- Since 2001, Sightlines has provided members online access to facilities data, industry trends, and benchmarking As the depth of our analysis and web technology has advanced, so has the nature of what we call the member portal One way we harness ideas for future developments is by soliciting feedback from you, our members So at the beginning of last year, we asked many of you about what you liked about the current site and what you thought we could do better
- We collected a lot of great comments from our members You wanted a user interface that was easier to navigate – more intuitive You wanted to be able to access data more easily and with fewer clicks You wanted better integration of our key findings You wanted to be able to tell when data or other pieces of your site have changed

- In 2013, Sightlines launched the next generation of our facilities analysis service, ROPA+. Strongly based in our industry-leading Discovery process, ROPA+ utilizes the concepts of Prediction and Performance to further enhance the data available to each member. ROPA+ empowers you to make informed plans for the years ahead. Leverage powerful predictive analytics to anticipate facilities’ lifecycles, generate granular lifecycle benchmarks, and accurately track performance. In addition, ROPA+ members get even more out of the Member Portal:
- The Return on Physical Assets (ROPA+) is a three phased process designed to align parties at your institution, influence policy, and affect change. Phase 1: Discovery - Assembles and validates base data, establishes historical trends, benchmarks to peer institutions and details relationships among operations, capital, and service. Phase 2: Prediction – Provides a forward looking view of facilities by predicting capital needs, understanding pending risks, and creating future operating targets. Phase 3: Performance – Allows users to track performance against best in class institutions, highlight progress, and adjust strategies if necessary.
- Perhaps most importantly, ROPA+ members have more control Don’t see the benchmark you want? Create their own benchmarks and charts from any field in Sightlines’ database. Then share it with your colleagues or Sightlines team to see if other members might find is useful.
