The City Of Southern Mexico Los Lobos Meaning The...
There once was a small village in Southern Mexico called Los Lobos meaning The Wolves. The
village was named that because the hills that the village were built on, it was inhabited with wild
wolves and the people had to be careful where they went. A family was going down there to visit their
relatives including Bryan and his nephew Miguel. They were very excited since it was their first time
visiting Mexico, but it all changed once they got closer to the small village which was filled with dirty
streets and homeless families begging for food. The sad scenery looked like something you would see
only on T.V, but it was worse and the saddest thing he had seen. They finally arrived in the state of
Guanajuato where the village was at. They ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The house had an unusual smell to it that Bryan couldn t quite his finger on it. Miguel had never

child, but there showed no evidence of this so called Witch . old lady on the corner of Babylan St.
because he always knew it was just a folktale,so they wouldn t go into a stranger s house.
Many of the old people in the village had claimed they had been marked by the witch when they were
little while sleeping in their very own homes including Bryan s Grandma Mrs. Ojeda. The family was
enjoying their first chilly night under the stars that were clearly visible unlike how they were back
home. It was a perfect time for Bryan and his nephew to ask their grandmother to tell them the story of
the witch on the corner of Babylan St. that was just 4 houses away. Bryan finally broke the silence of
the night by telling his grandma, Grandma can you tell us the story of the witch on the corner of the
street? Bryans Grandma had agreed but told us not to tell their parents she had told them the story. She
said, The rumors began when a family had moved into the house a week before Christmas. Time had
passed and the day was Christmas Eve and as traditions went, they would blow fireworks starting at
midnight and burn the dummies they had made of hay and fireworks with old clothes they saved all
year. The family did not want to do fireworks that night so they stayed inside the house for

The Importance Of Lightweight Location Verification...
A ubiquitous motion tracking system using sensors in a personal health device, a ubiquitous motion
tracking system that tracks sporting equipment using the sensors installed in an activity monitor was
proposed and constructed. The activity monitor with the tracking sensors could be attached to places
on the body or on sports equipment to calculate the speed and acceleration of these objects. (A.Perrig,
et.al 2001)
The below flow diagram shows how that Lightweight location verification algorithm work, in the first
level, the data owner collect the basic information of the network. The content of the information
about the packet and the time of sending and receiving the information is stored in the basic
information layer. The third layer is packet formatting which have the details of the data. In wireless
network, the data are sent through packets so the packets content the information in a header which
contents the information of the source and the destination information and the parole represent the
data here. Packet generation the fourth layer gathers all the collected information and also may content
many useful data for the host source, after that there are two types of verification, one is on spot, other
is in region. In on spot verification the sensor hold the data and checks the packet is on place whether
the data owner placed it. However, if the spot is changed then the measurement detail will send to the
host node. In the in region verification, it

Evaluation Of Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results
Evaluation of Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results by Joanne Lipman is a well supported article.
Mrs. Lipman gives good insight to tough teachers getting good results from their students by using her
experience with her music teacher Mr. Kupchynsky. She provides many references to case studies
performed on students in classrooms by doctors and graduate students to support her point. Mrs.
Lipman explains that her Mr. Kupchynsky was a strict teacher, but because of his strictness when he
passed away all of his past students that came to pay their respects were all successful people in life
some were doctors and lawyers. Mrs. Lipman then continues to use her personal story to explain some
of the conceptions of present day educators and how they are false. She uses eleven ways to prove that
today s educational system as become soft on present day children. The fear, of course, is that failure
will traumatize our kids, sapping their self esteem. Wrong again. A 2006 study, a Bowling Green State
University graduate student followed 31 Ohio band students who were required to audition for
placement and found that even students who placed lowest did not decrease in their motivation and
self esteem in the long term. The study concluded that educators need not be as concerned about the
negative effects of picking winners and losers (Lipman). I really enjoyed reading this article, it really
did open my eyes to how the world of education has changed but the old ways of teaching

John Vogel s Thinking Outside The Housing Bubble
As we now know, the U.S. economy, the middle class, and its job growth was damaged by the
overwhelming collapse of Wall Street, which was triggered by the downfall of the housing market and
sub prime loan defaults. One of the main things that need to be addressed in our economy today is the
housing market and making sure that our banks and credit unions are not allowing people who do not
have the necessary income to pay their mortgage disbursements. In an article entitled Thinking outside
the Housing Bubble, the author John Vogel remarks how the economy is generally supported by the
housing market. Vogel states:
On the other hand, if we view the problem as a credit bubble, we might be able to protect ourselves
and speed up the recovery ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Federal Government needs to make sure to enforce strict guidelines on who can and cannot be
accepted for a home loan, and not allow big investors to borrow excessive money at low interest rates
to inflate the investor s financial advantage. If the government starts allowing lower standards on
mortgages, we are going to end up in the same catastrophe once again. In an article written by U.S.

