CHALLENGES

Global warming is the
warming of the earth
through carbon
dioxide (CO2) being
pumped into the
atmosphere from
tailpipes and
smokestacks. Then the
gases trap heat like the
glass in a greenhouse.
This is where the term
the “greenhouse effect”
came from.
What Is Global
Warming?
What’s Happening
• Temperatures are
increasing
• Sea levels are rising
• Sea ice is melting
• Forest fire
• Precipitation patterns
are
changing
• Oceans are acidifying
What Will Happen
•Increase Earth's average temperature
•Influence the patterns and amounts
of precipitation
•Reduce ice and snow cover, as well as
permafrost
•Raise sea level
•Increase the acidity of the oceans
•Increase the frequency, intensity, and/or
duration of extreme events
•Shift ecosystem characteristics
•Increase threats to human health
How to Stop Global Warming
•Go Solar
• Buy Energy-Efficient
Appliances
•Use Clean Fuel
• Replace Filters on Air
Conditioner and Furnace
•Reduce Fossil Fuel Use.
•Conserve Water.
Go green, plant more
tree
Conclusion
Global warming is
affecting plants,
animals, humans and
the earth. We need to
learn how to conserve
our use of fossil fuels
to minimize carbon
dioxide production.
This will slow down
the effects of global
warming.
Stop Global Warming and save our planet
