Vote On The Law
In the United States laws are first introduced by a single or multiple U.S. House Representatives. Once
the law is discussed and has been passed through specific committees the law will be debated in the
full House. A series of debates will be had on the law and if voted on the law will be amended or will
stay the same. Once the debate on the law is over, the House will take a vote, if simple majority votes
for the law then the law will move onto the Senate. The Senate will go through a similar process in
which the law will go through the proper committees and if released then the Senate will debate the
law. Once the Senate has finished debating the law and a final vote is ready all that is needed to move
the law along is another simple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When it comes to going to court you will have two different systems in which your case will be heard,
Civil case or a Criminal case. A civil case will be brought by individuals or busisnesses who are
seeking a monetary payment or a certain amount of money. A criminal case will be brought by the
government and the outcome will be probation, fine, or jail time.
When there is a disagreement between state laws and federal laws a clause in the constitution called
the Supremecy Clause will take over and inside the supremacey clause there is what s called the
doctrine of pre emption. If a state passes a law that contridicts what a federal law states then the
federal law will always prevail. There are a few examples of this happening recently with the
legalization of cannibis and gay marriage. Although a state has passed a law stating that cannibis is
legal in that particular state if the federal government wanted to come and stop the citizens from
possessing cannibis then they would be within their rights since it is against federal law to posses
cannibis (Lawson, 2017). Most environmental laws are federal laws because most of the agencies that
are tasked with protecting the environment are federal agencies.
The Fourth Amendment of The United States Constitution covers citizens right to be secure in their
persons and be free from unreasonable search and seizures. Companies in certain industries are more

Disadvantages Of Incremental Budgeting
Incremental budget
Incremental budgeting is a process that is mainly concerned with the incremental (or marginal)
adjustments to the current budgeted allowance. This method can be used by Excellent Year Ltd if they
are not having any major changes compared to the previous year.
Advantages of incremental budgeting
Incremental budgeting is easily understood (as it is retrospective), makes marginal changes and
secures agreement through negotiation. It is administratively straightforward (and therefore cheap)
and allows policy makers to concentrate of the key areas of change. Incremental budgeting is
particularly useful where outputs are difficult to define/quantify; and it is stable and, therefore,
changes are gradual.
Disadvantages of incremental budgeting

It is then possible to see the department s performance in the capacity levels. As long as the company
doesn t go over full capacity, fixed cost will not fluctuate. Using flexible budgeting is possible when
the product demand varies.
Flexible budgets separate the fixed and variable costs, which then allows for budgets to be set
automatically to an activity level. Thus, variances between actual costs and budgeted costs are set for
volume fluctuations before differences due to price and quantity factors are computed. At first, flexible
budgets are used to accurately measure performance because they compare actual costs for a given
output with the budgeted costs for the same level of output. The bad thing of a flexible budget is that,
by not allowing the manager to insert set figures, it is also difficult to estimate. Instead of looking at
an estimate of what to expect financially, the manager is left looking at a range of estimates. Excellent
Year Ltd should adopt fixed budgets when its demand is

Relational Database Systems And Relational Databases
Relational Database Systems
The idea of relational database was first introduced by E.F.Codd at IBM in 1970. It is a kind of
computer database in which data is stored in Relations and is represented in the form of tables with
rows and columns. Databases can vary in sizes, ranging from very small and simple to very large and
complex ones. Database users can access the data practically in an unlimited number of ways.
Relational databases help in finding the information in a quick and efficient manner that one is
looking for.Today many popular databases use the model of relational database.
The invention of relational databases have brought a number of changes to the business world in
which they operate specially for the businesses whose prime focus is on its customers, their likes and
dislikes to win more market share. There is no such concept as one size fits all in using this
technology, it varies from industry to industry. One thing may work for some businesses and may not
work for others, therefore it is advisable that one should shop around before investing in any of the
technologies because it is vital to find an industry specific solution. One technique to narrow the
search for industry specific solutions is to find out what our competitors are using to gain more
customer base.
When it comes to customers, the use of relational database management systems can help in linking
various features of business electronically, like connecting a customer with specific product

Moral Of Antigone
The play begins as Antigone and her sister Ismene speak of the death of their brothers Polyneices and
Eteocles. However, it is important to note that what events precluded this scene, which was sparked by
Eteocles s taking reign of the Thebes after Oedipus had died. It ultimately caused Polyneices to wage a
battle against his former city and drove the two brothers to kill one another (Sophocles 8). Thus,
leaving Creon who was both of brother s uncle in control of the city of Thebes. Antigone and Ismene
discuss the proclamation newly put forth by Creon which was due to the fact that Polyneices
committed treason against Thebes he would not be granted a burial, thus foregoing the Unwritten Law
protecting the rights of the dead (Sophocles 9). It was this decree that provoked Antigone to opposed
Creon as she decides to bury Polyneices herself and she attempts to recruit Ismene to help her with
this action, however, Ismene tried to persuade Antigone not to go through with the burial.
As the play progresses it comes to Creon s attention by one of the guards that Polynieces body has
been buried and eventually the guard determined it was Antigone and brings her in front of Creon.

