This document contains the results of a survey about music magazine preferences. The survey received responses from 14 people ranging in age. The most common purchase frequency for magazines was once or twice per month. Rock and pop were the most popular genres. The survey also assessed preferred magazine cover designs, sell lines, and additional content. Key findings indicate that respondents preferred magazine covers featuring a single person, opportunities to win concert tickets or meet artists, and sell lines with elements of surprise or mystery. The conclusions provide guidance for designing an appealing rock music magazine cover targeted at teenage readers.
