Below you will find collections of the 3 major assignment types for this unit of study:
● Summative Tasks (in blue)
● Formative Tasks (green)
● Chili Pepper Homework Tasks (red)
The title of each assignment links to the instruction page for that assignment, which can
also be found on the Moodle page. The assessment criteria are linked to rubrics, which
outline exactly what you need to do to achieve the highest level for each criterion.
Summative Tasks
These are the major summative assessments that count for grades on the report card. ​ALL
of these assessments are ​REQUIRED​ . You can click on the assessment title to see the
instructions for that particular task, which will also be shared with you via Google
Classroom and Drive. You can click on the assessment criteria to see rubrics for each one.

though you don’t earn an achievement grade on homework, your engagement with the
homework is a big part of your effort grades on report cards, ​AND​ it largely determines how

At the molecular level, how is
matter conserved in chemical
reactions?
● Create a word cloud to outline how matter is conserved.
● Write a level 3-4 multiple choice quiz (and the mark scheme!) testing other
students’ understanding of chemical reactions.

Energy and Change in Chemistry Grade 10 Year 5 MYP Science Instructions Below you will find collections of the 3 major assignment types for this unit of study: ● Summative Tasks (in blue) ● Formative Tasks (green) ● Chili Pepper Homework Tasks (red) The title of each assignment links to the instruction page for that assignment, which can also be found on the Moodle page. The assessment criteria are linked to rubrics, which outline exactly what you need to do to achieve the highest level for each criterion. Summative Tasks These are the major summative assessments that count for grades on the report card. ​ALL of these assessments are ​REQUIRED​ . You can click on the assessment title to see the instructions for that particular task, which will also be shared with you via Google Classroom and Drive.