Therefore, it is important to analyze the main characters from the story and determine, specifically,
what characteristics came to comprise each of them. To begin we shall consider the role of Ismene
who was more concerned with respecting the law and doing what she was told by the authority in
power. For she was fearful of the repercussions the that would be inflicted upon her if she disobeyed
the law rejecting Polyneices burial. She let fear take control and ultimately affect the relationship she

Healthy, Muscle, And Morally Obstacles
In boy scouts of America or BSA we say the scout oath and in the end of it we say a scout is
physically strong mentally awake and morally straight. I think this applies to more than just a scout. In
this report I will explain what it means and how to be physically strong, mentally awake, and morally
straight. This brings me to my thesis a healthy person is physically strong, mentally awake, and
morally straight.
A healthy person is physically strong. In scoutmaster.org it says Take care of your body so that it will
serve you well for an entire lifetime. That means eating nutritious foods, getting enough sleep, and
exercising regularly to build strength and endurance. It also means avoiding harmful drugs, alcohol,
tobacco, and anything else that can harm your health. This means that anything that can make your
body not work for you is not good for you. By keeping your body strong and healthy for an entire
lifetime you can be one step closer to being a healthy person. ... Show more content on

Being mentally awake is about your education and mental awareness. Scoutmaster.org says Develop
your mind both in the classroom and outside of school. Be curious about everything around you, and

questions, you can learn much about the exciting world around you and your role in it. By doing this
you will always keep learning new things. Henry ford said Anyone who stops learning is old. If you

Our Time Is Now Analysis
Colton Dixon is perhaps best known as the Mohawk styled Tennessee local who appeared on
American Idol Season 11. His first album A Messenger was the No. 1 selling album by a new
Christian Artist in 2013, and his distinct tones and look have marked him as one of the best up and
coming Christian artists in the genre. Opening with the sounds of an S.O.S. call, Dixon ushers in an
intensity that thrusts the album into a rock infused tale about the purpose of life. Synth, electro and
voice over push for a crossover into Our Time Is Now, and the fast pace of a rock tune rich in electric
guitar and a booming drum will get your heart racing. Saying, Now let the old die, cause there is new
life, forever starts from now, this song, which in essence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pop infused with Dixon s trademark intensity, I admire the delivery of this song because it goes
beyond what is expected. As a CCM release it ticks all the boxes: the lyrics are truthful, the melody is
catchy, and Christians flock to it. But beyond this, it is a powerful song that escalates to an anthem
that prompts people to step into a moment of worship and true surrender. With a melody that will stick
in your head and innately make you feel good for singing along, this was an obvious choice for a
single. Stepping into Loud And Clear, sharp rock tones are delivered through the electric guitar, and an
authoritative voice similar in style to Evermore s Truth of the World, clears the space for Dixon to
command a compelling song. There is a purity and strength to Colton s voice, which enables him to
deliver this song with authority and conviction. Less capable singers would quickly become lost in the
intensity of the instrumental, but we find Dixon coexists with this neatly and drives home the message

Yeats Use of Symbolism in Leda and the Swan and the...
W. B. Yeats, a somewhat eclectic poet, explores, throughout his work, a wide range of themes and
ideas. He reflects on his nation s politics, Irish mysticism, the afterlife, love, and his own past. While
each set of his poems share many recurring images, however, it is Yeats examination and opinions of
the gyres of time and history that crop up in all forms of his poetry. While references to this great
spiraling metaphor for the fabric of the universe can be found in some of Yeats most famous works,
such as Sailing to Byzantium , Long legged Fly and Easter 1916 , to name just a few, it is an aspect of
his poetry which is relevant to almost all of his writing. However, it is in Yeats apocalyptic poems,

The creature described is, of course, the form of the ancient Egyptian sphinx. This metaphor is far
stronger than the one of the falcon, as the great beast begins moving it s slow thighs . The creature
represents an antichrist, a further image of this destruction of man. The blank and pitiless gaze it gives
emphasizes its lack of human emotion, and the brutal nature of its task. The, all of a sudden, darkness
drops , and the vision is over. Reflecting on what he saw, Yeats talks of the nightmare to come, and
that for the rough beast, its hour come round at last .
Overall, the poem sets out clearly what Yeats truly believes as the future for mankind. The structure is
also worthy of note. Usually, Yeats stuck strongly to established rhyme schemes and stanza structures,
however, in this poem he choses not to. While stanza one 8 lines, the second is 14, and this
emphasizes to some extent the lack of clarity in Yeats vision, as his description what he saw flows out
of him almost uncontrollably. Also, the lack of rhyme scheme indicates once more the havoc and
ruggedness of events to come, although word repetition does connote a feeling of the slowly turning
gyre, turning round and round endlessly.
The second of the two poems, Leda and the Swan , takes us back to the first era of destruction, cruelty
and war, before the epoch of Christianity. It tells the mythical tale of Leda being

