Personal Narrative Dream of Travelling through a Cell
My brother was studying for his biology test. The next morning he was telling me about the
dream he had. He said he traveled through a cell. I started to call him insane. My brother have an
educational dream? I thought to myself, impossible. My brother started to tell me his crazy dream.
The first place he came upon was the cell wall. He was trying to find a way out. He said he started
to talk to the cell wall. He asked the cell wall the way out. The cell wall said to him How should I

3. Strategies for Resolving Team Conflict
Running head: STRATEGIES FOR RESOLVING TEAM CONFLICT
Strategies for Resolving Team Conflict
Strategies for Resolving Team Conflict
Dealing with conflict is always a challenging situation, which requires team members to be
integrated into a single, organized unit (Bolger, 2003). Conflict among teams is bound to occur no
matter how much one tries to avoid it. While resolving all conflicts is not possible, these conflicts
can be dealt with using the correct methodology. To address team conflict there are five methods:
Accommodate, Compromise, Enforce, Explore, and Postpone (Bolger, 2003).
Accommodation Bases for using the accommodation strategy occurs when working together to
accomplish goals are far more important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Choosing this strategy may be best in a situation where heightened emotions, around a given issue,
are making it impossible to have a rational conversation. Another option is to postpone a
discussion when all the information required is unknown or if the issue may resolve itself over
time. The downside to using this strategy too often occurs when the team interprets these actions as
either running away or avoiding conflict. It should also be recognized that delaying an important
conflict to long will, in many cases, evolve into a much larger issue or important decisions may be
made by default (Fisher, 1991).
Conclusion When choosing a strategy to resolve team conflict, it is essential to consider the
importance and urgency of the issue involved. Guard against the tendency of using only one or two
resolution strategies, because such a habit will cause undesirable results (Bolger, 2003). By
understanding that each strategy does have a unique purpose; it is then up to team leadership to
understand the proper application of said strategy and use them to gain optimal performance from
their teams.

5. Protect the Gray Wolves Essay
Protect the Gray Wolves Long before the settlers started to make the United States their home,
American Indians lived long beside the Gray Wolf before settlers started to come here. (Rowe,
Mark) The wolf is native to the North American continent and has been inhabiting its land for
centuries. It is a canid species, or member of the canine family and is a cunning, smart, fast, and sly
animal. Gray wolvesrange in color from black, brown, gray, and white and also look like a grown
German Shepherd. They are well known for traveling in family sizes from 7 9 wolves, led by the
alpha male and have a mate. They are a fierce animal that has been researched extensively because

These were all key factors to their near extinction. In 1974 the wolves were placed under the
Endangered Species Act (ESA), but were not protected for long. Many environmentalist agreed
with this act because environmentalist knew how crucial this keystone specie was to the
ecosystem. Without the grey wolves existence, the whole rest of the ecosystem would not function
properly. Unfortunately, around the 1960s, the gray wolfpopulation was basically extinct, which
resulted in a huge controversy. Luckily, In 1995, the first 14 wolves were introduced to the
Yellowstone National Park to increase the wolf population (Transplanted) that had been
decreasing gradually. Over the years more Canadian wolves were introduced to the Yellowstone
National park to increase the wolf population. This procedure was successful because the wolf
population throughout the Yellowstone region was on the rise. The long term goal for the
environmentalists and Yellowstone park rangers would be to have around 1,000 wolves roaming
the region. The declining wolf population has turned around and is now increasing at a steady
pace. The National Park Service says During the 1980s, wolves began to reestablish breeding
packs in Northwestern Montana; 50 60 wolves inhabited Montana in 1994. (NPS) We are very
fortunate for the quick acts of transferring the wolves from Canada down to the Yellowstone
National Park and to the intense research that has been done

7. Compare The First Meeting Of Sir Lancelot And Queen Guinevere
Synthesis Essay
Queen Guinevere has been presented in innumerable Arthurian tales, all with various accounts of
her legacy. Her portrayal in the legends changes with time going from a dreadful sinner and
unfaithful wife in Chretien de Troyes Knight of the Cart to someone with feminist ideals in Sallie
Bridges The First Meeting of Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere . The reason for such a dramatic
change in her character derives out of the increased fight for women s equality from the 12th
century to the 19th century. The oppressive nature towards women can be seen in the depiction of
Guinevere in Chretien de Troyes Knight of the Cart. This story gives Guinevere an unchristian,
unfaithful look. Taking on a sacrilegious light Guinevere disrespects her god by committing
adultery, contemplating suicide, and lusting while she prays. Her infamous affair is with the knight
Sir Lancelot, the right hand man of her husband King Arthur. In her rebellious nature, she decides to
spend one night of excitement with another man rather than filling her expected role of a faithful
wife. When Guinevere hears the news of Lancelot death, she contemplates suicide because she
couldn t bear life without her lover. Suicide in the 12th century was one of the worst crimes to
commit against the church ,therefore it was considered shameful. One of the most egregious sins
she commits is coveting Lancelot s body while she is praying, wishing, both of them naked (1987

8. Compare And Contrast The Jacobson V Massachusetts
Introduction
Hippocrates, directed his fellow physicians to help and do no harm (McCormick, 2013) which
basically brought to the bare the fact that, considerations of respect for persons and for justice have
been present in the development of societies from the earliest times.
The Jacobson v Massachusetts was in 1905 was based on a conflict between Jacobson and the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts, over the validity on whether the state could coerce Jacobson to
be vaccinated. In order to control the local small pox epidemic, the State of Massachusetts adopted
a statute which required citizens who forfeited vaccination at any point during the previous 5 years
to either be vaccinated or in default pay a fine. Jacobson, based on his own conviction and thoughts,
refused both to be vaccinated and pay the fine with a claim that a previous vaccination was
detrimental to the health of himself and his son. He sued the state on the basis that the statutes
adopted by the State infringed on his liberty as enshrined in the 14th Amendment of the
Constitution, a plea which was rejected by the the Massachusetts Supreme Court with a subsequent
appeal to the United States Supreme Court also upholding the statutes of the state.

