The 4th Geniko Lykeio of Kalamata in Greece sent six teachers on educational staff mobilities to Italy, Czech Republic, France, Spain, and Sweden from 2014 to 2015 funded by the Erasmus+ program. Contextualization of Open Educational Resources in Asia and Europe

Contextualization of Open Educational Resources in Asia and Europe

The HELENA project was a 30-month EU-funded collaborative project starting in April 2009 with 7 participants that explored how to make engineering studies more attractive to potential students, especially women. The project hypothesized that rethinking engineering curriculums to include more interdisciplinarity and better integration of the societal impacts of technology could help attract more women. The main results found that interdisciplinarity attracted a larger proportion of women students in countries where the course content was the primary factor in choosing a degree, but other factors like rankings and stereotypes were more influential in other countries. Students perceived interdisciplinarity as attractive if implemented seriously in the curriculum with coherence and qualified professors across subjects.

Stakeholder organizations in higher education governance are increasingly influential actors at the European level. These include the European University Association (EUA), European Students' Union (ESU), European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE), European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), Education International (EI), and BusinessEurope. While they do not have voting rights, they significantly influence decision-making through consultation and responding to European Commission initiatives. The organizations represent different constituencies but work together on common issues like quality assurance. Research aims to analyze the policy positions of these groups over time to understand convergence and how European dynamics shape their stances.

Die erste Ausgabe des Erasmus+ Journals ist veröffentlicht. In dieser Ausgabe berichten Studierende der Pädagogischen Hochschule Steiermark über ihre Erfahrungen währende des Erasmus Auslandssemesters.
Die Beiträge für diese Ausgabe (Issue 1) des Erasmus+ Journals wurden von einer dreiköpfigen Kommission der Pädagogischen Hochschule Steiermark aus allen E-Portfolios des Studienjahres 2012/13 ausgewählt. Diese Kommission bestand aus der Leiterin des Zentrums 2 – internationale Bildungskooperationen Mag. Susanne Linhofer dem Herausgeber des Erasmus+ Journals, Heiko Vogl MA BEd und der Mitarbeiterin des Zentrums 2 Mag. Katharina Kamitz.
Ausgewählt wurden von dieser Kommission Beiträge über Island, Spanien, die Niederlande und Belgien. Weiters gibt es einen Bericht über das Intensivprogramm DivuS in Brüssel und einen Überblick über das EU-Projekt Young Entrepreneurship Developing in Action (YEDAC).

This blended learning course consists of three parts. The first one will be an introductory approach to the main issues of the course; the participants will be required to log in the course area, filling in their profile, and analyse selected readings and prepare their essays before the face to face sessions. The second part of the course consists of 6 days face2face sessions with lectures, workshops, seminars, group work, cultural activities, school visits and international projects planning. Once completed, teachers - organised in international groups- will carry out a project in their own schools; these projects will be shared, analysed, described and written, including visual evidences. A selection of them will be edited in e-book format and uploaded to the webpage of European Teachers.
