very versatile with his music, which brought him a lot of criticism. Many people
don t understand that Tupac s views of the world were different ever since he was
young boy. This was due to the fact that his mother and father were part of the
infamous Black Panthers. His mother, Afeni Shakur, was hit with 150 charges of

This document specifically highlights how the Gold Coast City Council is tackling
the city s issue of traffic congestion by improving the existing structure of the roads
and public transport. Hopefully this will decrease the number vehicles on the road
which will reduce the amount of carbon emissions into the atmosphere (City of
Gold Coast, 2013). A Peer reviewed journal, Estimation of Carbon Footprint of
Fuel Loss Due to Idling of Vehicles at Signalised Intersection in Delhi confirmed
my concerns relating to carbon emissions whilst idling in traffic congestion by
providing the calculation of the amount of carbon emissions produced by average
car using petrol. CO2 emissions from a gallon of gasoline = 2,421 grams x 0.99 x
(44/12) = 8,788 grams = 8.8 kg/gallon = 19.4 pounds/gallon or litre equivalent CO2
emissions from a gallon of diesel = 2,778 grams x 0.99 x (44/12) = 10,084 grams =
10.1 kg/gallon = 22.2 pounds/gallon or litre equivalent (Bhandaria, Paridab, and

4. Supreme Court Advantages
Examining the View that the Supreme Court is an Effective Protector of Civil
Liberties In 1789, the founders of the Constitution set out the power of the Supreme
Court in Article III section 2, and, arguably, in the Supremacy clause in Article 6.
These clauses gave the Supreme Court the power to protect the Constitution, and by
doing so, the power to protect civil liberties. The strength of the Supreme Court is
essential in protecting civil liberties that are protected by the Constitution. The
Supreme Court has also increased its power through court cases and through judicial
revolutions. One case that has significantly altered the power that the Supreme Court
is able to exert was Marbury v... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although he was a conservative judge, he was reluctant to relinquish power to
Congress and therefore it is a good example of a conservative judge seeking to
maintain the balance of power between the three branches of government that was
established in the 60s and 70s. In the Constitution, civil liberties are protected under
the Bill of Rights set out in the first ten amendments. The Constitution sets out what
the government cannot do against a citizen, for example, the right of people to
keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. The Supreme Courts ability to protect
the Constitution is also the ability to protect civil liberties. The Court can hear
cases where public, civil or criminal law has been breached. The ability to hear
cases on Constitutional law came as a result of the Marbury v Madison case in
which judicial review was established. The Supreme Court has the power to protect
civil liberties directly in a ruling, e.g. the case of Miranda v Arizona 1966. Ernesto
Miranda had confessed to kidnapping and raping an eighteen year old woman, but he
had not been informed of his constitutional rights to remain silent and to have counsel
during police questioning. The Court therefore overturned his conviction, and thus
protected civil
5. Genetically Modified Foods Debate
Many consumers do not wish to eat food that has been dosed with pesticides
because of the possibility of health hazards. However, genetically modified foods are
quite capable of helping eliminating the utilization of harmful chemical pesticides.
Due to this, many farmers choose and prefer to plant biotech produce because of this
benefit. In recent news, Sudan decided to take part in planting a type of these crops,
Bt cotton. The production of Bt cotton has led to a decrease in the amount of
insecticides used by 50%, reducing the risk of exposure to these chemicals. In China,
the use of Bt cotton has led to a reduction of 78,000 tons of pesticide which covers
about a quarter of what China has sprayed. (ISAAA, http://www.isaaa.org/resources
/publications/briefs/44/executivesummary/default.asp) Furthermore, the uses of these
types of biotech crops allow a reduction of risks associated with agricultural waste run
offs. GMOs in these countries show how they are beneficial especially for preventing
environmental and human contact damage.
As the population on the world continues to increase rapidly, soon farmers will need
to find a way to grow crops in unsuited areas. This is where GMOs come in. A
company, Dupont Pioneer, released eight versions of its customarily bred Aquamax
corn and found that it boosts yields up by 7% in drought conditions compared to
regular grown corn. Additionally, interbreeding the genetically modified foodsuch as
the Aquamax corn with ordinary corn can

Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about what caffeine is, the effects of it, and
the withdrawal symptoms.
Central Idea: Caffeine can be found in many places and comes in many forms. It can
major effects on our body and we can experience major withdrawal symptoms.
Introduction
I. What does coffee, tea, soft drinks, chocolate, and a bottle of medications have in
common? II. They all contain caffeine, and that s what I m going to be talking about
today. III. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Medical
Association (AMA) have estimated that the average daily caffeine ... Show more

Caffeine can affect our bodies and even our sleep. A. Once caffeine is consumed,
your body can completely absorb it within 30 to 45 minutes. Its effects will fade
away within 3 to 6 to even 8 hours ( Caffeine ). 1. Within this time period, these are
some short term effects one may experience: a. Like rapid or irregular heartbeat,
increased blood pressure, high blood sugar levels, and /or tremors (Connolly). 2.
Here are some long term effects: b. Like sleep disorders, this means it could affect
the length and quality of sleep, possible cancer causing effects, and heart and
breathing problems due to overdose (Connolly). B. Caffeine affects each and every
one of us differently. What could happen to one of us may not happen to anyone else.
3. It depends on each person s individual circumstances such as weight and body type
(Connolly).
(Transition: Now let s discuss some withdrawal symptoms.)
III. When you don t consume caffeine as you usually do, you can have withdrawal
symptoms. C. These symptoms can be headaches, sleepiness, irritability, lethargy,
constipation, depression, muscle pain or stiffness, lack of concentration, Flu like
symptoms, and insomnia ( Caffeine Withdrawal Symptoms: Top Ten ). 4. They can

8. Environmental and Genetic Factors that Causes Celiac
Disease
Celiac Disease (CD) is a digestive disease triggered and continued by the ingestion of
gluten in the diet. Individuals with celiac disease have an irreversible intolerance to
gluten. Celiac disease is also known as celiac sprue, nontropical sprue, and gluten
sensitive enteropathy. CD is considered an autoimmune disease. It is activated by
eating glutencontaining foods. People who are genetically susceptible can experience
varying degrees of lesions in the small bowel mucosa. The lesions can range from
mild intraepithelial lymphocytosis to severe mononuclear infiltration which can
result in total villous atrophy . (GarcГa Manzanares,).
People at high risk for developing CD have the human leukocyte antigens (HLA)
HLA DQ2 or HLA DQ8 ( Pietzak). That genetic background combined with exposure
to a group of proteins called prolamins can activate CD. The prolamins are gliadin in
wheat, secalins in rye, and hordeins in barley. Gluten in wheat is broken down to the
peptide gliadin which causes the reaction. These dietary gliadins trigger the immune
system which causes the typical CD response. (Harris)
Celiac disease is one of the most common genetic diseases and it results from both
environmental and genetic factors. CD effects approximately 0.5% 1% of the
population in different parts of the world. People with diabetes, Down syndrome,
Williams syndrome, Turner syndrome, cystic fibrosis and autoimmune disorders have
a higher risk for development of CD. Individuals related to

American dream is the way he moved people, like on one can, which he wanted. He

11. The Evangelist Movement Analysis
In the video first image of the evangelist holding the sign which said we re right
struck a chord with me. I remember being in downtown Chicago and hearing and
seeing people preaching on the street corners. Jesus is coming back! Get right!
Sometimes speaking through megaphones. Most people including myself walked by
them, ignored them only hearing only a few words of what was being said. I felt like
I was being shouted at. I also like the video described a variety of evangelists from
Baker to Dollar. They were are good examples of why some people might view
evangelist in a dim light.
I had never thought about evangelism viewing someone as a target . However, when
I think back to the Baptist church I recall mother s of way ward children or wives
who had unsaved husband asking the church to target their loved one in prayer. They
wanted their loved one to accept Christ and become a member of the church.
Regarding the readings the one regarding grace resonated with me much more than
the pluralism point of view. I like grace in it s most simplest form. Growing up

