes kids get tired sooner than
naptime or are not hungry at dinnertime. This is completely okay. Do not be afraid to upset the
parent by not following the schedule strictly. Generally, children are unpredictable and schedules

Essay about Taser Use Guidelines
1. Philosophy
There has recently been a demand for the use of less than lethal weapons in the community, and
country at large. To meet this demand, the Asheville Police Department will be adopting the use of
Tasers. Though Tasers are potentially lethal, they can be used more safely that a handgun, yet are
more incapacitating than chemical spray. The use of Tasers will be explained with training as
technology and laws progress. The most important thing is that the use of Tasers always falls within
the law. Any actions taken should be proportionate to the situation, and the use of forceshould be no
more than what is absolutely necessary. Officers must be prepared to show that they acted
reasonably and justly. They must stay... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A specialist will also be hired to inform the department of new technological advances, and these
will be taken into consideration during any training. Revised training will also be considered
annually, based on the event of aforementioned new developments. Training will focus on
dispelling myths about the use and effect of Tasers, communication with the community concerning
their use, and their place in the force continuum.
3. Scope of Operation
Much dispute has arisen over the place of Tasers in the use of force continuum. Training will
address this issue more thoroughly, but the policy of this department will be that Tasers fall into
the category of impact weapons. They are to be considered possibly lethal, and fall between the
category containing canines, chemical agents and batons, and the category of lethal force. They
are to be used only when a suspect is being actively aggressive towards an officer, and when the
use of a lower force weapon is deemed unsafe for the attending officer(s). Medical issues are a
concern when using Tasers. When a suspect has the spike of the Taserimplanted in them, they must
be given medical attention immediately after being restrained to remove the spikes and assess any
possible injuries. Certain people must be given special considerations, including the elderly, the
mentally disabled, the very young, and pregnant women (an inclusion in the very young). People

Throughout the story of William Shakespeare s Macbeth, you can find that people go through a

how people can change from good to evil. Throughout the story, Macbethwas called Noble Macbeth

In 2009, a man on a flight from the Netherlands to Detroit attempted to blow up a plane with

viewed by male agents. The agents viewing the images are in a separate, secure room and never
see the passengers they are viewing on screen. According to TSA s privacy policy, The two officers

Same Sex Marriage Should Be Legal Essay
Individuals are in complete control of their own happiness, except when it is forbidden by the
law. Prior to June 16th, 2015, thirty seven of the fifty states provided their citizens with the right
to marry the opposite sex and thirteen states did not condone this behavior among their citizens.
Having equal rights for all people in America has the potential to boost the psychological and
spiritual growth of our economy through individual happiness. All people deserve the right to
express themselves as individuals, even if that means that they want to be married to someone
who is the same gender as them. In September of 2014, two elderly ladies, over the age of ninety,
who have been in love for over seven decades, were finally legally allowed to get married. They
had been together for seventy four years while traveling the world and falling in love. Same sex

The Role for NATO in the Modern World Essay
The Possibility of a Role for NATO in International Relations
When NATO was founded in 1949, it had a clearly defined role. It was an alliance for collective
security against the USSR and the Warsaw Pact, whereby if one member state was attacked, the
rest would come to her aid under article 5. Since the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the
Cold War, however, the role of NATOhas become a great deal less clearly defined, since its
members no longer really have any need for a defensive alliance. Indeed, operations such as those
in Bosnia and Kosovo have suggested that for from being a defensive alliance, NATO may have
some kind of future as an offensive alliance. There are also now doubts, ... Show more content on

This resulted in the Dayton Ohio Accords, which received peace in the region, and with NATO
upheld with 20,000 soldiers who were deployed to the area. This was a great success that
arguably wouldn t have been possible without the intervention of a multilateral organisation such
as NATO which, unlike the UN, could feasibly have an offensive mandate. Indeed, it essentially
marked the rebirth of NATO as an offensive organisation, and it was the first time that NATO
forces had been used in an aggressive manner. This has led to numerous cases of a similar nature.
For instance, in 1999 in Kosovo, when it became widely feared that the Serbian government was
beginning to initiate policies of ethnic cleansing and possible even genocide in its province of
Kosovo, NATO intervened once again. By early 1999 it had become clear, as the Organisation for
Security and Co operation in Europe (OSCE) pointed out, that the only way to stop what would
have resulted in a human refugee catastrophe, was through military action. NATO therefore
launched a 78 day air campaign that succeeded in forcing the Serbian government to comply with

