ď‚› General Aung San
said money was
scarce.

Newspaper said
that there are more
money than ever
before.
ď‚› A wise ecomomist

taken out of
circulation.
Doubt
Do they form their observations by seeing the
attendances at many cinemas and theatres
of Rangoon?
Do they judge this question of money
circulation by paying a stray visit to local
bazaar?
Do they know cinema and theatre are not
true indicators, at least in Burma, of the
people’s economic condition?
Doubt
Do they know that there are many in this
country who cannot think of going to these
places by having to struggle for their bare
existence from day to day?
Do they know that those who now-a-day
patronize or frequent cinemas and theatres
which exist?
Message from Idea of General
ď‚› There must be a gap between the theory and
the reality.
ď‚› We have to consider not only the theory and
but also the reality.
ď‚› We have to consider the gap because those
data are not always reliable.
ď‚› We have to aware that where the data are
basing on.
Poem
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