It was equitably unjust to coerce citizens to buy insurance if it came at a cost which the user can

insurance is mandated in the PPACA. According to Lachman (2009), the ethical principle

9. Most Appropriate Measure Of Center Of Statistical Data
The most appropriate measure of center of this data set would be the median, or the arithmetic
average. The median would be more suitable because the mean is more heavily influenced by
outliers. In a skewed distribution, the mean would be pulled more towards the tail of the data
where outliers exist, and the average value would be greater than that of the median. In this case,
using the 1.5 x IQR rule, any departure time less than 19.5 or greater than 16.5 is an outlier. Hence,
with multiple outliers present in the data, the median would not be influenced as heavily as the
mean by outliers, and would give a more accurate representation of the average value of the set.

If a point value is indicated by an equal or positive sign, this shows that the flight departed on
time or late. The chosen random variable would be discrete. Although the data set is a large
sample size of 500 values, it is still possible to list out all the outcomes of the data as a fixed set
and assign probabilities to them. The values for departure delay times are also inputted as whole
positive and negative integers with no decimal values. Decimal values are characteristic of a
continuous random variable for an infinite sample space. Therefore, this another indicator that a
discrete random variable would be ideal for a finite sample space. The binomial distribution
would be suitable for the underlying distribution of X because a data point must either lie within
or outside of the interval of a delayed departure. Hypothetically, if a value lies outside the range
of 10 and 130, then this would mean that the flight will cancelled. A flight cannot depart to its
destination too early or too late, as it would be considered an unreliable flight. Therefore, any
time of departure that exceeds 10 or 130 cannot exist. The probability that a flight will depart
early or on time is 71.0%. The probability that a flight will arrive late is 36.0%. The probability
that a flight departs late or arrives early is 83.4%. Compared to each individual events probabilities
of departing early or on time or arriving late, this percentage indicates that the chances of a

Belongingness is one of those needs. People have a desire to be accepted by their peers, have
friendships, be a part of a group, and be loved (Daft, pg. 230). Coach K has the ability to
recognize those needs especially when he acknowledges players and recognizes them when the
execution of a game plan leads to a game win. This is done in the locker room in front of their
peers and on national television after a victory. As long as he continues to meet this basic need of
the players he will continue to bring victories to the Duke Basketball program. For the team, this
intrinsic reward was immediate when Duke achieved the victory over UNC at Cameron Indoor
Stadium that night.
In Coach K s book Leading with the Heart Grant Hill is allowed to write the forward and talk about
his coach from the perspective of a new college recruit, and later he speaks as a friend and
confidant. What Coach K teaches is about life and leadership. He sets the bar high so you can 1)
strive to be the best you can be; 2) appreciate the value and rewards of a hard work ethic; 3) build
close relationships based on trust; 4) set shared goals; 5) sacrifice and give of yourself; 6) win
with humility; 7) lose with dignity; 8) turn a negative into appositive; 9) be a part of something
bigger than yourself; and, 10) enjoy the journey (Krzyzewski, pg x).

11. Essay On Spanish American Independence
Spanish America s thirst for Independence dates all the way back to the 16th century, following the
French revolution s success to abolish the monarchy. South America s desire to become independent
from Spain was ignited by the French revolution and the declaration of Independence of the United
States. South American Creoles (los criollos) of the upper class led the process of Independence
of the Spanish colonies. Many historians claim the wars of Independence were a creole affair and
throughout this essay many arguments will be addressed to justify their claims, a strong case in
their favour being the leader and liberator, SimГіn BolГvar, who drove the creoles and other ethnic
origins to their quest for autonomy.
To begin, the 18th century marks the proposal of the Bourbon reforms, a series of changes which
would jeopardise the relationship between the Spanish crown and its American colonies. The term
Bourbon reforms derives from King Philip V (b. 1700 1746) and his successors plan to change the
Spanish empire for the better. In order to do so, they set out to control all aspects of trade, politics
and economy. The colonial... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite it being a creole affair, it can be argued that other ethnic origins were opposed to the
association Spanish America had with Spain, for example creoles were within a minority however
the majority were mestizos, negroes and Indians. Under the Spanish Crown, they were succumbed
to racism and poverty, so their thirst for Independence came as no shock. SГmon BolГvar is a key
figure when discussing the wars of Spanish American Independence as he too was of pure
European decent, but as many historians point out he did not only support the creoles, but likewise
the masses of Spanish Americans. Thus, Independence from Spain was awarded to many colonies
between 1810 1825, which was mainly a creole affair, to an

