Exceptions in java contains info about checked unchecked exceptions also methods for handling them. it also contains info about keywords like throw throws catch finally etc.
Java - Exceptions. An exception (or exceptional event) is a problem that arises during the execution of a program. When an Exception occurs the normal flow of the program is disrupted and the program/Application terminates abnormally, which is not recommended, therefore, these exceptions are to be handled.
This seminar will make you familiar with the exception handling concepts in .Net. Anyone who has been working on any of the .net languages or has just started can join in to learn more here.

The Intel 8086 microprocessor, designed by Intel in the late 1970s, is an 8-bit/16-bit microprocessor and the first member of the x86 family of microprocessors1. Here’s a brief overview of its internal architecture:
Complex Instruction Set Computer (CISC) Architecture: The 8086 microprocessor is based on a CISC architecture, which supports a wide range of instructions, many of which can perform multiple operations in a single instruction1.
Bus Interface Unit (BIU): The BIU is responsible for fetching instructions from memory and decoding them, while also managing data transfer between the microprocessor and memory or I/O devices1.
Execution Unit (EU): The EU executes the instructions1.
Memory Segmentation: The 8086 microprocessor has a segmented memory architecture, which means that memory is divided into segments that are addressed using both a segment register and an offset1.
Registers: The 8086 microprocessor has a rich set of registers, including general-purpose registers, segment registers, and special registers

Dictionary Meaning: Exception is an abnormal condition.
Exception is an unwanted or unexpected event, which occurs during the execution of a program, i.e. at run time, that disrupts the normal flow of the program’s instructions.
Exceptions can be caught and handled by the program.
When an exception occurs within a method, it creates an object. This object is called the exception object. It contains information about the exception, such as the name and description of the exception and the state of the program when the exception occurred.
Errors represent irrecoverable conditions such as Java virtual machine (JVM) running out of memory, memory leaks, stack overflow errors, library incompatibility, infinite recursion, etc. Errors are usually beyond the control of the programmer, and we should not try to handle errors.
Error: An Error indicates a serious problem that a reasonable application should not try to catch.
Exception: Exception indicates conditions that a reasonable application might try to catch.
An exception is a problem that arises during the time of execution of program. An exception can occur for many different reasons, including the following.
A user has enter invalid data.
A file that needs to be opened cannot be found.
A network connection has been lost in the middle of communicatons,or the JVM has run out of memory.
Some of these exception are caused by user error, others by programmer error, and others by physical resources, that have failed in some manner.
Exception is an error event that can happen during the execution of a program and disrupts its normal flow. Java provides a robust and object oriented way to handle exception scenarios, known as Java Exception Handling.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. An exception is an abnormal condition that arises in a
code sequence at run time.
It is a run-time error that terminates the execution of a
program.
Exception gives us another opportunity to recover from
the abnormality by taking corrective actions.
Some common exceptions are :-
• arithmeticexceptions( e.g. division by zero)
• arrayindexoutofboundsexception (e.g. index out of
bounds)
• filenotfoundexception (e.g. file to be open not found)
3. Exception handling is the process of taking corrective actions by which
flow of program can be maintained.
A java exception is an object that describes an exceptional
condition that has occurred in a code.
The exception is caught and processed.
Java exceptional handling is managed via five keywords: try,
catch, throw, throws and finally.
E.g.- class Exc0{
Public static void main(string args[]) {
Int d=0;
Int a=42/d;
}}
java.lang.arithmeticexception: / by zero
At Exc0.main(Exc0’java:4)
5. Checked Exceptions
Checked exceptions are those exceptions that are checked at
compile time. If some code within a method throws a checked
exception, then the method must either handle the exception or it
must specify the exception using throws keyword.
Checked Exceptions are:-
• All user defined exceptions
• SQL exceptions
6. Unchecked Exceptions
Exceptions which are not checked for during compile time are
called unchecked exception. It means if your program is throwing
an unchecked exception and even if you didn’t handle/declare
that exception, the program won’t give a compilation error.
Some Unchecked Exceptions are:-
• NullPointer Exception
• Arrayindexoutofbiunds Exceptions
7. The try block contains a block of program statements within which an
exception might occur. To guard against and handle a run-time error,
simply enclose the code that you want to monitor inside a try block. A try
block is always followed by a catch block, which handles the exception that
occurs in associated try block. A try block must followed by a Catch block
or Finally block or both.
Syntax: try
{
//statements that may cause an exception
}
catch (exception(type) e(object))
{
//error handling code
}
8. Class Exc2{
public static void main(string args[])
{ int d, a;
try{//monitor a block of code
d = 0;
a = 42/d;
system.out.println(“this will not be prined”);
} catch (ArithmeticException e){ //catch divided-by-zero error
system.out.println(“Division by zero”);
}
system.out.println(“after catch statement.”);
}
}
OUTPUT:-
Division by zero
After catch statement
9. In some cases, more than one exception could be raised by a single piece of code.
To handle this type of situation, we can specify two or more catch clauses, each
catching a different type of exception. When an exception is thrown, each catch
statement is inspected in order, and the first one whose type matches that of the
exception is executed. After one catch statement executes, the others are
skipped, and execution continues after the try/catch block.
11. The try block within a try block is known as nested try block. Sometimes a
situation may arise where a part of a block may cause one error and the entire
block itself may cause another error. In such cases, exception handlers have to
be nested. If no catch block matches, then the java run-time system will handle the
exception.
