very earth is a part of it. During this celebration, he says that it would be an evil day if he were
upset right now. This almost suggests that he is unhappy right now and is forcing himself to be

Scene in Fig. 1.1., the Chesapeake Bay is substantial in size; at roughly 64,000 miles, it contains
roughly fifty rivers and thousands of streams and creeks. It encompasses parts of 6 states, including
all of Washington, DC. The Chesapeake Bayis what is known as a watershed, an area that
contributes to the drainage to a water body, stream, river, lake or ocean. Rainwater that falls within
the 64,000 square miles that is the Chesapeake Bay will subsequently travel through many streams
and rivers, eventually making its way into the largest estuary system in the United States.

An estuary system is the resulting collisions of sweet and salt fresh river water flowing seaward
and ocean water inland. It is an aquatic system where salt and freshwater are constantly mixing. An
estuary system is one of most active systems of the planet; it is a hybrid system that contains the
best and worst qualities of the ocean, river, and lake systems it conglomerates. Estuaries are unique
in nature because of their ability to be the most productive ecosystem on the entire planet; humans
have attempted and failed to reach the productivity that estuaries naturally grant. There productivity
lies it the constant change that occurs from the conflicting flows of fresh and ocean water. Ocean

freedom. Although time made him lose his family and normal life, there was still the light of
hope in his tired eyes. He is Mandela, the man who was born as a prince of a tribe, Thembu, but

The film La Vita E Bella and the memoir All But My Life have many similarities in themes,
symbols, occurrences, emotions and characters. To highlight the effect of the most important
similarity that is seen between the film and the memoir on the audience would have to be the fact
that the protagonists both exemplify altruism. Although these two are both very different they
definitely have their similarities. Gerda and Guido both go out intending to fight for their freedom

In Walden, Thoreau explains that to him, slavery is not only as simple as the historically common
definition of the physical enslavement of a man or woman to another man. Slavery, in the abstract,
is both mental and physical, and society represents a seemingly unavoidable, but somewhat
overlooked form of slavery put upon us all. Thoreau hypothesizes and experiments with the
journey from enslavement of society to freedom. What characterizes enslavement? Is it mental,
physical, or both? How do people go about attaining their freedom? Can we ever achieve it
