When people think you are dying, they listen more intently to understand your perspective rather than just waiting to speak. It is important to stay curious about others' experiences and needs since everyone thinks and feels differently. Healthy boundaries involve taking responsibility only for what is within our control, which is our own feelings, thoughts, and actions, not those of others.
