Friction is an unbalanced force that slows objects down and is present in almost all real-life situations. There are different types of friction including static friction, sliding friction, rolling friction, and air resistance. Static friction prevents an object from moving when a force is applied, sliding friction slows down objects that are sliding against each other, and rolling friction allows wheels to turn forward while pushing back.
