About Five Kingdom Classification

2. INTRODUCTION
In 1969 R.H. Whittaker introduced
the system of five kingdom
classification. He classified the living
world into five kingdoms. They are :
• Kingdom Monera,
• Kingdom Protista,
• Kingdom Fungi,
• Kingdom Plantae
• Kingdom Animalia

3. Kingdom Monera
It include unicellular organism with out
definit nucleus like bacteria

4. Kingdom protista
It include single celled eukaryotes
such as Amoeba, Euglena, etc.

5. Kingdom Fungi
It include heterotrophic organisms like
Yeast, Agaricus, etc.

6. Kingdom Plantae
It includes eukaryotic chlorophyll
containing organism commonly called plants.

7. Kingdom Animalia
It include heterotrophic multi cellular
organisms called animals