Division Of Labor In Emile Durkheim, Adam Smith And Karl Marx
The division of labor is the process through which community members perform specialized types of
work with a common objective. This has received significant theoretical discussions based on social
thoughts from the theories of Emile Durkheim, Adam Smith and Karl Marx. Throughout human
history, the division of labor has been present from the cultural perspective in its most essential form.
Division of labor was mainly based on gender such as the case of hunter gather societies. In this case,
while women gathered food and took care of their children, men hunted for game meat. This paper
will discuss several theorists developed to define the concept of division of labor.
According to Muldoon (2013), increasing levels of specialization also lead to lack of enthusiasm
among workers in addition to reduced overall skills in their work. This perspective was refined and
extended by Karl Marx who was a popular economic theorist. However, Karl Marx labeled this
process as alienation, where workers were turned to be more specific individuals coupled with work
repetitious eventually becoming completely alienated (Calhoun 2012). In fact, Marx indicated that
such division of labor among workers was physically and emotionally depressing and compared it to a
machine s condition. In this regard, he was guided by the firm belief that the fullness of production
was a prerequisite to the process of attaining liberation in human beings and accepted the notion of a
strict division of labor as a necessary evil that was only temporary.
However, the most important theoretical contribution that Marx made towards the concept of an
economy, was his sharp distinction between the economic or technical division and social division of
labor (Muldoon 2013). That indicated that some form of co operation in employment was as a result
of technical necessities. However, some evidence suggested that others resulted due to the functions of
social control that is related to the concepts of status and class hierarchy (Calhoun 2012). If
individuals conflated these two roles, it often appears as though the existing labor division is
technically immutable and inevitable as opposed to the notion of an influenced or constructed by
power relationships.

A Study By Brigham And Women s Hospital
A 2010 study by Brigham and Women s Hospital in Boston found that one in five teens suffer from a
hearing impairment, which is an increase of 33% from 1994 (Dignan). Earbuds and headphones have
contributed to these numbers since using these at loud volumes can damage ears over time. Earbuds
and headphones have caused loss of hearing, as a result, there should be a restriction on the highest
volume they can go.
To put this into perspective, hearing is an important function of the body, taking many components to
transfer the sound throughout the ear. There are three parts of an ear, the outer, middle, and inner ear.
The sound starts in the outer ear where it is heard, then transmitted through the auditory system
toward the eardrum. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many international health organizations say that this is the leading disability throughout the world and
much of it can be prevented, since many of the causes can be fixed by changing the person s approach
to it. For example, if someone is attending a concert, it would be a good idea to get earplugs according
to Susan Kaplan, an audiologist with the UC Davis health system (Meyer). However, not many people
do this and as a result, have substantial hearing loss. A symptom of hearing loss, tinnitus, is being seen

different noises in one or both ears or in the head, with no external cause. There are two types of
tinnitus, objective or subjective. Subjective is usually connected with hearing loss, since it means only
the person experiencing the problem can hear the sounds. There are many ways to test people to see if
they have tinnitus or some kind of hearing loss. A few ways are a physical examination of the person s
head and neck, The Rinne and Weber tests, magnetic resonance angiography or venography, or a

John Steinbeck’s The Chrysanthemums Essay
In John Steinbeck s The Chrysanthemums, the reader is introduced to the seemingly timid and shy
Elisa Allen. Elisa is routinely planting her yearly sets of Chrysanthemums, which appear to be the sole
receptor of her caring and gentle touch, but all the while it is evident that the chrysanthemum stems
seemed too small and easy for her energy. Her hidden eagerness seems not only out of place, but out
of touch with her dry and wilted surroundings, of which her husband, Henry, abruptly interrupts her

The Deconstruction Of Mentor Texts Essay
Each of the three cycles included one initial draft writing session, one elaborating ideas session and
one changing vocabulary session. Each of the inquiry cycles had a different authentic context and
topic focus and each session involved links to reading programme (Appendix ?). Although text
structure and topic knowledge was not an explicit focus of the intervention, it is recognised as an
essential foundation of expert writing. Therefore the deconstruction of mentor texts, analysis of text
structure and developing topic knowledge was built into the reading programme and the initial draft
writing sessions. The elaborating ideas session was focused on writing for an audience and ensuring
their writing provide their audience with appropriate, specific and depth of information. The changing
vocabulary sessions focused on identifying common words and replacing or adding synonyms that
were rarely used in their writing. Following each inquiry cycles one or two substantial changes were

Central Argument (3 5): The brainstorm machine is part of the intuition pump that has the possibility