The passage implicated that Obama wanted to do away with federally funded conglomerates Fannie

In the modern age where business is spread globally the...
In the modern age where business is spread globally the challenges in front of an organization are
highly complex as the competition intensifies. Due to the complexity in the organizational
management the older system methodology seems to become less relevant and sparingly less useful in
these situations. These issues led to the introduction of complexity paradigm (Amagoh, 2008).
Complexity theory was derived from the chaos and systems theory to show how a system is not
confined in its boundaries and the growth or fall of an organization or a system depends upon how it is
able to adapt and change to various situations.
Complexity in an organization can be defined as the heterogeneity or diversity in the internal
environment factors like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unlike the general systems theory stating that the organizations strive to achieve equilibrium
complexity theory states that the equilibrium state would mean the death of an organization. The very
essence of life is to change and transform according to the need of the moment like Samsung took into
Smartphone market with vigor transforming them into the technology giants they are at the moment.
Another difference between the General system theory and the complexity theory is the boundary.
While in the case of general system theory a fixed boundary is defined for each system there is no
fixed boundary as explained in the complexity theory. The boundaries keep changing along
continually. As per complexity theory a bounded instability state between rigidity and chaos is the
perfect building block for growth and creativity in a team (The Complexity Advantage, Kelly and
Alison).
There are two principle ideas which the complexity theory works on. The first is based on the structure
of an organization with a trade of between the efficiency and flexibility of an organizational structure.
This addresses that a system should be partially connected rather than a completely coupled or
decoupled system (Kauffman, 1995; Langton, 1990; Gell Mann, 1994a). According to many when a
system is over connected the ability to adapt to changing situations becomes

Global Almond Market Vs. California
Part #1 GLOBAL ALMOND MARKET vs. CALIFORNIA S WATER DROUGHT California
Almonds are crunchy, delicious, and healthy and currently are becoming one of the world s favorite
snacks. Almonds are currently consumed about 1000% more than they did a decade ago by people
from around the world and became the most exported crop in the nation s top agriculture state (While
California FightsDrought, Almonds Using More Water Than Residents, 3). In addition, almonds are
tremendously profitable, generating approximately $11 billion to the state s economy in 2014 alone
(Philpott, T., Lurie J., 3). However, the huge success of almonds results a water crisis in California.

According to a youtube video from Tandrea, Tree T Pee is proven to save water from 10,000 gallons
annually per tree to only using 800 gallons annually per tree. Also, it saves 300% 600% fuel costs,
fertilizers, and herbicides and help grows young trees faster. The secret of this containment system is
forcing the water to focus around a 24 inch diameter and keep the soil moist rather than sprinkling
water in a 10 foot diameter, wasting most of the water (Tandrea, December 2014). Hence, from my
calculation, instead of consuming 1.07 trillion gallons of water annually in California for almond,
farmers could only use 85.6 billion gallons of water annually in California and also have the benefit of
saving fuel costs, fertilizers, and herbicides. Moreover, engagement of stakeholders is needed to make
this solution go smoothly and achieve success of preventing the drought issue in California to
continue. The master plan is to have all farmers in California to use Tree T Pee to all of their
plantations to reduce water usage and alleviate the issue of drought. In order for this plan to be a
reality, several stakeholders need to work together and engage with each other, which include the
government, the farmers, and the environmentalist. I would start by interacting with several farmers in
California directly by going to their farm and conduct an interview regarding the best way to limit the
water usage and

Filial Piety In Confucianism In Ancient China
Filial Piety in Confucianism A famous Chinese saying asks, if one does not have piety towards one s
own parents, then how can one be loyal towards one s friends, country, or any other? In ancient China
Confucius taught filial piety as, the reverent respect of children toward their parents. (Ebrey,
Cambridge Illustrated History, p. 43) Confucius taught that duty to one s parents is an integral part of
society because it fit into the larger ethical system that he believed in. As the saying says, how can one
is not loyal to ones parents, how can they be loyal to anything else. Fillial piety was important in
Confucius time because he emphasized its utility in teaching people how to act and behave towards
other family members and society in general. (Filial Piety in Confucian Teachings) Respect for your

in three years after his death you have not yet deviated from your father s ways, then you may be

Hundred Year s War Research Paper
Research Paper Rough Draft
One of the world s most important wars happened in medieval time, known as the Hundred Year s war.
The Hundred Year s war was a war between England and France, which started as a conflict between
kings. The war also brought many changes to fighting tactics, religion, and government. The Hundred
Year s war, which started off as a conflict to become king, had major turning points and battles which
helped bring change to the world. The Hundred Year s war was caused by a conflict that started with
king Charles IV and the fight to become king. King Charles IV had no heir to the throne as a result of
having no male children. King Edward III of England believed he should be king, while the French
believed that King Charles IV s cousin Philip IV should be king. Edward stated that he was the closest
heir, due to the fact his mother is the sister of King Charles IV. The French said because King Edward
III was connected through a female, he had no right to be king. The quote from Edward ... Show more

that, but the war helped abolish feudalism, a government system of allowing men to purchase land in
return for fighting for the lord. Some men have different land from different lords, who may be
fighting one another. This system was partially responsible for the war. The war also created hatred
between England and France, and England was respected more. The war brought great change to the