The Psychological Factors Of Sports Psychology Essay
Introduction
Sports psychology is the scientific study of the psychological factors associated with the
participation and performance in sport (Dahlkoetter, 2002). A sports psychologist s main focus is
on using psychological skills to improve an athlete s performance and understanding how the
participation in sports can improve health (Beyond performance: Training sport psychologists in
Australia, 2012). Psychological Skills training (PST), although often neglected due to perceived
unimportance, makes up a high percentage of sports training (Weinberg Gould, 2007). Techniques
used to improve health and sport performance includes goal setting, imagery and motivation
training, stress management and peak performance training (Cohn, n.d.). These techniques can be
used to help an athlete with performance anxiety to overcome it.
What is CBT?
The cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that challenges negative thought
patterns in order to improve a persons mind set (Better health Channel, 2014). This type of therapy
is made up of two main therapies: Cognitive and behaviour. The behaviour therapy looks at how the
situation effects the reaction to the situation (Hemmings Holder, 2009). The cognitive therapy
further details this by analysing what a person thinks about the situation, how they talk to
themselves about the situation and what images are at play in their minds for the situation (O
Donoghue, 2016). This will then effect the emotions that are

A Lack of Meaningful General Education Courses
General Education (GE) is defined as that part of a curriculum that is shared by all students
(regardless their original major/profession), provides broad exposure to multiple disciplines, and
forms the basis for developing important intellectual and civil capabilities (Spencer Benson, 2009).
With the rapid development of society, the demand of multi disciplinarily personals is growing
dramatically. In order to broaden students knowledge and let them respond creatively and seize
opportunities to cope with the complexity, change and diversity, many universities among the world
are pursuing high qualities of general education. (University of Macau, n.d) In UM, every student
needs to take 13 general educational courses chosen from four areas, which are language and
communication, science and information technology, society and culture, self development.
However, is general educational succeeding in its goals in UM? Unfortunately, the answer is not.
General education is not as effective as we image in our university. One phenomenon we can
observe is that there are some students who are absent minded or sleepy in class. When asked about
the important content in textbooks, many students answers are far from satisfaction and they even
complain that they gain almost nothing meaningful in their general education courses. This
discounted situation is a long standing problem and it should be improved without doubt. You may

The Sermon On The Mount ( And The Plain )
Inherent Value in the Sermon on the Mount (and the Plain) Critical analysis of Christian doctrine
often suggests overlapping principles concerning teachings. That is, the teachings of one individual,
such as a disciple of Christ are re interpreted and introduced by another, heightening discussion on
historical relevance, intent, ethical implications and methods of delivery. The Sermon on the
Mount and the Sermon on the Plain fall under this category of controversial interpretation. One is
recognized as essentially playing off the other, delivering the same message while delivering a new
level of interpretation. Literary interpretation of the gospel is ever changing due to the influential
nature of the modern environment, where current actions shape the initiatives of the past. While the
common understanding is that these sermons lack independence as one re introduces the theories
taught in the previous sermon, the theory requires further interpretation before formulating a
conclusion on the independent or collective nature of the sermons. As one examines Christian
doctrine, common ground or interpreting the same message throughout becomes a constant action.
That is, disciples and followers of Christ who spread the word to others are likely to deliver the
same message, as the Word of God acts as the founding origin for these teachings. Thus,
differentiating between multiple doctrines has become a formality initiated by literary scholars,
who aim to establish different

that she finds her life empty, and she finds joy in drama of other people s lives. Her loneliness

her lonely existence. By using the other people at the park, Miss Brill finds a temporary filling
for her need of companionship. When Miss Brill speaks about the people around her being in a
theatrical production, it makes her role in life feel important. (202). Even she had a part and
came every Sunday... she was part of the performance after all (202). Mansfield acknowledges a
method to cope with the struggle towards Miss Brill s realization that she is not important in
society anymore. The use of emotional appeal emphasizes the lonely existence faced in the
vision of Miss Brill. Another key characteristic of Miss Brill is her critical behavior. Miss Brill is
extremely observant of the people and the environment in the park. Mansfield proposes her
critical trait is related to her complete mental lack of companionship. Miss Brill observes very

