1. Good High School Essay Topics
Writing an essay on the topic of "Good High School Essay Topics" can be quite challenging for
several reasons. Firstly, the term "good" is subjective and can vary greatly depending on
individual preferences, academic standards, and the specific requirements of the assignment.
What one person considers a good essay topic may not resonate with another. Secondly, high
school essay topics need to strike a balance between being engaging and relevant to the student's
interests while also aligning with the educational objectives set by the curriculum. Finding this
balance can be tricky, as students may struggle to identify topics that both inspire them and meet
the academic criteria.
Additionally, the process of brainstorming potential essay topics requires creativity and critical
thinking skills. Students may find it challenging to generate original ideas that haven't been
explored extensively before or that offer a fresh perspective on a familiar subject. Furthermore,
even after selecting a topic, students must conduct thorough research to gather relevant
information and evidence to support their arguments effectively. This research process can be
time-consuming and demanding, particularly for students who are juggling multiple assignments
and extracurricular activities.
Moreover, crafting a well-structured and coherent essay requires strong writing skills, including
the ability to articulate ideas clearly, organize thoughts logically, and convey arguments
persuasively. Many high school students are still developing these skills and may struggle with
aspects such as proper grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary choice. Additionally,
students must ensure that their essays adhere to academic conventions, such as citing sources
correctly and formatting the paper according to specific style guidelines.
In summary, writing an essay on the topic of "Good High School Essay Topics" presents various
challenges, including the subjective nature of what constitutes a good topic, the need for
creativity and critical thinking in topic selection, the time and effort required for research, and
the demands of effective writing and adherence to academic conventions.

The molecules are endogenous and exogenous ligands. This binding process is
significant in pathophysiology of sepsis. Endogenous is an infection that occurs
internally. While exogenous is an infection that developed from an outside factor.
The poster showed that mice with this receptor increased inflammation, decreased
survival, and increased bacterial organisms. Another thing that increased was the
expression of SRA on monocytes and macrophages. This means that SRA is binding
more often to the negatively charged molecules in the exogenous and endogenous
molecules.
Flow cytometry was used to determine the SRA expression on the control group and
the group that they treated with LPS media. When treated with LPS, the expression
increased. LPS is a TLR 4 ligand. They also mixed LPS and PAM3CSK4, which is
TLR 2 ligand. When they mixed the two, the expression was no different than the
control cells.
The way they determined the mechanism that increased SRA expression was they
treated the cell line with media that stimulated toll like receptors which are the innate
immune receptors in this case. This is when they used the LPS media and the LPS
/PAM3CSK4 media. Then the cells were stained with an SRA
3. Legal Laws In Aunt Ella s Pie Company
This paper will look at how Aunt Ella s Pie Company can avoid violating any legal
laws through Human Resource Manager s creating policies resulting in best
practice. The EEOC is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to
discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person s race,
color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation),
national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information (U.S. EEOC,

business complies with business legal laws and avoiding lawsuits.

HR should review and approve terminating employees to ensure that fair procedures
performed.
Unionized Employees
Employee employer relationship regarding employees who are members of a
union will have union representation to warrant a cause versus a non union
employee when it comes to employment at will doctrine. The bakers, sales staff and
warehouse workers would have the right to have union negotiate their
employment. While the union members will have security when it comes to pay,
hours, work compensation, employees are subject to termination due policy
violation as the cause as justification. Since Aunt Ella s Pie Company has
employees working seven (7) days and fifty (50) hours a week, during busy times,
the business faces possible allegation of unfair practices in wages. Employee must
receive wages for each day worked and at time and a half above 40 hours per week. A
lawsuit will cost the company a larger settlement due to violation of failing to issue
overtime pay, then if the employees received proper wages.
Harassment and Discrimination
Companies should include freedom from discrimination from recruiting, to hiring and
during employment on the application, in the policy handbook and as staff meetings.
Consequently, diversity in the workplace allows businesses to meet the needs of the
customers as diversity is not just the right

The Change in Method of Suffragettes Between 1903 and 1915 From 1903 through to
1915, the methods that the suffragettes used to gain the right to vote dramatically
changed. In my essay I will explain how and more importantly why the suffragettes
went through several methods to get themselves noticed by the male government. It
was in 1903 when the suffragettes started to try and gain enough publicity so that
they were recognised. This tactic mainly consisted of ineffectual activities like
producing and then distributing leaflets. Most people would just discard or throw
these away. The newly founded WSPU, (which was formed by Emily Pankhust)
would also make pointless petitions and organise moves... Show more content on

They did this by heckling MP s. This meant that they would chain themselves to
MP s houses, their limo s or anywhere else the MP s were, especially David Lloyd
George. They also organised large scale demonstrations that would hold up traffic for
hours and deliberately get themselves arrested to gain publicity. All of these things
were done to show the government that they were not to be messed with, but
unfortunately the women were only charged with petty vandalism. This is why
Christabelle Pankhurst decided the suffragettes would call the government s bluff
and begin their third campaign, violence. Not only this but they also changed tack
because of the situation concerning the conciliation bills. Lloyd George promised to
present a conciliation bill to parliament if they called off their militancy campaign.
They agreed to this but the bill presented was simply talked out . Another two bills
suffered the same fate until the women again felt betrayed by the Liberals and David
Lloyd George in particular. Because of this the womens militancy campaign got
worse not better, but at least womens emancipation was being discussed where it
mattered most, parliament. From 1911 the suffragettes went up a gear and tried to
call the governments bluff. They started to cause a real stir and politicians took
notice, for the wrong reasons.
5. Analysis Of The Film Six Degrees Of Separation
Literary point of view is the perspective from which the story is told and it plays a
crucial role in any story because it decides both how the story and its characters are
presented. Point of view also controls how much the audience sees and knows, thus
regulating the pace of the story.
In the film Six Degrees of Separation, the point of view alternates between many
characters, adding depth to the storyline and advancing the plot. The story is mainly
told from the Kittredge s point of view, allowing us to see most of the events through
their eyes. The film follows their journey to find the truth behind Paul and his
schemes. However, in order to discover the truth, they must first consult with other
characters who have also interacted with Paul. Every time the Kittredges exchange
stories with another person, the point of view shifts to the person that the Kittredges
are talking to. This allows us to see Paul from the perspective of many different
characters, giving us the opportunity to learn how Paul interacts with different
types of people. We can learn how they feel about Paul and his mannerisms which
adds depth to both Paul and the story. This really helps us to gain a deeper
understanding of Paul because we learn not only of his backstory but also of the
motives behind his actions. We are also able to witness how Paul develops throughout
the story from the perspectives of multiple people.
This adroit use of point of view allows the audience to learn more and more

