The study investigates the effect of V notch shape on the fatigue life of steel beams made of medium carbon steel AISI 1037, employing both experimental and numerical methods including Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Fatigue tests were conducted under fully reversed cyclic loads, revealing a relationship between notch geometry and fatigue life, with results showing acceptable accuracy between experimental and numerical outcomes. The research highlights the significant role of notches in stress concentration and subsequent fatigue failure in engineering components.
