SolarMax P-Battery
The solution for more self-sufficiency
The value of foresight
Independence from rising electricity prices is becoming increasingly
important. By using a battery, solar PV plant operators come significantly
closer to achieving this goal. All owners of a SolarMax P series inverter
are “battery-ready” and can benefit from the new P-Battery upgrade kit.
Both new and existing PV installations can be easily enhanced by a
battery system. The solar energy generated during the day is stored and
used at low-irradiation times such as in the evening or at night. Coupling
with heating or hot water systems can further increase self-consumption
up to 70 - 80%. The impact on the public grid is also positive, as generation
peaks are effectively smoothed out by storing electricity in this way.
“Consistently increasing electricity
prices creates uncertainty for our
household budget. Self-consumption
from PV provides an effective alternative
for our family. For this, SolarMax offers
the ideal solution.”
Retrofitable
Regardless of whether it is a new or existing plant.
The upgrade kit is compatible with all device types
of the P series and can be installed on site by an
electrically skilled person.
Maximum self-consumption
The inverter can be configured in such a way that it
charges the battery as quickly as possible. No
backup for storing a generation peak is designed.
The household consumption is covered entirely
through PV energy.
Variable electricity tariffs
In the event of electricity tariffs varying over the
course of the day, the inverter may be configured
in such a way that it only discharges the battery
during high-tariff periods.
The integrated energy management system (EMS) enables
the optimum self-consumption for individual applications.

Limited feed-in
(peak-shaving)
The maximum output to be fed into the grid
can be defined, e.g. 60% of the inverter output.
The remaining energy is stored in the battery or
consumed directly.
