2. Introduction
• Exam week can be difficult, stressful & even
overwhelming.
• You may feel helpless and hopeless, as though
there is nothing you can do.
• After a semester of too many classes and too
much work, you think you'll have to stay up all
night studying to pass your final exams.

Sr No Activity Hours/ Week Total hrs/wk
1 No. of hours of sleep each night 8 X 7 56
2 No. of grooming hours per day 2 X 7 14
3 No. of hours of meal/snack per day 3 X 7 21
4 Total travel time per day 0.5 X 7 3.5
5 No. of hours for T.V/playing per day 2 X 7 14
6 No. of hours per week for functions 3 3
7 No. of hours per week for shopping 2 2
8 No. of hours per day for tuition 1 X 7 7
9 No. of hours per week for school 6 X 6 36
Total 156.5
Subtract Total from 168 168 - 156.5 11.5
Total Hours for self study 11.5

7. How to use Study Hour Formula?
• Step 1: Write down all your subjects on a piece of paper
• Step 2: Then write easy/ medium or difficult to study in front of each subject on
the basis of how you find these subjects to study
• Step 3: Count the no. of easy subjects, no. of medium subjects and no. of difficult
subjects
• Step 4: Now use the previous formula. Eg: say you have 2 subjects that you find
easy then write 2 in front of easy in (A) column
• Step 5: Now allot time i.e. no. of hours to study these subjects. For eg: you may
require less time to study easy subjects and more hours to study difficult
subjects.
• Step 6: Fill out Column (A) and (B)
• Step 7: Multiply (A) * (B)
• Step 8: Add the Total column and write the answer in the red box
• Step 9: This red box is THE TOTAL NO. OF HOURS YOU NEED TO STUDY ALL THE
SUBJECTS before your exam.

9. Two Weeks Before the Exam
• Step 1: Make up a set of study sheets for each class.
• Step 2: Each set of study sheets should summarize the
reading, your class notes, and any handouts.
• Step 3: For the next two weeks, read through your study
sheets three times each day.
• Step 4: Understand the concept & try to memorize the
information.

10. The Night Before the Exam
• Read your study sheets as usual.
• Go to bed early and get a good night's sleep.

11. The Day of the Exam
• Set your alarm and get up early.
• Eat a good breakfast, including simple sugars (fruit juice), complex
carbohydrates (cereal or toast), and protein (milk, eggs, cheese).
This will help your blood sugar stay at a stable level, and since your
brain runs on sugar, you don't want to have an empty tank.
• Caffeine has been shown to increase alertness and performance.
• Allow plenty of time to reach your school for the exam.
• Carry a bottle of water so you don't get dehydrated during the
exam period.

12. Last 10 minutes of the exam
• Check if you have attempted all or the required
number of questions
• Check your answersheet & correct
spelling/grammatical errors if any
• If you still have some time left then draw a line
between two answers to separate them which
further makes your answersheet