H1B Visa Process: Everything You Need to Know
The H1B visa process, also referred to as a work visa to USA, is a means of bringing foreign born
professionals to the United States temporarily; this is one of the most used immigration processes due
to the many large companies operating worldwide. An individual cannot apply for such status on his
or her own. It is the employer s responsibility to file the H1B visa petition with the US Immigration
Department.
H1B Eligibility
The H1B visa is applicable to those working in a specialty occupation that requires specific
knowledge in that area. However, it is also applicable to all companies wishing to temporarily bring
certain higher level executives working in international offices to the U.S., usually to assist on a
project, or to help expand the department with the intent of eventually remaining with the company in
it s U.S. based location.
The individual must have a bachelor s degree or equivalent.
An interview must take place at a U.S. consulate or embassy office.
If the interview is successful, the individual will have the H1B visa stamped on his or her passport.
Advantages of H1B Status
There are many advantages of having an H1B visa, some of which includes the fact that someone can
work and live in the United States as an immigrant without having to worry about obtaining additional
green cards or going through other immigration proceedings. Further, the H1B process is a lot quicker

to someone, others will find fault in (Kasprowicz, about.com).
When all of the tracks of a project have been recorded, assembled, and edited onto the digital audio
workstation or tape deck, the next step would be to individually mix the elements of their work in their
final edited forms. The mix down process occurs by routing the various tracks of a digital audio
workstation or tape based recorder through a hardware virtual mixing console to alter the overall
session s program, all which include getting relative level, spatial positioning, using equalizers, and
effects. Once these measures are taken care of, the engineer can then set up a rough mix of the song by
adjusting levels and the spatial pan positions. The producer who is mostly provides feedback to the
artist and the engineer during the session, listens to the mix and may ask the engineer to make specific
changes such as amplitude adjustments. Instruments in their isolated tracks are often soloed for
equalized changes to be made. The usual compression and limiting can be used in the mixing process
to make individual tracks sound fuller and more consistent

My Experience And The Otpf
Considering my experience and the OTPF, I believe that all occupations are affected to an extent.
Depending on the person and the mental illness some areas of concern is, ADL s, IADL s, work,
leisure, social participations and sleep. The mental illness population will struggle with social
participation, withdrawing from their family, friends and their peers. They will experience difficulty
functioning at school or work, leading to them dropping out of school or losing their job, possibly due
to problems with memory and thinking. I think for some, if not most of the population they start
feeling disconnected from reality. I think other areas of concern are sleep, eating, and hygiene habits,
for example, they may struggle with gathering necessary supplies for bathing and washing their hair.
One of the things I witnessed at ETBH is the amount of clients admitted with drug or alcohol abuse,
which can lead to a continuous pattern because it makes them feel better and the symptoms dissipate
for a short time. Which can also lead to mood changes and thoughts of suicide. The mental illness
population can struggle in any one of these occupations or multiple areas, maybe due to a lack of
motivation or lack of structure in their everyday lives. People with mental illness struggle with how
they may think, feel, mood swings, and their behavior. It affects their ability to relate to others and
function in daily occupations. From what I have witnessed, what is important and has meaning to

Cultural Differences Between The Nisei And The Issei
In 1869, the first Japanese Immigrants arrived in California in an attempt to escape the Meiji
restoration, which forced them out of their houses. Many joined them in America after that, forming
the first generation of Japanese Americans, the Issei. Those immigrants then formed families and gave
birth to the second generation, the Nisei. However, the cultural differences between the Issei and the
Nisei, who were all born in America, created an important gap between the two generations. The short
story Seventeen Syllables , through the relation between Rosie, a Nisei young girl, and Tome Hayashi,
her mother, is a good depiction of this issue.
First of all, the lack of a common language between the Nisei and the Issei was the main problem in
their relations. Most the Nisei went to American schools where they learned everything in English.
The Issei, for their part, had learned Japanese as their first language. In Seventeen Syllables , Rosie
only has little knowledge in Japanese. Here, the author describes a bit more her level in that language:
It was about cats, and Rosie pretended to understand it thoroughly and appreciate it no end, partly
because she hesitated to disillusion her mother about the quantity and quality of Japanese she had
learned in all the years now that she had been going to Japanese school every Saturday (and
Wednesday, too, in the summer). (170) It reflects the delicate situation in which that ignorance put the

Man as a Puppet in the Hands of an Intolerant Society
Scapegoating. According to Urban Dictionary, a scapegoat is defined as, A person or person or object
that is used to lay the blame on for all that goes wrong, regardless of the contributions of others. This
will usually carry on until the scapegoat has gone, or has managed to successfully defend itself against
the arguments presented to it .The pointing out of a person as an accused or a sinner happens because
of the intolerance to any deviation from the society beliefs. This is seen in the play,The Crucible;

