1. Galfar bags contract for
the Khazzan Onshore Gas
Project in Oman

2. Galfar bags another crucial project in
Oman, which when completed will be
one of the world's biggest onshore gas
fields.

3. British petroleum (BP) has awarded this
project to Galfar Engineering & Contracting
SAOG for $110-million, as a part of their
second construction contract for the
project. BP has marked a deal of 30 years
with the Sultanate of Oman for the
Khazzan Gas Project.

4. The construction project consists of Duplex
Stainless Steel (DSS) pipelines including
main headers, sub-headers, flow lines and
above-ground installations which will take
approximately 40 months for completion.

5. This construction will supply gas to Oman on a
noteworthy scale. The full field advancement
of the asset was endorsed in late 2013 and will
include penetrating around 300 wells over a
period of 15 years. The venture will create
around one billion cubic feet of gas every day,
equal to an increment of around 33% of
Oman's aggregate daily local gas supply.
