Chloe Ross proposes to create a horror movie trailer titled "Whispers" for her film project. She will film scenes depicting a person becoming possessed by a haunted house and being manipulated to do bad things. Her roommate calls a psychiatrist to experiment on the possessed person. Chloe will research horror movie trailers and clips to analyze filming and editing techniques. She will also survey and interview a target audience to understand their preferences for horror trailers and posters. Chloe will storyboard, film, edit, add audio/music and create a poster to promote an unsettling trailer with jump scares that reflects the research and audience feedback. She will evaluate her work throughout and after completion to improve future projects.

I will mostly be working in film for my project.
Rationale:
For my first project of the year I made a music video, this helped me learn how to use a camera
and use it to film different shots as well as learning all the different aspects of a camera and how to
use it right. I also used premiere to edit my music video together and that helped me learn all the
different techniques I could use with it, I also did my audio project which I learnt how to record
audio and edit it so you can change the pitch of the voice and how it sounds. Learning all of this
really made me want to create my own thing using the skills I have learnt from these projects as I
love filming and editing and now I know what to do I want to make something better than my
projects I have done this year.
Project Concept:
For my project I want to make a horror movie trailer, for the plot I’m thinking of doing it about a
haunted house and the house is possessing this person and whispering to them and making them
do bad things, they live with their roommate who thinks that the person possessed is going insane
and so she calls a psychiatrist who does experiments on them. For my research I need to look at
some horror movie trailers to see the similar styles of tones they use for it and see how they edit it
all together, so it makes it scary. I think by looking at the trailers I can see the similarities and
differences between them and so I can apply that to my project as well as looking at different audio
they use as well. I can also look at some horror movie clips to see the camera style they use to
shoot it I can also look at some of my influences for this project and see their style of movie and
how they film so I can also apply that to my work as well. I want my trailer to be dark and unsettling
with jump scares involved I also need to make a poster for my trailer so I’ll look at different horror
movie posters as well and try and make it so it fits the tone of my trailer.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
Throughout my work I plan on evaluating as I go, taking screenshots and analysing what I’m doing
while making my project. This will help me with my future projects as when I look back I can see
what I’ve done throughout production, as well as that I’ll also evaluate my work after I’ve finished
my project as this will help me self-assess myself and if I did something wrong or it didn’t work out
quite as well as I had hoped then for future projects I can see where it went wrong or where it went
well and apply that to my future work.

Week Tasks to be Completed: Specific Tasks
1 Initial Ideas and Proposal  Plan out what I would like to make and find
images that represent my ideas that could help
me in production.
 For proposal talk about what I want to make as
well as the target audience it’s aimed at.
2 Research  Research trailers, movies and posters that are
similar to my product and analyse and get ideas
of what I could apply to my project.
3 Research  Research my target audience to see who I’m
aiming it at and what they look for in a horror
trailer and poster.
4 Pre-production & Planning  Start planning story boards, and scripts for my
FMP as well as shot lists, and the audio I’m
putting with it.
5 Production  Start filming some scenes and gather the cast
together on location.
6 Production  If I don’t finish filming continue to shoot more or
do some re-shoots
