The short story The Story of an Hour , written by Kate Chopin, is a brilliant piece of writing that
incorporates many different literary elements. In the story, Mrs. Mallard is told that her husband has
died within a train crash. She falls into a spontaneous depression where she weeps uncontrollably. She
then realizes that she will be happy in the time to come and cheers up. Her husband Brently Mallard
then walks into the house and Mrs. Mallard has a heart attack and dies. In the short story The Story of

and the Queen Mother broke out into agony and mourned the loss of their men at Salamis. The group
professes how the Persians were cursed with Black Fate , and the gods willed the victory of the

Racial Identity
Introduction:
As someone who identifies as a multi racial woman, I have found that my racial location in society has
been different based on who I am around. I am of lighter skin, and I have acknowledged I am more
privileged than a woman who is darker than me. As a multi racial woman, I at times have had to make
sure I fit in based on who I was surrounded by. I am aware that in ways I do benefit from white
privilege, but in a lot of ways I am still put into the subordinate group by the dominate racial groups. I
fully became aware of my racial identity as a child, going to a predominately white elementary school.
After my encounters with some of the peers and teachers at this school, I became aware that I was
different , and for the first time not feeling fully accepted into my peer groups.

As stated before I identify as a multi racial woman. I am African American, White, and Lebanese.
Racially I can fall into both subordinate and dominate groups. I am a lighter skinned, multi racial
woman, and in many ways, have been treated differently compared to those who have a darker skin
tone. Because lighter skin is viewed as more acceptable, I have been treated better by the dominant
racial group. The fact that my skin is lighter does put me at the higher end of the dominant spectrum. I

In order to do that, companies must really grill applicants during the interview process and this is
rather nerve racking for a candidate and can cause even the best employees to stumble. Mock
interviews provide students an opportunity to practice being grilled without a job being on the line. As

4 Week Training Report
Training to Be Better AS.4 Kata Brill
This report summarises and requires me to discuss performing physical activities which are there to
improve a final goal. Over the six weeks I completed a training programme suited to these activities,
cooper run, vertical test, max push ups, agility test and max leg press. I did this through a variety of
gym sessions, runs or interval training. Which can hopefully positively adopt into my basketball.
Over my 6 weeks of training I had to do pre tests and post test. For the cooper run I did nearly 7 laps
of a 400m track and on my post test did 7 full laps. Push ups, 42 pre test to 50 post test. Max Leg
Press of 80kg 22 pre test 30 post test. Agility Test pre test 19,87, post test 18.72. Vertical Test 59cm to
61cm. To accomplish improving all these areas I set a 4 week training schedule which specified on
these tests for improvements. Which comprehensively worked as all my tests improved from pre to
post.