Mirrored Worlds
There are many instances throughout literature where two pieces, told by two different narrators, and
telling two different stories can be found to have similar textual qualities. This instance can be shown
between A Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson by Mary Rowlandson
herself and Our Nig by Harriet E. Wilson. The stories depict the great suffering of two individuals
who express similar qualities in their writings; the qualities being that each piece is a captivity
narrative, there is a struggle with faith, and a silenced sexual subtext. The first piece by Rowlandson
tells the story of a white Puritan woman. She is captured by Native Americans, and goes through many
hardships as she is held against her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second similarity between the two pieces is seen with their struggles with faith. Rowlandson starts
off in the beginning of her narrative already a Puritan follower. Her plight through captivity, she says,
only strengthened her faith. Many say her narrative to be a religious allegory, telling the tale of her
captivity on the surface, but further looking to the deeper journey of faith that she endures. The entire
narrative shows Rowlandson s religious journey, and even while looking at the twenty removes that
take place, one can see that each of these removes represent the stages of her spiritual journey. Jordan
Stein argues in the Historiography of Sexuality that Rowlandson, suggests that her experience displays
God s truth rather than her own (483). This other major point seen in her work shows she believes her
capture to have been a test of her faith by God himself. In terms of a strengthened faith that is not
exactly what is found by Frado in Wilson s Our Nig. Frado starts off as having no real religious
beliefs. At the Bellmonts house she soon befriends Aunt Abby and the Bellmonts son, James, who
both have strong religious backgrounds. Throughout the story, both characters hope for a conversion
in Frado and push with her to attend church, religious meetings, and to teach her the Bible. Frado also
has a strong desire for a conversion because she loves these two characters and wants to make them
happy; she however,

isotopes other than Cobalt 60, these include: Cobalt 47, Cobalt 48, Cobalt 49, Cobalt 50, Cobalt 51,
Cobalt 52, Cobalt 53, Cobalt 54, Cobalt 55, Cobalt 56, Cobalt 58, Cobalt 59, Cobalt 60, Cobalt 61,

Cobalt 71, Cobalt 72, Cobalt 73, Cobalt 74, Cobalt 75 and Cobalt 76 (Jefferson Lab, n.d.). Co 60 is a
synthetically produced radioisotope with a half life of 5.27 years (Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention [CDC], 2014). It decays through beta particles and gamma radiation (CDC, 2005). Cobalt
60 decays into stable isotope, Nickel 60 through beta minus decay (radioactivity.eu.com, n.d.).
SAFETY ISSUES
Cobalt 60 can be very dangerous to human health. If ingested or inhaled, the majority of co 60 is
excreted in the feces and the rest is absorbed into the blood and tissues, mainly the liver, kidneys and
bones (CDC, 2014; United States Environmental Protection Agency [EPA], 2015). As co 60 is
involved in ionising radiation, all co 60 that is absorbed by liver, kidneys or bone tissue can cause
cancer and because it decays by gamma radiation, this results in an increased risk of cancer in
comparison to other radioisotopes along with skin burns, acute radiation sickness, or death. In
occasional circumstances, medical or industrial radiation sources are lost or stolen

The Frank Talent of Aretha Louise Franklin Essay
Aretha Louise Franklin was born on March 25, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee (bio 1). She was one of
five children born to Rev. Clarence L. Franklin and Barbara (Siggers) Franklin (Moritz 132). Aretha
was born into a very musical family. Her mother, Barbara, was a gospel singer and her sisters, Erma
and Carolyn, are both vocalists, too (Glickman 1, Moritz 132). Her brothers took a different,
unmusical approach to their lives. Her brother, Cecil, is the Assistant Pastor at his father s church and
her other brother, Vaughn, is a career man in the United States (Moritz 132). When Aretha was two

her career according to Phyl Garland of Ebony in 1967 (Moritz 133 134). She caused a small riot

Kevin Rudd Apology To Australia s Indigenous People
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd s apology to Australia s Indigenous people is in its own essence addressed
in a spoken form but has been transcribed into a written text. The speech was delivered at the
Parliament of Australia, House of Representatives by Kevin Rudd with the intentions to make an
apology to Indigenous Australians in particular of the dreadful past of the Stolen Generations . It was
delivered to both a live audience as well as broadcast via the channel of television and radio to a wider
Australian audience, especially to the Aboriginal audience. He adopts an appropriate and respectful
tenor which in turns fosters a formal register to accommodate the solemnity of the topic. Accordingly,
it softens Rudd s relative social status to further give him creditability of his humble tone. Whilst the
topic relates to the catastrophe of the Stolen Generations the field of the transcript more broadly

implements repetition and strings of parallelisms with statements in line 16 to 21 with we say sorry to

Taking a Look at the Warsaw Pact
The Warsaw pact was the result of a treaty which the USSR and seven of its surrounding countries
signed. The treaty was signed by the USSR, Albania, Poland, Romania, Hungary, East Germany,
Czechoslovakia, and Bulgaria, in Warsaw, Poland in 1955. This was created 6 years after the Western
nations created NATO in 1949. This treaty was a treaty of friendship, cooperation, and mutual
assistance ( APPENDIX C: THE WARSAW PACT Soviet Union ). The USSR stated that the reason
for the creation of this alliance was the addition of Western Germany to the NATO (North Atlantic
Treaty Organization). They weren t very fond of this because they felt threatened. The Russians
created this pact for one main reason; to keep its East European allies under its political and military
control ( APPENDIX C: THE WARSAW PACT Soviet Union ). They didn t want the rest of the
surrounding satellite countries to end up joining NATO like Western Germany did, because that would
put them in a very dangerous situation. Many people say that Khrushchev s ambition towards the
power of the Communist party may explain the formation of the Warsaw pact he wanted global
domination for Communism. ( The Cold War Museum ). The Warsaw Pact was a very big part of the
cold war because it finally gave a depth to the Cold War . It seemed very one sided. This creation of
another side was good for the communist states.

