The student created a website, social media page, and presentation video to present their project. The website provided detailed information about the project and hosted all of the student's work. The social media page was used to promote the project, but had limitations. The presentation video explained the production process and influences. Overall, the website was the strongest presentation method as it was informative and hosted all elements in one place, while the social media page was the weakest due to limitations. However, the different methods were all linked together to provide a cohesive presentation strategy.

How to present my project
Social media:
- Twitter
- Instagram
- Facebook
I can use the social media platforms to present my
work. I can also use this to show the progress of my
work by uploading behind the scene videos, progress
on my posters and covers and I could create small
teaser videos to put on as well. I feel like Instagram
might be the best platform for this because I can
present it better with the profile I create and I can
advertise it more as well.
Website:
I can upload my work onto my website, this will allow me
to embed links to my trailer so people will be able to view
my work. When I upload my trailer it will watch better on
my website than social media because quality will be
better if it’s straight from you tube as well as the screen
size. I can also upload my posters and DVD cover on my
website as well, so it will allow me to present everything
on there. When I make a presentation video as well, my
website will be a good place to show case this. I think my
website will be the main place I present everything on as I
can upload all my work to it.
Presentation video:
Another good way to present my work to the public and
to show the process of how it was created is through a
video. This can include videos of behind the scenes
footage for my trailer and I can explain the process of my
production with a voice over. I can also include the screen
shots I have gathered from making my poster and DVD
cover and explain why I have chosen the style I have. I
think this will be the strongest way to present my work as I
can explain the process of making it and I can put it on my
website along with my trailer, posters and DVD cover
ready to present it.
YouTube:
YouTube will be the platform that I will be uploading my
trailer to so I might be a good way to present my work as
well. On YouTube now it’s a bit like Social Media and it
will allow you to create a slideshow with different images.
I think this might work as a way to present all my work
because I have my trailer on there already and I can
upload my posters and DVD covers on there as well. My
account is also public so anyone can access it and watch
my projects. I can also upload my presentation video to it
as well.

3. FINAL IDEA FOR PRESENTATION
To present my work I have decided to use 3 different ways of doing it. The ideas I have to present it are all different and will
work well together as one presentation I think. The ideas I have decided to go with are:
- Social Media Instagram:
I will be creating an Instagram account that will promote my trailer but I will do as if it’s a film that’s coming out. I can
upload behind the scenes images on set of the trailer, as well as showing my DVD cover and poster. I will also be creating
short promos for my trailer that I can also upload on Instagram which will match the time length you that you can upload a
normal video on Instagram. For my trailer I will be posting as an IGTV which is a way to upload your video that is more than
a minute long. I feel like Instagram is the best social media platform to promote something on because you can upload
different content and you can set it up as an advertisement as well.
- Website:
To present all my work all my work I think creating a website on Wix will be the best way to do this. I can lay all my work out
in different sections on my website so I can have one section for Posters and DVD covers and I can have another section for
my trailers and promos as well as my presentation video. Using a website to present my work I think is a more organised
way of doing it and it’s an easy way to access all my work on as well. I think social media is a good way to promote my work
and making a website is a good way to present it, which is why I have chosen to do both.
- Presentation video
I have decided to do a presentation video as well as a website because I can put the video on my website so the two
different ways of presenting it will work as one. In my presentation video I will be doing a voice over explaining the process
of making my trailer and posters, I won’t be including the whole trailer in my video because they can watch that on the
website I am posting it on. The video will be used just to show the whole production process and behind the scenes so it
will be like a short vlog of me explaining why I have decided to make the trailer and the style I have chosen. I feel like if I put
this on my website so the audiences watches it before the actual trailer it will be better because they will see what it looked
like before I started editing it and after.
I think using these presentation plan will be the best way to present my work because I have my social media promoting it,
my website presenting it and my presentation video showing the process of it. I also plan to make my website engaging to
the audience so if I have time I will try and make a background for my website that relates to my project.

4. PRESENTATION WEBSITE
For my website I have tried to make in the style of my
film. For the background I included an image of a dark
street with street lights which is kind of similar to the
background I have used for my poster. For the title of my
website I have just named it the title of my film and I did
it in the same font that is on my trailer and posters. I tried
to make it look like an official movie website. I have split
my website up into different sections, for the home page I
tried to do an IMDB style information page. I included the
poster from my film in a small square and on top of it I
wrote the title of the film, age rating, genre it’s set in and
the release date. Then at the side of that I wrote a small
synopsis and credits then at the bottom I wrote a more
detailed storyline to my film. This is to let the audience
know more about the film and plot and it will be the first
thing they see when they click on my website.
On the page next to my homepage I have
included a sections just for my trailers and
promos. For this page I put the link to my
trailer on from YouTube as well as my promo.
I also included the title of the video above it
in a subtle font but I think it makes it look
smarter to look at. It’s also easy for the
audience to know what is what when I title it
as well. For my next page I made it just for
my posters and covers. Because my
background sort of blends in with the one on
my posters and covers I made a white box
and placed the cover in there. Underneath
my poster or cover I included the name of
what I was showing again so my audience
knows what they are looking at. For my final
page of my website I made it just for my
presentation video, I haven’t made my
presentation video yet but when I do I will be
putting it on a separate page of my website. I
quite like how my website has turned out, I
think it fits the aesthetic of my film and I
think the whole design and layout is easy to
navigate through for the audience. I will also
include a notice at the bottom of each page
for my social media account which will be on
Instagram and I will include the name of the
film account so the audience can know to
visit there for updates of the film. Once I
finish my presentation video my website
should be complete and hopefully it will be
easy and appealing for my audience to look
at.

5. SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE
For my social media page I created an Instagram account for my film. I called the account the last piece film so it’s
easy for audiences to find it if it’s just the name of my film. For the profile picture I cropped the detectives head so
he fits in the circle for the profile picture. I couldn’t crop my entire poster fit for the profile picture unless I wanted
it really small so I just cropped the head instead which I think works well. For the bio I put the title of the film
again, as well as using the hashtag so it when people search the hashtag they will find the account. I have also put
the release date for the film, I did this to make it look more professional and less plain for my bio. I also included
the link to my presentation website so if people want to have a better look at my work they can go to that link. For
the posts on my account I only posted my posters and covers as well as my trailer and promo. I was going to do
this thing where you zoom into different sections of the poster and crop out that square and then you post each
square separate in the right order and it slowly builds up to make the poster. I decided not to do this because I
didn’t think it would look that professional and I didn’t want to mess it up by placing the sections of the poster in
the wrong order. When it came to posting my trailer I couldn’t post it as a normal video because the duration was
too long so I had to post it as an IGTV instead. I did include a preview of my video on my page so before it takes
you onto the IGTV video it shows a 10 second preview of the trailer before it does that. With my promo it was only
30 seconds long and to post a normal video it only has to be up to 1 minute long so I could post my promo
normally. Overall, I am happy with how my social media account has turned out I think it advertises my film well
and I have included all the vital information about the film in my bio as well as a link to my website, I have also
advertised my social media account at the bottom of my website so if people just go on my website they can also
have a look at my Instagram account as well.

6. PRESENTATION VIDEO
For my presentation video I have split it up into sections, the introduction, research,
production and conclusion. I did this to give my video some structure so I’m not
just talking about everything in a really mixed order and so the visuals on the
screen follow on from each other as well. To edit my presentation video, instead of
using premiere I decided to use the same site I edited my vlog at the beginning of
my project on called clip champ. I decided to use this instead of premiere because it
allows you to screen record your computer and I found premiere doesn’t let you do
that so I thought it would be easier to just stick with this website. My presentation
video just reaches up to 5 minutes long, in my video I talk about the influences for
my project and how that has effected my project, I also talk about my research and
what I researched and how that has also impacted my project. When I’m talking
about production I explain some of the difficulties I have had during production,
the mis en scene in my trailer and the filming locations as well as the style and look
to my posters and covers. For my conclusion I explained how I felt about my project
as a whole and if I have reached my target audience. This video is kind of a mini
summary of my evaluation I have done but it shows my work and behind the scenes
of it and how I came about making my project, I tried to cover all the areas for my
presentation but I was worried it would be too long. However, I think I have
included all the important parts to my video and I think its been presented well. I do
plan to put this on both my presentation website and my media website.

7. EVALUATION
Overall strategy
Overall, for my presentation I have made a website, social media page and a presentation video. I think all three of these presentations ideas
has worked well. I think they have worked well in presenting all my work to a large range of people. I do feel like if I’m targeting a big
audience social media is the way to go with this, I feel like now a days not many people look on websites about films they mainly look on
their social media pages. However, my website I feel like it’s a better way to present my work and it doesn’t limit me to what I can include on
it. My website also contains my presentation video and I feel like combining these two presentation ideas is a good way of presenting my
work instead of putting my video on a separate platform. I have also advertised my social media page on my website and vise versa I have
linked all my presentation strategies together in someway to make sure my audience can see everything I have done and the different ways I
have presented my work.
Best Strategy
To me I feel like the best presentation strategy I have done is my website although I can include my presentation video as part of my website
because it is also part of it. I feel like my website is just presented better and it contains a lot more information about my film compared to
my social media page. I have also designed my website in the same style and tone as my film and posters so it keeps with the aesthetic of my
film and feels more immersive for the audience. Although I have also included the link to my social media site on my website so I do feel like
all these presentation strategies are kind of one big strategy because you can access and advertise them on different ones. My presentation
video I also feel like is a strong presentation strategy because I talk and show about the behind the scenes and the making of my products as
well as the influences behind it, the audience gets more of an insight about what the film is about and how I came about making it.
Weakest strategy
The weakest strategy I did I think was the social media page. Although it’s a good way to target a wide range of audience I felt like I was
very limited to the way I could present and post my work compared to my website I feel like my it’s less informative. However, because I
have linked my social media page to my website it allows the people who visit my Instagram page to also visit my website as well as my
website allowing people to visit my Instagram. Overall, I think I have made some strong ways to present my work but I feel like these three
separate ideas all come together as one big presentation strategy and I am happy with how all these different strategies has presented my
work to my audience.