I would like to think none, but preachers and theologians compare and contrast.
Just like early Christians had a difficult time converting others to their view so did
Wesley. In the article page 85, they preached grace apart from law, justification
without sanctification . Some people do not want to hear about commands. This is
one of the issues with Wesley s grace. The Wesley/Methodist approach to grace
means you are not going to stay how you are. You are expected to grow in the
things of God. The church might meet you right where you are, but you are expected
to take next steps. Some Christians are not happy with change or growth. Some see it
as too much work, especially with everything else they have in their life, work, kids,
husband
12. Manifest Destiny Research Paper
Manifest Destiny is the idea that God intended the United States to expand from
sea to sea. This means to expand and settle all land from the Atlantic Ocean to the
Pacific Ocean. The idea really came into light in the 1830 s and 40 s, but really you
could see the American s desire to continuously expand all the way back to the 17th
and 18th centuries (A Patriot s History of the United States). However, the term itself
came from an 1840s Democratic newspaper supporting the Mexican American War.
Thomas Jefferson was the first president to have a huge impact on western expansion
with the Louisiana Purchase that greatly increased the size of the United States (The
Monroe Doctrine and American Expansion). By the 1830 s, however, Americans
were looking to expand western again. Simultaneously, Texans were looking for
independence from Mexico.
The Texas Mexico relationship dated back to when Mexico won their
independence. Mexico was trying to entice new settlers to settle the area, and they
originally looked to America to cover the vast area. However, this policy ended up
being too successful and eventually Mexico became wary of American influence on
their land (A Patriot s History of the United States). This resulted in ... Show more

Polk was able to squeak out a victory in the election of 1844. President Polk had four
main goals in his presidency, three of which dealt with Manifest Destiny. The first
was to expand to Texas. The second gain complete control of the Oregon Territory.
And third to also gain control of the California Territory which at the time of his
election Mexico had control over. President Polk turned out to be one of the most
accomplished presidents, especially one term presidents, accomplishing all four of
his main goals, two of which came directly from victory in the Mexican American

13. Nonpossessive Warmth Research Paper
is a very important aspect in counseling, especially when dealing with adolescents.
The key to nonpossessive warmth is acceptance. It is an attitude that does not
evaluate or require change; it simply accepts the thoughts, feelings and actions of
the client (Clinton Ohlschlager, 2003). Adolescents want to be heard and to feel as
if the people around them care and accept them for who they are. It is very important
for counselors to make each client feel important and make sure they know that they
matter. When adolescents feel as if they matter and that they are important, they will
open up to the counselor making it easier to work through problems and the search
of who they are. Adolescents are always searching for who they

In 1975, Amancio Ortega opened the first Zara store in Spain s remote northwest
town of La Coruna, home to Zara s headquarters. Having already worked in the
textile industry for two decades, his experience led him to design a system in which
he could control every aspect of the supply chain, from design and production to
distribution and retailing. He knew, for example, that in the textile business, the
biggest mark ups were made by wholesalers and retailers. He was determined to
maintain control over these activities.
Ortega s original philosophy forms the heart of Zara s unique, rapid fire supply chain
today. But it s Zara s high tech information system that has taken vertical integration
in the company to an unprecedented level. According to CEO Pablo Isla, Our
information system is absolutely avant guard. It s what links the shop to our

Zara s vertically integrated system makes the starting point of a product concept
hard to nail down. At Zara s headquarters, creative teams of more than 300
professionals carry out the design process. But they act on information fed to them
from the stores. This goes far beyond typical point of sales data. Store managers act

Air pollution levels have a large existence in big cities in Indonesia like Jakarta,
Bandung, and so on. This problem happens because the number of motor vehicle use
that is not limited [1]. Exhaust smog are the cause of air pollution which has the
dangerous effects for people s health. Exhaust smog is a result of burning fuel oil
every motor vehicle. There are two types of burning fuel oil: the first is complete
burning [2] and incomplete burning [3]. These types of burning have the
differentiation in producing the remainder. Complete burning produces carbon
dioxide as a result of remaining while incomplete burning produces carbon monoxide
as a result of the rest. Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide are gases that are
harmful to people s health and could decrease ozone layer [4] [5]. Exhaust smog is
hazardous to people s health. Exhaust smog is a result of burning fuel oil [6].
Consequently, exhaust smog has possibility to contain carbon dioxide and carbon

the process of hemoglobin in breathing [7]. As a result, people will not only feel lack
of oxygen but also often feel dizzy and weak. In the other hand, carbon dioxide
causes dizziness and fatigue to the sufferer [8]. In the prevention and reduction of the

