www.newinsight.co.nz Understanding God’s Love and our Minds!
We filter everything we hear through our previous experiences. (Our philosophy can shape our theology.) God has a ‘me’ shaped hole in Him that only I can fill! Children are good observers but often poor interpreters. The conclusions we come to about life in our young years serve as a foundation for our life! (How do we find out our child hood conclusions?) Our beliefs shape our life. If there is pain or discontent in our lives it is because of a mis-belief. www.newinsight.co.nz
What we think What we don’t realise we think Heart = Subconscious
If you believe that you can get to Auckland city in 15min... www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that nothing happens at church until 10 min past the start… www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that your acceptability and worth is dependant on your physical appearance… www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that assertiveness is dangerous or equates to fighting or rejection… www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that you are a failure and can never succeed… www.newinsight.co.nz
www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that women and men think the same way and prioritise the same things, your expectations will render you unable to live with the opposite sex in peace and harmony. www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that the best response to yelling is to yell right back then your arguments will always escalate and your relationships will break down as your close ones can no longer trust you. www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that you don’t need to spend time pondering the fact that God is deeply ‘in love’ with you, you’ll never actually feel the divine love which your head tells you is there. www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that others’ put downs of you are probably true then you’ll take to personally their negative remarks and carry enough offences to sabotage all of your relationships. www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that all of your thinking and beliefs are ok then you’ll never stop to question that secret negative self talk which continually depresses, intimidates or winds you up as the result of deeply entrenched childhood thinking patterns. www.newinsight.co.nz
If you believe that life should be fair…… www.newinsight.co.nz
What helped me… God loves me just the way I am, I can’t earn any more brownie points, Jesus won them all! I won’t feel his love until I meditate on how he loves me. God is just hanging out to hang out with me! I exist because God wanted me to, not by the will of man. I express something of God’s nature that nobody else can express – just by existing ! Before I can feel loved I need to let go the belief that I’m an accident or unwanted or a burden. The feelings will come after I dwell on the truth that He wants my friendship. www.newinsight.co.nz
