Globalisation And Globalization In Spain
Spain is beautiful country with precious people, beautiful background but you would be surprise that
Spain has globalization. How is Spain affected by globalization? It is unemployment.
Unemployment is the reason why Spain is going through globalization.
The rate of Spaniard with jobs have become low during the previous years. According to DW
English, in a Spaniard town it has an equivalent of 80% unemployed. But it only in one town and
the difficulties it is to get a job and they have been unemployed more than one year. This statement
shows us how much in Spain have unemployed people. It also shows the difficulties it is to get a job
which can show us that Spain doesn't really help their people to find a job. But it not only one town
that has unemployment, in the 2017 Index of Economic Freedom, the whole Spain country has
approximately 21.9%. Being that one town has 80% but the whole country isn't getting any benefits
either ways. More than 21.9% of the country has to go to pawn shops to sell their goods and at least
get a decent amount of money. Most of them are going store to store finding jobs that aren't in their
work field.
Some people will be surprise to see that innocent children are affected by globalization. If we refer
to France 24, it says that the kids are affected by globalization at their schools because they have no
money to do activities, field trips and 'etc.' As we can see a child life purpose is to have fun but they
can't have fun with no money coming into the house and they can't go on field trips and birthday
parties at school. It is unfair for child to face this problem at young age because he can get bully at
school just because he is poor. But it not only at school they get affected most of these children don't
have any health insurance. In the article "How has the economic crisis affected low–income families
in Spain?" it says that their have been budget cuts have happen in education, health and social care
for families and children. As we can see most low–income children aren't only affected in school but
affected their health are also affected with no money coming in the insurance company can take
away their health care and social care. When globalization hits the low–income

Causes Of Unemployment Essay
Unemployment is one the major economic problems which are affecting most of the countries in the
world especially the developing countries. Unemployment is a phenomenon where a person is
actively searching for employment, but they are unable to find it. There are two immediate factors
causing unemployment, which include voluntary and involuntary unemployment. Voluntary
unemployment majorly arises as a result of an individual leaving the current job to search for
another work. This unemployment may result when an individual is no longer satisfied with the
working conditions, salary or the current position isn't matching the skills. Involuntary
unemployment majorly arises when an individual is laid off and is searching for another job. Many

This issue results in the graduating students being stranded to find a job since, even if there are
companies and business opportunities being created, it will be difficult to match the massive demand
for jobs. Government policies can also contribute to unemployment. Privatization of the companies
is one of the major factors that can lead to joblessness in a country. When the country decides to
privatize a company, it majorly leads to the retrenchment of the workers unto which results in
involuntary unemployment. The Government may come to this decision to as a result of poor
performance of the company and privatization majorly improves the company's performance.
Policies such as the ones that aims at preventing foreign investments also leads to joblessness since,
it inhibits establishment of companies and businesses that would create employment for the citizens.
Structural change is also another primary causative agent of joblessness in a country. This
unemployment occurs as a result of changes in the labor patterns, natural disasters and the changes
in the resource availability. One of the significant cases is when the available resources or raw
materials get depleted. This results in the individual who was employed losing their jobs leaving
them unable to fit into other roles. Natural disasters also results in joblessness since, in the event of
such occurrences it leads to businesses being destroyed and this will likely lead to many people

Dynamic Duo V. Dynamic Partners Case
Primarily, I would recommend that Dynamic Duo seek legal advice and contact an attorney to
advise them of the situation at hand. All the more, I would highly recommend that Dynamic Duo
consult with an attorney who regularly practices OSHA law regarding their rights and defenses
when an OSHA citation has been received. Therefore, by implementing a lawyer that regularly
practices OSHA law would help counsel and contest or challenge proposed citations and penalties.
Furthermore, experienced OSHA lawyers understand the detailed regulations and OSHA's practices
and can often negotiate lower penalties and much better abatement terms for the employer. I would
also immediately record any and all injuries up to this point that many employees have received. I
would then immediately take care of any violations listed by OSHA. ... Show more content on

imperative to inform Dynamic Duo that during the informal conference, it is very important that the
employer displays support for the company and carefully listen to all the allegations presented.
Therefore, OSHAArea Directors may decide to provide the photos and facts they claim support the
citation during this meeting. It is advisable to make detailed notes of all the evidence OSHA
presents. Additionally, it is vital the employer remember that despite the informal setting, he or she
is voluntarily attending a legally binding interview with government inspectors. This is not the time

Employment is an activity or the like that occupies a person 's time. Unemployment on the other
hand can be simply defined as when a person in search of "employment" or "job" is unable to find
employment or work. It is also said to be when an individual of working age seeking a job is unable
to obtain any. Unemployment is a criteria used to diagnose the health of a country's economy health.
It is a big challenge the country Nigeria has battled with for years now and has maintained a rising
trend over the years. The standard of living of Nigerians deteriorate more every passing day, week,
month, and year due to the rapidly increasing rate of unemployment in Nigeria. There are various
causes of unemployment in Nigeria such as; Low standard of education, corruption, lack of steady
power supply, high rate of tribalism, total neglect of the agricultural sector, lack of skills, poor
morals, poor planning by the government, poor mechanisation, fraud, war and the list goes endless.
All these points affect the countries employment rate in many ways than we know it. The case of
low standard of education can be considered the key factor responsible for unemployment in the
sense that, the educational system of Nigeria is a mess and at a state of chaos and disaster due to
factors like; malpractice and insufficient funding etc. Seeing that the world is developing into a
global community, many jobs today require some what level of education ranging from first school