18. The Contamination Of Food Products
This agricultural study will examine the problem of the contamination of food
products through pesticide usage in the United States. The United States is s global
leader in the use of pesticides for large scale industrial production of food products,
which define the threat to the environment and the health of human beings. The
necessity of producing more foodfor increasing human populations poses a threat in
the use of pesticides to increase crop yields. However, pesticides cause inadvertent
effects on human health through the toxicity of these chemicals in food products.
This effect is counterintuitive to the well being and nutritional standards of a health
growing population in this type of industrial food production. In essence, an analysis
of the contamination of industrial food products will be defined through pesticide
usage in the United States. In a global context, the United States is the leader in the
use of pesticides, which contribute to health problems due to contaminated food
products being made with these chemical agents. Globally, the U.S. has been a global
food producer, which has relied on pesticides to expand crop yields. In many cases,
high levels of industrial farming production inadvertently contaminate the food
through the use of pesticides. These aspects of industrial farming threaten the health
and well being of the American population:
Inappropriate agricultural intensification and excessive inputs of nutrients and
chemical pesticides are

The purpose of this lab is to gain a greater understanding of the reactions between
aldehydes and amines and of their usefulness in synthesis and biology. The lab is
divided into 3 steps, the first step is imine formation, second step is reduction of
the imine, and the last step is acylation of the imine. The imine formed is a primary
imine, the first two steps of the lab make up reductive amination1. The formation
of the imine is carried out by adding 0.213 grams of ortho vallin, the aldehyde, and
.150 grams of para toluidine. The solids were grinded until homogenous, one layer
is formed. The crystals went from brown to orange liquid layer. The bi product of
imine formation is water, and OH gets protonated and come off during the reaction.

Sodium borohydride is a reducing agent that reduces double bonds. The solution
went from orange then to a cloudy white precipitate. The bright orange in the first
step is because of imine formation. Lack of colour, after the addition of NaBH4,
shows imine is no longer there it has been reduced. That amine is now formed
evident by the white precipitate. Sodium Borohydride is highly reactive, so it needs a

