Germaine Greer is a major Australian feminist writer, academic and journalist. She authored the influential feminist work The Female Eunuch in 1970, which became an international bestseller. Born in Melbourne in 1939, Greer attended university in Australia and later became a professor in the UK and US, earning a PhD from the University of Cambridge. She has appeared as a commentator on television programs throughout her career.

Cambridge.
She
was
the
founding
editor
of
the
academic
journal
Tulsa
Studies
in
Women’s
Literature.
She
has
appeared
as
a
commentator
on
television
programs
including
William
F.
Buckley’s
Firing
Line
as
well
as
programming
on
the
RTE,
the
BBC,
and
ABC
television.