Conflict Managment

Conflict management refers to the long term management of intractable conflicts. It is the label for the
variety of ways by which people handle grievances standing up for what they consider to be right and
against what they consider to be wrong. Those ways include such diverse phenomena as gossip,
ridicule, lynching, terrorism, warfare, feuding, genocide, law, mediation, and avoidance. Some of the
forms of conflict management can be used in any given situation and can be somewhat predicted and

Make a report of regular written status reports and include accomplishments, current issues and needs
from management and the plans for the upcoming period. One should always conduct basic training

Suspension Bridge at Location D Essay
I think a suspension bridge would be the best type of bridge to build from location D. This is because
suspension bridges typically can span distances from 2,000 to 7,000 feet long location D spans a
distance of 4,200 feet across an ocean bay where long ships come and go. The other bridges would not
be adequate enough to connect Hebron Island with the mainland. For example, an arch bridge cannot
be connected numerous times in the ocean without structural support from the ground, and can only
span short distances usually less than 800 feet. A beam bridge would not be a suitable option either
because they typically can only span distances below 200 feet, and connecting many beam bridges

Though sturdiness is a major advantage, a significant drawback to building a suspension bridge is the
costs. Steel is an expensive material to construct long, massive suspension bridges out of. Our bridge
will have to span a long distance of 4,200 feet and constructing a bridge of steel for such a great
distance will definitely be pricey. The costs of building a suspension bridge is very high and they tend
to be the most expensive type of bridge to build. In addition, over time, steal is a material that can
deteriorate quickly due to corrosion as stated by the Understanding Bridges video. Proper inspections
need to be conducted often to ensure the safety of the passengers traveling on the bridge.
When building the bridge, weather conditions are a major factor to take into consideration. For
example, when it is windy, a suspension bridge will sway from side to side or even bounce up and
down, making transportation dangerous for those traveling on the bridge. The Tacoma Narrows Bridge
is a very good example of this type of structural failure. It was built to withstand winds up to 120 mph
but it collapsed in a wind of only 42 mph after oscillating back and forth repeatedly. Since suspension
bridges are susceptible to wind, it is always a challenge for engineers to keep the vertical and lateral
swayings within safe limits. Transporting the equipment to build a bridge above such a huge mass of

Essay On Cost Drivers
Implementation of similar drivers occur during Maintenance and Service Operations. As with new
fabrication, labor is a key prime cost associated with service and regular maintenance of aircraft.
Though this cost is easy to allocate to specific airframes by hour, it is also important to note that
service and maintenance require a higher percentage of Support Costs through inspections, analysis,
and customer involvement activities. As such, implementation of ABC methods in this sector requires
more detailed analysis of support and labor costs to identify cross activity correlations. Finally,
Training and Support Activities would be the most difficult to clarify prior to implementation. Cost
drivers for non standardized training events or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
ABC Cost Structure Cessna has a fairly straightforward product set that lends itself to ABC fairly
easily. Regardless if the airframe is being designed, assembled, or serviced, the ABC activities and
associated cost drivers are applicable to all operating activities. Product promotion and advertising
utilize similar mediums and sales of all types of airframes are handled using similar cost drivers.
Moving into the Design and Engineering phase, employees can again combine these tasks into an
activity center that runs off of design hours as their primary cost driver. Airframe Fabrication covers
the physical production and construction activities and would be budgeted based on multiple cost
drivers depending on the hourly requirement per item. The most logical cost driver in this category is
the number of parts requiring assembly or fabrication. Once assembly is complete,
Inspection activities assess the quality and integrity of the finished airframe to prevent failures and
possible catastrophic consequences. Similar to fabricating, where the number of parts determine cost,
the cost driver for inspections are the number of inspections necessary to obtain the required
airworthiness certifications. The final overhead costs

Music During The Middle Ages
Music has a huge impact in modern day society. Different types of genre and sounds of music are
discovered every day. Music has become a basic part of everyday living. From Alternative to Country
from Pop to R B, each type of music has its own unique sound. Every type of music originated from
the same place. The Middle Ages, Medieval Era, was the era where music started to make an
upcoming change in society. From secular to religious use, music altered mankind. Music from the

instruments had to start from some place. Over the years, the instruments have been innovated to fit

Hydrocephaly-MASA Spectrum Analysis
Hydrocephaly MASA Spectrum is the most common XLID syndrome with a structural malformation
of the central nervous system. Isolation of mutations in L1CAM has allowed inclusion of four entities
that were previously thought to be separate entities in the spectrum; these include X linked
hydrocephaly, MASA syndrome, XLID clasp thumb and complicated spastic paraplegia (Stevenson
RE., 2013). Hypotonia is usually present initially and replaced by spasticity in the late childhood.
Interestingly, the degree of intellectual development of these individuals appears to be correlated with
the severity of hydrocephaly. Hydranencephaly represents the most severe form of ARX associated
XLID. In most cases it is coupled with abnormalities of neuronal migration,

Egypt under Mubarak
Egypt plays an extremely significant role as one of the major powers in the Middle East. Egyptian
force in the Arab world stems from the strength of its cultural life which makes it extremely difficult
to be ignored. The book, Egypt under Mubarak features essays from seven different authors, which
examine the causes and consequences of the many crises Egypt has faced. Mubarak comes into power
taking upon himself the previous Egyptian political, sociological, and economic problems left by
Sadat and Nasser. The present administration attempts to fix these problems by employing Egypt s
significant resources in the forming of a distinct and effective international role.