Background of the Study
Breast is a very vital portion of a female s body. Breast problems and diseases alike carcinoma get
distress and sorrow to women and most women should do everything in their capability to avoid its
presence (Omoyeni, Oluwafeyikemi, Irinoye, 2014).
According to American cancer society Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that starts in the cells of
the breast. A malignant tumor is a set of cancer cells that can develop into (invade) near tissues or
spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body. The disease happens almost exclusively in women
(American Cancer Society, 2015).
For early identification of breast cancer Breast Self Examination (BSE) is an important and
inexpensive method.Breast Self Examination (BSE) is the examination done by individuals to
help identify any abnormality within the breasts. It involves visually and by hand examining the
breasts. It should be done at the age of 20 years and monthly;rather a few days after an individual
s menstrual period when the breasts are slight swollen. Breast Self Examination (BSE) involves a
process whereby women inspect their breasts regularly to detect any abnormal swelling and ready
for taking medical care. For the early recognition of breast cancerBreast self examination is a useful
tool (Omoyeni, etal., 2014).

Five Major Trends
Rivalry in the craft beer industry is high and in addition to the excise tax and overall high

transactions in 2008, forming Anheuser Busch InBev. Heineken (HEINY) another major brewer,
acquired the beer business of FEMSA in 2010. As in 2013, Anheuser Busch InBev one of the
market leaders acquired Grupo Modelo, Mexican brewer. In the following year 2014, Anheuser
Busch InBev reacquire Oriental Brewery, South Korea brewer. (Sharon Bailey) The acquisitions

17. Social Practices And Education Will Be Contemplated Essay
Thousands of years after survival of the fittest human races depended upon instruments of warfare,
the pen, a tool not designed for combat, was declared mightier than the sword by Benjamin
Franklin (World of Quotes, 2003). Ironically it was one of the first human weapons, the sharpened
stone, that was a precursor to penand paper when it was used to etch drawings upon cave wall
dwellings (Bellis, 2004). Long use of these concrete implements forged abstractions of them. Pen
and paper have been interiorized into social practices and language (ex. back to the drawing board
), and have been instrumental to the externalization of our innermost thoughts and emotions. Pen
and paper will be examined together as each is the other s raison d etre. The manifold impacts pen
and paper had upon industry, social practices and education will be contemplated.
Cave wall drawings were early means of non verbal self expression, and would empower the
development of symbol systems and alphabets that spurred the onset of literacy (Ong, 1982). Pen
and paper allowed humans to delve deeper into realms of communication and self expression, or
perhaps early mimicry of pen and paper indicated an innate predisposition for humans to express
themselves through this medium. Whatever the case may be, the earliest means which
foreshadowed pen and paper involved a stylus of bone, metal or ivory used to place marks on wax
coated tablets called tabula cevata. These inexpensive tablets were in widespread

Administrators should remove default passwords and disable unnecessary default accounts and non
essential functionality before the devices are installed on the network. An inventory of system
components that are a part of the cycle for PCI DSS must be maintained.
Requirement number three is to protect stored cardholder data using encryption, truncation,
masking and hashing as part of the cardholder data protection. If a hacker manages to bypass the
security protection and get access to the encrypted data, the information is unreadable and useless
without the correct cryptographic key. Only the minimal amount of cardholder data should be
stored whenever possible. There should also be policies for data retention and disposal
procedures of cardholder data storage. Only store the minimal data needed, do not store the entire
track of contents of magnetic strips, card verification code, or PIN number. PAN numbers must be
rendered unreadable anywhere they are stored. Cryptographic keys should be stored in as few
locations as possible and under secure encrypted devices.
The fourth requirement states that the entities must encrypt transmission of cardholder data when
done across open or public networks. It is required that entities use strong cryptography and security
protocols to maintain security of cardholder data during transmission. You should never send PAN
information by email, instant messaging, chat, or other messaging technology.

19. Importance Of Self Assessment
The Importance of Self Assessment Self assessment is an important aspect of teaching, as it allows
the teacher to reflect upon the successfulness of the content of the lesson and the communication,
along with the delivery of instruction and if each student s learning was successful. Looking at
each of these individually, there are specific components that a teacher should look reflect on and
assess. When broken down, there is a better chance of determining where changes to a lesson, or to
teaching, might be needed to make it more successful for learning. The first area of teaching to
assess is the subject matter, which is one of the most important aspects to reflect on, as this has to
be developmentally appropriate much more. Reflecting on the specific subject content of a lesson
is important for many reasons. Some of the most important things to consider are if it is
developmentally appropriate, that the objectives are sound and measurable, and that it is related to
the student s experiences or knowledge. Determining if a lesson is developmentally appropriate is
important as if it is not it can either leave students bored, too below standards, or confused, too
above standards. This also leads to ensuring that objectives are sound and measurable, as measuring
objectives will help to indicate if the lesson was successful and if students learned the content or
skill, which indicates the appropriateness of it. The last important aspect to touch on is relating
learning to the

Conflict happens when people do not agree in a public situation which developed resentments
creating a negative atmosphere among people or group (Schermerhorn, 2011). A person might
develop emotional conflict caused by anger, trusting issues and resentment which caused a negative
energy that affects other and becomes distracting (Schermerhorn, 2011). For instance, when an
employee that is having relationship problems outside work, affects their performance. Also,
seeking comfort with other employees can become a stressing situation. In contrast, substantive
conflict is related to achieving goals in the workplace (Schermerhorn, 2011). Dealing with
coworkers can be challenging because of their cultures. For instance, employees might disagree on
task assignments, policies, and rules because of their beliefs (Schermerhorn, 2011).

