The Forest Park Water Treatment Plant treats water from the North Branch Neshaminy Creek to supply 85% of the water delivered to customers. The water undergoes various treatment processes including pre-treatment with pre-ozone, coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation. It then passes through membrane filtration to remove particulates before undergoing ozone disinfection and granular activated carbon treatment to remove organic compounds. The finished water is stored and pumped into the distribution system to deliver high quality drinking water to customers.