can hardly be considered the reason for that. Baseballhas been voted America s 2nd favorite sport
(behind football) and soccer was voted America s 4th favorite sport. Therefore, baseball is better
and more popular than soccer.
Baseball had been the most popular sport in America all the way up to 1985 when football took
over. So for most of the 20th century is was America s favorite sport. Some of my opinions are
that baseball is better than soccer is because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately in 1985 football took that over. But still baseball maintained to stay America s
most popular sport for 27 years when soccer was never America s most popular sport. And I think
27 is better than 0. Also, even if baseball isn t the most popular sport right now, it s still 2 spaces
ahead of soccer.
Baseball is not going to lose it s popularity to soccer anytime soon though. I already explained
that I would rather pay to watch baseball than to watch soccer for free, but another reason I think
that is because soccer is a new sport to America since the MLS was only founded in 1993, so that
means more people have been growing up watching baseball teams from their area instead of
soccer teams and that means their kids are watching baseball and I think it will take a few
generations just to shake that off.
It is hard to find a reason why baseball would be less of a popular sport than soccer, (I bet some
people could come up with some reasons) but I think overall you can t beat most of the facts.
Maybe it s because I play baseball and I like to watch it, or maybe because of all the websites that I
looked at saying baseball is more popular than soccer, but I do think that baseball is better and
more popular than

The Symbols Of Resistance In The Milagro Bean Field War
Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers of America once said: When injustice becomes
law, resistance becomes a duty . This duty not only rests on the shoulders of the leaders of a
community, but it also rests on the shoulders of the community as a whole. Resistance, in fact, had
always happened in the past when a community is dissatisfied with a particular party. Therefore,
based on the Milagro Bean Field War film directed by Robert Redfordwith reference to the novel of
the same title by John Nicols, resistance in the context of the community of Milago may be
interpreted as to taunt the enemy, to protect their own people and to protestfor their rights.
Resistance illustrates people taunting the enemy. In this story, the enemy is the... Show more content

When injustice threatens the people of Milagro, they stand together and fight for the victim of
injustice. For example, Kyril Montana, a scheming detective accused Joe of attempted murder
of Amarante Cordova and unlawful flight from persecution and tried to arrest Joe during a bean
harvesting party held at Joe s bean field. During this arrest, the community of Milagro did not
just stand by and watch, instead, they went to their vehicles to take their guns and armed them.
Ruby also stood defiantly in front of Montana that was grabbing Joe by the arm to block him
from proceeding with the arrest. Tensions were escalating up to the point where they were about
to open fire at each other when Bernie, the sheriff of Milagro came racing down to the bean field
yelling for them to stop. Bernie said that Amarante was feeling better and refused to press
charges. Joe s lawyer, Charlie Bloom happily exclaimed, So, there s no attempted murder; there s
no unlawful flight, and unless he (Montana) has a warrant to arrest Joe for taking water, he s
outside his jurisdiction! Just then, a police officer called out to Montana saying that there was a
call from the Governor from Montana. The Governor orders Montana to stop the arrest. Montana
strongly disagreed, but relented in the end. He then asked the police officers to release Joe.
Hearing this, the people of Milagro cheered in victory for they have

EXPERIMENT NO. 6
DETERMINATION OF THE MOLAR VOLUME OF A GAS
AND THE UNIVERSAL GAS CONSTANT
Salve, Ryan AngeloTAB3, Group 6, Mr. John Kevin Paulo Biadomang Tabor, Frances

I. Abstract
This experiment is working with the ideal gas law, which is the summation of Boyle s Law, where
pressure is inversely proportional to volume, Charles Law, where the volume is directly
proportional to temperature and Avogadro s Law, where the volume is directly proportional to
moles. In this experiment, the volume occupied by one mole of H2 was determined. By measuring
the volume of H2 gas generated, its molar volume can also be calculated. The universal gas
constant can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The volume of the gas and the temperature of the water were recorded. The experiment was
repeated twice.
V. Results The results of the experiment were shown below.

