This document summarizes a presentation about GameAnalytics' use of Apache Druid for analytics of user behavior data from video games. It discusses their data collection, annotation, and aggregation workflows. GameAnalytics ingests raw event data from SDKs and partners into S3, then an annotation system enriches the data before ingestion into Druid. They designed Druid schemas around dimensions, metrics and hyperloglog sketches to optimize queries for unique users and retention. Real-time and batch ingestion utilize Kinesis and EMR. Caching and tiering help optimize performance and costs. Future plans include A/B testing and funnel analysis using Druid.