If I say I know something about the device, it ll be be I lied, I m screwed, but al least my family will
be safe. And I said, OK, the device is mine. (Higazy, A True Confession). The agent who threatened
him said that if he would not cooperate, his family would be in a lot trouble. Under so much intense
pressure he accepted to lie so that his family could be secure. But later on he was proved innocent as
the FBI realized that he was not the right man they wanted. In the play The Crucible, the main
emotion which led to loss of innocent lives was that of vengence. In this play, the illicit relationship
between Abigail and Proctor became the source of frustration for Abigail, as seen when she says, She
is blackening my name in the village! She is telling lies about me! She is a cold, sniveling woman, and
you bend to her! Let her turn you like a (Millar, 23). This frustration led to the emotion of vengeance
which was so evil that it consumed whoever came in it s path. In Death Penalty Disgrace, Davis was
put through a lot of emotional stress so much so that he was almost executed three times before being
punished finally for something for which he claimed he never did. In this case ,the emotion of
frustration played a big role as Davis could not get his due justice of being heard and the law makers
became divided on the way his case was being handled. One of the law officer, who had helped in

Economies Of Scale Essay
5.6 Economies of scale
Economies of scale are a Micro economics concept. Economies of scale give a cost benefit to an
organization that produces goods in a very large scale. The cost per unit decreases as the production/
sales increases. This is because a firm may incur certain fixed cost which when apportioned to large
units volume decreases the unit cost of a product. The Table below better illustrates the concept.
Let s take an example of cool drink manufacturer.
Table 5.4 Economies of scale

Role of economies of scale in business strategy and competitive advantage:
One of the main sources for a firm to attain cost leadership advantage is through economies of scale.
There are many chances for a manufacturing unit to bring down its cost through large scale
production. Cost can be reduced through maximum utilization of the plant, machinery and
warehouses. Standardized products can be manufactured in large scale to bring down the cost of a
product. Usually when a firm enters in large scale production they cut down on the variations to the
models and concentrates on standardizing the product and marketing it across the globe.
A firm gets significant advantage through economies of scale when it has multinational operations.
The firm can set up its manufacturing units in low cost center and distribute its products across its
market. Though the market for the company s products can be worldwide, all the products can be
manufactured in one or fewer units in the places where the company has maximum of location
advantage and distributed across the

Presidency Essay
Presidency
Although it is often said that the President of the United States holds the most powerful office in the
world, this does not mean that he is able to decide very much for himself. The American Constitution,
which was adapted in 1789, clearly states the Separation of Powers. Thus, the president makes up only
one third of the government, namely the executive branch. He is also controlled by a complex system
of checks and balances, which makes sure that he (or any of the other branches, for that matter) does
not become too powerful. We will now have a look at the different problems which may be facing a
recently elected president, and then discuss to what extent his powers are important.
The first and foremost problem is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Congress is of course often the most serious problem to a new president. It is after all the legislative
branch of government, and passes both ordinary and tax bills. Another important element worth
mentioning here, is the huge amount of lobbying which goes on in America. Private associations and
companies, that officially do not have any power, gain a lot of influence through the persuasion of
congressmen(and women) or/and senators. One example is the National Rifle Association (NRA),
which has so far succeeded in destroying any attempt to introduce gun control in America. Another
one is how the powerful insurance companies helped to kill President Clinton s welfare reform a
couple of years ago.
In the US system of checks and balances, the Supreme Court is also very powerful. They are able to
create a lot of trouble for the president if they want to, as they have the so called power of judicial
review. This means that they can declare any law or presidential act unconstitutional. The Supreme
Court Justices are appointed for life, and the president has therefore no means of controlling them,
unless they resign voluntarily or die. The balance between liberal and conservative justices here, is
therefore of course subject to a lot of interest, and the president has good reasons in maintaining a
harmonious relation to the Supreme Court.
In addition to the different branches of government, there is another aspect of

Flexibility Of The Constitution
The Constitution has lasted over 220 years due to the flexibility this document possesses as well as its
use of separating power. The Constitution demonstrates its flexibility through the ability to add
amendments as well as pass laws. Although passing laws is quicker than passing an amendment,
amendments have a greater sticking power in the long run. For instance, the 13th amendment which
abolished slavery throughout the United States was created and passed after the Constitution was
created, and was therefore added to the constitution. Therefore, policies in the Constitution are able to
be refined when new values emerge. Additionally, the Constitution has lasted a great amount of time
due to how it divides up power. The Constitution created

Reasons For The Articles Of Confederation
What were some of the reasons that the Articles of Confederation needed some revision? The Articles
of Confederation needed revisions for several reasons. The first reason being that the articles created a
weak government. Secondly, there were many weaknesses that were evident and required immediate
attention. The weaknesses that were the most important were that the government could not establish a
mandatory taxation, did not have control over commerce and the nation lacked overall unity. These
weaknesses lead states to reject the original articles because these problems could simply not be
overlooked. The need for a stronger government, as well as solutions to the weaknesses presented, led
to the constitutional convention in Philadelphia