Unemployment Vs Poverty
Unemployment and poverty are concepts, both of which are difficult to define. Three important
questions are presented; why are both concepts complicated to define? Why is it important to
defined these concepts well? And which definition provides the most validity for each concept?
Furthermore, one reason that defining unemployment is difficult is because, there a number of
different concepts involved that make defining it challenging. One of which, includes; how are
unemployed and employed people identified. An unemployed person could either be someone who
wants to work but is not, or someone who cannot find work. The reason why defining unemployment
can be tricky, is because there are many levels to it. For instance, the U3, the officially
unemployment rate, are the people, who are jobless, and have been currently searching for a job,
over a short amount of time. On the other hand, the U6 method comprises of people who have part–
time jobs, and are not currently looking for a full–time. This group of people have simply given up
on looking for work. Moreover, by looking at unemployment as a consequence, it affects somewhat
of the poverty rate, which is also a complicated concept to define. Similar with unemployment,
poverty has many ways of defining itself. The first by, measuring income of different households
that differ in the family size and structure. The second, is a method called supplemental poverty
measure, includes elements in governmental programs to aid families

Cause And Effect Of Unemployment
Unemployment is a major issue that our government often has to deal with. It can bring serious
downfall towards our society and the economy. Unemployment is described as a situation when an
individual is willing to work and actively seeking for a job but remains un–hired. There are four
main types of unemployment – structural, frictional, cyclical and seasonal. In this presentation, I
will discuss the causes and effects of unemployment. I hope you will get a clear idea on how
unemployment can affect society in years to come.
Structural unemployment occurs when an individual does not have the required skills, or has skills
that are not needed, to gain employment within an industry. This type of unemployment is usually
impacted by consumer demand. A common cause of this form of unemployment is the advancement
of technology. An example is seen in supermarkets where self–service checkouts replace store
clerks.
Cyclical unemployment is another form of unemployment that results when there is a decline in
growth and production within the business cycle. When consumer demand declines, employers will
lay off employees that are not needed. Only fewer employees are required to meet the lower
standard of production volume. For example, an auto maker company loses consumer demand.
Employers will lay off some of their auto workers because only a fewer number of employees would
be able to manufacture a lower production of cars.
Frictional unemployment is the time period of an individual

The Jobless recovery was a huge problem, some states came back quicker than others, but why the

Before learning more about the Great Recession and other depression that had taken place in our

We have people losing money, homes, and jobs. Losing jobs was one of the biggest problem during
the recession and after the recession. After the great recession was over, a lot of states didn't recover
fast enough from the jobless recovery and Connecticut was one of them that didn't recover fast
enough. According to Matt Santacroce and Orlando Rodriguez (2011) "the recession did not
officially take hold in Connecticut until March of 2008, and ended in January 2010. (P. 1). So even
though the U.S recession had started in 2007 and ended in 2009, it took a couple more months for
Connecticut recession to begin and to end. The Connecticut recession had lasted about 22 months
and that is a very long time to be in a recession. According to Stan McMillen By historical
standards, Connecticut's recessions have lasted an average 20 months. (P.3). Every time Connecticut
had been in a recession it took them about 20 months to get out of the recession. It seem like
Connecticut is always going to be slow when it comes down to recover from a recession. Many
people ask why Connecticut recover so slow after the recession? The reason why is because of the
unemployment and how many people lost their jobs. The labor market is the biggest issues in
Connecticut that help Connecticut to a very slow recovery. It's been 6 years since Connecticut had

Unemployment Rate In Michigan
Do your parents ever ask you to get a job? Do you wish you could have a way to earn money? This
is a common problem for many teenagers. Still, there could be a solution to this widespread
complication. Most business owners just don't trust teens to be responsible. If we could build up
support for work worthy teens, this problem is certainly solvable. For teenagers it is difficult to get a
job because most businesses won't hire them. Comparing the unemployment rate in Michigan for
teens and adults, adult unemployment is 5.2% while for teens it is a staggering 26.5% with data

Employment Insecurity And The United States
Employment Insecurity
Employment insecurity is a phrase that many working class citizens are getting use to hearing.
Employment is shaky at best and security is almost non–existent. As most of us know employment
in the US has been at an all time low and unemployment has been at an ultimate high. Many
American 's are struggling to find a job, and if they are lucky enough to find a job, it is difficult to
find one that will have similar wages or benefits to what they had been accustomed to earning. This
problem goes far beyond the United States and has become a worldwide epidemic. With–in this
paper, discussions will be provided on reasons that lead to employment insecurity and how the
effects are felt globally and right here in the United States. Also, some ways that may help fix this
issue There are many reasons for job or employment insecurity, personnel issues, nature of work one
may be doing, and if the organization one is working for has no control. All of these and much more
can lead to health issues for anyone that is dealing with employment insecurity. Dramatic changes in
the U.S. labor market have weakened bonds between employers and employees and fueled
perceptions of job insecurity (Britt, 2009). Stress can affect every part of your body and lead to
illnesses, so employment insecurity is a very important issue in the United States and worldwide,
there's also the problem of job quality. Another issue that adds to insecurity is people with university

