The Civil War Of America
The Civil War The American Civil War was a civil war fought from 1861 to 1865 to determine the
survival of the Union or independence for the Confederacy. Among the 34 states in 1861, seven
Southern slave states declared their secession from the United States and formed the Confederate
States of America. The Confederacy, the South, included eleven states. The states that remained loyal
to the United States and did not declare secession were known as the Union or the North. The war had
its origin in the factious issue of slavery, especially the extension of slavery into the western
territories. After four years of fighting, which left over 600,000 Union and Confederate soldiers dead
and destroyed much of the South s infrastructure, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Speaking directly to the Southern States, he reaffirmed, I have no purpose, directly or indirectly to
interfere with the institution of slavery in the United States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful
right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so. The first six to secede had the highest proportions of
slaves in their populations, a total of 48.8 percent for the six. Outgoing Democratic President James
Buchanan and the incoming Republicans rejected secession as illegal. Lincoln s inaugural address
declared his administration would not initiate civil war. Eight remaining slave states continued to
reject calls for secession. Confederate forces seized numerous federal forts within territory claimed by
the Confederacy. Efforts at compromise failed, and both sides prepared for war. The Confederates
assumed that European countries were so dependent on King Cotton that they would intervene; none
did and none recognized the new Confederate States of America. Because Europe relied on cotton so
heavily they had to find a new place to receive their cotton. They found Egyptian cotton which later
became a much more desirable fabric.
The causes of the Civil War were complex and have been controversial since the war began. James C.
Bradford wrote that the issue has been further complicated by historical revisionists, who have tried to
offer a variety of reasons for the war. Slavery was the

Kennelly Citizen Youth
II. Dominant Narratives and Findings of Kennelly s Citizen Youth The terms citizen and activist are
often used broadly. Without any historical, social or political context, the fundamental reasons that
evoke political participation are usually lost. Eventually, notions of the citizen activist become
generalized across social and political spectrums. For youth, modern discourses surrounding activism
lacks the differentiation between citizen and activist. As a result, the many underlying reasons for
political participation become almost invisible. In the book, Jacqueline Kennelly explores the
importance of what it means to be a certain kind of youth citizen in the twenty first century (p. 3).
Furthermore, she explores how youth activism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
15). Without understanding certain historical processes that shape notions of an idyllic citizen, like
those discussed in the previous paragraph, we cannot understand the current exclusions that lead to
activism. Specifically, Kennelly argues that the constraints of neoliberalism are reinforced differently
through what she calls the habitus. The habitus is a system of dispositions that create certain
conditions for youth activism (p. 75). In this chapter of the book, Kennelly interviews several
participants to understand how the habitus acts as an influencing agent. For example, by growing up in
a home that emphasizes social justice (i.e. having activist parents), an individual could be predisposed
to the importance of activism (p. 79). At the same time, certain predispositions may also encourage
activism. Along various racial, cultural and ethnic fault lines, activism may be encouraged for the sake
of equality. Among many examples, Kennelly uses the example of Sanna, a Kenyan Canadian who
feels the need to explain she is more than just Canadian based on her appearance (p. 85). In this
aspect, the both habitus examples conflict in origin, yet both create a sense of social justice. This
paragraph largely relies on Pierre Bordieu s notion that every field contains a certain

John The Baptist Is Celebrated At St. John s Eve
John the Baptist is celebrated at St. John s Eve, which is usually celebrated on the same day as
Midsummer or Litha. In this article we will be delving into the mystery of John the Baptist in both
christianity and paganism. It s speculated wildly on him being based off an old pagan god, Oannes.
Therefore we will be looking at the history of both gods and both religions. We will also be looking at
similarities and inequalities.
John the Baptist and Oannes
John the Baptist baptized people before Jesus did and even Jesus himself. He was born 6 months
before Jesus and a lot of people speculated on him being the Messiah. However, John did never put
himself higher than Jesus, he simply prepared the way. In Mattheus 11, John says, I baptize you with
water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not
worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand,
and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with
unquenchable fire. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried
to deter him, saying, I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me? Jesus replied, Let it be so
now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfull all righteousness. Then John consented. As soon as Jesus
was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit
of God descending like a

Types Of Missing Teeth And Fabrication Of Partial Or...
Types of articulators OCLS 223 Prepared by: Meghetie Ketchedjian 201500949 Fall 2015 2016
Articulators Restoration of missing teeth, and fabrication of partial or complete dentures is the main
objective of prosthodontics. However, in order to accomplish the task, the occlusion of the patient is
necessary to be able to fabricate a successful prosthesis that suits him/her best. Since keeping him/her
attached to the dental chair is not possible every time a record is needed, a device that could represent
the patient was crucial. That s how in the 19th century the concept of the articulator was given birth,
and the first articulator was fabricated. Definition: An articulator is a mechanical device that mimics
and represents the TMJ and jaw members where maxillary and mandibular casts will be attached to
reproduce mandibular position and motions. An articulator can simulate mandibular movements, but it
cannot duplicate all the possible movements. It can only be adjusted to simulate border movements,
within which our chewing occurs. Purpose behind the use of an articulator: The main function of an
articulator is to act as the patient in the absence of the patient . It will simulate the patient s
TMJ,masticatory muscles, mandibular ligaments, mandible and maxilla, and the complex
neuromuscular mechanism of mandibular movements. It will hold maxillary and mandibular casts in a
predetermined fixed relationship.

The Interpreter Of Maladies By Jhumpa Lahiri
In the Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri, the Das family has more power over Mr. Kapasi
because they are foreigners of higher standing than the native Mr. Kapasi. It is noted early in the story
that the Das family was not like the typical family, The first thing Mr. Kapasi had noticed when he
saw Mr. And Mrs. Das, standing with their children under the portico of the hotel, was that they were
very young, perhaps not even thirty, Lahiri wrote. The Das family is extremely young and seems to
not function properly. At the beginning of the story, Mr. and Mrs. Das argue about who should take
their daughter to the bathroom. Between the two parents, a mutual responsibility over the child should
have existed. This shows that the Das family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Arab could kill Daru, however Daru strategically prevents this from happening by treating the
Arab with kindness and respect. Daru s kindness is shown by his choice to treat the Arab like a man
instead of a prisoner. Daru eats his meals with the Arab, sleeps in the same room as the Arab, and
packs the Arab a snack for the remainder of his journey. Daru could have starved the Arab or made
him sleep in the shed, but he chooses to treat the Arab with kindness. Daru steps from his place of
power by being kind to the Arab out of fear of being killed by him, rather than genuine hospitality.
While walking to the jailhouse Daru points out two paths the Arab could take; one of the paths goes to
the jailhouse and the other goes to a village of nomads. Daru hands over his power to the Arab by
allowing him to choose his own destiny. Daru leaves the hill and the Arab, and occasionally looks
back to see if the Arab choose a path. Eventually, the Arab does not try to rise in power and follows
his instructions and goes to the jailhouse as

The Awakening Essay Questions

The Awakening Questions
1. One parallel between the song and the book is they both show an awakening against oppression. In
the song the line take this pink ribbon off my eyes is showing the desire to wake up . Later Edna
realizes that she can become free by swimming, A feeling of exultation overtook her, as if some power
of significant import had been given her to control the working of her body and her soul (Chopin 29).
2. The credo shaped her novel by introducing a theme of solitude. Throughout the novel Chopin
includes solitude to show the negative effects freedom can have on an individual instead of on society.

