Frogs have smooth skin that always looks wet, they lose moisture easily so are usually found near water, and have long legs and webbed feet that allow them to jump. Toads have rough, dry skin with warts, their skin is more waterproof so they can live farther from water, and they have shorter legs so they hop rather than jump and have broader features with a dumpy appearance.
