where ANAND Group of companies has their manufacturing unit.

Foundation selected some areas like Livelihoods, Health, Education and
Rural development and the environment.
Under Livelihoods, Foundation mostly focused on Vocational Training to
the youth in different courses like Computer Training
(Basic/Diploma/Tally/DTP), Beauty Culture, Mehendy Art, Nail Art,
Cutting Tailoring, Dress Designing, Fashion Designing, Nusury/Primary
Teacher Training, Spoken English, Soft Toy Making, Jewallery Making,
Automobile 2-Wheeler Technician and Electrician.
There are so many Computer books are available in the market for
developing their computer knowledge. But as far as SNS Foundation is
concerned, computer knowledge can be enhanced by good practice on the
computer.
Now a days youths are looking for short term computer courses and want
jobs in computer space, youth need proper practice based on skill required
for work places. So, to cater all the needs and to create awareness about
computers and how it is changing the world in a big way, we have designed
a weekly practice set named as ―Module for basic computer classes‖
This book is divided into 24 weekly practice set of six months basic
computer course. Book covers Typing, Notepad, Wordpad, Ms-Paint, Ms-
Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Ms-Access, HTML, MS-DOS and
Internet with its applications.

Topic: - Typing Tutor
Week-I
Please write the paragraph in 10 minutes without looking at the
keyboard.
What exactly is a computer? What we see on a computer monitor are
flashing lights and full color graphics. It is easy for students to be
mystified by computers. This module introduces students to the basic
concept of a computer as a device that implements functions. It uses
simple analogies to explain how the same computer program can be
implemented in wildly different kinds of material. The second
component of the module begins with a discussion of the classical
digital computer – the only kind of computer that most of us have ever
worked with. It lays out the prominent features of digital computers
(digital, serial, local, and deterministic) and provides a flash animation
that gives a dynamic analogy to help drive home the main concepts.
The discussion then turns to non-classical computers, computers that
lack all or most of the essential features of digital computers and have
instead some or all of the following properties: analog, parallel,
distributed, non-deterministic. Some strengths and weaknesses of the
two different types of computer are briefly mentioned. [This
component does not currently include a discussion of the dynamical
systems model of mental processing. We intend [eventually!] to add a
discussion of this ―third‖ model – including a discussion of those who
argue that dynamical systems are not computers at all. If you are

Mohandas Karamchand – known as Mahatma or "Great-Souled" – Gandhi
was born in Porbandar, the capital of a small principality in what is today
the state of Gujarat in Western India, where his father was prime minister.
His mother was a profoundly religious Hindu. She and the rest of the
Gandhi family belonged to a branch of Hinduism in which non-violence
and tolerance between religious groups were considered very important.
His family background has later been seen as a very important explanation
of why Mohandas Gandhi was able to achieve the position he held in
Indian society. In the second half of the 1880s, Mohandas went to London
where he studied law. After having finished his studies, he first went back
to India to work as a barrister, and then, in 1893, to Natal in South Africa,
where he was employed by an Indian trading company.
In South Africa Gandhi worked to improve living conditions for the Indian
minority. This work, which was especially directed against increasingly
racist legislation, made him develop a strong Indian and religious
commitment, and a will to self-sacrifice. With a great deal of success he
introduced a method of non-violence in the Indian struggle for basic human
rights. The method, satyagraha – "truth force" – was highly idealistic;
without rejecting the rule of law as a principle, the Indians should break
those laws which were unreasonable or suppressed. Each individual would
have to accept punishment for having violated the law. However, he
should, calmly, yet with determination, reject the legitimacy of the law in
question. This would, hopefully, make the adversaries – first the South
African authorities, later the British in India – recognize the unlawfulness
of their legislation.

When Gandhi came back to India in 1915, news of his achievements in
South Africa had already spread to his home country. In only a few years,
during the First World War, he became a leading figure in the Indian
National Congress. Through the interwar period he initiated a series of non-
violent campaigns against the British authorities. At the same time he made
strong efforts to unite the Indian Hindus, Muslims and Christians, and
struggled for the emancipation of the 'untouchables' in Hindu society.
While many of his fellow Indian nationalists preferred the use of non-
violent methods against the British primarily for tactical reasons, Gandhi's
non-violence was a matter of principle. His firmness on that point made
people respect him regardless of their attitude towards Indian nationalism
or religion. Even the British judges who sentenced him to imprisonment
recognized Gandhi as an exceptional personality.

Lato is a sanserif typeface family designed in the Summer 2010 by
Warsaw-based designer Łukasz Dziedzic (―Lato‖ means ―Summer‖ in
Polish). In December 2010 the Lato family was published under the open-
source Open Font License by his foundry tyPoland, with support from
Google.
In the last ten or so years, during which Łukasz has been designing type,
most of his projects were rooted in a particular design task that he needed
to solve.
When working on Lato, Łukasz tried to carefully balance some potentially
conflicting priorities. He wanted to create a typeface that would seem quite
―transparent‖ when used in the body text but would display some original
traits when used in larger sizes. He used classical proportions (particularly
visible in the uppercase) to give the letterforms familiar harmony and
elegance. At the same time, he created a sleek sanserif look, which makes
evident the fact that Lawton was designed in 2010 — even though it does
not follow any current trend.
The semi-rounded details of the letters give Lato a feeling of warmth, while
the strong structure provides stability and seriousness. ―Male and female,
serious but friendly. With the feeling of the summer,‖ says Łukasz. Lato
consists of five weights (plus corresponding italics), including a beautiful
hairline style.