The success of Big Hero 6 is due in large part to it offering something newer and better to its viewers
a fairy tale for boys (the emotional healing story of a boy and his bot) that challenges assumptions of
gender. For the first half of the movie, Hiro Hamada is very much in line with how boys should be. He
takes the initiative, he does not cry, he is emotionally distant, and is not in the business of making
friends. It isn t until he opens up to the other characters and receives help from the magical helper
Baymax, that all of the action starts and he finally just lets go. Baymax is the helper character that is
essential to the development of the hero. Baymax is the person who has special knowledge, special
information, and special skills. (Seger 337) At that point forward, it is clear to see that Big Hero 6
projects its difference in it being a fairy tale for boys. According to the commercials we should all
crave difference and be unique individuals like the iPhone and iPod commercials. We are all driven to
difference as Thomas Frank states. This is one the ways in which advertisers and manufacturers appeal
to consumers, by positioning the product as being different. A product can be the hero, Hiro Hamada,
a product that is all about gender. A fairy tale for a girl, a fairy tale about girls, is conformity. It holds
that the paramount ailment of our society is

Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Carlsbad Caverns National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is located in the state of New
Mexico, in the United States. It contains a show cave, the main feature. The cavern is a limestone
type, which was created by a reaction involving rainwater and hydrogen sulphide rich brine (salt
concentrated water). This created a corrosive sulphuric acid which carved the main chambers into
what they are today. The site has been elected and given UNESCO World Heritage status for two
reasons, or criteria. One of the reasons for the listing is its natural beauty, abundance and diversity of
structures in the caves. The stalactites in the caverns vary in size and height, with one, called the
Witch s Finger , reaching up to 6 metres in height. A cave called Bat Cave contains a colony ... Show

and the caverns. The reef can be studied and looked at from underground, in the caves. This allows
geologists and scientists to look at the reef s history and discover fossilised marine life. Lechuguilla
Cave, the fifth longest cave in the world, exists in the park. It was discovered in 1984, when miners
heard wind roaring from the cave. The cave contains antibiotic resistance bacteria, which developed
resistance over millions of years. However the bacteria cannot spread to humans, but is resistant to

Early Christian Religion Research Paper
The early Christian church made no distinction between sin and suffering, and repentance and healing.
(p. 34) The Scripture equates sickness with unclean spirits and demonic activity. Early Christians
understood the relationship between sin and sickness and acted accordingly (see James 5:14,15). Jesus
taught the disciples the relationship between sin and sickness. In the early church repentance and
healing went hand in hand. Unfortunately, in today s church the first call of a sick Christian is to their
doctor or hospital. We have turned to the secular world for a healing, which they cannot offer. Satan s
footprint is everywhere in the medical field. I am reminded of a Scripture, which says that man is
always searching for knowledge but never