20. My Metaacognition Is The Weakest Mode Of Metacognition
Metacognition is a deeper level of thinking that includes your ability to think about
your thinking; how you understand, adapt, change, control, and use your thought
processes (Linde). This cognitive function has shaped the way I learned and
allowed me to evaluate the best ways to learn. My comprehension and
memorization skills are my most relevant modes of metacognition. These skills
have always led me to a successful outcome. When I listen to lectures, I am not
only able to remember what was discussed but comprehend the concepts behind
them. My weakest mode of metacognition is my ability to follow through with
planning. I have a part time job and I have to plan around it so I can get my work
done. I often disregard my weekly outline and I m
21. The Dead And J. Alfred Prufrock Analysis
Many people don t usually put the words love and dead in the same sentence,
because they believe the two are as different as night and day. These same people
would find it hard to believe that the similarity between Gabriel Conroy from The
Dead and J. Alfred Prufrock from the The Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock would be
so uncanny. Gabriel and J. Alfred Prufrock are both very insecure, uncomfortable
around women, and also pathetic.
In today s society many have insecurities including, and not limited to, the way they
look and the way their actions will be viewed by others. Gabriel Conroy from The
Dead is insecure in more ways than one. In The Dead Gabriel s insecurity about
whether or not he should include a quotation from Browning can be found when
he thinks He would only make himself ridiculous (p.g.10 ) showing he is very
insecure about what his peers will think of him for including the quotation. Gabriel
can be shown to also have insecurities about his feelings No, it was not the moment
yet. (pg. 65), showing him in the light of not being able to show or tell his feelings
toward Gretta. Insecurity not only knocked on Gabriel s door, but it also has
knocked on the door of J. Alfred Prufrock. In The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
Prufrock is being insecure about the way he looks. This can be seen when it says
How his hair is growing thin! (line 41), and But how his arms and legs are thin!
(line 44), showing Prufrock s worry of what the women in the room will think and
say about him. Both Gabriel and Prufrock are similar in that they are very insecure.
Gabriel from the dead finds himself in uncomfortable situations, most of them
being when he is around women. In The Dead Gabriel finds himself in an
uncomfortable situation with Lucy when he says, I suppose we ll be going to your
wedding one of these fine days... (p.g. 8), which Lucy replies, The men that is now
is only all palaver and what they can get out of you. (p.g. 8), at this reply Gabriel
starts to feel uncomfortable. He tries to fix the situation by giving Lucy money, ..it s
Christmas time isn t it? Just here s a little (p.g. 9) this doesn t end up making the
situation better, but instead he makes it even more
22. The Enron Dilemma And Catholic Social Teaching
The Enron Dilemma and Catholic Social Teaching
The business world is an interesting environment that is often described as heartless
and cutthroat. However, while it is described that way, ethics do still apply to the
business world. Companies and corporations are expected to adhere to the ethical
code that has become engrained in business world. Unfortunately, however, despite
the existence of that expectation, some companies and corporations do not always act
in an ethical manner. Enron is an example of one of those ethically challenged
corporations. In this paper, a brief summary of the Enron scandal will be provided and
an analysis utilizing the principles of Catholic Social Teaching(CST) will be
conducted. Through the analysis, it will become apparent that Enron s actions
definitely conflicted with several CST principles.
Jumping right into the summary then. Enron was one of the most successful
corporations in America during its prime. Marketing electricity and other
commodities, as well as, providing financial and risk management services to other
companies were the main types of business that Enron conducted. However, Enron s
successful appearance was found out to be a façade, when it came out that the
corporation was making a plethora of unethical business moves. Once the corporation
s actions became public, Enron s fall from grace quickly followed. (Johnson, 2003)
The year 2001 is really the year that Enron s rapid stumble from the top occurred. It

The use of guns in Romeo and Juliet is essential and is possibly the most important
prop used in the film. The guns replace swords, illustrating the violence between the
Montague and Capulet feud. Similarly, the importance of props to convey and
highlight an important idea from the original text is also evident in The Great Gatsby.
Jay Gatsby s signet ring and cane are frequently displayed: indicative of Jay s
stature. Luhrmanns use of cars and the obvious colour similarities in both movies is
evident. In Romeo and Juliet cars are another tool used to demonstrate the
Montague and Capulet feud, the cars are opposite colours: blue for Montague and
yellow for Capulet. The use of opposing hotel buildings with the words Montague
and Capulet further reinforce the importance of the feud from the original text in the
film. In The Great Gatsby the use of yellow and blue coloured cars is similar to that
of Romeo and Juliet displaying the opposing parties, Jay Gatsby (yellow) and Tom

24. Compare and Contrast Essay Good Boss Bad Boss
The difference between a good boss and a bad boss is perceived by the employee
under supervision. The most important difference between the two types of bosses
is whether you can be trusted to do your job and do it the correct way. The
employees feelings towards their boss often show up in the work that her or she does
and the way that the work is done.
A good boss generally leaves the employees to do his or her work, but is available
to help the employee if needed. As a result, employees tend to be happier, more at
ease, and more likely to be more productive in his or her work environment. There
are many qualities that make up a good boss. A good boss cares about their job as

Typically a bad boss does not go above and beyond to better their company.
A company can t succeed without the people who get up and go to work every day
and do their best to make that company a successful one. It takes more than one
person to make a company succeed and that is why not only bosses but employees
play a big role in maintaining a company. The way employees are treated is what
keeps them enjoying their job, coming to work every day, putting their effort into
their job, and providing good customer service. It is important to not only provide
excellent customer service to whose entering a company, but to the employees as
well. When customers are treated bad by those who are employed at a company
then the customer tends to avoid that company and use other resources where they
can get the help they need and are able to communicate with people who are
helpful and respectful. This goes hand and hand with the way bosses treat their
employees because like customers, employees who feel like they are being
disrespected and not getter the proper help and training, they begin to not enjoy
their job. When you do not enjoy your job and are being treated bad that shows up
in the way you do your work. Employees may get that I do not care attitude or the
bad attitudes from their bosses can rub off on the employees as well. Employees
look up to their bosses because someday that could be the employee in the higher
position.

