This document discusses using interpolation methods to estimate weather data for a location in Old Dale, California that is not near a weather station. It defines the seasons as wet (October-March) and dry (April-September). It uses inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation and finds it provides reliable estimates given the proximity of the closest weather station. Kriging, spline, and natural neighbors methods are also tested and comparisons of their outputs between wet and dry seasons are analyzed to estimate weather patterns at the Old Dale location.