The reader thinks Edna might just be frustrated with her husband. As the novel shifts to New Orleans,
it is clear that she has changed. Edna starts to feel motivated to take action. Finally the setting comes
back to Grand Isle, and it is the climax of Edna s awakening. It is also where she drowns herself.
Nobody know for sure whether it was intentional or not since Chopin said, Even as a child she had
lived her own small life all within herself. At a very early period she had apprehended instinctively the
dual life that outward existence which conforms, the inward life which questions (Chopin 58).
7. Romanticism put a lot of influence on changing, and in the novel Edna is influenced by art to
transform herself. As the book progresses Edna learns to do what she wants even if it defied normal
social guidelines for women. Chopin makes this easy to see when she says, But when she was there
beside the sea, absolutely alone, she stood naked in the open air... (Chopin 124).
8. Freedom is found in the book through symbolism. The caged birds in the novel are a constant
reminder of Edna s own encagement to society. Edna gets brief periods of time where she feels like
she is free. Like when she learns to swim, A feeling of exultation overtook her, as if some power of
significant import had been given her to control the working of her body and her soul (Chopin 29). As
Edna is heading toward the beach so she can drown herself she sees some of her

Regional Trade Arrangements Of Africa And Their Motives Essay
2. Regional Trade Arrangements in Africa and Their Motives Regionalism has become one of the buzz
words in international trade diplomacy nowadays. There is almost no country in the world which does
not have membership in one or two regional economic integrations, and the coverage and scope of
these arrangements have grown more than ever before. Different authors have used different
approaches to define the concept of regional integration. Therefore, it is important to discuss the
definitions of economic integration according to the most prominent authors in the field of regional
integration before taking on the theoretical and empirical literatures of the concept. One of the widely
accepted definitions of economic integration is that of Balassa (1961), which is defined as the
abolition of discrimination within an area . Another very important definition of economic integration
relevant to developing countries is that of Kahnert, P. Richards, Stoutjesdijk, and Thomopoulos
(1969). According to these authors, economic integration is the process of progressive removal of
trade discriminations which occur at national borders . Furthermore, Machlup (1977) defines
economic integration as a process of merging separate economies into a larger economic region with
the objective of realizing the efficient utilization of all potential opportunities of the division of labor.
From the above definitions, it can be inferred that all the definitions spin around one central point; and

Pinterest In Sports Marketing Essay
Why should you use Pinterest for your sports marketing, and what is it? How can you use it? Simply
put Pinterest is a photo sharing website. Users post videos or photos on their own or others boards.
This is known as a collection of pins and usually has a common theme.
You should use it because it is free, one of the most popular social media websites in the world, and
sports fans love to see pictures or videos of the favorite sports team or even just of a sport they
participate in personally. You can use Pinterest in other ways to promote your products, but if your
business has ties to a professional sports team, and you post pictures or videos of that team, fans will
be more likely to remember you.

Argumentative Essay On The Great Gatsby
F. Scotch Fitzgerald In history, we tend to want to pick out someone as the best . Mozart was the best
composer, Babe Ruth the best baseball player, Marylin Monroe the best porn star/singer/actress etc.
But this will always be debated, because being the best in something is very subjective. Some will
argue Bach, or Dimaggio, or Hepburn (although to my knowledge Audrey Hepburn never did porn).
Being the best is subjective. Being influential is less so. You don t necessarily have to be considered to
be good to be considered influential, or even good at all. Such is the case of famous American writer,
F. Scott Fitzgerald, not so affectionately known as F. Scotch Fitzgerald. Regardless of what I think of

Harrison Bergeron And Anthem Comparison Essay
Rule Breakers
You were born an original. Don t die a copy (John Mason). Anthem and Harrison Bergeron are about
dystopian societies where uniqueness and individuality have been stomped out in attempt to make
everyone equal. The Protagonists in both stories are individuals who chose individuality over equality
and dared to be different. Equality 7 2521 from Anthem and Harrison Bergeron from Harrison
Bergeron are similar, but different in their own ways.
Equality 7 2521 and Harrison Bergeron live in societies where being different is sinister. Both
Harrison Bergeron and Equality are physically and intellectually superior to others in their societies.
Due to the fear both societies hold toward individuality, these two protagonists are frowned about and

First, when a company is large, as is Wal Mart, it is harder for that company to grow rapidly. Secondly,
Wal Mart has underinvested in its stores and staffed them with too few employees to keep their
shelves stocked and answer customers questions (Berr, 2015, para. 7). A third challenge is the sluggish
economy. Challenge four is how Wal Mart s competitors are not standing still by appealing to teen
shoppers and competing with the prices of groceries. The fifth challenge facing Wal Mart and

Once More To The Lake Analysis
Once More To The Lake by E.B White features stylistic and rhetorical strategies such as literary tone
and flashbacks. Through the use of White s flashbacks to his earlier childhood at the lake, the literary
tone of nostalgia and reminiscent sentiment is set. The nostalgic attitude of the work contributes to the
heartfelt tone of the piece as White transports the audience to a meaningful time in his life.
Furthermore, the use of the various flashbacks helps White relate his childhood to his child, creating a
parallel between White and his father, when he was his childs age. Through this sentimental tone, the
overall meaning of the work is created as it displays how time does not change memories, even if time
has changed the present day. Together, these stylistic choices affect the audience s reactions as the
reader is able to identify how the lake represents the authors unfading and untouchable memories of
his younger days.
White s purpose for writing this piece was to describe how memories can not be changed despite how
time changes everything around it. This can be seen when the author states that the middle road in the
dusty field was gone, leaving two roads. Despite this change, the author states that the way led past the
tennis court, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

child. With this, the audience of the piece was anyone who read Harper s Magazine and had an interest

piece was written during World War II, and highlights a better time in America s history, where there
was no war and kids could be run free without the worries of an ongoing war. It can be seen that
despite the anxiety of war, memories of the past remain tender, and remind the audience that time
passes continuously, but fond memories will unfailingly be

company. The firm s research has looked at factors such as health phase out plan, marital status, age of
employee, years at the company and job category to predict the future turnover rate and therefore

