A polymer coating developed by Michael Rubner absorbs water droplets into nanopores, transforming them into a transparent sheet to improve vision. The coating is applied by dipping glass first into a solution of negatively charged particles then into a positively charged polymer solution. This coating could be used on car windows, mirrors, eyeglasses, ski goggles, underwater masks, and inside car headlights to prevent fogging.