Silence tells the story of two Portuguese Jesuit priests who travel to Japan during a
time of unrest, turmoil and persecution. Upon being captured, the priests are witness
to indescribable brutalities that test their own beliefs and principals.
God s silence is a recurring theme throughout chapters four and five and causes
Father Rodrigues a great deal of confusion, anger and frustration. His silence is first
mentioned after Kichijiro, Mokichi and Ichizo are chosen as the three hostages that
will be sent to the magistrate s office. In his letters home, Father Rodrigues is
describing the conflicting feeling and emotions that Kichijiro expressed before
leaving. Why has Our Lord imposed this torture and this persecution on poor

years before. After being unable to locate the church from his position in the boat,
Father Rodrigues asks for the guard to point out its location and is told, there is
nothing left of it (Endo, pg. 102). Following the discovery of the church s
destruction, Father Rodrigues prays to God in anger:
Why have you abandoned us so completely? Even the village was constructed for
you; and have you abandoned it to its ashes? Even when the people are cast out of
their homes have you not given them courage? Have you just remained silent like
the darkness that surrounds me? Why? At least tell me why. We are not strong like

tragedies that happen in America, such as 9/11, as a way to write books. This

Hoffman would often write during this time to make her feel better. Due to her
focusing on writing so much as an exit of treatment and sickness, Hoffman came

event that occurred. In the book, four women meet in the desperate days of the siege.

audacious bird that go against chillest land and strangest sea, with the bird that is in

associated hope with sun and happiness and created a different interpretation on hope
by using different metaphors. With use of different metaphors, hope portrayed as a
different kind of thing and this made poems interpretation diversed from each other.
Dickinson wrote Hope with using metaphorical devices in order to make a concrete

as a natural instinct that stays permanent and last eternally. We can see that in some
ways poem are alike in interpretation. Remember that in the first poem by Emily

following line which is, Countless frustrations have not cowed me, persona tried
to say that her hope won t be defeated with a simple disappointment, she would be
still vibrant about her life and her hopes that nothing can demoralize her. By The

will be happy again. Also she associated negativity and anger with saying black
cloud and happiness with sun , with using metaphors. Then she mentioned that the
black cloud (negativity and anger) will leave and she will be happy again. With
these metaphors, persona creates a different type of hope. This type of hope reveals
that no matter how bad things can get, it will end up being

This report will discuss the simple linear regression model; throughout two variables,
the predictor variable (independent) and one response variable (dependent) will be
used to explain the models. In so doing, it explains the underlying assumptions when
fitting both variables into models and statistical tools.
In addition to findings from statistical analyses, this report communicates in clear
terms the significance of data on the retention rate (%) and the graduation rate (%)

weight loss. There is evidence from individual trials about the benefits and risks of
a low carbohydrate diet verses a fat restricted diet (2).The objective of this paper is
to discover whether low carbohydrate diets have more beneficial health related
solutions verses a fat restricted diet. In one study, a traditional low fat diet was
compared to a low carbohydrate diet amongst people who have type two diabetes.
The results show that only a low carbohydrate diet provided significant
improvement of the inflammatory state and type two diabetes. In another
study,Evidence supports a low carbohydrate diet for weight loss and improvement
in traditional cardiovascular disease. The effects of a low carbohydrate diet and a