In addition, government programs of granting working visas to foreign highly skilled students, as well
as technological investments and incentives also affect labor force supply.
In short, the firm must find a balance when planning the HR. It has to look at internal factors and
projections such as future sales and costs which help them predict demand and consequently forecast
the workforce needed. But at the same time it has to look at external factors to predict labor supply
and the external factors are found in the environment around the company.
2 What legal concerns does the data analysis at invincibility raise? How should the company address
those issues?
From the information provided in the case we could notice that Invencibility System has used internal
information to predict what specific employees are leaving the company. However, the firm has not
created an incentive or reward program based on the data acquired in the research, for trying to
maintain these employees inside of the company or even motivate them to stay as a part of the
Invencibility systems group.
The fact that the firm uses internal data to predict who will or will not leave the company in the
following year but in contrast lacks a program to fulfill the self esteem as well as the psychological
concerns of its employees is a major area of legal concern.
The only way the company can fix

Personal Narrative-Back To The Tennis Courts
The car jostled as we passed over a speed bump to reach our destination, a homeless shelter. Never
having coached tennis before, ideas frantically buzzed through my head on how to engage the children
at the shelter. Immediately sent out to the tennis courts upon arrival, we were left gaping at the half
torn nets and the dead tennis balls strewn across the moldy courts. We gathered the children together
and divided them into groups, shepherding them to different courts. Okay, have any of you played
tennis before? I asked with a smile. Met with confused stares, I switched to Spanish, finally getting a
clear response of no. Aware that assigning drills was not the best idea, I fell back onto the games I
thought about during the car ride.

can be referred to as staccato. The trumpet did a call and response with the vocalist which is when she

Strategies for Resolving Conflict
Conflict is inevitable; even though some conflict can be good most of the time other times it can be
harmful to a team. By definition conflict is any situation in which incompatible goals, cognitions, or
emotions within or between individuals or groups that lead to opposition or antagonistic interactions.
Conflict can be damaging but with the right skills and the ability to resolve it, it can be beneficial to
the team (Bowes, 2008). Many people try to avoid conflict at all costs, but avoiding conflict will not
make it go away. Some people see shades of gray or different perspectives of issues more easily and
readily than others. Those who see issues as black or white and who do not see gray tones, often find
it difficult to understand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This conflict resolution strategy respects individual differences. When using this method a few simple
rules are followed. Make sure that good relationships are the first priority: Treat others with respect,
speak calmly and try to be courteous to the other members of the team. Keep people and problems
separate: By keeping the problem separate from the person and realizing that the person isn t just
being difficult the problem can be debated without causing damage to the team. Pay attention to the
interests that are being presented: Listening to the team will help with the understanding of where
each person is coming from. Listen first; talk second: To solve the problem effectively each person
needs to listen to the information being presented by each team member and understand where they
are coming from before defending their own position. Set out the Facts : Establish an objective and
make sure everyone agrees on what is set forth. Explore options together: Be open to other ideas a
person will never know what idea is going to present itself and it just may work for the team. If a team
follows these simple rules they can often keep discussions positive and constructive. This helps a team
stay on task and prevent destructive conflict that can spiral out of control and destroy a team. If
conflict does occur always remember to take a positive approach to resolving the conflict. As long as
the discussions stay courteous and are done in a non confrontational

Human Cloning Should Not Be Sanctioned Under Any Circumstances.
Albeit not everybody would concur, I optate to argue that Human Cloning is erroneous! The noetic

additionally died of a genetically age life expectancy of six years which designates that Dolly s was
only designated to live till she was six. So to bring my point forward, what would transpire if humans
were cloned? The most immensely colossal worry that many people have in today s society is that if
scientists are able to clone humans, the cloned human could have many quandaries and suffer a short
life, but even more people argue that it would have an effect on the man and women offering their
cells to be cloned.
One of the stranger reasons that I optate to bring forward is the conception of body supersessions
which in my opinion is outlandish and plenarily nonessential. In recent years there have been many
cases of scientists endeavoring to grow a body for someone who has recently been deceased, denoting
the transplantation of the encephalon from the deceased body into the cloned body. It is now thought
of only as science fiction, yet it may someday be a possibility in the distant future. While it will
always be unethical to kill another human to preserve another

Samuel Coleridge and Edgar Allan Poe Poems
Symbols can be a very powerful thing. They can completely transform texts and make them more
powerful and significant. Symbols are things in a text that represent other things or have different
meanings. There are two different poems that contain similar symbols: The Rime of the Ancient
Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe. The Rime of the Ancient
Mariner is A poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge about an old sailor who is compelled to tell strangers
about the supernatural adventures that befell him at sea after he killed an albatross, a friendly sea bird.
(Kett, Joseph F.).The old mariner killed an albatross, a seabird, and was cursed for disrespecting
nature and watched his entire crew die of starvation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another difference they have in appearance is how a raven has a more sinister looking appearance
compared to the albatross. The raven, as mentioned before is jet black, and has beady black eyes with
sharp black talons. It is a creepy bird that would appear in horror films and at funerals. The albatross
on the other hand is a more magnificent and cheerful looking bird. It is a white bird which is a more
calming color compared to black, and it is known to be a sign of good luck. Furthermore, the actions
of each bird from The Rime of an Ancient Mariner and The Raven have dissimilar roles and actions in
each poem. First off, the albatross from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a huge symbol of good
omens and when it gets killed by the Mariner, it instantly brings a curse among the crew or the ship
which is described by Kennedy Warne, Coleridge s Rime of the Ancient Mariner gave the albatross its
reputation as a good omen that should be respected. (Warne, Kennedy). However, the albatross doesn t
really have any direct actions; it just mainly causes the turmoil by being killed. The raven from Edgar
Allan Poe s The Raven is completely different because it does have its own actions unlike the
albatross. The raven continuously repeats the word nevermore to the old man after flying in the
window onto the man s statue which is shown in the following lines, Tell me what thy

Sea Dragon Research Paper
espite their small size, sea dragons are carnivorous animals and therefore have a purely meat based
diet. The sea dragon uses its pipe like snout to suck its prey into its oddly tooth less mouth. Sea
dragons hunt crustaceans, plankton, shrimp and even small fish, using their camouflage to their
advantage. Sea dragons have numerous natural predators in the south and western coastal waters of
Australia but are rarely even spotted to the elaborate camouflage of the sea dragon. Those few sea
dragons that are unlucky enough to be found, are usually spotted by large fish. As with sea horses, it is
the male sea dragon who care for the eggs once they have been laid by the female. The female lays

The sea dragon is a small, delicate fish found in the tropical coastal waters of south and west
Australia. Sea dragons look similar to and are in fact closely related to sea horses. There are two
different species of sea dragon which are the leafy sea dragon and the weedy sea dragon. Although
both sea dragon species have a similar body shape and size, they are very different in appearance. The
leafy sea dragon is the master of camouflage, and being able to hide itself so easily amongst the plants
means that the leafy sea dragon is rarely eaten, despite having numerous potential predators in the
surrounding water. The weedy sea dragon does not look so elaborate, only having a few feather fins
along its back. The weedy sea dragon has adapted to life on the sea bed as these feathery (weed like)
fins help the sea dragon to camouflage into the debris on the sea floor. The baby sea dragons are

