This document outlines a project management framework that includes four phases - Initiate, Plan, Execute, and Close. It describes the key documents, approvals, and stakeholders involved at each stage of a project from initial request through completion and sign-off. Key deliverables include scoping analyses, statements of work, project plans, status reports, and lessons learned documentation. The framework is intended to provide governance and standard processes for managing technology projects.
Project Management is a well defined concept found in many guidebooks and Bodies of Knowledge. Putting these guides and BOK’s to work for the benefit of the enterprise is the role of Project Governance

How to develop and govern a Technology Strategy in 10 weeksLeo Barella
This presentation covers the organizational layout, EA Services and EA Governance processes necessary to develop and govern a technology strategy effectively.
This was my dream assignment. I set up and built capabilities for a Project Management Office for a new technology division. I worked with my leadership, within the team, across with key stakeholders to design and implement a standardized Project Management approach for the team. The capstone of this experience, however, was working on the next phase of the PMO office. This presentation is what we shared with our division leadership to document our growth and map out ways to strengthen our capabilities.

Discover the right tools for your Project Management Office (PMO)Hussain Bandukwala
No matter what the domain, having the right tools at our disposal can make a significant difference.
In relevance to the PMO, it dictates the shift in our focus from management to administration.
Project/Program Managers often find themselves scrambling around to collect pertinent and accurate information to update their statuses, while Resource Managers may have to connect with several people to determine if they efficiently staffed their resources and have sufficient bench to staff upcoming initiatives.
These are some of the reasons to compel PMOs to surround themselves with the right tools. But what are the right tools? How did we end up with the not-so-right-tools? Why are the right tools so important?

Let Aprio perform your next Technology Assessment
There are many aspects, components and dependencies to consider when designing or improving a comprehensive technology environment for passing audits or compliance readiness. This framework was created back in 2015, revised in 2017 and improved again in January 2019 to help our clients' leadership, stakeholders and technology management teams understand the breadth of their 'current-state' environment and then help us articulate the many moving targets and critical controls requirements for 'future-state' planning, budgeting, execution, testing, operations hand-off, monitoring and achieving sustainability.
There are many aspects, components and dependencies to consider when designing and improving a comprehensive technology environment for passing audits or compliance readiness. This framework was created by Mark Mahre back in 2015, revised in 2017 and improved again in January 2019 to help our clients' leadership, stakeholders and technology management teams understand the breadth of the 'current-state' environment and then help articulate the many moving targets and critical controls requirements for 'future-state' planning, budgeting, executing, testing, operations hand-off, monitoring and sustainability.
Aprio’s Business Technology Consulting Services “BTCS” offers strategic and tactical solutions that enable clients to achieve significant returns on their technology investments by improving existing systems and designing and implementing new solutions.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
Let's dive deeper into the world of ODC! Ricardo Alves (OutSystems) will join us to tell all about the new Data Fabric. After that, Sezen de Bruijn (OutSystems) will get into the details on how to best design a sturdy architecture within ODC.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