Low Self Esteem
In the United States, individuals with mental illness have an unemployment rate of 60–80%
compared to the overall unemployment rate of 8–10% (Chang, 2015). However, this high
unemployment rate does not reflect an unwilling labor force, as many individuals with mental
illness state a desire for employment (Henry & Lucca, 2004). Individuals with mental illness face
stigma from multiple sources surrounding employment such as care givers, employers, and
coworkers. Mental illness care givers are often contributors to stigma surrounding mental illness,
and can cause low self–esteem in those they care for. This low self–esteem exacerbates the struggles
individuals with mental illness experience in the work place, and contributes to their unemployment
(Henry & Lucca, 2004). Individuals with mental illness encounter discrimination during the hiring
process and in the types of jobs they are offered (Tsang, Angell & Corrigan, 2007; Henry & Lucca,
2004). Finally, individuals with mental illness often suffer from unsupportive work environments,
which can contribute to longer recovery times since meaningful employment is an important aspect
of mental illness treatment (Chang, 2015; Gold, Macias & Rodican, 2016). Mental illness stigma
from care givers, employers, and coworkers must be eliminated because it contributes to
unemployment. Care givers for individuals with mental illness include psychiatrists, mental health
institutions, and loved ones. While care givers try and keep their

Persuasive Essay On Unemployment
Being unemployed feels scary and frustrating. Knowing what to do during this time can mean the
difference between finding a new job or not. While many of the unemployed spend their days
pounding the pavement, others have taken refuge in the halls of academia. It turns out that this
actually proves to be a very good idea. According to Forbes, hiring managers see taking classes as a
positive move toward getting a job. If you've decided to attend a community college or a university
while you're looking for a job, here are some things to consider.
1. Determine What Will Serve You
Taking the right classes while you're unemployed can mean the difference between getting a job or
not. As the Forbes article points out, taking a class or even pursuing a certificate program actually
shows hiring bosses that you do take your career seriously. This, in turn, shows them that you're
invested. Invested employees make quality employees.
2. Network, Network, Network
Going to college serves another function: It allows you to network. This can be especially helpful if
you've chosen to pursue a college program that is geared toward professional work. For example,
Eagle Rock College in L.A. offers both degree and professional programs. Say that you want to get
a diploma in English as a Second Language. You might worry about the job prospects after you
graduate from your program.
However, it's likely that this and other programs have job counselors that can help you set up
interviews and do

The Food Recovery Network At Wagner College 's Campus
In a world in which millions of people do not have enough food available to them in order to lead a
healthy life, it is saddening to think of how much food goes to waste everywhere. The Food
Recovery Network works to reduce the impact of that issue; it is a national network in which
students recover food. The Food Recovery Network here at Wagner College's campus is run through
Wagner Cares and we recover food twice a week from the Main Dining Hall. People volunteer and
work with those of us in the Food Recovery Network and together we work to both be less wasteful
and help those in need of food.
Those of us in the Food Recovery Network include Kirsty, Marisa, Alexandria, Marisa, Mary, and I.
The upperclassmen in general have more of an organizational role whereas the underclassmen have
the more hands–on tasks to complete. When all of the members of the school's Food Recovery
Network are in a room, I would say that Kirsty is the clear leader. As a leader, Kirsty is very
organized, is able to clearly instruct us on what we need to do, and she is able to plan out our tasks
and meetings. Marisa and Allie both have a similar role in which they do outreach and are active in
giving suggestions and ideas on ongoing projects as well as asking questions to figure out the
logistics of projects. As for the underclassmen–Marisa, Mary, and I–we focus more on the recovery
aspect of the program. In that environment, I would say that we all have our own leadership roles

Unemployment In The United States
Unemployment is a serious and overwhelming problem in the United States that has existed since
the economy of this nation began. The clear definition of unemployment is the condition of being
out of work or actively looking for a job. Currently, many people around this great country are out
of work, where the unemployment increased. Unemployment can be caused naturally or
unintentionally by various factors, such as inadequacy of skills needed for the job or getting laid off.
In turn, the causes of unemployment will obviously result in a variety of effects which can be
psychological and economical that can be positive or negative for society and the economy. From
this, the effects that occur when unemployment transpires can result in advantages ... Show more

These reasons can occur naturally or unintentionally depending on the factors from the possible
outcomes. One of the largest reasons why unemployment is caused by the inadequacy of portraying
needed skills for and occupation. When a person has a job, he should know that in order for the job
to be sustained, he must possess required abilities and talents to provide efficient success for the
company. If the head of a business or a company sees an occupant who is not showcasing his or her
skills, he will subsequently be fired. Another reason that unemployment results from is, the
replacement of humans by technology. Sometimes, some businesses and companies believe that
technology features such as robots and computers can complete more work in less given time than
on hands employees. As a result, businesses will look at replacing employees with technological
equipment, because they might believe the success of the business or company would increase if
human workers were swapped for machines. According to Kimberly Amadeo, unemployment can
occur from the loss of consumer demand, "Large scale unemployment is caused when consumer
demand slows enough that businesses lose too much profit. If they don't expect sales to pick up
anytime soon, they then must lay off workers" (Amadeo). The last known reason that leads to
unemployment is, many people who become unsatisfied with the current job

Disadvantages Of Rapid Technology Change
Rapid technology change has been destroying jobs faster than creating them. Technology is reducing
the demand for many type of human worker, and this would span mass of unemployment. (How
Technology is destroying jobs, 2017.) Technology change Is so rapid that many jobs would become
absolute. The United States is one of the country with the most advance technology. Innovation of
technology brings some benefit to the economy but also some disadvantage like unemployment,
thus factory is looking for opportunity to replace employee with robots this could make the job safe,
easy, and more productive, but it would reduce worker demand. Therefore, Innovation of technology
is affecting negatively the employment rate. In the United States fewer people work in factory today,
they have machines that work automatedly and do the job of the workers. Retails company like
Amazon have machines that carries the product from one warehouse to another and delivered to
worker to pack the product. With this process the work is faster because the machine can take large
amount of product. This machine can storage product and organize them, picking up object and
moving them to the right place thus this work is done with the help of a worker that manage the
machine. These machines are created to enhance worker productivity. For example, the work that
couple of employee could do with their hands, now it can be done by a machine with the help of one
worker. Computer innovation have change the way