I choose to compare Yelp, TripAdvisor and Netflix. They all offer service on line.
The similar big data challenges for them is that in face of mountains of data, they
changed their data strategy and adjust to the market quickly.
Yelp, launched in 2004, has evolved so much from identifying great restaurants in
urban areas to providing user generated recommendations on a variety of merchants
across more than 30 countries, having it service mainly in the form of mobile device.
Since January 2013, yelp has experienced high traffic because of huge amounts of
users logging in activities, which needs big data infrastructure and data mining. In
2015, site s star ratings system is being supplemented with objective healthcare data
with the corporation with ProPublica. Yelp now uses Amazon Redshift to manage
petabyte scale data warehouse, uses MapReduce extensively and builds its
infrastructure on Amazon cloud, and uses Amazon Simple Storage Service to store
daily logs and photos of businesses.
TripAdvisor, found in 2000, is a travel website that offers reviews of travel related
content such as hotels, restaurants, and attractions. TripAdvisor is using several Big
Data techniques to provide such service, ranging from large scale real time analytics,
predictive analytics, data mining and statistical modelling. It has also developed a
custom Big Data platform, technologies including Hadoop, SQL Server, Hive,

8. The Harm in Low Carb Diets
Low carb diets are basically anti carbohydrates diets. Low carb diets make you eat
fewer carbs than most doctors would suggest. While the experts recommend that
adults get about half of their calories from carbs, low carb diet limits the eating of
carb to10 percent of daily calories consumed. Before going anti carb, lets know
what they are. Carbs are very important nutrients in food. They are the body s main
energy source, supplying energy for everyday activities and making sure
everything from your muscles to brain is working properly. Not all carbs are
nutritious. Good ones are processed and are full of vitamins and minerals, for
example: whole grain pasta and bread, veggies, and fruit. Bad ones come from
foods like white bread and sugary sweets, which are full of calories and don t have
a lot of nutritional value. There are many many low carb diets. the most popular
ones include Atkins, Dukan, Eco Atkins, Medifast, the Paelo and the South beach
diet. In my opinion the Atkins diet is the most popular because of it results: Notice
that the difference of time is about 3 weeks The Atkins diet is diet which cuts down
carbohydrates and makes you focus on fats and proteins, etc.. The Atkins diet has

9. Social Pressure For Cis White Straight Males
MOGAI people are underrepresented in Computer Science and Computer
engineering due to many of the same reasons why women are underrepresented: the
amount of social pressure for cis white straight conservative males (CWSCMs) to go
into STEM and for those not CWSCMs to pursue more fitting positions and fields;
the amount of brogrammer, brogamer, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia,
xenophobia, and straight male dominance in STEM and tech fields and culture; and
finally the amount of inequitable barriers to STEM and tech fields. This is entirely
unethical and needs to be changed greatly to improve STEM and tech fields, along
with giving equity to MOGAI individuals and the community. In addition, many
argue that these demands would be special or extra rights, which is inaccurate as this
assumes the actions needed to boost non CWSCM people to equitable positions
would cause an inequitable situation for CWSCMs.
Discussion
A 2015 report of Queer in STEM: Workplace Experiences Reported in a National
Survey of LGBTQA Individuals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics Careers found the data gathered suggests a broader phenomenon of
gendered culture in STEM workplaces in fields with fewer women, the climate may
be less comfortable for anyone who fails to conform to a straight male gender
presentation. This supports the argument that the STEM community actively wards
off anyone that is MOGAI from participation or inclusion. Furthermore, a lack of
10. Similarities Between King Lear And Catcher In The Rye
The truth of one s character can be expressed through his or her own thoughts,
actions, and words. Respectively, one s downfall is embodied by his or her own
character. In William Shakespeare s King Lear, Lear s character is depicted as one
who descends into madness as a result of his irrational actions early in the play.
Similarly, Holden Caulfield, from J.D Salinger s The Catcher in the Rye, enters the
coming of age process; however, his behaviour illustrates his ongoing cynicism and
depression. The reasons behind Learand Holden s downfall exist in the physical,
social and psychological flaws they inherit as tragic heroes. Both individuals suffer
immensely from their unreasonable actions from ill considered decision making, their
inability to maintain genuine relationships with others, and the psychological conflict
within them.
Although both protagonists come from contrasting statuses and time periods, Lear
and Holden are alike in the way that they make arbitrary decisions, thus, breeding
foolish actions. As a king, Lear carries himself with great pride and dignity;
however, it is this power that clouds his vision in making well thought out
decisions. In the beginning of the play, Lear decides to divide his kingdom into
three a section for each daughter. The scene ends unsuccessfully with Cordelia and
Kent being banished Lear. When Lear asks his daughters who love him the most, he
sees Cordelia s response as rejection compared to the responses of Goneril and Regan.
11. Female Stereotypes Stereotypes
many as successful female artists as there are male in the rap genre. There is
serious talent being exhibited with these young female rappers and I feel the public
just refuse to give their time to even bother with these artists. For a young girl
wanting to be a famous artist, it can be dream crushing to realize this is more of an
impossible decision. A few female famous artists today can explain how this became
a stereotype and made this an impossible career pathway.
Even though these stereotypes are partially ruining the careers of potential young
talented female rappers, there are some artists who are not contributing to the cause.
Due to the fame of certain female rappers, these artists are not trying to stop the
stereotype, but are actually embracing them which does not help the younger artists

Women were especially not seen as listening to this type of music, let alone

there was not a good amount of females rapping. Since this is known male dominated

13. Adult Learning Philosophy
Until I began studying human development at SIU, I had no idea that so many
theories solely about how adults learn even existed. I must admit, I find it all to be
a bit overwhelming to say the least. The reason I began the workforce education
program specifically was because I want to help catalyst and bring about change in
people s lives. The philosophy that my own personal philosophy falls in line with the
most and I received the highest scored in, would be behaviorist. My personal
philosophy on adult learningis simple; I want to promote behavioral change for the
betterment of all humankind. I believe this can be achieved through proper
guidance. There should be some form of support that acts as a compass to help
those who lose their way or experience difficulties along the way. During this