The key points of Aestheticism, discussed in detail in Oscar Wilde s fictionalized
discussion between two characters, The Decay of Lying, are the following: Art
never expresses anything but itself, all bad art comes from returning to life and
Nature and elevating them to ideals, life imitates art far more than art imitates life,
and lying is the proper aim of art. According to these key points, many great pieces
of literature would not be viewed as art due to be so closely linked to life, or to
some didactic message. Traditionally, literature was meant to teach or to leave some
lasting message behind, but according to Oscar Wilde, that is the complete opposite
of art. Jane Eyre, the famous novel by Charlotte Bronte, is not exempt when it
comes to Wilde s ideas of what defines something as art. While highly stylized with
rich language and mystical allusions and symbolism, Jane Eyre would not be
considered a work of art because of how realistic it was, and because of how critical it
was of modern society at the time. A key component of art is that,... Show more

It should be a work of the imagination and not based in anything of this world. If it
is too realistic or truthful, it cannot be considered a piece of art. Even though the
story of Jane and Rochester is a work of fiction, the setting itself is not imaginative
at all. Had the story been real, it would have taken place in Bronte s life time, and
many of the events could have been experienced by her or by those she knew. The
ancient historians gave us delightful fiction in the form of fact; the modern novelist
presents us with dull facts under the guise of fiction (2). Bronte committed a
cardinal sin in the eyes of Oscar Wilde; she created a story that, in Wilde s opinion,
lacked an imaginative edge. Even though the story was fictional, it still contained far
too many factual elements to be considered
41. Garage Door Research Paper
Do you own a home with a garage door? Are you worried about what might happen if
your garage door breaks? When your garage door stops working, it may seem like a
simple thing to repair it yourself. However, here are some reasons to consider hiring
a professional instead of attempting the repair on your own: Garage doors are heavy:
If your garage door is bent or otherwise needs to be replaced, you may think that
replacing it yourself is an option. After all, a garage door doesn t feel that heavy
when you open and close it. That lack of weight is a function of the design of your
garage door. Although a large garage door may weigh several hundred pounds,
springs or counterweights help to balance the garage door and make it seem like it
weighs less. If you are unprepared for just how heavy a garage door is when removed
from its frame, you might even accidentally trap yourself in your garage when
working on the door. Garage door spring repair is dangerous: The springs that
balance your garage door and make it easy to open and close are... Show more content

It can be hard for the average person to find the correct parts to repair their garage
door. If you ve ever tried to find bags for a discontinued vacuum cleaner or parts for
an off brand washing machine, you may run into the same issues when trying to
find garage door parts. You may think you ve ordered the correct parts, only to find
out that they are the wrong shape or size once they arrive. If you hire a
professional, you won t have to deal with any of this. If they don t already have the
part or parts in stock, they will have the knowledge to locate them more easily and
more quickly than you would be able to do so. This means more time relaxing,
instead of tearing your hair out over whether or not you ve finally located the correct
parts for your garage
42. The Olympic Olympics At The 1988 Seoul Olympics Essay
The 100m final during the 1988 Seoul Olympics, went from being called the
greatest race in history to the dirtiest race in history over a time period of 24 hours.
Ben Johnson Bronze medalist at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, Gold
Medal at the Rome World championships in 1987 and a former record holder for the
100m sprints and now a permanent dent in the history of Canadian and Olympic
history after he tested positive for the anabolic steroid Stanozol, at the 1988 Seoul
Olympic games.
The event everyone had been waiting for at the Seoul Olympics was that of the 100
meter final where spectators and fans would be able to who the fastest man alive
was. The Rivalry between Carl Lewis and Ben Johnson had been built up after
many years of close competition most notably since the 1984 Los Angeles
Olympics where Carl Lewis winning gold for America and Ben Johnson winning
bronze for Canada. When Ben Johnson won the 100 meter final at the world
championship in Rome he had beaten Carl Lewis five times before and gained a
world record. This caused him to become very popular with the media and in
Canada with people seeing him as a new hope for Canadian sports after their
embarrassment at the Montreal Olympics in 1976 with Canada being the first
country to hold the Games and not win a single gold medal. After Rome Carl and
Ben both set their sights on The Zurich track and field meet on August the 17, which
was only a month out from the Seoul Olympics. Before this meet, however,
43. Milk Fat Lab Report
What was the Effect of the Initial Temperature of Heavy Cream on the Mass of Milk
Fat Formed?
Purpose
The purpose of this lab was to determine how temperature affected the mass of milk
fat formed from heavy whipping cream, and which initial temperature formed the
milk fat with the greatest mass. Background A colloid is defined as a solution
containing particles that are sized between 1 1000 nanometers and are dispersed
throughout the entire solution, never settling to the bottom (Law, 2017). Milk is a
type of colloid called an emulsion that contains fat globules and casein proteins (one
of the main milk proteins), suspended in a watery surrounding (Law, 2017). The
water is the solution part of this colloid. It contains carbohydrates ... Show more