  • 2. Vote On The Law In the United States laws are first introduced by a single or multiple U.S. House Representatives. Once the law is discussed and has been passed through specific committees the law will be debated in the full House. A series of debates will be had on the law and if voted on the law will be amended or will stay the same. Once the debate on the law is over, the House will take a vote, if simple majority votes for the law then the law will move onto the Senate. The Senate will go through a similar process in which the law will go through the proper committees and if released then the Senate will debate the law. When it comes to going to court you will have two different systems in which your case will be heard, Civil case or a Criminal case. A civil case will be brought by individuals or busisnesses who are seeking a monetary payment or a certain amount of money. A criminal case will be brought by the government and the outcome will be probation, fine, or jail time. When there is a disagreement between state laws and federal laws a clause in the constitution called the Supremecy Clause will take over and inside the supremacey clause there is what s called the doctrine of pre emption. If a state passes a law that contridicts what a federal law states then the federal law will always prevail. There are a few examples of this happening recently with the legalization of cannibis and gay marriage. Although a state has passed a law stating that cannibis is legal in that particular state if the federal government wanted to come and stop the citizens from possessing cannibis then they would be within their rights since it is against federal law to posses cannibis (Lawson, 2017). Most environmental laws are federal laws because most of the agencies that are tasked with protecting the environment are federal agencies. • 3. Disadvantages Of Incremental Budgeting Incremental budget Incremental budgeting is a process that is mainly concerned with the incremental (or marginal) adjustments to the current budgeted allowance. This method can be used by Excellent Year Ltd if they are not having any major changes compared to the previous year. Advantages of incremental budgeting Incremental budgeting is easily understood (as it is retrospective), makes marginal changes and secures agreement through negotiation. It is administratively straightforward (and therefore cheap) and allows policy makers to concentrate of the key areas of change. Incremental budgeting is particularly useful where outputs are difficult to define/quantify; and it is stable and, therefore, changes are gradual. As long as the company doesn t go over full capacity, fixed cost will not fluctuate. Using flexible budgeting is possible when the product demand varies. Flexible budgets separate the fixed and variable costs, which then allows for budgets to be set automatically to an activity level. Thus, variances between actual costs and budgeted costs are set for volume fluctuations before differences due to price and quantity factors are computed. At first, flexible budgets are used to accurately measure performance because they compare actual costs for a given output with the budgeted costs for the same level of output. The bad thing of a flexible budget is that, by not allowing the manager to insert set figures, it is also difficult to estimate. Instead of looking at an estimate of what to expect financially, the manager is left looking at a range of estimates. Excellent Year Ltd should adopt fixed budgets when its demand is ... • 4. Relational Database Systems And Relational Databases Relational Database Systems The idea of relational database was first introduced by E.F.Codd at IBM in 1970. It is a kind of computer database in which data is stored in Relations and is represented in the form of tables with rows and columns. Databases can vary in sizes, ranging from very small and simple to very large and complex ones. Database users can access the data practically in an unlimited number of ways. Relational databases help in finding the information in a quick and efficient manner that one is looking for.Today many popular databases use the model of relational database. The invention of relational databases have brought a number of changes to the business world in which they operate specially for the businesses whose prime focus is on its customers, their likes and dislikes to win more market share. There is no such concept as one size fits all in using this technology, it varies from industry to industry. One thing may work for some businesses and may not work for others, therefore it is advisable that one should shop around before investing in any of the technologies because it is vital to find an industry specific solution. One technique to narrow the search for industry specific solutions is to find out what our competitors are using to gain more customer base. When it comes to customers, the use of relational database management systems can help in linking various features of business electronically, like connecting a customer with specific product ... • 5. Moral Of Antigone The play begins as Antigone and her sister Ismene speak of the death of their brothers Polyneices and Eteocles. However, it is important to note that what events precluded this scene, which was sparked by Eteocles s taking reign of the Thebes after Oedipus had died. It ultimately caused Polyneices to wage a battle against his former city and drove the two brothers to kill one another (Sophocles 8). Thus, leaving Creon who was both of brother s uncle in control of the city of Thebes. Antigone and Ismene discuss the proclamation newly put forth by Creon which was due to the fact that Polyneices committed treason against Thebes he would not be granted a burial, thus foregoing the Unwritten Law protecting the rights of the dead (Sophocles 9). It was this decree that provoked Antigone to opposed Creon as she decides to bury Polyneices herself and she attempts to recruit Ismene to help her with this action, however, Ismene tried to persuade Antigone not to go through with the burial. As the play progresses it comes to Creon s attention by one of the guards that Polynieces body has been buried and eventually the guard determined it was Antigone and brings her in front of Creon. • 7. Our Time Is Now Analysis Colton Dixon is perhaps best known as the Mohawk styled Tennessee local who appeared on American Idol Season 11. His first album A Messenger was the No. 1 selling album by a new Christian Artist in 2013, and his distinct tones and look have marked him as one of the best up and coming Christian artists in the genre. Opening with the sounds of an S.O.S. call, Dixon ushers in an intensity that thrusts the album into a rock infused tale about the purpose of life. Synth, electro and voice over push for a crossover into Our Time Is Now, and the fast pace of a rock tune rich in electric guitar and a booming drum will get your heart racing. Pop infused with Dixon s trademark intensity, I admire the delivery of this song because it goes beyond what is expected. As a CCM release it ticks all the boxes: the lyrics are truthful, the melody is catchy, and Christians flock to it. But beyond this, it is a powerful song that escalates to an anthem that prompts people to step into a moment of worship and true surrender. With a melody that will stick in your head and innately make you feel good for singing along, this was an obvious choice for a single. Stepping into Loud And Clear, sharp rock tones are delivered through the electric guitar, and an authoritative voice similar in style to Evermore s Truth of the World, clears the space for Dixon to command a compelling song. There is a purity and strength to Colton s voice, which enables him to deliver this song with authority and conviction. Less capable singers would quickly become lost in the intensity of the instrumental, but we find Dixon coexists with this neatly and drives