The book touches on topics with a broad range from politics to economy to geography. The book is
solely based on research of the Egyptian government from the time when Mubarak took power, 1981,
up until the writing of the book which was in 1989.
Throughout the book, 16 books are cited. Even though the book is based on the government under
Mubarak, the writers refer to events that were held before Mubarak was put into power which helps
the reader understand the important history behind the present. After each chapter, there are
bibliographies as well as endnotes in some chapters listing the sources used in the passage. Except for
the Chapter on the National Debt where his previous statements based on The Central Bank of Egypt,
Cairo contradicts his final assessment of the sum.
The writers of each section always tend to agree with the sources that they have cited. With this
known, I was able to see that the writers in each chapter took into account the other writings of
scholars that wrote on similar topics. Because of the writers many sources, they are able to give an
unbiased look into the history of the Egyptian Government. They examine both the positive and
negative aspects of Mubarak as President specifically laws he passes and actions he takes towards not
only Egyptians, but also the Arab Israeli relationship, as well as foreign relations with Arab countries
and the western world. Charles Tripp goes into detail about the

The mead hall was a major factor in the Anglo Saxon culture. As the two tribes, Angles and Saxons

Gold is represented and displayed in Beowulf on the skin of Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the
dragon. It is also incorporated in the treasures. The dragon guards it his entire life, and it is the mission
of many, including Beowulf to slay the dragon to get the treasures he is protecting. The moments

his arm, Beowulf hung the arm to show and display in Heorot Hall; the sword was his weapon that he
took to try to defeat Grendel s mother. Grendel s arm showed his bravery and loyalty to his lord and

Gipoli And The Anzac Myth
Australia was founded on the notion of Terra Nullius meaning no man s land by British settlers thus,
with Australia being quite a new country, there isn t much history that it may hold onto and to a great
extent it doesn not have a national identity except for the ANZAC myth. To begin to understand why it
is that the ANZAC myth continues to resonate in Australia so strongly one must understand its
foundations. Australia in 1915 was a fairly new country, it became a federation on the 1st of January

Turing Red Flag By Toby Walsh
Toby Walsh addresses a number of concerns that many will overlook when it comes to technological
advancements such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). I am sure there will be many who will be too
fascinated by an AI inhibiting human behavior to worry about the consequences. As some may argue,
we re just not at that point yet for many to care. However, as we get closer I do believe that the Turing
Red Flag would benefit society as whole but not for all the reasons Walsh discusses. First, I agree that
self driven vehicles should clearly be identifiable to human drivers. It could serve for a number of
purposes, similar to how student drivers are identifiable on the road. For instance, seeing a student
driver may influence other drivers to be more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It makes sense considering how we currently do not have anything in place to safeguard us from
issues that may arise in the future. I feel like it s a step in the right direction but it depends on how
deep the law wants to go in regulating the use of AI. The basic concept of the law seems fine, though.
For example, going back to autonomous cars and how they should be identifiable to human drivers, it
should be something subtle like what Walsh said, a distinct license plate. It definitely should not have
a flashing green light placed on top of the vehicle. Imagine a world of self driving cars all with
flashing green lights. It s not only intrusive but it s also very distracting. If we had AI blatantly
impersonating a celebrity, such as commentating the World Cup as Messi, we wouldn t it periodically
inform us that he s a bot because as mentioned earlier, it would take away from the experience. It
might create a new social norm where humans will themselves pretend to be AI and who knows what
issues (if any) that will bring. In addition to requiring AI to properly introduce themselves, it should
also indicate that it s collecting data. Thus, the basic concepts of the Turing Red Flag law should be
sustainable while carrying numerous benefits and minimal

The Rage Against The Machine
It was a time of long hair and stealth window escapes at the midnight hour; a time of skipping class,
anti establishment sentiment spewing forth from my foul, juvenile, remorseless mouth. I was mad at
the world on the grounds that I felt as though I had been dealt a lousy hand in this life. In my infinite
teenage wisdom, I had convinced myself if I could not everything my way, I would set the world
ablaze and watch it burn. Full of aggressive energy, anger was the emotion with which I chose to
express myself. Naturally, I found fuel for the fire in a band named Rage against the Machine. Front
man Zach de la Rocha put the emotions I was experiencing into a lyrical poetic, militant, rap core
metal form. It was unlike anything I had ever heard before: pure, intellectual, and most of all,
unfiltered. Initially, I was drawn to Rage because of their sound and musical talent, with their
unparalleled ability to blend various genres of music and produce something authentic in a world of
simulacra. On the other hand, I had little knowledge of events, names, and issues that this band was
bringing to my attention: real life sociological issues like economic inequality, political prisoners held
captive in our own country, brute force control, and the reality that freedom is a hoodwink illusion.
These are topics that I have evolved to feel passionately about and of which I wish others were more
conscious and aware. Subject matters that are so heinous that one does not actually desire or

and Elizabeth worked hard to establish their flock. The hard work that they put in soon began to pay
off for the Macarthurs and by 1803, their flock numbered over 4000 almost pure merinos. In 1807, the
first wool was sent to England by the Macarthurs.

Quality Of Project Quality Management
Quality in Project quality management
Project quality management ensures that the quality of the project is up to the quantified standard
defined by the company.
It was suggested by (Gomes et al, 2005) that as a result of similar management techniques in
efficiently operating companies globally it can be concluded that the most successful companies focus
on maximizing customer s satisfaction.
The various methods important for understanding objectives of project quality management are ISO,
PMBOK, AGILE, PRINCE2, Six Sigma and many others. Six Sigma was developed by Motorola
Bisgaard (2007) suggests that Six Sigma has basic five phases, which includes defining, measuring,
analyzing, improving and controlling.
As suggested by ISO (2003), international standards constitutes of eight management principles:
 Customer Importance
 Leadership
 Involvement of people
 Process tactic
 System tactic to management
 Continual improvement
 Precise approach to decision making
 Mutually beneficial supplier affairs
ISO (2003) further suggests that project procedures that come under the quality management system
should be managed in order to achieve the purposes of the project. Moreover, the objectives of the
project and the goals related to the products should always consider customer satisfaction as their
priority.

