On Israel's recent Independence day, we launched the trivia game "Atzmaut le'Israel,” together with the Israel Democracy Institute and the news portal, Walla.
The game was featured on IDI's and on Walla's Facebook pages for four consecutive days. The game was planned by the IDI Facebook page promotion, with the intent of reaching a young audience.
The results of the campaign were astonishing. In 4 days, 3300 players played the game a total of 12,000 times.
Via a fun game with no reward except for the prestige of reaching the "hall of fame," the IDI succeeded in creating a buzz and reaching 11,000 followers within several months.

(2) The research found that while a majority of students felt games could make learning easier, some students saw games and education as conflicting due to gender differences and prior gaming experience.
(3) The study challenges the assumption that all students will embrace serious games and highlights needs and perceptions that should be addressed when introducing serious games.
Primary research
The survey asked 5 questions about preferences in 2D games. For question 1, most respondents were between ages 10-20 with one person over 30. Question 2 found that the majority play 2D games with one person saying no. Gameplay was favored most in question 3 over other factors like artwork. Question 4 revealed a preference for 2D adventure games followed by fighting and RPGs. Question 5 identified bad graphics and depth perception as common criticisms of 2D games.