4 Types Of Unemployment In America
Every year, the unemployment rate is measured in the United States. The term unemployment refers
to the group of people who are actively searching for work and do not have a job. Certain groups of
individuals, however, are not factored into the measurement of unemployment on an annual basis.
People who are under the age of sixteen, are institutionalized, or are not actively looking for a job
are not added when counting unemployment. There are four major types of unemployment, and they
include frictional, structural, cyclical, and seasonal. Frictional unemployment refers to
unemployment that occurs as a result of an employee switching jobs. In many cases, frictional
unemployment happens to a Job Loser or a Job Leaver. A Job Loser is somebody ... Show more

Certain companies only sell products consistently or peak in some seasons of the year. Therefore,
they only need workers for these seasons. One example of a company that does this is marina or
kayak rental shop. They only rent out watercraft in the warm months of the year (mainly summer),
and many are closed the rest of the year. As a result, they do not need employees to work if they are
not making any money or offering a product. Individuals suffering from seasonal unemployment can
quickly fix their problem by applying for a full–time job. Sometimes, people thrive by working
multiple seasonal jobs throughout the year instead of working a full–time job. Each seasonal
workplace is likely to be in peak season. In this case, more consumer money and profit can
sometimes equal higher wages. Unemployment is a constant issue around the world on a yearly
basis. Whether it is frictional, structural, cyclical, or seasonal, it poses a threat to many Americans,
and this problem increases and decreases based on the economy and Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
of a particular country. Escaping unemployment can sometimes be very easy or very difficult, and
the chances of avoiding it increase drastically because of important connections, extraordinary
qualifications, extreme dedication, and warming

Tcherneva. Fiscal Policy during Great Recession
This article was mainly about the fiscal policy during the great recession in the United States. Fiscal
policy is when the government adjusts its spending and taxes to influence the economy. There are
two types of fiscal policy: expansionary and constractionary. It's expansionary when the
unemployment rates are low so the government reduces taxes to increase people's income and
spending which makes the GDP high. It's constractionary fiscal policy when unemployment rates
are high so the government loses money and there is low production which makes the GDP to go
down. In the article it mentions how the government examined fiscal policy actions since 2008 and
noticed the issues of the conventional approach and offered new ways of approaching public policy.

Friedrich Froebel and Marie Clay Essay example
Friedrich Froebel and Marie Clay Friedrich August Wilhelm Froebel was born in Oberweissback,
Germany in April 21, 1782 (Ransbury, 1995). He was the sixth child of a Lutheran Minister, but lost
his mother before his first birthday. As a young boy, he played and explored in the gardens
surrounding his home most of the time. His deep love of nature would later influence his
educational philosophy. He did not become educated until age eleven. When he was fifteen years
old, he was apprenticed to a Forester. He then studied at the University of Jena. He accepted a
teaching position at the Frankfurt Model School in Yverdon, Switzerland. This school was based on

God through song, dance, plays, and games. Froebel called his approach to education "self–activity"
and "self–representation" ("Friedrich Froebel", 2000; Ransbury, 1995). Therefore the teacher's role
is as a guide, not a lecturer ("Friedrich Froebel", 2000). He was also the first to introduce the

Froebel designed Kindergarten to children's needs in "physical activity, the development of sensory

pleasure of singing, the experience of living among others, and satisfaction of the soul" ("Friedrich

Unemployment Assistance Argumentative Essay
Unemployment is the state of not having or finding work. Unemployment is a big issue in today's
society with the joblessness rate being 199.4 million people or 6% of the entire world. Being so hard
to find a job, the unemployment rate begins to rise. It is projected that the unemployment rate will
add up 1 million additional people during the year of 2017. The unemployment rate in this time in
Florida is 4.7% (August 2016). In 2012, the "Unemployment Compensation" got renamed as
"Reemployment Assistance." It specifies what constitutes prima facie evidence that a person claimed
& received reemployment assistance from state through transaction history & payment; provides
scoring requirements related to initial skills reviews; provides for workforce training for certain
eligible claimants; provides reporting requirements; provides work search requirements for certain
claimants; clarifies how disqualification for benefits for fraud is imposed; reviews, readopts, &

amount of time for someone to receive unemployment benefits is 26 weeks. Though some are
eligible for 33 weeks of benefits through the Emergency Unemployment Compensation(EUC)
program. More benefits the unemployment program provides are unemployment insurance and
subsidies to aid in retraining. This is so the unemployed can have more time to look for work and
reduce short–term hardship. Though in today's society it is very hard for some people to find a

American Outsourcing
In 1989, outsourcing was formally identified as a business strategy that would increase a company's
markets and profits. The idea of outsourcing involves subcontracting manufacturing jobs such as IT
and engineering design to foreign companies. Even though the term outsourcing has been recently
introduced, the concept has been around for quite some time now. Outsourcing had promised to
create more jobs and a better life for Americans. In reality, outsourcing, despite insourcing, has hurt
far more American job holders and job seekers than they have helped. Instead of creating more jobs
for Americans, it has created more jobs for non–Americans and left many unemployed. Only a few
people have benefited from outsourcing: company executives, shareholders, and consulting firms.
Insourcing happens when a company decides to bring work that was previously purchased from an
external supplier in–house. Unlike outsourcing, insourcing helps create jobs for Americans and can
give them a better life depending on whether the operations are set up to make products for sale in
the United States or if they are just using the United States to ... Show more content on