The village was named that because the hills that the village were built on, it was inhabited with wild wolves and the people had to be careful where they went. A family was going down there to visit their relatives including Bryan and his nephew Miguel. They were very excited since it was their first time visiting Mexico, but it all changed once they got closer to the small village which was filled with dirty streets and homeless families begging for food. The sad scenery looked like something you would see only on T.V, but it was worse and the saddest thing he had seen. They finally arrived in the state of Guanajuato where the village was at. They ... Miguel had never minded any of the people in the village had always believed the story ever since they were a young child, but there showed no evidence of this so called Witch . old lady on the corner of Babylan St. because he always knew it was just a folktale,so they wouldn t go into a stranger s house. Many of the old people in the village had claimed they had been marked by the witch when they were little while sleeping in their very own homes including Bryan s Grandma Mrs. Ojeda. The family was enjoying their first chilly night under the stars that were clearly visible unlike how they were back home. It was a perfect time for Bryan and his nephew to ask their grandmother to tell them the story of the witch on the corner of Babylan St. that was just 4 houses away. Bryan finally broke the silence of the night by telling his grandma, Grandma can you tell us the story of the witch on the corner of the street? Bryans Grandma had agreed but told us not to tell their parents she had told them the story. She said, The rumors began when a family had moved into the house a week before Christmas. Time had passed and the day was Christmas Eve and as traditions went, they would blow fireworks starting at midnight and burn the dummies they had made of hay and fireworks with old clothes they saved all year. • 3. The Importance Of Lightweight Location Verification... A ubiquitous motion tracking system using sensors in a personal health device, a ubiquitous motion tracking system that tracks sporting equipment using the sensors installed in an activity monitor was proposed and constructed. The activity monitor with the tracking sensors could be attached to places on the body or on sports equipment to calculate the speed and acceleration of these objects. (A.Perrig, et.al 2001) The below flow diagram shows how that Lightweight location verification algorithm work, in the first level, the data owner collect the basic information of the network. The content of the information about the packet and the time of sending and receiving the information is stored in the basic information layer. The third layer is packet formatting which have the details of the data. In wireless network, the data are sent through packets so the packets content the information in a header which contents the information of the source and the destination information and the parole represent the data here. Packet generation the fourth layer gathers all the collected information and also may content many useful data for the host source, after that there are two types of verification, one is on spot, other is in region. In on spot verification the sensor hold the data and checks the packet is on place whether the data owner placed it. However, if the spot is changed then the measurement detail will send to the host node. In the in region verification, it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Evaluation Of Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results Evaluation of Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results by Joanne Lipman is a well supported article. Mrs. Lipman gives good insight to tough teachers getting good results from their students by using her experience with her music teacher Mr. Kupchynsky. She provides many references to case studies performed on students in classrooms by doctors and graduate students to support her point. Mrs. Lipman explains that her Mr. Kupchynsky was a strict teacher, but because of his strictness when he passed away all of his past students that came to pay their respects were all successful people in life some were doctors and lawyers. Mrs. Lipman then continues to use her personal story to explain some of the conceptions of present day educators and how they are false. She uses eleven ways to prove that today s educational system as become soft on present day children. The fear, of course, is that failure will traumatize our kids, sapping their self esteem. Wrong again. A 2006 study, a Bowling Green State University graduate student followed 31 Ohio band students who were required to audition for placement and found that even students who placed lowest did not decrease in their motivation and self esteem in the long term. The study concluded that educators need not be as concerned about the negative effects of picking winners and losers (Lipman). I really enjoyed reading this article, it really did open my eyes to how the world of education has changed but the old ways of teaching ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. John Vogel s Thinking Outside The Housing Bubble As we now know, the U.S. economy, the middle class, and its job growth was damaged by the overwhelming collapse of Wall Street, which was triggered by the downfall of the housing market and sub prime loan defaults. One of the main things that need to be addressed in our economy today is the housing market and making sure that our banks and credit unions are not allowing people who do not have the necessary income to pay their mortgage disbursements. In an article entitled Thinking outside the Housing Bubble, the author John Vogel remarks how the economy is generally supported by the housing market. Vogel states: On the other hand, if we view the problem as a credit bubble, we might be able to protect ourselves and speed up the recovery ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Federal Government needs to make sure to enforce strict guidelines on who can and cannot be accepted for a home loan, and not allow big investors to borrow excessive money at low interest rates to inflate the investor s financial advantage. If the government starts allowing lower standards on mortgages, we are going to end up in the same catastrophe once again. In an article written by U.S. News and World Reports entitled Should the Federal Government Provide Support to the Mortgage Market?, the Federal government and the President attempted to get involved with the housing market. The passage implicated that Obama wanted to do away with federally funded conglomerates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and implement another type of government assisted program ( Should the Federal Government ). The program would prevent the mistakes made by Fannie and Freddie which created the original housing bubble burst ( Should the Federal Government ). • 6. In the modern age where business is spread globally the... In the modern age where business is spread globally the challenges in front of an organization