Introduction Of An Internet Of Things
Abstract 6LowPAN was introduced by the IETF as a standard protocol to interconnect tiny and
constrained devices across IPv6 clouds. 6LowPAN supports a QoS feature based on two priority bits.
So far, little interest has been granted and this QoS feature and there are no implementations of such
feature in real networks. In this paper, we evaluate the effectiveness of these priority bits in various
scenarios. We show that under very heavy or very low network load, these bits have a limited effect on
the delay. We will also study the effect of using of 802.15.4 frame in different cases on QoS, Keys
words: Internet of Things, Sensor Networks, Flow Label, Traffic Class, 6LowPAN, CSMA/CA, GTS.
1. Introduction An Internet of Things (IoT) system connects the physical world into Internet via radio
frequency identification (RFID) tags, sensors, and mobile devices. IoT is an intelligent collaboration
of tiny sensors and devices giving new challenges to the end to end communication of things. 6lowpan
(IPv6 over Low Power Wireless Personal Area Networks) is a promising IoT IETF standard for
connecting sensors across IPv6 clouds. Some sensing applications are time sensitive and may require
bounded delay in sending the sensed data. In particular, military, mission critical and safety domains
generally require rapid and/or real time data transfer. Therefore, some QoS feature would be required
to give sensor network administrators the ability to control the overall network performance.

Whole Foods Market ( Wfm ) Essay
Whole Foods Market (WFM) is a leading natural and organic food supermarket founded in Austin,
Texas by four local business people: John Mackey and Renee Lawson Hardy, owners of Safer Way
Natural Foods, and Craig Weller and Mark Skiles, owners of Clarksville Natural Grocery. WFM
opened its first store in 1980, they staffed their first store with only 19 workers, the store was an
immediate success partly because at the time there were less than half a dozen organic stores in the
entire country. The original WFM store opened on September in 1980 after Safer Way and Clarksville
Natural Foods partnered, the 10,500 square feet location was quite larger than the standard health food
store of the 80 s. The business had its first hiccup a year after they opened their doors, their entire
inventory was lost and most of the equipment was damaged by a historic flood that devastated the city
of Austin. The owners did not have insurance but they were able to quickly get back on their feet due
to the volunteered help of neighbors and customers as well as the help of creditors, vendors, and
investors who provided breathing room for them. The store reopened just after 28 days of the flood.
The expansion of the business happened quickly in the late 80 s. New locations appeared in Houston
and Dallas, then New Orleans. In 1989, WFM expanded to the West Coast and opened a store in Palo
Alto, CA. WFM started acquiring several different natural foods chains such as Wellspring Grocery of

Theme Of Masculinity In Macbeth
In the play Macbeth written by William Shakespeare, several characters become very selfish and their
behaviors end up destroying their loyalty to their own country, friends, and family. The unity needed
between a king and his colleagues is very important to ones country for not only the present but also
far in the future. Typically if the king has a son for a child than he shall be king after the father dies,
but there are several characters that believe that they should be king or that their families should be
higher up in society. The country of Scotland needs a new king who is well rounded in the traits of
love, faith, courage and strength. A noble leader is presented but does he have the willpower to

A true man has the ideals of strength, courage, and love while in the play Shakespeare makes it very
clear that the main focuses of a man are strength, power, the force of will, and physical courage.
Intelligence and morals are not very much touched upon or associated with a true man in Macbeth. All
the character at one point or another question each others manhood or masculinity. However it seems
that Lady Macbeth is the most masculine of them all. She uses her husband several times; aware that
he will perform the actions that she wishes upon. The suspicion that manhood is bias to violence is a
strong recurring theme. Lady Macbeth even states that she wishes to be a man in order to perform her
husbands requests sent upon her. Come, you spirits / That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, /
And fill me from the crown to the toe top full / Of direst cruelty. (I,v, 30 33) She can not believe that

on how to perform this killing of Duncan but all she needs is her husband Macbeth to man up and

The Book of Jonah Essay
It is thought that Jonah, the fifth of the Minor Prophets, lived during the reign of Jeroboam II, when
the kingdom was divided. (Lockyer, 198) Although the Book of Jonah is quite short, just two and one
half pages, it is not short on themes. Because there are so many themes it is hard to classify or to
determine its primary message. (Anchor 936 and New Interpreter s 490) These themes range from
running away, praying, second chances, anger, and God s compassion and mercy, to name a few. The
following will provide a brief explanation of each theme, previously mention, as it relates to the Book
of Jonah.
The first theme, running away and its consequences can be found in Chapter 1:1 2:1. Jonah is called
by God to go to Nineveh and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Verse 5 states that each sailor cried to his god, which tells the reader that the sailors were pagans;
therefore, the later interpretation is more likely. (New Interpreter s 496) The sailors cast lots to see
whose fault it is for this situation. Using chance to find the perpetrator insinuates that it took divine
intervention to single out Jonah. (New Interpreter s 498) The sailors ask Jonah who he was and where
did he come from and Jonah s answer was I am a Hebrew. He also stated I worship the Lord, the God
of heaven who made the sea and the dry land. The sailors believe that Jonah has brought the storm to
them and asks What have you done? and What shall we do with you? (New American 1011) Feeling
the weight of his guilt of running away from God, Jonah tells the sailors to throw him overboard. They
comply unwillingly. Now the Lord still had a mission for Jonah and so he sent a large fish to swallow
him up, which is where he stayed for three days and three nights. Certainly, the safest and simplest
thing Jonah could have done would have been to go to Nineveh and preach against the city; therefore,
running away is never a better answer.
The second theme, prayer, occupies the majority of Chapter 2, specifically verses 3 10, the Psalm of
Thanksgiving . This is thought to have been a later addition to the story, due to the fact that Jonah had
not been saved yet. (Anchor 939) However,

Short Term Liquidity And Operating Cash Flows
3. Short term liquidity and operating cash flows. Please be advised good cash flow systems are
necessary for effective operation in the Motor Vehicles Dealers industry. As it is expected, companies
in this industry have expensive purchases that, when combined with low turnover, can lead to liquidity
problems. Liquidity refers to the availability of cash in the near future after taking account of
immediate financial commitments (also known as current liabilities). Cash in the near future will be
available from bank deposits, cash released by sale of stocks and cash collected from customers.
Immediate financial commitments are shown in current liabilities. The first ratio of liquidity is the
current ratio, which is a simple comparison of current assets with current liabilities. As per IbisWorld,
the industry benchmark for current ratio is 1.3 to 1 (7), which means that for every dollar committed
in liabilities, companies have 1.3 in their assets. Companies which generate cash on a daily basis, such
as car retailers, can therefore operate on a lower current ratio. For our particular sample, the trend has
been very similar in the past 5 years (see graph below). Overall, AHG has presented more solvency
and liquidity than APE. *ref 2/3 Another aspect of solvency we need to look at is if the companies
have enough short term assets (without selling inventory) to cover their current liabilities. This is
particularly important in times of crisis, where short term creditors are