Watson in early twentieth century, this theory includes the work of such people as
Thorndike, Tolman, Guthrie, Hull, and Skinner (Merriam 278). Later came B.F.
Skinner s major contribution to the understanding of learning known as operant
conditioning. Simply stated, operant conditioning means reinforce what you want
the individual to do again; ignore what you want the individual to stop doing
(Merriam 279). It s all about the reinforcement of observed behavior and
contributing to that behavior with an environment conducive to learning what s
expected of them. Through conditioning, real results will take place. I could apply
this depending on the level of taxonomy to ensure the learner meets the objective. I
understand that some learners may not meet the objective especially after how
Charlie explained the providing of a safe learning environment. I will give my all
in providing instruction and creating a non hostile place to do what is being asked

drives and our childhood experiences, (particularly five years of age). (4) Parental
techniques embraced and exacted onto us shape our behaviours as adults. Differences
(Psychodynamic vs. Behaviourist approach) A key distinction between the
psychodynamic and behaviourist methodology is regarding nature/nurture debate.
The psychodynamic methodology considers both nature and nurture while the
behaviourist approach just considers the nurture side of the debate. In the
psychodynamic approach, Freud guaranteed that adult personality is the result of
inherent drives (nature) and childhood experiences (nurture). These inborn drives
include the structure of the personality, the Id, Ego and Superego and, in addition, the
psychosexual stage of development... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The primary standard of the behaviourist approach is that all behaviour is ought to
be quantifiable in a quantitative way. Behaviour is ought to be studied objectively
and variables ought to be operationalised so they are simplified and easy to
measure. For instance, Bandura s work was done under lab conditions, a standout
amongst the most scientific methods; whereby children were assigned to test
conditions (aggressive group) or control condition (non aggressive group). By
changing the variables, Bandura could infer that hostility was because of the social
learning hypothesis. On the other hand, the psychodynamic approach is not
scientific as it is not testable, which makes it hard to falsify. A decent hypothesis
ought to have the capacity to be tested to demonstrate in the event that it is correct
or incorrect. It is hard to test this hypothesis scientifically. For instance, the use of
dream analysis is a subjective method and there are no exploratory estimations of
interpretation. Additionally a lot of Freud s work was in view of a very small
sample and it is hard to generalise these discoveries to other individuals in the

Tennis has a long standing history that like many other sports has been around for a

The story Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. is about a couple in the year
2081. In 2081 the government wants everyone to be equal so they hand out
handicaps to people with good looks, vision, strength, brains, and other talents. The
couple, Hazel and George Bergeron, are watching dancers on tv when an announcer
comes on. He says a person named Harrison Bergeronhas escaped prison. Then they
hear a thud and see a figure matching Harrison s description at the door. He goes up
to the stage, rips off his handicaps, and asks one of the dancers to volunteer to be
his Empress. When one comes up he takes off her handicaps and they begin to
dance. They start to float till they kiss the ceiling. The doors burst open and in
walks the Handicapper General. She pulls out a gun and shoots them both. I m

characters, specifically Harrison and Hazel Bergeron, have nice subtle backstories.

Malcolm X, an African American male growing up in the United States in the mid
1900 s. At this time in America prejudice and segregation were widespread and
much a part of everyday life. Malcolm takes the reader through his experiences with
American society, which rejects him. This rejection, along with the inferiority cast
upon all Black Americans, forces these males to search for acceptance. They are
forced to search for purpose in causes greater than single individuals. As the book

American males. The Autobiography shows how during this time in American history

Load Optimum MPLS Routing with Routers and Links (N+M)
ABSTRACT:
MPLS is now a days the most important thing in the intra domain routing (i.e.
routing in own domain or network). The main advantage of MPLS is the
flexibility it offers towards traffic engineering ex. To support higher demand
without overloading any links. Most of the major vendors are now offering MPLS
routers and many ISPs are deploying MPLS in their IP backbone as well as in
ATMs and frame relays. Because of this increase in transition to MPLS we are
required to increase our knowledge towards the importance and limitations of MPLS.

It can provide applications like Traffic Engineering, Quality of Service and Virtual
Private Networks. The packets in MPLS are directed through the network based
on an assigned label. The label is associated through the network with an assigned
path which allows a higher level of control on the packets than in packet switched
networks. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and priorities to be
assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of
fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of
controlling how traffic flows through ones network so as to optimize resource
utilization and network performance [3]. It is performed by detouring the traffic to
paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst the paths as per the
various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state
dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so
that they can avoid the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in
short time scale depending on different metrics calculated both online and offline of
the present traffic and the time dependent policies engineer it based on long time
scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the congestion.

21. Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Research Paper
Many authors like to write fantasy novels, stories that detached themselves from
reality, novels that tell us about magic, parallel dimensions, between others. But even
in these fictional stories there is still the presence of the universal themes that can be
touched not only in this kind of novels but also in the simpler ones, themes like the
fight between good and evil, love, between others.
There are also the authors that actually mix the fantasy and the reality to a point
that it is really hard to see the difference between them, Gabriel Garcia Marquez is
said to be the father of this gender called Magic Realism , he said that the reason
that he sees the world in that particular way of his, is because of the persons ... Show

This fact was what inspired him to write Autumn of the Patriarch a story that talks
about an eternal dictator, he based this character in real life autocrats like Gustavo

characters like the autocrats in the Autumn of the Patriarch but also people of his own

22. Amee Latour s Article Analysis
INTRODUCTION
Self esteem is essentially how you feel about yourself and how you judge your
value. It is a state of mind that can be changed. These days many people are having
low self esteem issues. In this article by Amee LaTour, she has talked about what
are the causes of low self esteem. She presents her points in the form of an article.
This paper will review Amee LaTour s arguments and will assess the quality of her
writing and concentrate on any zones of shortcomings in this article.
SUMMARY
This section contains a summary of Amee LaTour s article. She wrote this article to
discuss the causes of low self esteem. LaTour stated that self esteem is just about
how a person feels about themselves. She says that the main cause of low self esteem

One if it is she used to many bombastic words in her writing. This might cause the
reader to be confused with what they are reading. For example the usage of the
word existential crisis (Amee LaTour 2014) (p.14) (line 108). This problem also
continued when she used the word inadequate (Amee LaTour 2014) (p.12) (line 95).
Another shortcoming in this article is that it is hard to know where to go with
LaTour s arguments. In expressing her concerns about the causes of low self esteem,
LaTour thinks that the choices a person make can improve their self esteem (p.18)
(line142) . This is an unrealistic argument. The choices that a person might not be the
only affect of this issue as their surrounding and environment can also be a factor of
having low self esteem. CONCLUSION
This critical review has reviewed an article 8 common causes of low self esteem by
Amee Latour . This article is very interesting and factful. It offers the dark side of
having low self esteem issues. She does a good job in making her article reader
friendly. However her writing is weakened by the presence of bombastic words and