are highly complex as the competition intensifies. Due to the complexity in the organizational management the older system methodology seems to become less relevant and sparingly less useful in these situations. These issues led to the introduction of complexity paradigm (Amagoh, 2008). Complexity theory was derived from the chaos and systems theory to show how a system is not confined in its boundaries and the growth or fall of an organization or a system depends upon how it is able to adapt and change to various situations. Complexity in an organization can be defined as the heterogeneity or diversity in the internal environment factors like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the general systems theory stating that the organizations strive to achieve equilibrium complexity theory states that the equilibrium state would mean the death of an organization. The very essence of life is to change and transform according to the need of the moment like Samsung took into Smartphone market with vigor transforming them into the technology giants they are at the moment. Another difference between the General system theory and the complexity theory is the boundary. While in the case of general system theory a fixed boundary is defined for each system there is no fixed boundary as explained in the complexity theory. The boundaries keep changing along continually. As per complexity theory a bounded instability state between rigidity and chaos is the perfect building block for growth and creativity in a team (The Complexity Advantage, Kelly and Alison). There are two principle ideas which the complexity theory works on. The first is based on the structure of an organization with a trade of between the efficiency and flexibility of an organizational structure. This addresses that a system should be partially connected rather than a completely coupled or decoupled system (Kauffman, 1995; Langton, 1990; Gell Mann, 1994a). • 7. Global Almond Market Vs. California Part #1 GLOBAL ALMOND MARKET vs. CALIFORNIA S WATER DROUGHT California Almonds are crunchy, delicious, and healthy and currently are becoming one of the world s favorite snacks. Almonds are currently consumed about 1000% more than they did a decade ago by people from around the world and became the most exported crop in the nation s top agriculture state (While California FightsDrought, Almonds Using More Water Than Residents, 3). In addition, almonds are tremendously profitable, generating approximately $11 billion to the state s economy in 2014 alone (Philpott, T., Lurie J., 3). However, the huge success of almonds results a water crisis in California. The issue of drought in California has continued to worsen since 2011 and one of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to a youtube video from Tandrea, Tree T Pee is proven to save water from 10,000 gallons annually per tree to only using 800 gallons annually per tree. Also, it saves 300% 600% fuel costs, fertilizers, and herbicides and help grows young trees faster. The secret of this containment system is forcing the water to focus around a 24 inch diameter and keep the soil moist rather than sprinkling water in a 10 foot diameter, wasting most of the water (Tandrea, December 2014). Hence, from my calculation, instead of consuming 1.07 trillion gallons of water annually in California for almond, farmers could only use 85.6 billion gallons of water annually in California and also have the benefit of saving fuel costs, fertilizers, and herbicides. Moreover, engagement of stakeholders is needed to make this solution go smoothly and achieve success of preventing the drought issue in California to continue. The master plan is to have all farmers in California to use Tree T Pee to all of their plantations to reduce water usage and alleviate the issue of drought. In order for this plan to be a reality, several stakeholders need to work together and engage with each other, which include the government, the farmers, and the environmentalist. I would start by interacting with several farmers in California directly by going to their farm and conduct an interview regarding the best way to limit the water usage and ... Filial Piety In Confucianism In Ancient China Filial Piety in Confucianism A famous Chinese saying asks, if one does not have piety towards one s own parents, then how can one be loyal towards one s friends, country, or any other? In ancient China Confucius taught filial piety as, the reverent respect of children toward their parents. (Ebrey, Cambridge Illustrated History, p. 43) Confucius taught that duty to one s parents is an integral part of society because it fit into the larger ethical system that he believed in. As the saying says, how can one is not loyal to ones parents, how can they be loyal to anything else. • 9. Hundred Year s War Research Paper Research Paper Rough Draft One of the world s most important wars happened in medieval time, known as the Hundred Year s war. The Hundred Year s war was a war between England and France, which started as a conflict between kings. The war also brought many changes to fighting tactics, religion, and government. The Hundred Year s war, which started off as a conflict to become king, had major turning points and battles which helped bring change to the world. The Hundred Year s war was caused by a conflict that started with king Charles IV and the fight to become king. King Charles IV had no heir to the throne as a result of having no male children. King Edward III of England believed he should be king, while the French believed that King Charles IV s cousin Philip IV should be king. Edward stated that he was the closest heir, due to the fact his mother is the sister of King Charles IV. This instance can be shown between A Narrative of the Captivity and Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson by Mary Rowlandson herself and Our Nig by Harriet E. Wilson. The stories depict the great suffering of two individuals who express similar qualities in their writings; the qualities being that each piece is a captivity narrative, there is a struggle with faith, and a silenced sexual subtext. The first piece by Rowlandson tells the story of a white Puritan woman. She is captured by Native Americans, and goes through many hardships as she is held against her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second similarity between the two pieces is seen with their struggles with faith. Rowlandson starts off in the beginning of her narrative already a Puritan follower. Her plight through captivity, she says, only strengthened her faith. Many say her narrative to be a religious allegory, telling the tale of her captivity on the surface, but further looking to the deeper journey of faith that she endures. The entire narrative shows Rowlandson s religious journey, and even while looking at the twenty removes that take place, one can see that each of these removes represent the stages of her spiritual journey. Jordan Stein argues in the Historiography of Sexuality that Rowlandson, suggests that her experience displays God s truth rather than her own (483). This other major point seen