iobi was a service provided by Verizon that allowed customers to manage telephone services over the internet or telephone network. It enabled users to make phone calls from their computer, check voicemail, and block specific phone numbers like telemarketers. Like other voice over internet protocol (VOIP) services, iobi integrated landline, mobile, and internet communication on PCs, laptops and PDAs. While no longer offered under the iobi name, Verizon now provides a similar service called Call Assistant.