23. The Killers Film Analysis
The 1946 film The Killers is a renowned film noir based off of Ernest Hemingway s
short story of the same title, focusing on the detailed backstory and investigation for
the motive of the murder of Pete Lund/Ole Anderson, commonly known and
referred to as The Swede. A film noir is a term made originally to describe
American mystery and thriller movies produced in the time period from 1944 1954,
primarily marked by moods of menace, pessimism, and fatalism. Although the film
does not focus on the war itself at all, it still puts forth interesting new ways in how
genderrelations can be stereotypical as well as divergent proceeding the Second
World War. The film begins with two hired assassins, dubbed as The Killers

whom revealed that following his release, The Swede was involved in a massive
$250,000 payroll heist at a hat company, a company that Jim s insurance company

the heist in accurate detail. Before his death, Blinky reveals that the set meeting

accuses Colfax of attempting to pull a fast one, and proceeds to take all of the
money for himself while holding everyone at gunpoint. After hearing all of this,
Reardon is certain that the payroll heist is linked to the murder of The Swede.
Reardon then returns to Brentwood to investigate The Swede s room, only to find
Dum Dum rummaging through the room in search of loot from the heist. Through a

24. A Christian Reading of Hamlet Essay
A Christian Reading of Hamlet
In a famous article, The Christian Tragic Hero, Poet W. H. Auden defines a
Christian tragic hero according to the Judeo Christian view that all people are moral
agents and own responsibility for their actions. One of his examples is Macbeth, who
listens to the witches and is tempted to commit a crime that he knows is wrong. Auden
says that the audience s response to Macbeth s fall is, What a pity it was this way
when it might have been otherwise. This contrasts with the pagan tragic hero, like
Oedipus, who is bound by fate. Because Oedipus can do nothing about his ancestry,
the audience s response is, What a pity it had to happen this way. 1
Just as Macbeth s tragedy begins when he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indeed, he is echoing the well known Bible warning:
For Satan himself is transformed into an Angel of light. Therefore it is not great thing
though his ministers transform themselves, as though they were the ministers of
righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. (II Corinthians 11:14,15)4
Hamlet expresses a moral awareness here, just as Macbeth did when admitted to
himself and his wife that murder was wrong. Hamlet is admitting that he could be
deceived. He goes on in the above soliloquy, though, to justify himself saying he will
use The Murder of Gonzago play to see whether or not the ghost is lying.
The Geneva Bible on Ghosts
Shakespeare s England was patriotically Protestant. From a Protestant perspective
there is even more than just the possibility of deception. The Bible prohibits any
consultation with the dead.
Let none be found among you that...asketh counsel of the dead...because of these
abominations the Lord thy God doth cast them out before thee. (Deuteronomy 18:10
12)
Just as Hamlet acknowledges in the above quotation, the result of consulting the dead
is being cast out being damned.
The tragedy of King Saul in the Bible illustrates this. Saul, the first King of Israel,
has turned his back on God, but he is still looking for advice before going to battle
against the Philistines. He goes a medium and
25. Second World War Propaganda Analysis
After being thrust into the Second World War after the attack on Pearl Harbor, a
majority of Americans came together, driven by shock and nationalism. Avenge Pearl
Harbor! became a rallying cry for Americans across the nation. The effort of
mobilization encompassed the entire nation; from big business to private companies
to victory gardens, the nation was ready for a two front war, in terms of machinery
and morale. Wartime manufacturing mass produced thousands of aircraft, armored
vehicles, and trucks, along with new inventions such as the radar and early
computers. Propaganda, mostly in the form of posters and political cartoons, sprouted
everywhere to incite nationalism and a sense of duty to Americans. However, for
German, Italian, and Japanese Americans, American World War II propaganda was
typically used against them.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While isolationists and pacifists wanted nothing to do with the war,
interventionists and the general public were spurred on after the bombing of Pearl
Harbor and the declarations of war against Japan and by Germany and Italy. Public
opinion was beginning to mobilize, especially with the help of the Office of War
Information, which sought to portray the war as a people s war for freedom. To
many Americans, the Second World War was a fight for freedom against fascist
enemies who could infringe their rights. According to Franklin D. Roosevelt, the
Four Freedoms were freedom of speech and expression, freedom of religion,
freedom of want, and freedom of fear. The first amendment began to symbolize true
liberty, and President Roosevelt stressed that freedom was a prevailing factor in
America that must be protected by fascist foreign powers. For many Americans, the
war was the fight of good against

27. The Kingdom Of God Essay
In this paper, I will examine the key theme within Jesus ministry which is his
proclamation of the Kingdom (or reign) of God. In order to grasp the significance
and meaning of this promulgation, I will begin by explaining why many scholars
believe that the Kingdom of God is the central theme within Jesusmessage and
ministry. Then I will explore eight significant aspects of the Kingdom of Godthat help
to elucidate this phrase. After looking at these various facets of the kingdom, I will
conclude with a brief explanation of why this theme is so important to understanding
Jesus and his ministry. The initial question that needs to be addressed is: why do
many scholars think that the proclamation of the Kingdom of God is the key theme
of Jesus message and ministry? For many scholars, Jesus ministry derives its
meaning and serves only one particular function which is to proclaim God s final
reign and kingdom. Scholars are very confident about this theme s centrality because
of the numerous occurrences within Jesus sayings about the Kingdom of God.
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus employs three different and inter changeable
expressions to talk about God s reign which is: the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom
of God, and the Kingdom of my Father. These references to God s reign can be found
either implicitly or explicitly in Jesus parables, prayer, beatitudes, eschatological
prophecies, [and] miracle stories. Another reason why scholars think that the

In his novel Whale Done, Ken Blanchard illustrates the power that his Whale Done
strategy can have on a manager s relationships, not only with his employees but also
with his family and friends. Blanchard argues that his strategies, including redirection
and accentuating the positive, can make a major difference in work and family
relationships. He believes that these strategies will increase employee productivity
and forge stronger relationships through positive interactions. In an easy to read,
informative style, Blanchard communicates how I can put his strategies in place in
my life to make more effective choices within my relationships.