21. What Is The Most Stressful Out Of Police Work Essay
Police officers face many stressful situations during their job. Most jobs have high rates of stress
but it has been Proven that police work is the most stressful out of all the jobs. There are four
categories of stress that police officers face. These four categories are external, organization,
personal, and operational stress. External stress is produced by real threats and dangers. External
threats happen outside of the office. Some examples of this are gun runs and other dangerous
activities that take part in auto pursuits. Organizational stress is produced by elements within a
quasi military character. This stress comes from within the organization. This can be a constant
adjustment of changing duties, odd working hours, working holidays,

22. Figurative Language In The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
Often times, nature is perceived in many different ways. This can be as a result of people having
their own opinions and knowledge. The Romantic era was an intellectual movement that lasted
from about 1800 1850. Romantic poets believed that nature is beautiful and controls fate. The
Romantics often used figurative language to describe and give nature traits. The poems Rime of
the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Ode to the West Wind by Percy Bysshe
Shelley are examples of Romantic poems. In the poems, each author reflected their visions of
nature. These poems reflected their visions of nature as dangerous, powerful, and divine. They
reflected their visions of nature by using symbolism and other forms of figurative language.... Show

For example, The death fires danced at night; the water, like a witch s oils, burnt green, and blue
and white (128 130 Coleridge). The quote above personified the death fires as dancing, and
connected the sea with the color of a witch s oil. Also, this quote describes the sea as color
changing which may be symbolic of its power. Another example that reflects nature is: And we
did speak only to break the silence of the sea! (109 110 Coleridge). The previous quote reflects
their visions of nature by putting emphasis on the silence of the sea which may represent the
serenity of nature. The quote also shows how if we speak we would disrupt the balance of
nature. Coleridge also used rhyme scheme to get a point across as can be seen in: The ice was
here, the ice was there, the ice was all around, It cracked and growled, and roared and howled
like noises in a swound! (61 62 Coleridge). This quote used the words roared and growled to
describe how the nature of the ice around them is dangerous and hostile. Coleridge reflected his
opinion of nature by using figurative language to describe how dangerous and divine nature

The United States obtained Alaska from Russia in 1867 for $7.2 million. Numerous lawmakers and

profit for the speculation, yet history now appear consistent in their judgment that the buy was

contrast just about whether to attribute the good conclusion to fortuity as opposed to American
prescience. Course readings and special materials for the province of Alaskakeep on pointing out

29. How Did The Russian Revolution Affect The Economy Between...
The economic situation of Russia from 1855 1917 undoubtedly had some influence on both the
revolutions of 1905 and 1917. Furthermore, in 1891 Russia faced a famine leaving 40,0000 dead,
followed by an economic slump in 1905. The First World War (1914 1918) had a drastic effect on
Russian economy and society, with vast amounts of money spent on munitions. Some would argue
that the economy was the main cause for both revolutions in 1905 and 1917. Nevertheless,
according to the definition of a revolution; to overthrow a government or social order, in favour of
a new system , it could not have been the economy alone, but other events such as war and society
that contributed to the Russian revolutions of 1905 and 1917.

Whilst previous wars had got a somewhat positive backing from the public, people were

before the war had even officially ended showing its severity. Some would argue here however it
still shows how important the economy was, as it was a crippling one surrounding a mass scale
war that caused the people to revolt. This also echoes another important factor in both revolutions
of 1905 and 1917 in that life in Russia including during war was a strain whilst food, fuel and raw
materials remained short. Another view considering the cause of the 1905 and 1917 revolution in
Russia is rather than being due to one solid event it is rather the general life of Russians, who
revolted due to being dissatisfied. An extract from Witte s Diary states a general feeling of profound

Marriage to Survive in Daniel Defoe s Moll Flanders
Although the central concerns of women during the eighteen century was of courtship and
marriage, social graces, and dignity, money was also a very important concern. Many of the female
characters in eighteenth century novels are portrayed as intensely aware of finances and markedly
interested in the getting and keeping of money (Scheuermann, 311). Daniel Defoe s fictional
heroine, Moll Flanders is always thinking in economic terms and looking for financial stability. She
must base her romantic relationships on money, rather than mutual affection. Marriage, for Moll, is

the money as a bribe to keep her quiet, but more as evidence of that the young man truly loved
her. She does not realize that he only sees her as a sexual escapade.
In eighteenth century England, everyone was incredibly conscious of their social positions.
Consequently, the rich rarely married the poor (Heyck, 47 64). Thus, when the younger brother