The Effects Of Fire And Flooding On The Florida Everglades

South Florida Landscapes
The Effects of Fire and Flooding
To Tree Islands in the Florida Everglades
The topic of this research paper will be the tree island communities in the Florida Everglades and
the different conditions that affect them. While conducting preliminary research on the topic, my
hypothesis is that the effect of flooding shortly after a fire will have a positive effect on the tree
islands. I believe that the flooding will bring in other resources that have been carried with the
current and provide the community with enough resources for healthy growth following the fire. I
believe the communities could benefit from have a source of water, instead of having more
droughts after the fire.
In the Everglades these patches of trees or islands of them are an essential piece of the landscape.
These islands of trees are seen in both the short and the long hydro period wetland of the
Everglades. What these islands start to do is provide a web of shade and they gives opportunity
for these forest dwelling plants and animals to perform important biodiversity and nutrient
cycling functions (Gained et al. 2002, Ross 2009). Tree islands can be all different sizes, in the
short hydro period area these sizes can vary from anything of two to three trees to as big as
several hectares with hundreds of trees. The size of these tree islands have a direct effect on the
amount of species there are, the larger the tree island the more chance there is to have more

Peru Illegal Mining
Illegal mining in the Peruvian Amazon has led to crime, deforestation and mercury poisoning in
local villages and has further weakened the economy. Peru is the largest producer of gold in South
America, the sixth largest in the world and in recent years Peru s remote Amazon rainforest has
become a hotspot for illegal mining. An estimated ten to thirty thousand illegal miners work day in
and day out to remove flecks of gold from Amazonian soil using cyanide, mercury, lead and arsenic
which has in turn contaminated water sources and poisoned many in rural villages. Mining camps
run rampant with crime, including sex trafficking and slave labor, poaching is common and litter is
scattered everywhere. These miners have come from cities across Peru... Show more content on

It should be enough to spur the government into action, to enforce more laws and regulations and
send more military forces out to take out the operations, but it s not. Peru s economy has gone
through many changes but it is largely based on the original Incan economical system which ran
based on geographical location and what the areas had to offer. Commercial mining is the
second largest contributor the economy today, it accounts for roughly sixty percent of the
country s exports and with more than eighty companies and two hundred commercial mines it s
not surprising. However, the illegal mining bandwagon has taken a big hit to the profits coming
from mining. An estimated one billion dollars worth of gold is smuggled out of the country each
year. Police are having some luck catching and arresting those who smuggle either at airports or
border crossings it won t be enough to stop them completely. Losing all this money each year and
not having enough soldiers to stop and illegal gold rush on top of a large rate of poverty,
unemployed and homeless and many other things sounds like a frustrating situation. Compared to
other countries and their economies Peru doesn t seem very well off unfortunately. While it s hard
to say whether illegal or commercial mining is doing more damage, it s fair to say they are both
taking their toll on the

Aging Population A Growing Challenge
Minarechova, Radka. Aging population a growing challenge. Slovak Spectator 08 Sept. 2014: 12.
Newspaper Source. Web. 18 Nov. 2015.
In this article, Radka MinarechovГЎ addresses the growing challenges associated with the fastest
aging population in one of the European Union countries, known as Slovakia. As the elderly
population increased, the productive working age deceased, which caused the country to suffer
greatly based on their involvement in employment, society, independent living and aging
prevention. It becomes clear that the country was not prepared to solve problems dealing with
aging. As a result, it is shown that discrimination towards the elderly by the others within the
population is discovered within specific areas such as health care and employment. With the
retirement age at 62, the more individuals requesting for pensions, the greater the effect on the
contribution to the funds necessary for the benefit of the recipient, especially healthcare. The
subject of aging is highly relevant to Zimmerman s article. The need to improve the aging phases
every individual experiences is a serious issue that can be resolved or reduced. Although
MinarechovГЎ s argument does not focus directly on the health concerns dealing with aging, but
the author touched the important subject of how it can affect our population rather than benefit us
as a society. Not only is the topic relevant to Zimmerman s argument but it was written around the
same time. Therefore, there is a high