Blanchard illustrates this when Jim Barnes implicitly threatens Wes Kingsley s job
because Wes is being too soft. Jim assumes that since Wes, like every worker, lacks
motivation and wants to do as little as possible while still collecting a pay check, it
is his responsibility to provide a direct reward or punishment in order to ensure Wes s
performance. This contrasts sharply with the style Wes learns from Shamu and the
Seaworld team, who believe that trust between whale and trainer (in Wes s case,
manager and employee) is most important. This falls in line with Theory Y
management in its belief that under proper, caring (WRONG WORD) management,
workers can be self motivated and flourish. Similar to how Dave Yardley believes
Shamu inherently enjoys performing (when treated well), Theory Y/Whale Done
managers trust that their workers want to succeed and welcome responsibility above
the bare minimum. The managers believe that it is just as much in their employees
nature to work and complete tasks as it is to rest or play. Both Blanchard and
MacGregor illustrate that Theory Y/Whale Done management is clearly best not only
for employee morale, but also productivity. When a manager trusts his or her
employees to excel and an
29. Essay about Comparing Hitler and Napoleon
Comparing Hitler and Napoleon
There were differences between Hitler and Napoleon, however I feel there were more
similarities. They were both immigrants in the country they ended up ruling, both
conquered most of Europe, both had radical views about fighting, and both were very
quick in their fighting. However, the most significant similarities between the two
leaders is how they were accepted as monarchs in a previously democratic society,
and what they did for the countries after becoming monarchs.
Hitler and Napoleon were accepted as monarchs for three major reasons. Both
countries were hoping for the returning strength of the monarchy. The people of
Germany and France were tired of inflation, and threats of invasion, and both ... Show

By eliminating the economic crisis in their countries and establishing a feeling of
national security, they raised national pride and patriotism to amazing levels.
Both men also had similar radical views about fighting. Both called for a fight to the
death when enemy armies were approaching, and when their countries had exhausted
all of their manpower, they both used children and teens in their fighting. Hitler used
the Hitler youth, and Napoleon used the Marie Louises, who were only fifteen years
old. However, the speed of their fighting may be the most amazing.
Hitler, under his personal command and planning conquered all of Poland in only 24
days, and Napoleon conquered most of Austria and all of Sardinia in 9 days. They
both followed these victories with even larger, faster victories. Hitler took over the
Netherlands, Holland, Belgium and France in just 25 days, and Napoleon
conquered Italy and more of Austria ;in less than one year. This may not sound so
big, but Napoleon had only 30,000 soldiers to start with against over 100,000. Both
men took much from the countries they conquered. They sent back bullion, art and
other valuables. Both captured many soldiers and a large amount of supplies and
weapons as well. Their tactics were described as lightening wars by their oppositions.
Another, more interesting, similarity between Hitler and Napoleon was that they
30. Geographic Information Systems ( Gis )
Since the dawn of time, humanity has always been interested in discovering,
locating and delineating the whereabouts of the world in which it lives. This is why
man decided to create the map. For centuries, maps were created by hand to depict
various known locations locally or globally. Now, with the advent of new technology,
maps can easily be generated by a computer, especially through using GIS
(Geographic Information Systems) software.
I have always been fascinated by maps, geography, and understanding how
everything is arranged in the world. Since GIS allows for the creation of maps
depicting the arrangements of an area in the world using geographic data, there is
nothing else in this world I could be more passionate about.
Geographic Information Systems pose many benefits to mankind. For instance, it has
helped farms adequately provide the food we need for nourishment. GIS helps
farmers make informed decisions on the best locations to farm and what benefits the
lands can provide them, hence increasing their food production. The GIS software
can be used to map land digitally while collecting important information needed to
grow crops such as the topography or lay of the land combined with other statistical
data allowing for easier analysis of the soil. In turn, this makes it easier for farmers
to not only decide what and where to plant but also how to improve their methods of
crop production so that they can earn more and better feed the world.
GIS can also be
31. What Are The Destinies Of Those Who Is Habakkokkuk
After the determination of God to destroy his enemies as mentioned in 1:6, it
suddenly mentions about comfort to those who seek refuge in him in 1:7. Also, it
says God cares for those who trust in him. Then in the next verse, the hymn moves
back to the main theme of destruction. It shows a contrast of two destinies of those
who take refuge of Godand those who oppose God. Why it appears at this location?
The commentary refers this verse as parallel with Psalm 34:8; 100:5 and 135:3
(p.24). It suggests the absence of any names in the prophecy means that people (of
Jerusalem or of Nineveh) have to decide whether they want to be people to whom
verse 7 applies (care) or people to whom verse 8 applies (destruct) (p.25). I do not
agree it is a choice for the people of Nineveh as in verse 8 it mentions about the
unequivocal ending of Nineveh.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, after Habakkuk raises the question in 1:12 17, there seems to be a moment
of silence in 2:1. Why? The commentary mentions that in some OT stories people
apparently get an immediate response when they turn to Yahweh to ask something
but in other people have to wait (p.65). The commentary suggests that it witnesses to
the fact that Yahweh does respond but also the fact of Yahweh s freedom. I agree
with the commentary that Habakkuk should not think up a response and assume it
was Yahweh s. There is a difference between prophecy and theological reflection.
Although there is no mention in the book, I am speculating whether Habakkuk
confrontational attitude changes during that waiting period resulting in his
submission to Yahweh and accepting worst situation in chapter

because the film was not made for that purpose, as a documentary or article may
have. The film was made for the purpose of entertainment, and to tell the story of the
Texas Miner Which it effectively does. In saying that, being a sport psychology
student and after critically watching and examining the film, I was also clearly able
to see many psychological concepts and issues woven throughout the film, there
relationship to sport, and the effects it had on the Texas Miners, and their
Championship winning team.
Throughout the film we, see both the coach, individual players, and the team as a

final. The film is based highly around racism and racial divides within basketball.
Throughout the film we can see a constant battle with the idea of Perception, and how
both player and overcome this. In order to form the 1966 championship winning team,

The Holden Monaro is a coupe sports car in the line of HSV, or Holden Sports
Vehicles, made by its namesake Australian company. The car comes in a couple
different specifications, but the engine is always either a V6 or a V8, making it a
powerful and fast vehicle. The original Monaro was created in 1968 with different
species of car throughout the next three years. The second generation of Holden
Monaros was begun in 1971, which changed the body design of the car completely
as well as made the V6 engine no longer an option. The 1970 s Monaro was
definitely a muscle car, though over the years until 1977 the vehicle became more
of a luxury sedan instead of the hard muscle it had begun with. The Monaro was