home the message of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Yeats Use of Symbolism in Leda and the Swan and the... W. B. Yeats, a somewhat eclectic poet, explores, throughout his work, a wide range of themes and ideas. He reflects on his nation s politics, Irish mysticism, the afterlife, love, and his own past. While each set of his poems share many recurring images, however, it is Yeats examination and opinions of the gyres of time and history that crop up in all forms of his poetry. While references to this great spiraling metaphor for the fabric of the universe can be found in some of Yeats most famous works, such as Sailing to Byzantium , Long legged Fly and Easter 1916 , to name just a few, it is an aspect of his poetry which is relevant to almost all of his writing. This metaphor is far stronger than the one of the falcon, as the great beast begins moving it s slow thighs . The creature represents an antichrist, a further image of this destruction of man. The blank and pitiless gaze it gives emphasizes its lack of human emotion, and the brutal nature of its task. The, all of a sudden, darkness drops , and the vision is over. Reflecting on what he saw, Yeats talks of the nightmare to come, and that for the rough beast, its hour come round at last . Overall, the poem sets out clearly what Yeats truly believes as the future for mankind. The structure is also worthy of note. Usually, Yeats stuck strongly to established rhyme schemes and stanza structures, however, in this poem he choses not to. While stanza one 8 lines, the second is 14, and this emphasizes to some extent the lack of clarity in Yeats vision, as his description what he saw flows out of him almost uncontrollably. Also, the lack of rhyme scheme indicates once more the havoc and ruggedness of events to come, although word repetition does connote a feeling of the slowly turning gyre, turning round and round endlessly. The second of the two poems, Leda and the Swan , takes us back to the first era of destruction, cruelty and war, before the epoch of Christianity. It tells the mythical tale of Leda being ... • 10. Division Of Labor In Emile Durkheim, Adam Smith And Karl Marx The division of labor is the process through which community members perform specialized types of work with a common objective. This has received significant theoretical discussions based on social thoughts from the theories of Emile Durkheim, Adam Smith and Karl Marx. Throughout human history, the division of labor has been present from the cultural perspective in its most essential form. Division of labor was mainly based on gender such as the case of hunter gather societies. In this case, while women gathered food and took care of their children, men hunted for game meat. This paper will discuss several theorists developed to define the concept of division of labor. According to Muldoon (2013), increasing levels of specialization also lead to lack of enthusiasm among workers in addition to reduced overall skills in their work. This perspective was refined and extended by Karl Marx who was a popular economic theorist. However, Karl Marx labeled this process as alienation, where workers were turned to be more specific individuals coupled with work repetitious eventually becoming completely alienated (Calhoun 2012). In fact, Marx indicated that such division of labor among workers was physically and emotionally depressing and compared it to a machine s condition. In this regard, he was guided by the firm belief that the fullness of production was a prerequisite to the process of attaining liberation in human beings and accepted the notion of a strict division of labor as a necessary evil that was only temporary. However, the most important theoretical contribution that Marx made towards the concept of an economy, was his sharp distinction between the economic or technical division and social division of labor (Muldoon 2013). That indicated that some form of co operation in employment was as a result of technical necessities. However, some evidence suggested that others resulted due to the functions of social control that is related to the concepts of status and class hierarchy (Calhoun 2012). If individuals conflated these two roles, it often appears as though the existing labor division is technically immutable and inevitable as opposed to the notion of an influenced or constructed by power relationships. ... A Study By Brigham And Women s Hospital A 2010 study by Brigham and Women s Hospital in Boston found that one in five teens suffer from a hearing impairment, which is an increase of 33% from 1994 (Dignan). Earbuds and headphones have contributed to these numbers since using these at loud volumes can damage ears over time. Earbuds and headphones have caused loss of hearing, as a result, there should be a restriction on the highest volume they can go. To put this into perspective, hearing is an important function of the body, taking many components to transfer the sound throughout the ear. There are three parts of an ear, the outer, middle, and inner ear. The sound starts in the outer ear where it is heard, then transmitted through the auditory system toward the eardrum. The ... Elisa is routinely planting her yearly sets of Chrysanthemums, which appear to be the sole receptor of her caring and gentle touch, but all the while it is evident that the chrysanthemum stems seemed too small and easy for her energy. Her hidden eagerness seems not only out of place, but out of touch with her dry and wilted surroundings, of which her husband, Henry, abruptly interrupts her steady pace. When this occurs, the reader catches a glimpse of the passion Elisa has for her hobby, which has remained buried in routine until now. She seems sad as the peddler departs whispering good bye good bye, however, she quickly regains her sense of married farm life, looking around to make sure that no one noticed this moment of impurity. Cultural Differences Between The Nisei And The Issei In 1869, the first Japanese Immigrants arrived in California in an attempt to escape the Meiji restoration, which forced them out of their houses. Many joined them in America after that, forming the first generation of Japanese Americans, the Issei. Those immigrants then formed families and gave birth to the second generation, the Nisei. However, the cultural differences between the Issei and the Nisei, who were all born in America, created an important gap between the two generations. The short story Seventeen Syllables , through the relation between Rosie, a Nisei young girl, and Tome Hayashi, her mother, is a good depiction of this issue. First of all, the lack of a common language between the Nisei and the Issei was the main problem in their relations. Most the Nisei went to American schools where they learned everything in English. The Issei, for their part, had learned Japanese as their first language. In Seventeen Syllables , Rosie only has little knowledge in Japanese. Here, the author describes a bit more her level in that language: It was about cats, and Rosie pretended to understand it thoroughly and appreciate it no end, partly because she hesitated to disillusion her mother about the quantity and quality of Japanese she had learned in all the years now that she had been going to Japanese school every Saturday (and Wednesday, too, in the summer). He is also controlled by a complex system of checks and balances, which makes sure that he (or any of the other branches, for that matter) does not become too powerful. Private associations and companies, that officially do not have any power, gain a lot of influence through the persuasion of congressmen(and women) or/and senators. One example is the National Rifle Association (NRA), which has so far succeeded in destroying any attempt to introduce gun control in America. Another one is how the powerful insurance companies helped to kill President Clinton s welfare reform a couple of years ago.