32. The Proposition That Different Personalities Contribute...
The purpose of this assignment is to explore the Proposition that Different Personalities contribute
to Effective Teams . Learning styles is defined as the process that learners use to sort and process
information (Cano, Garton Raven, 1992). Eysenck (1978) who developed the personality theories
of Extraversion (E), Neuroticism (N) and Psychoticism (P), noted that personality and learningare
closely related. Furthermore it was also found that there is a large overlap between personality and
learning styles(Jackson Lawty Jones, 1996) and Duff, Boyle, Dunleavy and Ferguson (2004)
state that an individuals learning orientation and approach to learning, is partially determined by
their personality. There is a lot of research (Duff Duffy, 2002; Lhori Posey, 2003; Coffield et al.,
2004; Reynold Vince, 2007; Welsh et al., 2007; Hornyak et al., 2007; Herbert Stenfors, 2007;

Armstrong Mahmud, 2008; Li et al., 2008) that shows people have a dominant learning style but
can also have a mixture of others. In this assignment I will provide evidence off different theories
which support learning styles and investigate different learning models such as Kolbs (1984) and
Honey and Mumford (1986). Different personalities can depict suitable team roles but in order to

The top issue in Toronto was the poor performance of public transit such as buses, streetcars, and

world countries provide users with better experiences than trasit users have in Toronto. The current
major problems with TTC are: crowding during rush periods and insufficient ridership to justify
reasonable service levels at other times. Another problem was that Rob Ford was unwilling to

In June of last year the TTC announced their plan to replace tickets and tokens by integrating
Presto, a Metrolinx smart card system all across the TTC by the end of this year. Tickets and
tokens will only be accepted to mid 2017. Public transit is one of the only means of
transportation for people in this situation, they usually have to chose between basic needs or

their encounter with the police or any criminal justice system. With new changes with the TTC

load the cards and with the Presto process which then the card takes 7 10 days to arrive, it s more
of hassle for people than to just carry over change, tickets, or tokens. Also an overall concern

37. Le Morte DArthur, And Sir Gawain And The Green Knight
Thomas Malory s Le Morte d Arthur, and the Gawain Poet s Sir Gawain and the Green Knight are
important works that should be considered when studying medieval literature. They both portray
the style and structure of medieval romance. They also tackle the same topic of King Arthur and his
knights, as well as share the same characters of King Arthurand Sir Gawain. In order to be able to
go over these works and understand them, one must understand the aspects of literature of the time.
There are some aspects found in almost all literary works written in the medieval times, some of
which are influenced by everyday life, problems, religion, and politics. For example, the French
invasion of England, known as the Norman Conquest, greatly influenced the language of the time.
At first, England was ruled by the Anglo Saxons, and used Old English in their literature, even
though they did not write much. With the invasion of the French, Anglo Saxon language was not
considered appropriate, and so they introduce a new easier dialect, which came to be known as
Middle English. This became the language they used to write, and the act of writing itself became
more abundant. Moreover, the conquest resulted in an increasing tension between England and
France. This tension is apparent in many works of the time, including Le Morte d Arthur . For
example, the depiction of Sir Launcelot as the greatest knight of all time in several romances. Also,
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight has roots

38. India s The Indian State
The Indian state, while ostensibly secular, nevertheless has institutionally always been set up to
intervene in religious affairs. The Indian constitution enshrines the right to individual freedom of
religion, [but] also empowers the state to intervene in Hindu religious institutions. (Sen 16) The
constitution, for instance, calls on the state to ban untouchability, an abhorrent Hindu practice,
establishing affirmative action to help certain disadvantaged religious groups and puts in place
separate personal laws for different religious groups. (Sen 16) These policies allow institutions like
the government, and the courts to intervene in communal issues, making the government a player
in conflicts like the Babri Masjid. The Congress party, while a secular party, was consequently
involved in decision making that would favour either the Hindus or the minorities. Indias Supreme
Court was also involved in legislating on religious affairs. As Sen writes, India s version of
secularism can be traced back to the debates in the Constituent Assembly, where the constitution
was drafted in the late 1940s. The Assembly saw a lot of debate over what form this secularism
would take. There were several voices in the Assembly, including that of B.R. Ambedkar, who
wanted to severely restrict the role of religion in the public sphere. Hence, scientist K.T. Shah raised

A Birthday is an upbeat, jubilant poem about love, written by Christina Rossetti in 1861. While
many believe that this love she is expressing so effusively is about a man, I believe that it is
about her new found love for God. Rossetti, after all, was a very religious person. The poem,
surprisingly, has an exuberant, lively tone, a great contrast to her other works, which almost always
give a sense of gloom and bleakness.
Rossetti creates a structured arrangement, allowing the images to flow smoothly. By separating the
poem into two octets, containing eight syllables per line, Rossetti creates contrast by first,
describing her feelings her all consuming happiness, how interchangeably light and heavy her
feelings are then explaining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The octet is ended with her proclamation My heart is gladder than all these, // Because my love is
come to me . She cannot think of anything more joyful than the love she has found. The rhyming
convention set up by Rossetti facilitates the smooth flow of the poem when read out loud. Rhyming
the even numbered verses through the first octet assists the nice roll of words to a lovely ending.
The second stanza starts to express and convey her love through actions. This is apparent
because of the verbs used in the octet, such as raise , hang , carve and work . These imperatives
suggest an authoritative tone, because it is as if she is ordering someone to do these things.
Backing that statement up, is the fact that Rossetti changes from an iambic meter to trochaic
which allows the recitation to focus on the verbs. This further underlines how she longs to show
off her love to the world. One verb that demonstrates the infinite quality of her love is carve
which, more likely than not, is associated with carving initials on the trunk of a tree , usual for
young people during Rossetti s time deeply in love who profess their enduring love to one another.
The bulk of the second octet is comprised of an elaborate description of how Rossetti wants to
prepare by using a metaphor of a beautiful, extravagant platform as an expression of her love. In
this, she uses