Foreign Aid Failure
In an article published by The Spectator entitled Why foreign aid fails and how to really help
Africa, Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson condemn the current system of foreign aid
granting and suggest an alternate, more efficient solution. They support their points by deducing
that extractive institutions, in which incentives for economic prosperity are few, are the culprit of
enduring poverty; by providing examples where foreign aid failed to reduce poverty (Congo,
Angola, Syria, and South Africa); by giving testimonies from former British Prime Minister David
Cameron and multilateral institutions concerning the effectiveness of foreign aid; and by advising

Annotated Bibliography Of Peer Assisted Study Sessions,...
Annotated Bibliography
Jacqueline Larry
Walden University
Summary
This article titled Peer Assisted Study Sessions and Student Performance: The Role of Academic
Engagement, Student Identity, and Statistics Self Efficacy is written by three PhD candidates at
Griffith University who are conducting a study on new freshman students and their transition.
This study was based on the quantitative constructivist approach. It was done using both cross
sectional and longitudinal design to determine the effects of Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)
on student performance outcomes.
PASS is a voluntary student lead preventative intervention for difficult and demanding tertiary
courses. The authors demonstrated the impact of the relationship between peer academic
engagement and its effects on student s identity, attendance and their belief of self efficacy. The
outcome of their findings demonstrated that students who participated in the PASS study had
increased self efficacy and increased confidence in their performance academically, in comparison
to their first semester of college. The authors explained that there were limitations the results of
their cross sectional design did not accurately reflect the full effects those who participated in the
PASS study. Other participants such as tutorials and lectures were not included and therefore it was
recommended further exploration using the longitudinal framework.

