Tutankhamun was an Egyptian pharaoh who ruled from 1332 to 1323 BC. He was born in 1341 BC in Tell el-Amarna and lived in Cairo. The tomb of Tutankhamun was discovered in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, Egypt by Howard Carter. It contained hundreds of well-preserved artifacts and treasures that provided insight into ancient Egyptian culture and funerary practices.