Analysis Of One Love Under God By H. Norman Wright
Week One Reflection As things in this world seem to go by faster and faster each year; we seldom
take the time to remember why we fell in love with our significant other in the first place. While
reading One Love Under God , by H. Norman Wright, it made me think back to the beginning of my
relationship with my husband. Being a divorced mom of a beautiful daughter I wanted someone that
could love me the way I desired to be loved and cared for. I had never expected to get a divorce from
my first husband, but one to many times of adultery was enough in my books. We had tried and tried
to make things work, but he could not change his ways. I am committed to make this marriage work
not only for our children, but for each other. Wright says, Marriage keeping involves preserving,
caring for, and honoring marriage. This is a commitment to do whatever it takes, not just for our own
marriage, but for others, too (Wright, 2005, p. 15). I desire to be a keeper of marriage, not only mine,
but to also help others who are struggling to find that love they once had. I feel that more people
should help support others in any way they can, including relationships. Marriage is tough and having
a good support system to keep you focused, is important. I can relate to Wright when he states, One
common problem is that so many of us are concerned first with our own personal happiness and self
fulfillment in marriage and then with the happiness of our spouses (p. 21). In my own

Examination of Women s Friendships through an Analysis of Katherine Philips Friendship s Mystery:

When readers reflect on the poetry of the seventeenth century, poets such as John Donne and the
Metaphysicals, Jonson and the Cavaliers, and John Milton often come to mind. The poetry crosses
over
various boundaries of Neoplatonic, Ovidian, and Petrarchan forms, for example, often with many
references to women filling the lines. Described as helpless creatures, seventeenth century women
were
often shut out from all possibilities of power, and they were generalized into four categories: virgins,
women to be married, married, and widowed. In the state of marriage, women were forced to be the ...

argument will go on whether an oppressive economic class system is responsible for the oppressive
nature of male/female relations, or whether, in fact, patriarchythe domination of males is the original

that 11[r]e vision the act of looking back, of seeing with fresh eyes, of entering an old text from a new

When reading Philips in light of Rich s essay, the reader realizes that Philips was writing for re vision
long before the concept was coined by the critic. According to Rich, Until we can understand the
assumptions in which we are drenched we cannot know ourselves. And this drive to self knowledge,
for
women, is more than a search for identity: it is part of our refusal of the selfdestructiveness of
male dominated society (35). Apparent in Philips alterations of Donne s metaphors is this drive to

hypocritical, Philips clearly responds to the fact that there were all those poems about women, written
by men . . . . These women were almost always beautiful, but threatened with the loss of beauty, the

three different articles will be analyzed and their view on the impact of video games on children s and

a child s behavior. They conducted this research by using self report questionnaires; they started by

question: Which types of computer games do you have at home? Children were free to check any
game that was applicable to them. Different game options were included in the questionnaire, the
options differed from violent games like those that include firearms, blood and weapons, sport games,

health in many ways. Omega 3 fats are essential for the survival of the human body, but our bodies

sources of Omega 3 fatty acids are fish and seafood, like salmon, tuna, sardines, halibut, herring, algae

Omega 3s such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, olive oil, and garlic, and drinking

prone to develop heart disease.
Omega 3s may also be beneficial for:
High cholesterol
Those on a Mediterranean style diet are prone to have higher HDL, or good cholesterol levels, which
help support heart health. Inuit Eskimos, who get plenty of Omega 3s from eating fatty fish, also tend
to have increased HDL cholesterol and decreased triglycerides, or fats in the blood. Research studies
have shown that fish oil supplements reduce triglyceride levels. Finally, walnuts (that contain high
levels of alpha linolenic acid, or ALA, which is type of Omega 3 fatty acid) have been reported to
lower total cholesterol and triglycerides in people who have high cholesterol levels.
High blood pressure
Studies have shown that people with hypertension were able to lower their blood pressure by
consuming diets high in Omega 3 fatty acids or taking fish oil supplements. After analyzing the results
of 17 clinical studies using fish oil supplements, researchers determined that taking 3 or more grams
of fish oil per day may lower blood pressure in people with untreated hypertension.

She continuously blamed the media for trying to portray her husband as something he wasn t. She
finally admits what her husband says on tape is inappropriate and wasn t acceptable. During this
portion of the interview both are still in a professional manner, but I did notice how Cooper would
occasionally unfold his legs and use his hands when he started to ask another question. He did,
however, keep them above his knee, but below his collarbone, any higher he may have unintentionally
come off as agitated. This type of body language let me know he was either trying to get more
comfortable or he was adjusting himself into a different position because he was about to start a

The Theme Of Friendship In Harry Potter And Goblet Of Fire
Joanne Kathleen Rowling has captured the hearts of millions of readers around the world with Harry
Potter s series, and she comes back to the fourth book. The series is mostly about a boy, whose parents
were killed by an evil sorcerer, who was called as One whom one can not call. This provides hours of
pleasant and enjoyable reading. This book is a thriller, a comedy, and a school life story. In Harry
Potter and Goblet of Fire, the author shows the importance of friendship, combines several themes
such as power, fear, good vs. evil, youth, and tells how to survive in the witchcraft world.
The Triwizard Tournament almost ruined the friendship between three best friends: Hermione
Granger, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. First, there were many things going on in Hogwarts while the
tournament: Voldemort is back, each character has personal issues, Harry cannot focus on competition
and cannot handle the conflict between Hermione and Ron. Ron is jealous of Viktor Krum because he
went with Hermione to the ball. As I understood, Ron has feelings for Hermione but does not show it
by fighting and arguing with her, and acting silly, however, Harry notices that. Well,[Ron] spluttered,
looking thunderstruck, well that just proves completely missed the point
Harry didn t say anything. He liked being back on speaking terms with Ron too much to speak his
mind right now but he somehow thought that Hermione had got the point much better than Ron had.