This may be true but the key here is where the jobs would be created and in the case of outsourcing,
United States is not the answer. Instead, jobs are created overseas in places like India and China,
therefor not benefiting American workers and job seekers. In seven short years, from 2003 to 2010,
IBM managed to cut its work force in the USA and move it to India, resulting in USA having a
smaller work force than India. In this case, only India benefits from outsourcing. Few Americans
such as company executives, shareholders, and consulting firms benefit from outsourcing, which is
why they support it and believe outsourcing is what is best for the economy, when in reality it's only

equates to over 4.2 million people. In order for young individuals to achieve wellbeing their needs

A part of this is the Youth Employment Package, similar to the 2015 Youth Employment Strategy, it
aims to give youth the employability skills that employers want, opportunities for work experience
and the support to move from welfare support to employment. $840.3 million was allocated to the
Youth Employment Package and this is a $510 million increase from 2015. The increase of money
allocated to address the area of youth unemployment displays that the government recognizes the
extent of the issue and that more services will assist in addressing the issue. The Encouraging
Entrepreneurship and Self–Employment Initiative is an outcome of the Youth Employment Package.
The initiative aims to assist young people create their own job by starting a small business. One
service that is provided is the 'Exploring Being My Own Boss' workshop. The two–week workshop
gives up to 1000 young people a taste of what is involved in self–employment and entrepreneurship.
The strategies that the Australian Government have put forward to assist youth in gaining
employment are not guaranteed to solve youth unemployment however, by collaborating with and
encouraging youth they are much more likely to seek employment therefore improve youth
unemployment. These strategies should be viewed as a 'hand up' rather than a 'hand out'. By
providing youth with employment services, youth unemployment will see improvement while
offering unemployed youth subsidies will only encourage unemployment as they will be able to

Job Automation Advantages
One of the biggest controversies with the advancement of artificial intelligence is the debate on job
automation. Many people believe that artificial intelligence will advance to become better than
humans and replace humans in most jobs. The opposite belief is that AI will be used to improve the
standard of living and will be a tool to support humans, not replace them. Job automation has many
benefits such as performing more dangerous jobs and complete tasks that humans do not desire to
do. Even though job automation has benefits, there are many people who believe robots will take
over the job market and the unemployment rate will skyrocket. There are multiple supporting factors
for each side of the job automation debate, but the argument will never be settled until AI is further
advanced and utilized. The main key points of the side that support the advancement of job
automation is that AI will improve the standard of living, lower the prices of products, and
encourage people to get higher education. As job automation progresses, so does the standard of
living. The largest sector of the job industry that will be affected by job automation is the service
sector, manufacturing, and many other jobs that do not require higher education. Since robots will
replace these lower paying jobs that do not require much skill, the quality of life will increase. One
negative effect is that there are numerous people that hold these positions in the lower paying
industry that will lose

The Four Types Of Unemployment
The Four Types of Unemployment One of the scariest word for many individuals among the United
States can be unemployment. Many families across America have had to deal with the hard blow
that can come with losing a job, or not being able to find a job. Unemployment will always be
around to snatch the job from any unwilling victim. While unemployment may seem like a broad
term, there are actually four categories, or types, of unemployment. These four types are structural,
cyclical, frictional, and seasonal. One of the most self–explanatory of the four types of
unemployment, is seasonal. Seasonal unemployment is defined as, "periodic unemployment created
by seasonal variations in particular industries, especially industries such as construction that are
affected by the weather." Some of the jobs that can cause individuals to fall victim to seasonal
unemployment are life guards, umpires, landscapers, amusement park employees, farmers and
fishermen. All of these jobs have particular times during the year where their occupation thrives, but
consequently, also experience extreme down times when the weather is not as ideal. This type of
unemployment is not something that can be fixed unfortunately. It will always be present as long as
the seasons continue to change. The second type of unemployment is also one that can be easily
grasped by most people. This type of unemployment is frictional unemployment and is defined as,
"the unemployment which exists in any economy due

Essay On Unemployment In Canada
Trends in Canadian Unemployment It seems that all the young adults are going to school and can
not find a job in their field, or a job at all. Unemployment is something that occurs to a person who
is actively looking for a form of employment but yet can not find it. The unemployment rate in
Canada means that the economy isn't booming like other countries or like the previous years in
Canada. There's a difference between Canada's unemployment rate and Canada's Social Assistance.
Unemployment is people who are actively looking for work, while people on social assistance are
not looking for work due to many issues. According to Statistic Canada our unemployment rate in
Canada is 7% which is roughly 5 million canadians are unemployed.(Statistics Canada, 2016). Our
country's unemployment rate is higher than most developed countries, but we are better off than
some other countries in the world. Our numbers don't increase or decrease dramatically, with the oil
fields in Alberta you would think it would impact the numbers drastically and it affects the whole
province. Alberta's unemployment rate in 2014 was 4.7% and in 2016 it is 8.5% (Statistics Canada,
2016). The economy affects the employment rate, because if people are not spending, jobs will start
to disappear. While if the economy is booming then the unemployment rate will drop ... Show more

Bureau Of Labor Statistics: Frictional Unemployment
The unemployment rate and labor force, consistently changes monthly after the survey is completed
by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS, 2015). Factors that cause these changes could come by
multiple amount of reasons. However, for this discussion post the main point will be how the
different types of unemployment affect the rates. One of the common types of unemployment is
called Frictional Unemployment. Frictional unemployment always exists in the economy, and it is a
temporary transition made by workers and employers (Investopedia, Frictional Unemployment,

individuals with transferable skills who change jobs" (McGlasson, 2009). An example of

What Is Unemployment Essay
Introduction What Is Unemployment? Unemployment occurs when a person who is actively
searching for employment ( a job) is unable to find work. Unemployment is often used as a measure
of the health of the economy. The most frequently cited measure of unemployment is the
unemployment rate. This is the number of unemployed persons divided by the number of people in
the labor force. Unemployment is defined as when a person is not employed, does not have a job
and is actively seeking work, or the inability of Labor Force participants to find jobs.