42. Essay On Mexican Stereotypes
Is it right to stereotype someone for who they are, what they do, and what they think? To
stereotyping is someone that believes unfairly that all people or things with a particular
characteristic are the same. When i m around people taking, sometimes i hear that all mexicans
mexicans jumped the border but that does not apply to all mexicans, i ll be talking about a time
where i was stereotyped. One day I was sitting on the couch, when all of the sudden i hear a man
saying that all mexicans do is sell tacos. This comment is stereotypical because that is not true,
most of my mexican family members work in various types of jobs. Actually, none of my
mexican family members work in the business of selling tacos. My dad works in construction, my
uncle is a lawyer, and my other uncle works in a restaurant. even though many of my friends have
friends and family that work in the taco business, that doesn t mean that all mexicans have to work
ass taco sellers.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All people are equal, for example, mexicans can do what asian people can do or what white
people can do. There are many great mexican scientists and athletes. There are also very good
businessmen in mexico. Basicly what anyone can do in America, china, russia, britain, etc we
can do maybe even better in mexico. If mexicans want to break out of this stereotype they have
to show the world what they can do. to break out of the stereotype that americans sell tacos we
can stop selling tacos and find easier ways to make more money faster. We can also stop
stereotyping by selling tacos all over the world. Not only does that already exist, but, not everyone
who sells tacos is mexican. There are many chinese and whites that sell tacos. One example of this
is that in my neighborhood, around the street from my house, there in a white couple that always
sells tacos and I always buy some

43. The Food And The Dining Program
Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It s not about nutrients and calories. It s
about sharing. It s about honesty. It s about identity (Louise Fresco). Most humans, including
myself, enjoy eating good food. When food is less than satisfactory and people have to eat that
same foodon a regular basis, they tend to get sick of it. That is the problem I am currently facing
in my second semester at MNU. The food was decent for a while, but the dining program lacks
variety and quality. Though the dining program is below average now, I believe that it can be
greatly improved by adding new items to the menu, serving the fan favorites more often, and
increasing the quality of the food.
By far, food is one of the most important things in this world. Most living things cannot survive
without it. Not only is it necessary for life, but it something that is universally loved by everyone
and everything. Some animals kill for food and some humans are even willing to fight and kill for
it. All that being said, it s clear that food is important to people and it should be treated accordingly.
At the moment, the dining program at MNU is not getting the job done, and it could definitely use
some changes.
One change that the dining hall could benefit from is adding new items to the menu. Currently,
MNU serves the same things for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast consists of either pancakes
or french toast, hash browns or potato wedges, and eggs. Then lunch comes

44. Riordan Manufacturing Supply Chain Design
Riordan Manufacturing Supply Chain Design
Shante Moore
University of Phoenix/OPS 571
Introduction
Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer and industry leader in the field of plastic
injection molding with locations in Georgia, Michigan, California, and their most current expansion
in 2000 to Hangzhou, China. The plant located in China manufactures fans using a make to stock
operation that uses a forecasting method to determine future demand. A review of their strategic
capacity planning and lean production for their new process design and supply chain process for
the electric fans will address bottleneck and supply chain issues. Also outlined are the details of
new processes and how the benefit the company. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An issue arises when periodic an order for fans against the contracted yearly total is received
randomly and at varying quantities throughout the year. This makes it difficult for the plant to
stock materials required in the short term. Another problem is the company supplying the motors
for the fans. Their on time delivery rate is only 93%. This leads to a bottleneck in manufacturing.
A solution for these problems is to implement an effective ordering system or process. In order to
improve the 7% lag time a second motor supplier could be used to fill the gap. There should be a
maximum amount of units per month, and a specified date the units are needed. For custom orders,
a specific date or deadline should be a requirement and included in the contract. Setting these
specific guidelines in the plants ordering system will improve the 7% lag time in deliveries.
Lean Production
When the bottlenecks in a process are exposed there is a strong correlation between a strategic
capacity plan and lean production. When Riordan implements a new process, lean production can
be achieved. More can be accomplished efficiently in less time due to a continuous production
flow (Kotelnikov, V., n.d.). The new ordering system will allow for all products needed to be
available just in time to begin production. Eventually, as a more specialized cross functional

On 05/13/2018 at about 0033 hours, I was dispatched to 22 Warm Glen Avenue in reference to a
runaway juvenile.
Upon my arrival, I was met by a black female adult identified as Samantha Hicks. Samantha stated
her daughter Summer Hicks(DOB:02/11/2005) had run away. Samantha went on to say that
Summer had spent the night at a friends (Aliyah Hopkins DOB:06/08/2004) house on 05/11/2018
and was to return home on 05/12/2018. Samantha stated she last spoke to Summer on 05/12

stated that she returned home at about 1730 hours and Summer was not home. Samantha told
me that she spoke to Hopkins mother was informed that Hopkins had also run away. Samantha
stated Summer has recently started acting out and not doing well in school. Samantha said that
Summer had left a note and the note stated the following: I love you so much. I ve been under a lot
of stress lately. I know i have been making poor decisions and not doing as well in school. I really
did try doing my best, I tried to make you proud, but when I tried my hardest for some reason it