Death Of A Salesman Essay
Death of a Salesman written by Arthur Miller is a play is about the Lomans, an average middle class
dysfunctional family trying to live out the American Dream in the tough economic period of 1945 to
1950s. The lead character Willy Loman is a 63 year old traveling salesman who has lost his salary and
working only on commission. Exhausted from his work, he also is disturbed by the fact that his well
liked 34 year old son Biff, hasn t lived up to his potential of being a successful businessman. Willy has
trouble remembering things and at times unable to differentiate between the present and his memories.
He often day dreams about the good times, regrets, and mistakes of his past. Willy s hope in the
American Dream is lost when he realizes he s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The play displayed the social and economic problems occurring in the United States at that time.
Arthur Miller was born into a lower middle class family. His father owned a business of
manufacturing ladies wear that suffered a loss during the Great Depression. According to Sinclair s
article on Death of a Salesman the country came out of the depression when World War II started and
after the War there was an economic boom that increased inner city business and building of
apartment housings. The economic boom brought prosperity for the United States but mostly for the
rich as inflation increased. Typical normal Americans and low paid workers like salesman, shop
workers, unskilled workers, janitors and waiters experienced the bigger hit having a hard time
affording the basic necessities. For these people the American Dream of being successful and well off
became impossible as debt and purchases on credit increased. People were having a hard time trying
to make it with what they already had. Miller used his play to criticize the social and philosophical
failures of Capitalist society. During his writing process, Miller was conflicted with how to portray the
troubles of the character to an audience and didn t quite have the complete story. His encounter with
his uncle Manny Newman, who was a salesman and refused to accept failure and lack of confidence in
his household, inspired Miller to create the character of Willy and transform the incomplete story to

John Cena s Shocking
John Cena has just announced plans to take a break from the WWE in order to pursue a TV career. He
will serve as the host for FOX s American Grit, a reality TV competition that forces 16 different
civilians to work together to complete a gauntlet of military and survival inspired challenges.
Speaking with Zap 2 It, the 15 time World Champion explained the reasons behind his shocking
decision. I ve been a cornerstone of WWE programming since 2002. That s a long time, it s more than
10 years, Said Cena in an interview. So much so that a portion of our audience has direct complacency
with me. Man, Cena holds everybody down. He doesn t give the new guys a chance. During his

Theme Of Coming Of Age In Catcher In The Rye
The main character of J.D. Salinger s novel, The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield is only in his
teens, attending High School, yet longs for his early childhood. He can be seen trying to hold onto the
past by acting various ways. The author, meanwhile, uses symbolism to demonstrate the effects of a
loss of innocence, and the effects of coming of age. J.D. Salinger s novel The Catcher in the Rye
shows, through moderately relatable eyes, the changes and realities that we must all accept, and what
we must lose as we all come of age, taking a step into the adult world. Analyzing Holden s character
as for a biography, the reader will likely conclude that he acts no better than a hyperactive child; with
little in the way of understanding the fact that all actions come with consequences. There is what he
likes which seems to be little and what he dislikes which he often proceeds to call phony. His
vocabulary is limited, vernacular simple, phrases repetitious, and he frequently moves to tangents;
Holden acts as a child would. He has held onto what he perceives children doing, saying, thinking, and
has incorporated that into himself. This is not because he has yet to lose his innocence, but because he
feels he must hold on to what he believes he still has so that he may live a happy life. This is best seen
by the reader when Holden divulges into one of his previously mentioned tangents, which often take
on a more somber or aggressive tone towards something in the

The State Of Arizona
What we see today, as the state of Arizona was once a piece of Mexico due to the fact that the
population was very little. The United States took ownership in 1848 after the Mexican American War.
Arizona separate from New Mexico in 1863, and was turned into a state of its own on February 14,
1912. Arizona still keeps on growing today as a state and has become more populated over the years. I
will be depicting and dissecting occasions that have affected Arizona turning into a state.
Pre territorial Period
During this period, the earliest settlers showed up to this land known to us as the State of Arizona in as

Analysis Of She Walks In Beauty By Lord Byron
Born in 1788, George Gordon Byron, commonly known as Lord Byron, was an English poet and one
of the most famous poets of the romantic era. Romanticism was one of the most influential poetic
movements in which brought Lord Byron into the literary forefront. Although he has many famous
literary works, She Walks in Beauty is one of his most favourable poems. The poem was inspired by a
woman wearing a mourningful dress whilst at a ball. Love is the overarching theme, focusing mainly
on captivating love. This is seen by the overwhelming sense of his attention that is captivated by her
and the fact that the woman seems unobtainable. Through his work, Lord Byron captured the reader s
attention through the way he used literary devices and the way he represented different gender
representations through the nature of love.
From the very beginning, the nature of love in She Walks in Beauty is alluded to be captivating. That
is that the woman he sees is very attractive or interesting and that she is taking up all of this thoughts
and attention. Typically in this time period, the beautiful women were blonde and pale, opposite to this
is the woman portrayed in this poem. The comparison to night and day or light and dark, two
completely opposite things, shows one really beautiful thing. In the first line the simile like the night
(Ln 1) established the initial beauty he saw. In addition, the use of the personification in tender light
(Ln 5) shows that through the woman s beauty his