Summary: A Modest Proposal To Reduce Unemployment
During the Great Depression, the stock market had crashed horribly and the country was in financial
crisis at the time. Many people, were out looking for jobs to help their country. Most importantly,
what got the country back on its feet was the fact that many people went from the status of being
unemployed to employed. But now it seems like America is having a minor unemployment crisis
that is not as major as the Great Depression, but one that should definitely not be overlooked.
Strangely enough, this crisis has become extremely controversial on how to properly correct the
situation. Seeing as the rates of unemployment only seems to increase, the question of forcing
citizens to work is an alternative solution. Moreover, the unemployment crisis ... Show more content

John A. Challenger, a chief executive of an international consulting firm, proposed that the solution
may implementing a program to prolong the working life of older workers. Some of these programs
include flexible hours, financial benefits, and even reduced workloads (Challenger). Certainly by
gradually moving employees into retirement, more jobs can open. Although a method of job sharing
can be detrimental to prolonging employment. Neuville Industries, employs a job sharing system
where those with five years of the job are eligible to share their job with another employee who is
also eligible (Challenger). That could really hurt and could possibly increase the rate of
unemployment in the United States. But the truth of the matter is that, most workers who are eligible
for job sharing is about the age of retirement which does not leave much time for new jobs to open.
Lastly, by the unemployment rate rapidly increasing, seeking immediate attention is required. Which
is why unemployment can also be prevented by treatment for health needs, substance abuse, or a
physical disabilities. According to Kay Brown, senior executive for the GAO, which is the U.S.
Government Accountability Office, the theory being treatment is that it can ultimately help to
stabilize a health condition to make steady work even possible, while helping employees learn how