The distinct identity that this vehicle has in the marketplace is that it is a phoenix
of cars, reborn out of the old model of the Holden Monaro and made into a new,
slick version. Holden would position this in the market by saying that it is the most
powerful mainstream Holden to be brought out, drawing people who desire that
kind of brawn and intensity in a car. The focus of appeal for the vehicle was how
the Monaro made a possible consumer feel. The older men would feel nostalgia by
thinking of the old Monaro, even though the style of body would be different, the
emotional attachment to the name of Monaro would be the same. The younger
generation might look at the vehicle and feel drawn to its subtle curves and sporty
body design, featuring the double scoop on the hood of the car. The focus of appeal
might be imagining yourself behind the wheel of the Monaro and feeling the power
of the engine and the bucket racing seats, knowing that the car you are driving is
both luxurious and nimble. Something about just looking at the car or watching an
advertisement on the television would stir an emotion in the target market, and
make them likely to go for a test drive and ultimately (hopefully) purchase the car.
In my personal opinion, the Holden Monaro does not hold a spectacularly distinct
product position from the other Holden Sports Vehicles in that line of cars. The
newer models of Holden Commodores are also revitalised versions of the same
vehicle
35. The Four Stages Of The Business Cycle
The four stages of the business cycle are complex phases that our economy
undergoes. To grasp the concept of the stages, you must first be familiarized with the
business cycle itself. The business cycle is the alternating periods of growth and
decline. Or to be more intricate, The business cycle is the periodic but irregular up
and down movement in economic activity, measured by fluctuations in real gross
domestic product (GDP) and other macroeconomic variables, (Inc.com). A business
cycleis comprised of four stages: recovery, peak, recession, and trough.
In the recovery, the economy is growing. It is commonly indicated by a bull
market. The recovery is the increase in the rate of economic activity established by
a moderate to low unemployment percentage, towering development, and swelling
prices. The next phase of the business cycle is the peak. The peak is the most
desired stage for it is the superior point of the cycle. During this stage, the increased
consumer confidence translates into higher levels of business activity. The peak is,
When the economy is overheated, and is in a state of irrational exuberance,
(Inc.com) In other words, the peak is the point at which the economy is as robust as
it can get. Following the peak in the business cycle is the recession. The recession is
when the economy is on the decline and jobs are being lost, unemployment rates
soars, and production is slowing. It identifies the end of a growth interval in the
business cycle. Often,

Not many people know who Harold Camping is just by hearing his name.
However, people do know what he did without the name. Camping shows why
credibility is important and how his actions affect it. He has given us this lesson
of credibility by predicting something that would change the world and it did not
happen. He tried to blame it on a mathematical error and other mistakes. He asked
for forgiveness and due to his actions lost a lot of credibility. He later suffered from a
stroke and died at 92 (Doomsday Harold Camping Dead at 92). Here is the timeline
of his lifetime events leading up to the fail predictions.

His first widely known prediction was that on May 21, 2011 the would would come

that day (Clark). He preached that about 200 million people would be saved and
those who are left behind would eventually witness the Earth, be consumed by a

38. Negative Aspects Of Rap Music
While there are many positive things associated with rap music, the negative
aspects must also be considered while assessing the true value of the genre. In
several studies, rap music has been found to promote violent behavior due to its
aggressive nature and questionable messages. One study, for example, showed
that when listening to rap songs that contained violent lyrics, college students were
more likely to associate with violent words and commit hostile actions. In contrast,
music that contained no violent lyrics had no discernable effect on the subjects
behavior (Palmer 15). Along with its violent nature, there is also the issue that
some rap music is degrading to women by portraying them as sex symbols and
playthings for men. When this type of attitude is broadcasted for young people to
listen to, the false idea that it is acceptable to mistreat women is presented. In
addition to the degradation of women, some rappers also use their lyrics to create
distrust in the police and question the justice system (Giovacchini 2). Some rappers
have no respect for the law and glorify their criminal actions. This can leave the
impression on young, susceptible minds that criminal behavior can be considered
cool or justifiable. While all of these points are valid and must be addressed, one also
cannot ignore the positive ways in which rap music impacts youthand these aspects
must be considered when assessing the value of the genre as a whole.

A Comparison of Three Australopithecines
Just to make it fair for all readers , the Australopithecus is the genus of Pliocene and
Pleistocene hominids. A major characteristic of a hominid is bipedal locomotion or
walking upright on two legs. Several types of Australopithecines have been found but
all lived Africa mostly east Africa about four million years ago. The Australopithecus
is the first definite hominid but they all slightly differ in their features. All species of
the Australopithecus can be split into either a gracile or robust australopithecine. The
gracile group consists of species with smaller dentition and lighter facial features and
includes the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Boisei only seemed to eat the unfavorable foods whenever they were forced into
a dry open environment
The idea is that P. robustus fell back on less preferred, mechanically challenging
items at times of resource stress when preferred foods were unavailable, much like
modern day lowland gorillas do with tough foods ( Unger2).
Many scientists today do not believe that the Australopithecus boisei is an ancestor to
modern humans like the Gracile Australopithecines.
The gracile Australopithecines are much smaller and not so bulky as the
Australopithecines robustus. To describe any of the different species of the gracile
australopithecine s compared to the australopithecus boisei one would include a
smaller dentition and lighter facial and dental muscles than the robust. Many
scientists believe that the gracile australopithecines are direct evolutionary ancestors.
Which concludes that a main differentiating point of comparing the two gracile
compared to the robust is that they are more directly related to modern day humans.
The gracile, australopithecus africanus lived between three to two million years ago
primarily in southern africa during the Pliocene period. The africcanus lived in a
semiarid climate very similar to the climate today. The australpithecus africanus was
small with a height ranging from about three and a half to four and a half feet tall,
and a weight from sixty to ninety pounds. Like humans the Australpithecus africanus

Individual Homework #1 Boeing 787: The Dreamliner
Boeing 787: The Dreamliner Case Study (download from Angel) During the past
decade, Boeing watched as their competitor, Airbus, launched several new and very
successful aircraft. In 2004, Airbus surpassed Boeing in commercial airplanes
delivered and future orders placed. This is the first time that Boeing has ever lost its
leading market share. The 787 is the first new airplane that Boeing has introduced to
the market in a decade. This case study examines how the 787 is strategically