  • 2. The Civil War Of America The Civil War The American Civil War was a civil war fought from 1861 to 1865 to determine the survival of the Union or independence for the Confederacy. Among the 34 states in 1861, seven Southern slave states declared their secession from the United States and formed the Confederate States of America. The Confederacy, the South, included eleven states. The states that remained loyal to the United States and did not declare secession were known as the Union or the North. The war had its origin in the factious issue of slavery, especially the extension of slavery into the western territories. After four years of fighting, which left over 600,000 Union and Confederate soldiers dead and destroyed much of the South s infrastructure, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Speaking directly to the Southern States, he reaffirmed, I have no purpose, directly or indirectly to interfere with the institution of slavery in the United States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so. The first six to secede had the highest proportions of slaves in their populations, a total of 48.8 percent for the six. Outgoing Democratic President James Buchanan and the incoming Republicans rejected secession as illegal. Lincoln s inaugural address declared his administration would not initiate civil war. Eight remaining slave states continued to reject calls for secession. Confederate forces seized numerous federal forts within territory claimed by the Confederacy. Efforts at compromise failed, and both sides prepared for war. The Confederates assumed that European countries were so dependent on King Cotton that they would intervene; none did and none recognized the new Confederate States of America. Because Europe relied on cotton so heavily they had to find a new place to receive their cotton. They found Egyptian cotton which later became a much more desirable fabric. The causes of the Civil War were complex and have been controversial since the war began. James C. Bradford wrote that the issue has been further complicated by historical revisionists, who have tried to offer a variety of reasons for the war. Slavery was the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Kennelly Citizen Youth II. Dominant Narratives and Findings of Kennelly s Citizen Youth The terms citizen and activist are often used broadly. Without any historical, social or political context, the fundamental reasons that evoke political participation are usually lost. Eventually, notions of the citizen activist become generalized across social and political spectrums. For youth, modern discourses surrounding activism lacks the differentiation between citizen and activist. As a result, the many underlying reasons for political participation become almost invisible. In the book, Jacqueline Kennelly explores the importance of what it means to be a certain kind of youth citizen in the twenty first century (p. 3). Furthermore, she explores how youth activism ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 15). Without understanding certain historical processes that shape notions of an idyllic citizen, like those discussed in the previous paragraph, we cannot understand the current exclusions that lead to activism. Specifically, Kennelly argues that the constraints of neoliberalism are reinforced differently through what she calls the habitus. The habitus is a system of dispositions that create certain conditions for youth activism (p. 75). In this chapter of the book, Kennelly interviews several participants to understand how the habitus acts as an influencing agent. For example, by growing up in a home that emphasizes social justice (i.e. having activist parents), an individual could be predisposed to the importance of activism (p. 79). At the same time, certain predispositions may also encourage activism. Along various racial, cultural and ethnic fault lines, activism may be encouraged for the sake of equality. Among many examples, Kennelly uses the example of Sanna, a Kenyan Canadian who feels the need to explain she is more than just Canadian based on her appearance (p. 85). In this aspect, the both habitus examples conflict in origin, yet both create a sense of social justice. This paragraph largely relies on Pierre Bordieu s notion that every field contains a certain ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. John The Baptist Is Celebrated At St. John s Eve John the Baptist is celebrated at St. John s Eve, which is usually celebrated on the same day as Midsummer or Litha. In this article we will be delving into the mystery of John the Baptist in both christianity and paganism. It s speculated wildly on him being based off an old pagan god, Oannes. Therefore we will be looking at the history of both gods and both religions. We will also be looking at similarities and inequalities. John the Baptist and Oannes John the Baptist baptized people before Jesus did and even Jesus himself. He was born 6 months before Jesus and a lot of people speculated on him being the Messiah. However, John did never put himself higher than Jesus, he simply prepared the way. In Mattheus 11, John says, I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me? Jesus replied, Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfull all righteousness. Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Types of articulators OCLS 223 Prepared by: Meghetie Ketchedjian 201500949 Fall 2015 2016 Articulators Restoration of missing teeth, and fabrication of partial or complete dentures is the main objective of prosthodontics. However, in order to accomplish the task, the occlusion of the patient is necessary to be able to fabricate a successful prosthesis that suits him/her best. Since keeping him/her attached to the dental chair is not possible every time a record is needed, a device that could represent the patient was crucial. That s how in the 19th century the concept of the articulator was given birth, and the first articulator was fabricated. Definition: An articulator is a mechanical device that mimics and represents the TMJ and jaw members where maxillary and mandibular casts will be attached to reproduce mandibular position and motions. An articulator can simulate mandibular movements, but it cannot duplicate all the possible movements. It can only be adjusted to simulate border movements, within which our chewing occurs. Purpose behind the use of an articulator: The main function of an articulator is to act as the patient in the absence of the patient . It will simulate the patient s TMJ,masticatory muscles, mandibular ligaments, mandible and maxilla, and the complex neuromuscular mechanism of mandibular movements. It will hold maxillary and mandibular casts in a predetermined fixed relationship. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Interpreter Of Maladies By Jhumpa Lahiri In the Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri, the Das family has more power over Mr. Kapasi because they are foreigners of higher standing than the native Mr. Kapasi. It is noted early in the story that the Das family was not like the typical family, The first thing Mr. Kapasi had noticed when he saw Mr. And Mrs. Das, standing with their children under the portico of the hotel, was that they were very young, perhaps not even thirty, Lahiri wrote. The Das family is extremely young and seems to not function properly. At the beginning of the story, Mr. and Mrs. Das argue about who should take their daughter to the bathroom. Daru could have starved the Arab or made him sleep in the shed, but he chooses to treat the Arab with kindness. As the novel shifts to New Orleans, it is clear that she has changed. Edna starts to feel motivated to take action. Finally the setting comes back to Grand Isle, and it is the climax of Edna s awakening. It is also where she drowns herself. Nobody know for sure whether it was intentional or not since Chopin said, Even as a child she had lived her own small life all within herself. At a very early period she had apprehended instinctively the dual life that outward existence which conforms, the inward life which questions (Chopin 58). 7. Romanticism put a lot of influence on changing, and in the novel Edna is influenced by art to transform herself. As the book progresses Edna learns to do what she wants even if it defied normal social guidelines for women. Chopin makes this easy to see when she says, But when she was there beside the sea, absolutely alone, she stood naked in the open air... (Chopin 124). 8. Freedom is found in the book through symbolism. The caged birds in the novel are a constant reminder of Edna s own encagement to society. • 8. Regional Trade Arrangements Of Africa And Their Motives Essay 2. Regional Trade Arrangements in Africa and Their Motives Regionalism has become one of the buzz words in international trade diplomacy nowadays. There is almost no country in the world which does not have membership in one or two regional economic integrations, and the coverage and scope of these arrangements have grown more than ever before. Different authors have used different approaches to define the concept of regional integration. Therefore, it is important to discuss the definitions of economic integration according to the most prominent authors in the field of regional integration before taking on the theoretical and empirical literatures of the concept. One of the widely accepted definitions of economic integration is that of Balassa (1961), which is defined as the abolition of discrimination within an area . Another very important definition of economic integration relevant to developing countries is that of Kahnert, P. Richards, Stoutjesdijk, and Thomopoulos (1969). According to these authors, economic integration is the process of progressive removal of trade discriminations which occur at national borders . Furthermore, Machlup (1977) defines economic integration as a process of merging separate economies into a larger economic region with the objective of realizing the efficient utilization of all potential opportunities of the division of labor. From the above definitions, it can be inferred that all the definitions spin around one central point; and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mozart was the best composer, Babe Ruth the best baseball player, Marylin Monroe the best porn star/singer/actress etc. But this will always be debated, because being the best in something is very subjective. Some will argue Bach, or Dimaggio, or Hepburn (although to my knowledge Audrey Hepburn never did porn). Being the best is subjective. Being influential is less so. • 15. Once More To The Lake Analysis Once More To The Lake by E.B White features stylistic and rhetorical strategies such as literary tone and flashbacks. Through the use of White s flashbacks to his earlier childhood at the lake, the literary tone of nostalgia and reminiscent sentiment is set. The nostalgic attitude of the work contributes to the heartfelt tone of the piece as White transports the audience to a meaningful time in his life. Furthermore, the use of the various flashbacks helps White relate his childhood to his child, creating a parallel between White and his father, when he was his childs age. Through this sentimental tone, the overall meaning of the work is created as it displays how time does not change memories, even if time has changed the present day. Together, these stylistic choices affect the audience s reactions as the reader is able to identify how the lake represents the authors unfading and untouchable memories of his younger days. White s purpose for writing this piece was to describe how memories can not be changed despite how time changes everything around it. This can be seen when the author states that the middle road in the dusty field was gone, leaving two roads. Despite this change, the author states that the way led past the tennis court, and ... Conflict can be damaging but with the right skills and the ability to resolve it, it can be beneficial to the team (Bowes, 2008). • 22. Samuel Coleridge and Edgar Allan Poe Poems Symbols can be a very powerful thing. They can completely transform texts and make them more powerful and significant. Symbols are things in a text that represent other things or have different meanings. There are two different poems that contain similar symbols: The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is A poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge about an old sailor who is compelled to tell strangers about the supernatural adventures that befell him at sea after he killed an albatross, a friendly sea bird. The raven, as mentioned before is jet black, and has beady black eyes with sharp black talons. It is a creepy bird that would appear in horror films and at funerals. The albatross on the other hand is a more magnificent and cheerful looking bird. It is a white bird which is a more calming color compared to black, and it is known to be a sign of good luck. Furthermore, the actions of each bird from The Rime of an Ancient Mariner and The Raven have dissimilar roles and actions in each poem. First off, the albatross from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a huge symbol of good omens and when it gets killed by the Mariner, it instantly brings a curse among the crew or the ship which is described by Kennedy Warne, Coleridge s Rime of the Ancient Mariner gave the albatross its reputation as a good omen that should be respected. (Warne, Kennedy). However, the albatross doesn t really have any direct actions; it just mainly causes the turmoil by being killed. The raven from Edgar Allan Poe s The Raven is completely different because it does have its own actions unlike the albatross. So far, little interest has been granted and this QoS feature and there are no implementations of such feature in real networks. In this paper, we evaluate the effectiveness of these priority bits in various scenarios. We show that under very heavy or very low network load, these bits have a limited effect on the delay. IoT is an intelligent collaboration of tiny sensors and devices giving new challenges to the end to end communication of things. 6lowpan (IPv6 over Low Power Wireless Personal Area Networks) is a promising IoT IETF standard for connecting sensors across IPv6 clouds. Some sensing applications are time sensitive and may require bounded delay in sending the sensed data. In particular, military, mission critical and safety domains generally require rapid and/or real time data transfer. Therefore, some QoS feature would be required to give sensor network administrators the ability to control the overall network performance. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