Globalisation And Globalization In Spain

  • 1. Globalisation And Globalization In Spain Spain is beautiful country with precious people, beautiful background but you would be surprise that Spain has globalization. How is Spain affected by globalization? It is unemployment. Unemployment is the reason why Spain is going through globalization. The rate of Spaniard with jobs have become low during the previous years. According to DW English, in a Spaniard town it has an equivalent of 80% unemployed. But it only in one town and the difficulties it is to get a job and they have been unemployed more than one year. This statement shows us how much in Spain have unemployed people. It also shows the difficulties it is to get a job which can show us that Spain doesn't really help their people to find a job. But it not only one town that has unemployment, in the 2017 Index of Economic Freedom, the whole Spain country has approximately 21.9%. Being that one town has 80% but the whole country isn't getting any benefits either ways. More than 21.9% of the country has to go to pawn shops to sell their goods and at least get a decent amount of money. Most of them are going store to store finding jobs that aren't in their work field. Some people will be surprise to see that innocent children are affected by globalization. If we refer to France 24, it says that the kids are affected by globalization at their schools because they have no money to do activities, field trips and 'etc.' As we can see a child life purpose is to have fun but they can't have fun with no money coming into the house and they can't go on field trips and birthday parties at school. It is unfair for child to face this problem at young age because he can get bully at school just because he is poor. But it not only at school they get affected most of these children don't have any health insurance. In the article "How has the economic crisis affected low–income families in Spain?" it says that their have been budget cuts have happen in education, health and social care for families and children. As we can see most low–income children aren't only affected in school but affected their health are also affected with no money coming in the insurance company can take away their health care and social care. Unemployment is a phenomenon where a person is actively searching for employment, but they are unable to find it. There are two immediate factors causing unemployment, which include voluntary and involuntary unemployment. Voluntary unemployment majorly arises as a result of an individual leaving the current job to search for another work. This issue results in the graduating students being stranded to find a job since, even if there are companies and business opportunities being created, it will be difficult to match the massive demand for jobs. Government policies can also contribute to unemployment. Privatization of the companies is one of the major factors that can lead to joblessness in a country. When the country decides to privatize a company, it majorly leads to the retrenchment of the workers unto which results in involuntary unemployment. The Government may come to this decision to as a result of poor performance of the company and privatization majorly improves the company's performance. Policies such as the ones that aims at preventing foreign investments also leads to joblessness since, it inhibits establishment of companies and businesses that would create employment for the citizens. Structural change is also another primary causative agent of joblessness in a country. All the more, I would highly recommend that Dynamic Duo consult with an attorney who regularly practices OSHA law regarding their rights and defenses when an OSHA citation has been received. Therefore, by implementing a lawyer that regularly practices OSHA law would help counsel and contest or challenge proposed citations and penalties. Furthermore, experienced OSHA lawyers understand the detailed regulations and OSHA's practices and can often negotiate lower penalties and much better abatement terms for the employer. Therefore, OSHAArea Directors may decide to provide the photos and facts they claim support the citation during this meeting. It is advisable to make detailed notes of all the evidence OSHA presents. • 11. Unemployment Vs Poverty Unemployment and poverty are concepts, both of which are difficult to define. Three important questions are presented; why are both concepts complicated to define? Why is it important to defined these concepts well? And which definition provides the most validity for each concept? Furthermore, one reason that defining unemployment is difficult is because, there a number of different concepts involved that make defining it challenging. One of which, includes; how are unemployed and employed people identified. An unemployed person could either be someone who wants to work but is not, or someone who cannot find work. The reason why defining unemployment can be tricky, is because there are many levels to it. For instance, the U3, the officially unemployment rate, are the people, who are jobless, and have been currently searching for a job, over a short amount of time. On the other hand, the U6 method comprises of people who have part– time jobs, and are not currently looking for a full–time. This group of people have simply given up on looking for work. Moreover, by looking at unemployment as a consequence, it affects somewhat of the poverty rate, which is also a complicated concept to define. • 13. Cause And Effect Of Unemployment Unemployment is a major issue that our government often has to deal with. It can bring serious downfall towards our society and the economy. Unemployment is described as a situation when an individual is willing to work and actively seeking for a job but remains un–hired. There are four main types of unemployment – structural, frictional, cyclical and seasonal. In this presentation, I will discuss the causes and effects of unemployment. I hope you will get a clear idea on how unemployment can affect society in years to come. Structural unemployment occurs when an individual does not have the required skills, or has skills that are not needed, to gain employment within an industry. This type of unemployment is usually impacted by consumer demand. A common cause of this form of unemployment is the advancement of technology. An example is seen in supermarkets where self–service checkouts replace store clerks. Cyclical unemployment is another form of unemployment that results when there is a decline in growth and production within the business cycle. When consumer demand declines, employers will lay off employees that are not needed. Only fewer employees are required to meet the lower standard of production volume. For example, an auto maker company loses consumer demand. Employers will lay off some of their auto workers because only a fewer number of employees would be able to manufacture a lower production of cars. Frictional unemployment is the time period of an individual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Losing jobs was one of the biggest problem during the recession and after the recession. After the great recession was over, a lot of states didn't recover fast enough from the jobless recovery and Connecticut was one of them that didn't recover fast enough. According to Matt Santacroce and Orlando Rodriguez (2011) "the recession did not officially take hold in Connecticut until March of 2008, and ended in January 2010. (P. 1). So even though the U.S recession had started in 2007 and ended in 2009, it took a couple more months for Connecticut recession to begin and to end. The Connecticut recession had lasted about 22 months and that is a very long time to be in a recession. According to Stan McMillen By historical standards, Connecticut's recessions have lasted an average 20 months. (P.3). Every time Connecticut had been in a recession it took them about 20 months to get out of the recession. It seem like Connecticut is always going to be slow when it comes down to recover from a recession. Many people ask why Connecticut recover so slow after the recession? Still, there could be a solution to this widespread complication. Most business owners just don't trust teens to be responsible. If we could build up support for work worthy teens, this problem is certainly solvable. For teenagers it is difficult to get a job because most businesses won't hire them. Comparing the unemployment rate in Michigan for teens and adults, adult unemployment is 5.2% while for teens it is a staggering 26.5% with data from michiganradio.org. Current government programs that exist to help try to fix this growing national pandemic are, ones like the Unemployment Compensation program, which provides income support to the unemployed, through the payment of Unemployment Compensation benefits. • 23. Low Self Esteem In the United States, individuals with mental illness have an unemployment rate of 60–80% compared to the overall unemployment rate of 8–10% (Chang, 2015). However, this high unemployment rate does not reflect an unwilling labor force, as many individuals with mental illness state a desire for employment (Henry & Lucca, 2004). Individuals with mental illness face stigma from multiple sources surrounding employment such as care givers, employers, and coworkers. Mental illness care givers are often contributors to stigma surrounding mental illness, and can cause low self–esteem in those they care for. This low self–esteem exacerbates the struggles individuals with mental illness experience in the work place, and contributes to their unemployment (Henry & Lucca, 2004). Individuals with mental illness encounter discrimination during the hiring process and in the types of jobs they are offered (Tsang, Angell & Corrigan, 2007; Henry & Lucca, 2004). Finally, individuals with mental illness often suffer from unsupportive work environments, which can contribute to longer recovery times since meaningful employment is an important aspect of mental illness treatment (Chang, 2015; Gold, Macias & Rodican, 2016). Mental illness stigma from care givers, employers, and coworkers must be eliminated because it contributes to unemployment. • 27. Persuasive Essay On Unemployment Being unemployed feels scary and frustrating. Knowing what to do during this time can mean the difference between finding a new job or not. While many of the unemployed spend their days pounding the pavement, others have taken refuge in the halls of academia. It turns out that this actually proves to be a very good idea. According to Forbes, hiring managers see taking classes as a positive move toward getting a job. If you've decided to attend a community college or a university while you're looking for a job, here are some things to consider. 