46. American Historian And Labor Organizer, By Barbara Mayer...
Women place is in the home. That was the statement made by numerous labor union groups. They
resented women in the unions, they felt it was a man s place, they believed women belonged at
home taking care of the children. It was this belief that made it difficult, although not impossible
for women to break through the glass ceiling and make statements regarding conditions and
treatment in the workplace. While they faced opposition constantly, they refused to give up.
Barbara Mayer Wertheimer is an American historian and labor organizer; she specializes in
United States labor and gender history and she analyses women s work and their treatment in the
labor unions. She offers various perspectives of this in her book, We Were There: The Story of
Working Women in America. In Chapter 13, Women in Teaching and White Collar Jobs she
examines women in white collar jobs. Those jobs included secretaries, switchboard workers, and
retail clerks, nursing and teaching. Her thesis states, But even though women were entering each of
these job categories in increasing numbers, and the Chicago office workers local formally requested
that the AFL send in a women organizer to help recruit women, the AFL executive council was not
yet interesting in pushing unionization of this field and let the suggestion die. It seemed as if the
AFL felt that should include women, but did not want to be that progressive. Wertheimer supported
her thesis by explaining how the women in each of the

47. Forces Between Nationalism and Sectionalism in the 19th...
What events or trends contributed to the relationship between the forces of Nationalism and
Sectionalism?
During the course of American History, and especially after the War for Independence, Nationalism
and Sectionalism contributed and interacted with each other to shape the development of the
United States of America. These two ideologies are the inverse of one another. When sectionalism
is strong, nationalism is weak. When Nationalism is strong, sectionalism is weak. While
sectionalism and nationalism work off of each other, nationalism has always prevailed over
sectionalism in history. The inverse relationship and clash between the two forces can be seen
through a number of different events or trends in history such as, economical ... Show more content

The new inventions allowed for the belief of Manifest Destiny to fill the heads of Americans.
Manifest Destiny was a phrase used by leaders and politicians in the 1840s to explain continental
expansion by the United States that revitalized a sense of mission or national destiny for
Americans. (PBS Organization n.d.) This idea established a great deal of Nationalism within the
Americans. It created the feeling that, together, Americans would expand and build up America out
West.
Nationalism was strengthened greatly through economic improvements, and it could have also been
seen through some major political endeavors. The ratification of the constitution is one of the
earliest American events that established nationalism. The ratification showed that, through
compromise, Americans could agree on one basic set of rules and regulations for the unity of the
country. The American System, seen later in history, was also important to the force of nationalism
in the country. Henry Clay s American System, devised in the burst of nationalism that followed the
War of 1812, remains one of the most historically significant examples of a government sponsored
program to harmonize and balance the nation s agriculture, commerce, and industry. This System
consisted of three mutually reinforcing parts: a tariff to protect and promote American industry; a

48. Synopsis Of The King Of The Flies
It s another one of Aber Hael s main attractions. People come from all over for our wares, but
especially the seafood. I tell you, these people can fry, pickle, and salt anything.
Carlton removed Audra s arm from this elbow and took her hand instead, threading his fingers
between hers. It ll be easier for us to move along this way.
The king pointed out his knights skirting the edge of the crowds. As you can see, I make sure lots
of knights are available on market day to help keep the peace. It s usually calm, but in the warmer
weather when people have too much to drink, things can get rowdy. That s where our men come in.
Audra and Carlton walked from stall to stall and examined the wares without much fanfare. Audra
particularly liked the small charms and sun catchers offered at one stall. She admired a sun
catcher of a beautifully detailed red dragon flying above the clouds over a rushing river, Hael
River, she assumed.
A robust, white haired woman, the stall s merchant, approached. That s one of my favorites. Isn t
that beautiful?
Yes, I love it. Do you make these? Audra turned the sun catcher that hung from a hook so it would
better reflect the light.
I m proud to say the work s all mine. Can I interest you In that instant, Carlton turned around and
the old woman clearly recognized him right away and could not speak. She curtseyed low
immediately.

49. Iran And The Iranian Nuclear Weapons Program
The summer of 2015 marked a significant event in history the five permanent members of the
United Nations Security Council, Germany, and Iran were able to come to an agreement about
restricting Iran s nuclear programs. The capability of Iran to pursue a nuclear weapon scared the
international community, and this deal brought some peace to the political scene. For Iran, a
nuclear weaponrepresented legitimacy and leverage over the major powers of the world, so it is
interesting that Iran willingly blocked its avenue to achieve this bargaining chip. Nonetheless, there
are ongoing security concerns about a nuclear Iran and its methods of power projection, so it
becomes necessary to analyze the success of the Iranian nuclear deal and current... Show more