With all the steps that Boeing took, it was guaranteed that Boeing would be
successful in the market.
2. How does the approach used for the 787 s development differ fundamentally from
other airplane projects undertaken by Boeing?
The approach that Boeing 787 took was fundamentally different than other airplane
projects undertaken by Boeing. Boeing built 70% of the products of Boeing 787
from different countries of the world. Boeing has a long standing reputation to be
secretive with their projects, so it was a big step for Boeing to break their privacy
and work with a group of people across geographical boundaries. 35% of the plane s
structure was supplied from Japan. Approximately, 26% of the products were
supplied from Italy. There were teams of 15 companies responsible for the
structure of the plane, 10 teams from USA and the rest from seven other countries.
A lot of the other products were also ordered from different parts of the world,
including the vertical fin from Frederickson as well as the fixed and movable
leading edges of the wing from Tulsa. Once all the parts were built, they were sent
back to USA for the assembly. Also, 787 would be the first aircraft of its kind to
bring long range capabilities to a midsized airplane. It was also the first time Boeing
had its structural suppliers fund their own research and development so that suppliers
had a greater
41. Teaching Strategies For Student Involvement Essay
The students in this class are fifteen to seventeen year olds with one eighteen year
old. I applied my Content and Pedagogy PGE to this lesson using teaching strategies
I acquired at the Argument Writing Workshop. For example, I began with an
icebreaker called This or That, reading aloud a series of controversial statements.
Students who agreed with a statement moved to one side of the room; those who
disagreed moved to the other side. Then students took turns explaining their choices. I
also incorporated close reading strategies covered at the workshop. I applied my
Assessment PGE, using Lexile scores to select texts and initially group students. One
goal for the featured lesson was for students to learn the language of argument writing
(claim, counterclaim, ethos, logos, pathos, etc.). I also wanted students to deduce an
author s position in a text, cite supporting evidence, and analyze text to identify
rhetorical devices. I assessed the featured lesson by observing student involvement in
the discussions and reading the notes students took over the course of the unit. The
final assessment was for each student to write an argument essay on illegal
immigration. The broader context for this lesson was for students to think critically,
work collaboratively, and use effective communication skills. I also wanted students
to consider real world problems and gain respect for differing viewpoints often based
on cultural background and experience. Argument writing is the most used
42. Pursuing A Life At College
At the average age of eighteen, every student must decide what their future will
entail. Some students will choose to skip college to dive into ministry, military
training, or work. Many students, however, do decide to pursue a life at college. In
the United States alone, there are approximately 5,300 different colleges/universities
from which a studentcan choose. This substantial number of colleges often leaves a
student overwhelmed, confused, and stressed over finding their perfect college. As I
have researched, I have narrowed my perfect college choices down to two very
different options, Baylor Universityand Lee University. Baylor University was
founded in 1844 by Reverend William Milton Tryon and District Judge R.E.B.

564 of these students are international (3%). This is significantly larger than Lee
University who has 4,575 with 251 international students (5%). Not only is there a
drastic size difference, but also a drastic cost difference. Baylor charges a total of
$56,776 a year. This large total can be divided up into six categories: tuition
$36,360, various fees $4,038, room and board $11,140, books and supplies $1,276,
transportation $1,174, and personal expenses $2,788. Lee is 48% cheaper coming
in at a total of $27,500. This cost can be divided into four categories: tuition
$14,280, room and board $7,520, books and supplies $1,200, and personal
expenses $4,500. Accompanying the 16,787 students at Baylor are 119 majors
and 77 minors. Lee, on the other hand, has 105 majors and 52 minors. Although
both universities have similar options, Baylor has more of the basic college
majors and minors. Lee, however, has more specialized courses. For example, Lee
offers four different options for Discipleship Ministry major. Both Baylor and Lee
are Christian universities who practice pursuing after Christ in their college
activities. Lee has chapel twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with students
being required to attend 70% of the chapels per a semester. Most of Lee s chapels
are simply worship led by both students and well known artists, but they do often
have speakers as well. Baylor has chapel twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays)
and require students to attend
43. Why The Female Infanticide Is Not A Morally Justifiable
Essay
Eskimos are a nomadic people that occasionally kill their young, especially girls,
for the preservation of their way of life. They do not have room to carry a lot of
kids and if there are no families that are willing to adopt the surplus children,
Eskimos leave the infants out in the snow to die (EMP, 15). This is justified from
their perspective because the men have a higher rate of dying as the ones who go out
to hunt and if they let all the female infants live, the population of women would be
significantly greater than that of the men (EMP, 22). This would in turn lead to
starvation without having men to provide food for them. I am going to argue that the
female infanticide is not a morally justifiable practice. I do not agree that killing these
innocents outweighs the benefits it has to their society. Many arguments that support
female infanticide use the Cultural Relativismtheory to defend their claim. Cultural
Relativism is a theory that depicts how we all have different cultures and different
moralcodes, therefore, it is impossible to judge another s culturefrom our own
perspective (EMP, 19). In this way, female infanticide is justified because Eskimos
do not heartlessly kill the infants, but only do so only because they do not have the
means to care for an extra amount of children (EMP, 22). Although it is true that
they lack birth control, it is still possible to not to have kids: do not have sexual
relations when a woman is ovulating. This is a basic form

The word, bananafish may seem like one of the many imaginary words of a child,
but this was actually thought up by a character named Seymour Glass; a man with
the mind of a non adolescent, and the body of a grown person. Married and in love,
Seymour goes off to fight in World War II. Upon his return, he suffered from Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder. Therefore mentally setting him back for the rest of his
life. For example, through the course of the story, a reader may notice how he
tends to block off most of the people who care about him. J.D. Salinger lived with a
similar mindset to Seymour; he blocked off, not only his loved ones, but society
overall. At the time of writing, A Perfect Day for Bananafish, he had an interest in
Zen Buddhism. In Zen Buddhism, self tranquility is a very strong factor to
practicing the religion. However, they both may be private, but Seymour Glass has
the mindset of a child, due to the war trauma. Sybil, a child Seymour meets on the
beach, is a symbol for Seymour s mind. His childlike mindset causes him trouble
adjusting to the reality of society. The cruel reality for Seymour is the greed the
people in his life have. Therefore the term Banana Fever is a reference to the greed
in society. Just like the Bananafish are greedy for bananas, humans are greedy as
well. So, while everyone is infected with Banana fever. Seymour turns to a serious
solution. With this being said, In the story, A Perfect Day for Bananafish JD Salinger

45. Eu Law Essay
The Treaty of Lisbon (ToL) was signed by twenty seven member states (MS) on 13th
December 2007 and entered into force on 1st December 2009 ending several years of
negotiation about institutional issues. Below we will look at how the ToL has
reformed the European Union (EU). The changes introduced by the ToL lie
predominantly in the areas of constitutional and institutional reform. However,
institutional change is the key driver behind the ToL. We will look at how the ToL
has brought about these changes.
Initially the ToL was named the Reform Treaty however as Portugal held presidency
at the time they were keen to attach their name to it hence the reason it was called the
Treaty of Lisbon. The aim of the ToL was to:

By replacing the EC the three pillar structure which was introduced by the Treaty
of Maastricht and which characterised the EC was abolished by the ToL. The three
pillars together constituted the EC however the ToL abolishes the three pillar
structure and instead the EU will only be one title. Prior to the ToL coming into
force the EC and the EU had different statutes and did not operate the same decision
making rules. The ToL will end this dual system and the EU will have its own legal
personality. This will allow the EU to act more effectively, coherently and credibly in
its relations with the rest of the world.
The institutional framework of the EU has been significantly altered. The need for
transparency, better democratic accountability and enhanced judicial scrutiny has led
to some important improvements in the EU s institutional make up. There are now
seven EU institutions which are listed in Article 13 of the TEU. These are : the
European Parliament; the European Council; the Council; the European Commission;
the Court of Justice of the European Union (formerly the ECJ); the European Central
Bank; and the European Court of Auditors.
The European Parliament (EP) is the one that has changed the most over the years.
The EP was originally set up by the Treaty of Rome as the European Assembly. The
European Assembly changed name to the EP when the Single European Act came
into force. When it was first set up it comprised of

album, Hybrid Theory, which contained massive radio hits (Leahey). Linkin Park

numerous ways to determine the quality and worth of a band and their success.

Hybrid Theory reached Diamond Status when their sales topped ten million (Leahey).
Such an accomplishment allowed the album to be considered as one of the most
successful debuts ever (Leahey). Linkin Park later received three Grammys
nominations for the debut album as well. In the 2000s, Linkin Park not only
received over sixty awards, but they also were nominated for a hundred and sixty
nine more (Leahey). It should also be taken into consideration that the statistics
listed below only refer to one of five albums. Some bands don t even reach Linkin
Park s status of worth after their first album when compared to their entire career.
The amount of years that a band has been together does not necessarily mean they
are better or the best. For example, some of the bands that did not even come close
to making the list have never even won a Grammy let alone been nominated for
one. Although many people have their own opinion as to what a good band entails,
based upon the criteria that is created and evaluated, any band can justifiably be
the best rock band. Based upon evaluating rock bands on their number of awards
and sales, Linkin Park is arguably the best rock band of the 2000s. There is no
denying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Not everyone is going to
easily agree that Linkin Park is the best rock band. On the other hand, based upon the
criteria created, arguments can be made as to why they under some circumstances
that they are. Some of the other
47. India s Priority After Independence
The right to good health is of paramount importance not just in India but also in
every corner of the world. It is sad that India, the world s most populous democracy,
can t guarantee that to our citizens especially to the ones who fall below poverty
line. On one hand, our country is fast becoming the hub for medical tourism where
people from other countries flock to get good quality and affordable medical
treatment. On the other most of these facilities are simply not available to the natives
who should be the first preference looking at the economy of the country (Bajpai,
2014). Healthcare was never a top priority after independence. The initial focus was
on agriculture, infrastructure and military. This led to social sectors like healthand
education being neglected. In its recent assessment of the Indian economy, the
Organization for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD) identified
India s poor health outcomes as one of the country s major developmental
challenges. India is a laggard in health outcomes not just by OECD standards, but
also by the standards of the developing world. In 2012, India witnessed 253 deaths
per 100,000 persons due to communicable diseases alone, much higher than the
global average of 178. India faces a higher disease burden than other emerging
economies such as China, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico and Sri Lanka. Even poorer
neighbors such as Nepal and Bangladesh have a better record in health compared to
India (Gawande, 2012).

48. Sports Coaches Influence On Youth Sports
Physical activity is a large part of being healthy, especially at a young age.
Participating in sports is a very popular form of obtaining this exercise, as nearly
thirty six million kids play organized sports each year (Source 6). Coaches are
extremely influential in the development of minors. They are the role models for the
children to learn and grow from. Most coaches are parents, almost eighty five
percent (Source 6). However, this can have positive and negative effects on the
participants that would differ from the effects of having a trained, unbiased coach.
Many problems are evident when it comes to coaching staffs for youth sports; many
parents take on the task of coaching without knowing they are unqualified, partial,
and may damage their child psychologically. The qualifications for youth sports
coaches are often no further than a Safe Sporttest involving abuse. However, there is
very seldom a test that analyzes the knowledge that the coach has about the sport or
the basic first aid that is related to sport specific... Show more content on

When behavioral criticism is required, a child who is the coach s son is likely to
react very different from any other child. Many would consider their parent s
criticism even less than their teammate would because they are more comfortable
being defiant to a parent rather than a different power figure. This can result in
interruptions at practice and games where a parent coach forgets that they cannot
just reprimand their child as though they were only playing the role of a parent,
whereas if there was a coach that was equally involved with each player, there would
be no negative or positive actions towards one athlete in particular. One specific
reason that would make having an indifferent coach beneficial would be that other
team members would know that the coach is there for the team, not just their child

Managers and the Process of Change
The desperate call to arms, Change or Die which can be heard echoing down the
corridors of businesses everywhere is evidence that leaders have recognised the need
to change. Managers know that companies must be fast, flexible, responsive, resilient,
and creative to survive. Most also know that current mind sets, techniques, and tools
are ineffective for creating such an organisation. These people are displaying the
talents required to successfully negotiate change. They are aware of the limitations
around or within themselves and are willing to learn the necessary skills required to
succeed as change managers.

With these points in mind we then consider organisations and their nature.
Organisations their nature and culture.
Organisations are living social organisms, each with its own culture, character, nature,
and identity. Every organisation has its own history of success, which reinforces and
strengthens the organisation s way of doing things. The older and more successful
the organisation, the stronger its culture, its nature, its identity becomes.
They are communities of people with a mission (Putman, 1990 in Buchanan and
Huczinsky, 1991), not machines. The basic nature of a living social organism is
naturally more fundamental, deeper in the hierarchy, and therefore much more
powerful than business work processes, financial systems, business strategy, vision,
supply chains, information technology, lean manufacturing, marketing plans, team
behaviour, corporate governance.
All of these phenomena are important. But they are less fundamentally important than
the basic nature of organisations as living social organisms. This critically important
reality must be where any intervention starts. When this occurs, the intervention has a
chance of working. To enable this managers must be able to combine their
knowledge of the above systems with response ability. If we look at Figure 1, it
demonstrates
