An Improved Tracking Using IMU and Vision Fusion for Mobile Augmented Reality...ijma
Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) is becoming an important cyber-physical system application given the
ubiquitous availability of mobile phones. With the need to operate in unprepared environments, accurate
and robust registration and tracking has become an important research problem to solve. In fact, when
MAR is used for tele-interactive applications involving large distances, say from an accident site to
insurance office, tracking at both the ends is desirable and further it is essential to appropriately fuse
inertial and vision sensors’ data. In this paper, we present results and discuss some insights gained in
marker-less tracking during the development of a prototype pertaining to an example use case related to
breakdown/damage assessment of a vehicle. The novelty of this paper is in bringing together different
components and modules with appropriate enhancements towards a complete working system.
In this project, we describe a unique architecture for indoor navigation that integrates behavior recognition, multisensory indoor localization, and path-planning in order to pro-actively provide directions without direct input from users. To our knowledge, this is the first architecture that attempts to integrate the core navigation components of path planning and localization with intent prediction towards a more refined navigation solution. The system comprises of three core components: augmented reality, map representation and route planning, and plan recognition.
To achieve effective localization, we provide pre-built maps using QR code scanning distributed at various places of the indoor location. We are using Augmented Reality to make an intuitive and user friendly interface which uses QR codes for identification of various maps that are pre uploaded in the QR codes for the ease of users.

MY responsibilities include working at the front end,Creating the interface using XML,setting up the maps using Google maps API , Places API for searching nearby points of interest.
Setting up the database using MySql,sending data to the server and fetching data from the server
Augmented reality (AR) is a technology which provides real time integration of digital content with the
information available in real world. Augmented reality enables direct access to implicit information
attached with context in real time. Augmented reality enhances our perception of real world by enriching
what we see, feel, and hear in the real environment. This paper gives comparative study of various
augmented reality software development kits (SDK’s) available to create augmented reality apps. The
paper describes how augmented reality is different from virtual reality; working of augmented reality
system and different types of tracking used in AR.
The visual representation of a product and the role of visualization have recently become a central issue in
design research. By enriching a real scene with computer generated objects, Augmented Reality, has
proven itself as a valuable Human-Computer Interface in numerous application areas, such as medicine,
military, entertainment and manufacturing. In this paper we propose an approach by which a user can
create own 3D augmented reality scenes that enable interaction between the real world and virtual
assembly's components, while including an animation at the same time. For this purpose, BuildAR Pro
software is employed using marker-based camera tracking, while assembly design is obtained with
standard CAD system SolidWorks. The animations are developed in 3ds max software package in order to
save the assembly as .ive file format, which is helpful to increase the performance of scene rendering
and/or viewing.
