Succes lessons from jordan belfort the real wolf of the wall street (comes i...Iacob Ioan-Adrian
Jordan Belfort, the American stock broker whose story inspired Martin Scorsese`s movie The Wolf of Wall Street, will come for the first time to Romania in November to share his sales methods in a conference organized by Extreme Training.
Belfort will present his sales system, Straight Line Persuasion, which helped him set up a brokerage firm with 1,000 employees and make USD 1 million a week for himself in the 90s.
Belfort came into public attention as a “bad guy” after he was prosecuted for securities fraud and money laundering in one of the largest stock market scandals on Wall Street in the 90s. He served 22 months in prison for a pump and dump stock selling scheme which cost his clients approximately USD 200 million in losses.
His rise to success and his extravagant lifestyle were portrayed in The Wolf of Wall Street movie (trailer below), in which Leonardo diCaprio plays Jordan Belfort . However, Belfort is now a changed man and uses his skills as a public speaker and trainer, teaching others how to sell more, how to get more from their life, and how to do this in an ethical way.
Tickets for the Bucharest conference are EUR 375 to EUR 440, but you can SAVE EURO 50 if you use this coupon: AISUCCES.

53 Takeaways From The Wolf Of Wall Street's London SeminarSean McPheat
Most people have seen the film by now and know exactly what this man, Jordan Belfort, has done in the past.
As a way of repaying the people he has stolen from in the past – Belfort now travels around the world and delivers motivational speeches and gives advice on how to sell effectively to people (ethically too!)
I attended his seminar in London at the Excel Centre and here is what I took away from it…
Completely align selling a product and closing a sale with a higher purpose. At the end of the day your true purpose will carry you through.
This is what separates the closers from the losers, and the big producer from the average producer. To continue to ask, persist, to figure out another way to circle back after being told no, reposition and ask again is ultimately what will make you a great closer.
The only way to wear out resistance is with persistence.

Business is a ‘Game of Inches’ and not a one off event. 99% of successes come from many small, practical steps rather than the single ‘Eureka’ idea. Ask your people to invent the next iPhone and they get paralysed by the pressure. Give them achievable processes for everyday small-scale innovation and they can achieve greatness.

The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.

What’s the Basis of Our Self Confidence?*
4. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
4
Is my level of self confidence tends to go up and down like the stock market?
Or perhaps it even goes up and down along with the stock market!
Reflect on a story of a Japanese businessman - that might give us a new vision
He is a man who initially had numerous bankruptcies.
After his first bankruptcy he said, "Even though my business had failed, I did not feel
like I had failed.
I still had confidence in myself. I still knew that I could do something good. I didn't try
to figure out all the details of what I had done right or wrong,
I didn't try to understand whether I was a good business man or a bad business man.
I just continued to believe in myself, and the vision that I had.
5. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
5
After his first bankruptcy he borrowed some more capital, and started a
new business, and went bankrupt, shortly.
Afterwards he said, "Even more so now, I still had confidence in myself.
I had seen some flashes of brilliance, and I knew that I could do
something good.
Once again, I didn't focus on right or wrong, good or bad.
I focused on what had worked and I concentrated on how I could borrow
more money with the hope of finally fulfilling my dream."
6. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
6
He managed to borrow more money, and was bankrupt again.
After his third bankruptcy he said "At this point I had gotten the beginning
taste of victory.
I knew I was getting closer to getting it right.
What a fantastic spirit this guy has!
He had huge confidence in the face of big time short term failure.

Persistence and Commitment
8. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
8
Back out again on the streets, he only managed to borrow a small sum
this time.
Not being able to start a "real" business with this limited amount, he
rented a small Japanese pick-up truck.
He shopped around in various wholesale markets and wound up
deciding to only buy reasonable quality items that he could sell cheaply.
He loaded his goods into the back of his tiny pick-up truck and parked
illegally on a busy street where he hawked his wares to the passers by,
and the launch of new retail phenomena had begun.
9. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
9
Over time he parleyed the success
he had with his one tiny truck,
into a chain of highly successful stores
10. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
10
When asked to what he attributed his success, he replied
Believing in myself, not picking apart all of my pluses and minuses."
Right from the beginning I knew that I could be successful.
I knew that dissecting what I had done right and what I had done wrong
would eat up a lot of time and energy, and most likely not give me the
formula for success.
I knew that the formula for success was already inside of me, and that
my job was to find a way to allow this formula to be expressed.
11. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
11
I didn't try to understand what to do,
I tried to get myself to the point
where I was already doing what I needed to do
12. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102

Take Homes
• To me this story offers a great deal of inspiration.
• The faith this man has in himself can be a gift to all of us.
• It reminds me of interviews of a number of highly successful business
magnets, all of whom had "failed" at least three or four times along the
way.
13. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
13
Each person in their own words said the following
I could not be the success I am today,
had it not been for all of my previous failures!
14. Excalibre- where you discover your
inherent potential. Cell 98188 12102
14
Your failures possess the seeds of future success
I am guessing that we all do.
Even in the dictionary
"Failure" come before "Success".
Experience is what you get,
when you do not get what you want