1. Determine What Will Serve You Taking the right classes while you're unemployed can mean the difference between getting a job or not. As the Forbes article points out, taking a class or even pursuing a certificate program actually shows hiring bosses that you do take your career seriously. This, in turn, shows them that you're invested. Invested employees make quality employees. 2. Network, Network, Network Going to college serves another function: It allows you to network. This can be especially helpful if you've chosen to pursue a college program that is geared toward professional work. For example, Eagle Rock College in L.A. offers both degree and professional programs. Say that you want to get a diploma in English as a Second Language. You might worry about the job prospects after you graduate from your program. However, it's likely that this and other programs have job counselors that can help you set up interviews and do ... As long as hiring continues at these levels, the inflation rate remains low, and real GDP steady the course a boost in consumer spending and increases in profit margins should continue for businesses through 2015. • 31. Homelessness And Unemployment In The Workplace Within our workforce society, individuals are either seen as unemployed or employed. I feel that the "LABOUR STILL ISN'T WORKING" ad has shown that the world has moved on and unemployment is no longer a threat. Individuals want an occupation that can bring them creativity and excitement. For the most part, working hard for something that has no interest causes stress for the individual and those who work hard for something they love find passion. The Food Recovery Network At Wagner College 's Campus In a world in which millions of people do not have enough food available to them in order to lead a healthy life, it is saddening to think of how much food goes to waste everywhere. The Food Recovery Network works to reduce the impact of that issue; it is a national network in which students recover food. The Food Recovery Network here at Wagner College's campus is run through Wagner Cares and we recover food twice a week from the Main Dining Hall. People volunteer and work with those of us in the Food Recovery Network and together we work to both be less wasteful and help those in need of food. Those of us in the Food Recovery Network include Kirsty, Marisa, Alexandria, Marisa, Mary, and I. The upperclassmen in general have more of an organizational role whereas the underclassmen have the more hands–on tasks to complete. When all of the members of the school's Food Recovery Network are in a room, I would say that Kirsty is the clear leader. As a leader, Kirsty is very organized, is able to clearly instruct us on what we need to do, and she is able to plan out our tasks and meetings. Marisa and Allie both have a similar role in which they do outreach and are active in giving suggestions and ideas on ongoing projects as well as asking questions to figure out the logistics of projects. Clubs aren't usually known for outstanding employee care and Studio 52 is no different. The busboys were hired mainly for their looks, not because of their customer service or interest in the business. Working at Studio 52 was like going to a party every time they went to work. Which was probably fun for a little while, but not a lasting career. The company culture regarding employees was not focused on respect or employee's interests. They promoted drug use just to make sure their employees were considered enjoyable. The clear definition of unemployment is the condition of being out of work or actively looking for a job. Currently, many people around this great country are out of work, where the unemployment increased. Unemployment can be caused naturally or unintentionally by various factors, such as inadequacy of skills needed for the job or getting laid off. These reasons can occur naturally or unintentionally depending on the factors from the possible outcomes. One of the largest reasons why unemployment is caused by the inadequacy of portraying needed skills for and occupation. When a person has a job, he should know that in order for the job to be sustained, he must possess required abilities and talents to provide efficient success for the company. If the head of a business or a company sees an occupant who is not showcasing his or her skills, he will subsequently be fired. Another reason that unemployment results from is, the replacement of humans by technology. Sometimes, some businesses and companies believe that technology features such as robots and computers can complete more work in less given time than on hands employees. As a result, businesses will look at replacing employees with technological equipment, because they might believe the success of the business or company would increase if human workers were swapped for machines. According to Kimberly Amadeo, unemployment can occur from the loss of consumer demand, "Large scale unemployment is caused when consumer demand slows enough that businesses lose too much profit. If they don't expect sales to pick up anytime soon, they then must lay off workers" (Amadeo). Technology is reducing the demand for many type of human worker, and this would span mass of unemployment. (How Technology is destroying jobs, 2017.) Technology change Is so rapid that many jobs would become absolute. The United States is one of the country with the most advance technology. Innovation of technology brings some benefit to the economy but also some disadvantage like unemployment, thus factory is looking for opportunity to replace employee with robots this could make the job safe, easy, and more productive, but it would reduce worker demand. Therefore, Innovation of technology is affecting negatively the employment rate. In the United States fewer people work in factory today, they have machines that work automatedly and do the job of the workers. Therefore, they only need workers for these seasons. One example of a company that does this is marina or kayak rental shop. As a result, they do not need employees to work if they are not making any money or offering a product. Individuals suffering from seasonal unemployment can quickly fix their problem by applying for a full–time job. Sometimes, people thrive by working multiple seasonal jobs throughout the year instead of working a full–time job. Each seasonal workplace is likely to be in peak season. In this case, more consumer money and profit can sometimes equal higher wages. Unemployment is a constant issue around the world on a yearly basis. Whether it is frictional, structural, cyclical, or seasonal, it poses a threat to many Americans, and this problem increases and decreases based on the economy and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a particular country. • 64. Job Automation Advantages One of the biggest controversies with the advancement of artificial intelligence is the debate on job automation. Many people believe that artificial intelligence will advance to become better than humans and replace humans in most jobs. The opposite belief is that AI will be used to improve the standard of living and will be a tool to support humans, not replace them. Job automation has many benefits such as performing more dangerous jobs and complete tasks that humans do not desire to do. Even though job automation has benefits, there are many people who believe robots will take over the job market and the unemployment rate will skyrocket. There are multiple supporting factors for each side of the job automation debate, but the argument will never be settled until AI is further advanced and utilized. The main key points of the side that support the advancement of job automation is that AI will improve the standard of living, lower the prices of products, and encourage people to get higher education. Many families across America have had to deal with the hard blow that can come with losing a job, or not being able to find a job. Unemployment will always be around to snatch the job from any unwilling victim. While unemployment may seem like a broad term, there are actually four categories, or types, of unemployment. These four types are structural, cyclical, frictional, and seasonal. One of the most self–explanatory of the four types of unemployment, is seasonal. Seasonal unemployment is defined as, "periodic unemployment created by seasonal variations in particular industries, especially industries such as construction that are affected by the weather." Some of the jobs that can cause individuals to fall victim to seasonal unemployment are life guards, umpires, landscapers, amusement park employees, farmers and fishermen. All of these jobs have particular times during the year where their occupation thrives, but consequently, also experience extreme down times when the weather is not as ideal. This type of unemployment is not something that can be fixed unfortunately. It will always be present as long as the seasons continue to change. The second type of unemployment is also one that can be easily grasped by most people.
