FUTURE TENSE

TENSE
Tense is the form a verb takes to show the time it happened.
There are three main tenses:
1. Present tense : things that are true when the words are
spoken or written.
2. Past tense : things that were true before the words were
spoken or written.
3. Future tense : things that will be true after the words are
spoken or written.
ASPECTS
There are four aspects :
1.Indefinite or simple
2.Continuous or progressive
3.Perfect or complete
4. Perfect continuous

HELPING VERBS
Will: It is use for making instant decisions.
Shall: In these day use of shall is very rarer (especially in US),
so it is better to use will every time.
SIMPLE FUTURE STRUCTURES
Positive SentenceStructure
Subject + will/Shall +1st form of verb+ Object.
Example:
1. He will check my website tomorrow.
2. You will teach me this lesson.
Negative SentenceStructure
Subject+ will/shall+ not + 1st form of Verb
+Object
Example:
1. I shall not attend his class tomorrow.
2. They will not go with us.
Interrogative Sentence Structure
Will/Shall + Subject + 1st form of Verb +Object?
Example:
1. Will you complete the task?
2. Will he go to the market?
Interro-Negative Sentence Structure
will/shall+subject+not+1st form of verb+object+?
Example:
1. will you not come today?
2. will they not arrive there?
FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE
Positive Sentence Structure
Subject + will + be +1ST Verb+ ing+ Object.
Example:
1. I will be doing his complete project.
2. He will be improving his performance.
Negative Sentence Structure
Subject+ will + not + be + 1st Verb+ ing +Object
Example:
1. He will not be playing basketball.
2. They will not be telling lie to me.
Interrogative Sentence Structure
Will + Subject + be+ 1st Verb + ing +Object ?
Example:
1. Will he be waiting for us in the hall?
2. Will you be making lunch for me?
Interro-Negative Sentence Structure
will + subject + not + be+ 1st verb + ing +object ?
Example:
1. will you not be doing anything for this project?
2. will i not be joining your group?
FUTURE PERFECT TENSE
Positive Sentence Structure
Subject + will/shall+ have + 3rd form of verb + Object.
Example:
1. I will have finished my task by Sunday.
2. She will have finished the assignment tomorrow.
Negative Sentence Structure
Subject+ will/shall + not +have + 3rd form of verb +Object
Example:
1. I will not have seen her before summer vacation
2. The match will not have started by this time tomorrow
Interrogative Sentence Structure
Will/shall + Subject + have + 3rd form of verb +Object?
Example:
1. Will she have made design before she gives her presentation?
2. Will I have bought a new computer by this time next week?
Interro-Negative Sentence Structure
Shall/will + sub + not + have + 3rd form of verb+ obj?
Example:
1. Will my father not have cooked dinner?
2. Will she not have finished the assignment tomorrow?
FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
Positive Sentence Structure
Subject +will/shall + have been + 1st Verb+ing+ Object+since/for.
Example:
1. He will have been waiting for his mother.
2. I will have been playing for three hours
Negative Sentence Structure
Subject + will/shall + not + have been + 1stVerb+ing+
Object+since/for.
Example:
1. he will not have been feeling bored when they leave him.
2. he will not have been attending his class for sure.
Interrogative Sentence Structure
Will + Subject + have been + 1st Verb+ ing+ Object+since/for?
Example:
1. Will you have been solving all the questions?
2. Will he have been reading that book for 3 hours?
Interro-Negative Sentence Structure
Shall/will + sub + not + have been +1st form of verb+ing +
obj+since/for?
Example:
1. Will you not have been solving all the questions?

  • 2. TENSE Tense is the form a verb takes to show the time it happened. There are three main tenses: 1. Present tense : things that are true when the words are spoken or written. 2. Past tense : things that were true before the words were spoken or written. 3. Future tense : things that will be true after the words are spoken or written.
  • 3. ASPECTS There are four aspects : 1.Indefinite or simple 2.Continuous or progressive 3.Perfect or complete 4. Perfect continuous

  • 5. HELPING VERBS Will: It is use for making instant decisions. Shall: In these day use of shall is very rarer (especially in US), so it is better to use will every time.
  • 6. SIMPLE FUTURE STRUCTURES Positive SentenceStructure Subject + will/Shall +1st form of verb+ Object. Example: 1. He will check my website tomorrow. 2. You will teach me this lesson. Negative SentenceStructure Subject+ will/shall+ not + 1st form of Verb +Object Example: 1. I shall not attend his class tomorrow. 2. They will not go with us.
  • 7. Interrogative Sentence Structure Will/Shall + Subject + 1st form of Verb +Object? Example: 1. Will you complete the task? 2. Will he go to the market? Interro-Negative Sentence Structure will/shall+subject+not+1st form of verb+object+? Example: 1. will you not come today? 2. will they not arrive there?
  • 8. FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE Positive Sentence Structure Subject + will + be +1ST Verb+ ing+ Object. Example: 1. I will be doing his complete project. 2. He will be improving his performance. Negative Sentence Structure Subject+ will + not + be + 1st Verb+ ing +Object Example: 1. He will not be playing basketball. 2. They will not be telling lie to me.
  • 9. Interrogative Sentence Structure Will + Subject + be+ 1st Verb + ing +Object ? Example: 1. Will he be waiting for us in the hall? 2. Will you be making lunch for me? Interro-Negative Sentence Structure will + subject + not + be+ 1st verb + ing +object ? Example: 1. will you not be doing anything for this project? 2. will i not be joining your group?
  • 10. FUTURE PERFECT TENSE Positive Sentence Structure Subject + will/shall+ have + 3rd form of verb + Object. Example: 1. I will have finished my task by Sunday. 2. She will have finished the assignment tomorrow. Negative Sentence Structure Subject+ will/shall + not +have + 3rd form of verb +Object Example: 1. I will not have seen her before summer vacation 2. The match will not have started by this time tomorrow

  • 12. FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE Positive Sentence Structure Subject +will/shall + have been + 1st Verb+ing+ Object+since/for. Example: 1. He will have been waiting for his mother. 2. I will have been playing for three hours Negative Sentence Structure Subject + will/shall + not + have been + 1stVerb+ing+ Object+since/for. Example: 1. he will not have been feeling bored when they leave him. 2. he will not have been attending his class for sure.