in her work shows she believes her capture to have been a test of her faith by God himself. In terms of a strengthened faith that is not exactly what is found by Frado in Wilson s Our Nig. Frado starts off as having no real religious beliefs. At the Bellmonts house she soon befriends Aunt Abby and the Bellmonts son, James, who both have strong religious backgrounds. Throughout the story, both characters hope for a conversion in Frado and push with her to attend church, religious meetings, and to teach her the Bible. Co 60 is a synthetically produced radioisotope with a half life of 5.27 years (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2014). It decays through beta particles and gamma radiation (CDC, 2005). Cobalt 60 decays into stable isotope, Nickel 60 through beta minus decay (radioactivity.eu.com, n.d.). SAFETY ISSUES Cobalt 60 can be very dangerous to human health. If ingested or inhaled, the majority of co 60 is excreted in the feces and the rest is absorbed into the blood and tissues, mainly the liver, kidneys and bones (CDC, 2014; United States Environmental Protection Agency [EPA], 2015). As co 60 is involved in ionising radiation, all co 60 that is absorbed by liver, kidneys or bone tissue can cause cancer and because it decays by gamma radiation, this results in an increased risk of cancer in comparison to other radioisotopes along with skin burns, acute radiation sickness, or death. This was created 6 years after the Western nations created NATO in 1949. This treaty was a treaty of friendship, cooperation, and mutual assistance ( APPENDIX C: THE WARSAW PACT Soviet Union ). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though sturdiness is a major advantage, a significant drawback to building a suspension bridge is the costs. Steel is an expensive material to construct long, massive suspension bridges out of. Our bridge will have to span a long distance of 4,200 feet and constructing a bridge of steel for such a great distance will definitely be pricey. The costs of building a suspension bridge is very high and they tend to be the most expensive type of bridge to build. In addition, over time, steal is a material that can deteriorate quickly due to corrosion as stated by the Understanding Bridges video. Proper inspections need to be conducted often to ensure the safety of the passengers traveling on the bridge. When building the bridge, weather conditions are a major factor to take into consideration. For example, when it is windy, a suspension bridge will sway from side to side or even bounce up and down, making transportation dangerous for those traveling on the bridge. The Tacoma Narrows Bridge is a very good example of this type of structural failure. It was built to withstand winds up to 120 mph but it collapsed in a wind of only 42 mph after oscillating back and forth repeatedly. I feel like it s a step in the right direction but it depends on how deep the law wants to go in regulating the use of AI. The basic concept of the law seems fine, though. For example, going back to autonomous cars and how they should be identifiable to human drivers, it should be something subtle like what Walsh said, a distinct license plate. It definitely should not have a flashing green light placed on top of the vehicle. Imagine a world of self driving cars all with flashing green lights. It s not only intrusive but it s also very distracting. If we had AI blatantly impersonating a celebrity, such as commentating the World Cup as Messi, we wouldn t it periodically inform us that he s a bot because as mentioned earlier, it would take away from the experience. It might create a new social norm where humans will themselves pretend to be AI and who knows what issues (if any) that will bring. In addition to requiring AI to properly introduce themselves, it should also indicate that it s collecting data. Thus, the basic concepts of the Turing Red Flag law should be sustainable while carrying numerous benefits and minimal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. The Rage Against The Machine It was a time of long hair and stealth window escapes at the midnight hour; a time of skipping class, anti establishment sentiment spewing forth from my foul, juvenile, remorseless mouth. I was mad at the world on the grounds that I felt as though I had been dealt a lousy hand in this life. In my infinite teenage wisdom, I had convinced myself if I could not everything my way, I would set the world ablaze and watch it burn. Full of aggressive energy, anger was the emotion with which I chose to express myself. Naturally, I found fuel for the fire in a band named Rage against the Machine. Front man Zach de la Rocha put the emotions I was experiencing into a lyrical poetic, militant, rap core metal form. It was unlike anything I had ever heard before: pure, intellectual, and most of all, unfiltered. Initially, I was drawn to Rage because of their sound and musical talent, with their unparalleled ability to blend various genres of music and produce something authentic in a world of simulacra. On the other hand, I had little knowledge of events, names, and issues that this band was bringing to my attention: real life sociological issues like economic inequality, political prisoners held captive in our own country, brute force control, and the reality that freedom is a hoodwink illusion. These are topics that I have evolved to feel passionately about and of which I wish others were more conscious and aware. Subject matters that are so heinous that one does not actually desire or ... The hard work that they put in soon began to pay off for the Macarthurs and by 1803, their flock numbered over 4000 almost pure merinos. • 33. Maccabees Research Paper The Jewish People in the Land of Israel are in the midst of a very difficult period. A war is raging all around us, as the Arab population turns against us with stones, knives and bullets. Despite the terror all around us, Israelis are continuing to walk the streets and the malls and shops are busy, but the price for a can of pepper spray has more than tripled from 60 NIS to 200 NIS. Jews are ready to defend themselves and will take no chances. Jews across the country are flocking to seek gun licenses, because during stabbing and rock attacks, it is the average citizen that must act as the first response team. We cannot allow the murderers to be granted any form of legitimacy or understanding on the world scene. We must declare in a loud and clear voice that this stabbing war is just another attempt to undermine Jewish sovereignty and rule throughout the land of Israel. We must declare that there are no settlements, but only Jewish communities reborn on their ancient soil. We must state clearly that the Temple Mount is the holiest Jewish site in the world and that Muslim attempts to harm Jewish worshipers will not succeed. We must take this time to broaden the Lev HaOlam movement, and so I ask each and every one of you to take part in this great task. Before I watched my fair lady , I didn t know anything about the movie, so I expected Eliza is a pretty and cultured woman. But Eliza was just countrified flower woman.