In return, the United States and other nations agreed to lift some sanctions on Iran, unfreeze its
assets, and allow Iran to enter the international oil market. On January 16, 2016, the International
Atomic Energy Agency officially declared, Iran has curbed its nuclear program enough to begin
receiving relief on sanctions (Kennedy 2016). This statement alone demonstrates that the nuclear
deal reduced the risk of a nuclear Iran. The International Atomic Energy Agency has historically
expressed great concerns about Iran s overt and clandestine nuclear operations. The nuclear deal
with Iran granted the International Atomic Energy Agency to have the ability to do strict
inspections on Iran, which Iran has avoided in the past, so the declaration of Iran s fulfillment of
international standards shows the efficacy and the durability of the agreement.
The major critics of the nuclear deal cite Iran s track record of long term deviation from previous
agreements and resolutions and argue Iran will renege on its promises. This argument is legitimate
because Iran has numerous violations across decades. For example, from about the mid 1980s to
2003, Iran violated several sections of the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement. Iran failed to
report that it had purchased natural uranium from China in 1991, failed to report that it had used
1.9 kg of the imported UF6 to test P1 centrifuges at the Kalaye Electric Company centrifuge
workshop in 1999 and 2002, and worst of all,

50. Persuasive Essay On Tariffs
I think a lot of people are tired of watching other countries ripping off the United
States, comments Trump as he implements, a 25 percent tariff on foreign steel and a 10 percent
tariff on foreign aluminum when the product comes across our borders. Trump believes that other
countries have been taking advantage of the US through the current free trade agreements. We are
America the Great ; therefore, of course, we produce steel and aluminum in the cheapest and most
efficient way possible. We will save jobs by encouraging other sectors to purchase steel and
aluminum domestically. The tariffs will only hurt the other countries, not our own people. This
belief is a big joke. Yet, many people believe that getting rid of free tradeis actually ... Show more

What do the people who work in the factories want? They want to have their jobs protected, like
many working people do. Trump promised to help those workers. He promised to protect their
jobs. That is why he is proposing the tariffs. Yet, the tariffs are not actually beneficial for the
workers. By strongly encouraging Americans to use domestic steel and aluminum, the prices are
being raised on these products. All the products that have these two products as inputs are also
having increased prices. Why were factories buying these goods across the sea? China produces
steel and aluminum at a lower marginal cost, allowing them to sell the goods at a lower price and
still maximize profit. Therefore, China is the most efficient producer of these products. Instead of
trying to inhibit efficiency, Trump should be promoting efficiency. He could do so by encouraging
the steel and aluminum factories to discover new ways to produce their goods with a lower
marginal cost. Also, maybe American factories could specialize in another industry if China is the
lowest cost producer of steel and aluminum. But, these proposals are not being encouraged by
Trump and his

51. Working With Client Reflection
In participating in this experiment, it provided me hands on experience in dealing with a client.
In the process of working with my client, I frequently found myself very comfortable with the
process; this may have been mainly due to how cooperative my client Scott was. Although it was
very comfortable with him, I did find myself on occasion not knowing what say when he asked
questions, but I did my best to answer what I could and made it known that I did not know the
answer, but was willing to do some outside research. One of the first questions I can remember
Scott asking me was, what is the difference between each fruitand vegetables and what do they
offer in terms of vitamins and minerals. I did not know how to respond to this, so I replied... Show

His response was he appreciated how welcoming I was and how comfortable I made him feel.
Some other positive feedback he gave was; my honesty to questions I did not know about, he felt
that I was very knowledgeable, approachable, honest, reliable, and very people oriented. I also think
I did well at communication and getting the client to talk about sensitive information. Getting
people to feel comfortable is the first step to establishing rapport with your client. With that rapport
comes trust and understanding ultimately leading to more vulnerability and trust between the
dietitian and client. Another strength I think is important is approachability, if your client does not
feel comfortable talking to you and reaching out in times of need, then you won t be able to
establish a rapport outside a clinical setting.
During the second protocol, I noticed that I was good at suggesting alternatives foods and
ingredients in meal. When it comes to assessing your clients eating habits, finding ways and using
tactics to modify already existing diets, especially in case when dealing with diverse cultures and
ethnicities is very important. An example I mentioned to Scott during out appointments was
discussing portion sizes. During times when Scott would eat

Abortion.
The tittle of the article I will be analyzing is republicans seek to put abortion on the front burner
in 2016 . The article was published in U.S. News and World Report, written by Tierney Sneed.
Abortion is a never ending debate, it is one of the most common medical procedures performed in
the United States each year. Abortionis also one of the most debated topics of all time, it is a never
ending debate of whether it should be legal for women to terminate pregnancy. Some people are
against abortion while others are for it. people that are against abortion also known as pro life

While Americans long have been split on the general question of abortion though a majority do
believe it should be legal in at least some circumstances, a number of polls show that a majority
of voters oppose abortion after 20 weeks (Sneed). The republicans have proposed a bill that bans
abortion after twenty weeks, if a person were to have an abortion after this time period it will be
considered illegal and there will be consequences. If a woman was raped and got pregnant if she
does not wish to have the child according to the new law being proposed, that said woman has to
report the rape to the police and then she can proceed with the abortion. As stated by the article,
Abortion rights supporters counter with polling that shows voters are more supportive of
abortions after 20 weeks in cases of fetal abnormalities (Sneed). In some extreme cases a few
people believe that abortion should be allowed after the twenty week time period has passed, for
instance in situations where it s not safe for the fetus and or the mother to continue with the
pregnancy, or if the baby will have some sort of birth defects. All republican presidential candidates
and those considering to join the presidential candidate race are all supporting the twenty week
abortion ban. Americans have been clear that they do not want politicians to interfere with their
health care decisions. Meanwhile
