Definition
The Future tense is used for
action that will take place in
the future time. But no
definite time is given. This
tense does not indicate
whether the action will
complete or incomplete.

Example
It will rain today.
I shall go to Muree in this
summer.

USAGES

• Usage
 To refer a future action:
Example:
I will go to school tomorrow.
He will take part in the race.

Other ways to tell future meaning
Present Continuous
(with definite plans in the near future)
Example
I am having a birthday party tomorrow.
She is travelling to Lahore next week.

Other ways to tell future meaning
Simple Present
( with timetable or calendar)
Example
The trains leaves at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
The shop opens at 7a.m. next week.

Assertive Sentences
Future indefinite tense is made by using will or shall with
present participle.
Shall is used for “I” and “We” , remaining pronouns have ‘
will’.
Example.
Najam will present the
gifts.
Students will attend English
classes.

Negative Sentences
“Will not” is used for he, she, it, you, they and any noun.
“Shall not” is used for I and We.
Examples.
She will not wear coat.
I shall not sing a song in front of audience.

Interrogative Sentences
“Will” is used for he, she, it, you, they and any noun
before the sentence.
“Shall” is used for I and We before the sentence.
Example.
Will he attend the party?
Will he discharge from hospital?