  • 2. Portraiture Depictions Of Queen Elizabeth I Portraiture Depictions of Queen Elizabeth I Elizabeth Tudor or Queen Elizabeth I was and is one of the greatest monarchs in English history. Obtaining the crown at a young age of twenty five, she seized a bankrupt country caused by previous rulers, a country with an unstable religion, and loose ties with other great powers of the world. Elizabeth I ruled for nearly half a century granting her the remembrance with reigning with stability, the flourishment of the arts, and increased trade. Elizabeth s sense of duty to her people was very admirable and that is one the reasons that makes her such a great monarch. She was committed to her people and never swayed from doing such that. In saying that, one of the ways people showed their love and to show her greatness it was represented in portraits. Portraiture of Queen Elizabeth I illustrates an evolution of her reign over England and Ireland in the years of 1558 1603. Early portraits of young Elizabeth showcase what is going on her life or what is important to her at that specific time. Objects such as prayer books and status clothing would be displayed in the earlier portraits. Later portraits of Elizabeth also showcase her life and the importance of virginity, purity, crowns, and other effects. Representations of simplicity to later complex imagery are used to exhibit her power as well as allusions or stories to convey the Elizabeth. Progressively, Elizabeth transformed into the goddess Gloriana, engrossed in imperial ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He also takes a time to explain every detail of the Christian illustration from the curtain to the people. The illustration shows what looks like a deacon or priest holding the incense looking like he s waving across the table. But it is not the deacon but Christ. It was very confusing to me at first to understand how the deacon was christ and why was he incensing the table. He explained that the deacon using the incense he become Christ and sees through smelling the incense connecting to the image above which is not two separate image but one, the image above being Jesus. It is often used in a variety of genres of music from Blues to Rock music. It has become an essential piece of equipment for players all around the world. The Fender Stratocaster has always consisted of a three pick up system to give the guitar a range of sounds that you do not generally get from other guitars. Pick ups are electro magnets that have six pole magnets with two plastic pieces fit on each end to hold them together. A thin copper wire is then spun around all six magnets for an average of seven thousand times. The more spins a pick up contains, the more output it holds, giving the player more response when the strings are stricken. The pick ups are white with the magnets staggered and poking through the pick up cover. Each one is a single coil magnet placed into the pickguard in a certain place or angle. Wherever the pick up is positioned, will determine the sound it makes. The neck single coil, being closest to the neck of the guitar, has more bass in its sound due to it being closer to the center point of where the string spins and vibrates. The middle single coil being a little further down from the neck, has sound the most reggae players enjoy the most because it has the perfect balance of bass and treble to get the sound they desire. Last but not least, the bridge pick up is the brightest sounding magnet in the guitar. It being closer to the bridge, gives it more twang and bite compared to the neck and middle single coils. This is all made possible by Leo Fender s Five selector switch which allows you to select each pickup on its own or a blend ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In a research study done in 2001 of 37 school shootings, it was reported that 75% of the school shooters felt bullied, threatened, or injured by others in which most of the shooters in the report had experienced long term bullying and harassment from their peers (Duplechain Morris, 2014). In addition, the authors do state: School personnel too often accept that children get teased and bullied every day, because teachers, parents, students, and other adults have grown up thinking that bullying is a normal part of school life. It has easily become an accepted part of today s school culture (Ibid, 2014). The authors believe that schools view bullying as something that students should get used to. This does show how bullying is an issue in schools. It is not solely to blame in regards to school shootings, but is a risk factor for them. Relationships and past traumas are risk factors for school shootings (Duplechain Morris, 2014). The author states in regards to relationships and school shootings The lack of attachment with their parents or caregivers at the beginning of their life to some of the school shooters. I would just like to say Fordham University has absolutely changed my life and has impacted me and my story in my life thus far. To explain, I was one of many students internationally who applied to the School of the New York Times last spring. I got the notice a few weeks later and was eventually accepted into the program. I come from a low income family here in Southeast/Rainier Beach, Seattle, Washington, yet regardless of where I come from my community has always been there to support me through thick and thin, and has not given up on me when I needed them the most. • 9. Transportation Advantages And Disadvantages The type of transport that an individual uses daily not only affect themselves, but also the wider community. There are many factors that are likely to affect how an individual makes decisions. Some decisions are made rationally, others are not. In the past decade, both cities of Greater Melbourne and Perth are being affected by people s transportation choices. The rapid increase in population across Australian cities, especially Melbourneand Perth means that the government is looking for solutions to reduce problems such as raising levels of pollution, congestion and travel time. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) the residential population of Greater Melbourne has increased by 2.1% and Greater Perth has increased by 1.6%, during the period of June 2014 to June 2015 (2017). Consequently, this steep increase in population means that the transport infrastructure in both cities is being put under increasing pressure. Therefore, to cope with the rising population, both cities have expanded their public transportation network. In the year of 2015 16 in Perth, 6,850 Transperth train services were run weekly (Public Transport Authority 2017) and in Melbourne there are over 2,200 week day services and more than 3000 services during the weekends (Metro Trains Melbourne 2017). As seen in the graph above, both Perth and Melbourne are showing strong trends of growth. Furthermore, the steep incline in Perth from 2007 can be explained by the opening of the Mandurah train line in 2007. From 2006, Melbourne is showing a rapid growth, this is because in the 2006 Commonwealth games occurred in Melbourne (Changing Transport 2012). Moreover, both cities also experienced population growth therefore this may account for the public transport growth. Private transportation such as cars are very popular with the Australian public. Around 76% of all vehicles accounted for in 