WFM opened its first store in 1980, they staffed their first store with only 19 workers, the store was an immediate success partly because at the time there were less than half a dozen organic stores in the entire country. The original WFM store opened on September in 1980 after Safer Way and Clarksville Natural Foods partnered, the 10,500 square feet location was quite larger than the standard health food store of the 80 s. The owners did not have insurance but they were able to quickly get back on their feet due to the volunteered help of neighbors and customers as well as the help of creditors, vendors, and investors who provided breathing room for them. The store reopened just after 28 days of the flood. The expansion of the business happened quickly in the late 80 s. New locations appeared in Houston and Dallas, then New Orleans. (New Interpreter s 498) The sailors ask Jonah who he was and where did he come from and Jonah s answer was I am a Hebrew. He also stated I worship the Lord, the God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land. The sailors believe that Jonah has brought the storm to them and asks What have you done? and What shall we do with you? (New American 1011) Feeling the weight of his guilt of running away from God, Jonah tells the sailors to throw him overboard. They comply unwillingly. Now the Lord still had a mission for Jonah and so he sent a large fish to swallow him up, which is where he stayed for three days and three nights. Certainly, the safest and simplest thing Jonah could have done would have been to go to Nineveh and preach against the city; therefore, running away is never a better answer. The second theme, prayer, occupies the majority of Chapter 2, specifically verses 3 10, the Psalm of Thanksgiving . Please be advised good cash flow systems are necessary for effective operation in the Motor Vehicles Dealers industry. As it is expected, companies in this industry have expensive purchases that, when combined with low turnover, can lead to liquidity problems. Liquidity refers to the availability of cash in the near future after taking account of immediate financial commitments (also known as current liabilities). Cash in the near future will be available from bank deposits, cash released by sale of stocks and cash collected from customers. Immediate financial commitments are shown in current liabilities. The first ratio of liquidity is the current ratio, which is a simple comparison of current assets with current liabilities. As per IbisWorld, the industry benchmark for current ratio is 1.3 to 1 (7), which means that for every dollar committed in liabilities, companies have 1.3 in their assets. Companies which generate cash on a daily basis, such as car retailers, can therefore operate on a lower current ratio. For our particular sample, the trend has been very similar in the past 5 years (see graph below). Overall, AHG has presented more solvency and liquidity than APE. *ref 2/3 Another aspect of solvency we need to look at is if the companies have enough short term assets (without selling inventory) to cover their current liabilities. While reading One Love Under God , by H. Norman Wright, it made me think back to the beginning of my relationship with my husband. Being a divorced mom of a beautiful daughter I wanted someone that could love me the way I desired to be loved and cared for. I had never expected to get a divorce from my first husband, but one to many times of adultery was enough in my books. We had tried and tried to make things work, but he could not change his ways. I am committed to make this marriage work not only for our children, but for each other. Wright says, Marriage keeping involves preserving, caring for, and honoring marriage. This is a commitment to do whatever it takes, not just for our own marriage, but for others, too (Wright, 2005, p. 15). I desire to be a keeper of marriage, not only mine, but to also help others who are struggling to find that love they once had. I feel that more people should help support others in any way they can, including relationships. Marriage is tough and having a good support system to keep you focused, is important. He did, however, keep them above his knee, but below his collarbone, any higher he may have unintentionally come off as agitated. This type of body language let me know he was either trying to get more comfortable or he was adjusting himself into a different position because he was about to start a different line of ... His father owned a business of manufacturing ladies wear that suffered a loss during the Great Depression. • 46. Theme Of Coming Of Age In Catcher In The Rye The main character of J.D. Salinger s novel, The Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield is only in his teens, attending High School, yet longs for his early childhood. He can be seen trying to hold onto the past by acting various ways. The author, meanwhile, uses symbolism to demonstrate the effects of a loss of innocence, and the effects of coming of age. J.D. Salinger s novel The Catcher in the Rye shows, through moderately relatable eyes, the changes and realities that we must all accept, and what we must lose as we all come of age, taking a step into the adult world. Analyzing Holden s character as for a biography, the reader will likely conclude that he acts no better than a hyperactive child; with little in the way of understanding the fact that all actions come with consequences. There is what he likes which seems to be little and what he dislikes which he often proceeds to call phony. His vocabulary is limited, vernacular simple, phrases repetitious, and he frequently moves to tangents; Holden acts as a child would. He has held onto what he perceives children doing, saying, thinking, and has incorporated that into himself. This is not because he has yet to lose his innocence, but because he feels he must hold on to what he believes he still has so that he may live a happy life. This is best seen by the reader when Holden divulges into one of his previously mentioned tangents, which often take on a more somber or aggressive tone towards something in the ... Romanticism was one of the most influential poetic movements in which brought Lord Byron into the literary forefront. Although he has many famous literary works, She Walks in Beauty is one of his most favourable poems. The poem was inspired by a woman wearing a mourningful dress whilst at a ball. Love is the overarching theme, focusing mainly on captivating love. This is seen by the overwhelming sense of his attention that is captivated by her and the fact that the woman seems unobtainable. Through his work, Lord Byron captured the reader s attention through the way he used literary devices and the way he represented different gender representations through the nature of love. From the very beginning, the nature of love in She Walks in Beauty is alluded to be captivating. That is that the woman he sees is very attractive or interesting and that she is taking up all of this thoughts and attention. Typically in this time period, the beautiful women were blonde and pale, opposite to this is the woman portrayed in this poem. The comparison to night and day or light and dark, two completely opposite things, shows one really beautiful thing. In the first line the simile like the night (Ln 1) established the initial beauty he saw. In addition, the use of the personification in tender light (Ln 5) shows that through the woman s beauty his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