Design...
MARKETING WEBSITE FEEDBACK ANALYSIS
Throughout your answers, you are required to refer to feedback data on the feedback
data spreadsheet. This task is only using the feedback for the two questions that
related to the website not the expo.
You are encouraged to discuss the feedback results in your group before writing this
feedback analysis.
Things to include when answering the questions:
Purpose What was the purpose of your website and how does the website design help
meet this purpose?
Audience Referring back to your market research, who was your target market? Was
part of your target market assessing your website?
Context As the website was assessed by people at the Expo, do you think this helped
create a sense of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We know the readers felt this because of the feedback they gave after viewing the
website as well as in the grades they gave. This was mainly done through the websites
colour scheme, short paragraphs and use of images.
2.Referencing one of the websites that you assessed at the expo, through the question
Based on the website alone, how likely are you to buy this product, what was it in
that website that made you want to buy the product? Consider elements like colours,
written language techniques, graphics. How did these elements work together to sell
the product to you?
One of the websites I assessed was called clever hinge . This was a product that
means you do not lose your Tupperware container lids. The website was really
cleverly laid out, with a red colour scheme. This colour scheme really helped
persuade me into wanting to buy their product. Not only was the colour scheme
well thought out, the entire website was laid out in a way that was easy to
navigate. Due to this it was very easy to work out where the information on their
product was stored. This information in itself consisted of a few very well done
images of their design as well as providing basic information on the product. It was
for this reason I was tempted to buy the product.
3.For your website, is there a correlation between the feedback for questions How
informative, visually appealing, and user friendly is the website? and
45. Newsbreaks About Truck Drivers
One of the newsbreaks that I was particularly interested is the one in Schultz
Schultz (2016), textbook Don t Look The Driver Behind You May Be Sleep
(P.266). This newsbreak is about Truck Drivers; that according to Schultz Schultz
(2016) 78% of them having a sleep disorder called obstructive sleep apnea. (P.266)
The reason why I am interested in this newsbreak is because it effects all of us, we
all drive on the road, and having someone next to you on the road being sleep
deprived is scary thought. The truck driver could lose control of the vehicle and
create a major accident where multiple lives could be lost. Another newsbreak is the
Engineering Psychology is a Hot Career Choice Seriously (P.312). This newsbreak is

46. Examples Of A Hero In Graceanne
Graceanne just barely stopped the bus from crashing. The lives of many young
children were on the line, and only one person was brave enough to jump to the
rescue. The only thing this young teen was thinking of was making sure these kids
got home safely. What makes up a hero, and why are they so influential? Graceanne
is an example of a hero: someone who is selfless, undaunted, and dedicated. A
selfless person is one who puts others before himself, more involved in the concerns
of others. A hero is not selfish, but instead cares more about the needs of the people
who cannot save themselves. In the wise words of Mahatma Gandhi, The best way
to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others. As an example for
servicing others, in the titanic, the engineers knew the ship was going under. The
engineers decided that it was better to sacrifice the few rather than the many. They
kept the ship working/afloat for as long as possible, to ensure the survival of the
majority of passengers. None of the engineers made it off that boat alive. What
they did will be remembered for decades, they were born ordinary and died a hero.
Anyone can be a hero, as Bob Riley says, Hard times don t create heroes. It s during
the hard times when the hero within us is revealed. To elaborate, everyone can be a
hero, whereas so few people actually figure out and embrace the hero inside. Heroes
are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary (Gerard Way). An undaunted
person is
