This document summarizes a Fulbright to Classroom program where two teachers, Dave Harms and Gloria Wu, participated in a workshop in Poland, Hungary, and Greece focused on the history of the Holocaust. They then integrated what they learned into their world history and government courses. As part of the unit, students learned about the 10 stages of genocide and applied them to case studies. Students also engaged in projects, discussions, and assessments to explore similarities and differences between the Holocaust and other genocides as well as the relationship between civil rights, liberties, and civic participation.
