Sayyed Jani, known as Gorlin cyst, is a distinct odontogenic cyst characterized by ghost cell keratinization, first described by Gorlin in 1962. It typically appears as a painless swelling in the maxilla or mandible around the age of 30 and is associated with other odontogenic lesions; it presents as well-defined, unilocular radiolucent lesions on radiographs. The cyst shows a histological feature of ghost cells and has a fibrous connective tissue lining with fluid-filled lumens, while enucleation and recurrence are rare.