2013 were passenger vehicles (ABS 2014). Cars have become increasingly affordable and offer greater mobility therefore more Australians are choosing them over public transportation (ABS 2014). On July 20, American troops under Major Joseph Vose landed at the lighthouse and took lamps, oil, and some gunpowder, and burned the wooden parts of the tower. After leaving the island they had to outrun an armed British schooner, and two Americans were wounded. His works are still studies, read, and, in terms of his poems and plays, performed. He is best known for being a leader of the Harlem Renaissance. Besides his many notable poems, plays, and novels, Hughes also wrote essays such as The Negro Artist and the Racial Mountain which Hughes gives insight into the minds of middle class and upper class Negroes. Prior to reading this essay, I never heard of, nor did I know, Langston Hughes composed essays, much less an essay that outwardly depicts aspects of life that most are accustomed to and see nothing wrong with. The Negro and the Racial Mountain formulated this view that Langston Hughes was more than a poet who wrote about jazz music as he is depicted within grade school textbooks, but instead, a man who had a great passion for the African American race to develop a love for themselves and for non African American audiences to begin to understand how the African American race can be strong and creative despite struggles that may be occur. Metallic oxides which are Magnesium, Sodium and Aluminium contain metallic and oxides ions. These therefore have a strong attraction between each other. Identifying The Search For An Keyword Search Tool A.Email messages A forensic accountant could use a few different techniques to assist in reducing the volume of email messages he or she has to examine. One technique they could utilize is using a keyword search. This is probably the easiest to implement in searching for specific emails. Keyword search tools generally come in two types, indexed or not indexed. An indexed keyword search tool depends on the index that it created in order to actually locate documents having the specific search terms. A non indexed keyword search scans through the document with each search iteration to determine whether the specific term exists. They keyword search will accurately find documents within the search criteria, however the documents may not have any relevance to what the forensic accountant is actually looking for. Therefore, the forensic accountant wants to be sure he or she is utilizing specific key words to find the evidence he or she is looking for. Another method is context search. The context search adds context to the search criteria. Context search helps improve the keyword search solution by addressing the problems present in keyword searches related to synonymy and polysemy. Synonymy is a common linguistic issue where different words are used to express the same concept, and polysemy is where the same word can have different meanings (Fordham, 2013). As children progress through the phases of cognitive development, it is significant to keep a balance between applying previous knowledge (assimilation) and changing behavior to account for new knowledge (accommodation). Equilibration helps explain how children are adept to shift from 1 stage of theory into the next. The 1st stage of Piaget s concept survives from birth to roughly age 2 and is centered on the infant attempting to make sense of the world. During the sensor motor stage, an infant s wisdom of the world is restricted to their sensory observations and motor activities. Behaviors are restricted to trouble free motor reactions produced by sensory stimuli. Children use skills and abilities they were born with, such as looking, sucking, grasping, and listening, to learn more about the natural environment. The sensor motor stage can be separated into 6 separate substages that are distinguished by the growth of a new skill. Throughout this substage, the child appreciates the atmosphere entirely through inborn reflexes such as sucking and looking. This substage involves coordinating sensation and new schemas. • 35. The Psychological Factors Of Sports Psychology Essay Introduction Sports psychology is the scientific study of the psychological factors associated with the participation and performance in sport (Dahlkoetter, 2002). A sports psychologist s main focus is on using psychological skills to improve an athlete s performance and understanding how the participation in sports can improve health (Beyond performance: Training sport psychologists in Australia, 2012). Psychological Skills training (PST), although often neglected due to perceived unimportance, makes up a high percentage of sports training (Weinberg Gould, 2007). Techniques used to improve health and sport performance includes goal setting, imagery and motivation training, stress management and peak performance training (Cohn, n.d.). These techniques can be used to help an athlete with performance anxiety to overcome it. What is CBT? The cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that challenges negative thought patterns in order to improve a persons mind set (Better health Channel, 2014). This type of therapy is made up of two main therapies: Cognitive and behaviour. The behaviour therapy looks at how the situation effects the reaction to the situation (Hemmings Holder, 2009). The cognitive therapy further details this by analysing what a person thinks about the situation, how they talk to themselves about the situation and what images are at play in their minds for the situation (O Donoghue, 2016). • 37. The Sermon On The Mount ( And The Plain ) Inherent Value in the Sermon on the Mount (and the Plain) Critical analysis of Christian doctrine often suggests overlapping principles concerning teachings. That is, the teachings of one individual, such as a disciple of Christ are re interpreted and introduced by another, heightening discussion on historical relevance, intent, ethical implications and methods of delivery. The Sermon on the Mount and the Sermon on the Plain fall under this category of controversial interpretation. One is recognized as essentially playing off the other, delivering the same message while delivering a new level of interpretation. Literary interpretation of the gospel is ever changing due to the influential nature of the modern environment, where current actions shape the initiatives of the past. While the common understanding is that these sermons lack independence as one re introduces the theories taught in the previous sermon, the theory requires further interpretation before formulating a conclusion on the independent or collective nature of the sermons. As one examines Christian doctrine, common ground or interpreting the same message throughout becomes a constant action. That is, disciples and followers of Christ who spread the word to others are likely to deliver the same message, as the Word of God acts as the founding origin for these teachings. Peru s economy has gone through many changes but it is largely based on the original Incan economical system which ran based on geographical location and what the areas had to offer. Commercial mining is the second largest contributor the economy today, it accounts for roughly sixty percent of the country s exports and with more than eighty companies and two hundred commercial mines it s not surprising.
