Cancer is abnormal cell growth that can spread and lead to death if not treated. It is difficult to pinpoint exact causes, but substances like tobacco, pollution, viruses, asbestos, and UV rays can increase cancer risk. The early signs of cancer include changes in bowel or bladder habits, sores that don't heal, unusual bleeding or discharge, lumps in breasts or other areas, difficulty swallowing, coughing or hoarseness. Cancer treatment focuses on surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or combinations to remove or destroy cancer at the earliest possible stage for the highest chance of cure. Most cancers are potentially curable if caught early through treatment.

Democracy is a legendary system of government in which every countries of the world, today it is desires to have democracy or claims to be one. Today if truly democracy and human rights are incompatible in certain situation, it means freedom and justice and equality for all branch of people are guaranteed. Democracy ensure human rights to be primarily virtuous, balance and adequate of moderation, furthermore , democracy ensure human right broadly, human right include: right to life, liberty, right of property , freedom of speech ,and security of individual, which have been definite in the constitution. But, in Nigerian torture has been considerable through human rights mismanagement. The government agencies, such as military and police brutalize the people by torturing them. However, torture and inhuman acts are commonly carried out by government agencies such as police and soldiers. During the military regime in Nigeria, time torture and inhuman acts gained more power for the misdeed of the citizens in Nigeria. Such conditions; torture thoroughly undermined due process and the rule of law, and other inhuman acts were a confirmed routine. Meanwhile inhuman act and torture were implemented by government agencies, such as soldiers; army forces and polices; they thought that torture and abuse of human rights were the best tools to get equitable and eloquent information from suspects. This book concerns with torture and inhuman acts in Nigeria; what is the Nigerian government response to human rights violation; also it would talks about Nigeria economics, poverty and corruption in Nigeria.
The Main Responsibility for Torture and Cruel Act in Nigeria.
The main groups responsible for torture and inhuman acts in Nigeria were the police’s and soldiers mostly using inhuman acts and torture as a way of disarranging suspects of crimes. Torture and inhuman acts were rampant within the soldier’s barracker and polices custody. The military and police were said to carry out inhuman and torture as the best way for investigated any crimes or as a way of beating in order to getting eloquent information. However, inhuman acts and torture had become such a fundamental guarding and scouting in the country which many polices headquarters in Nigeria use formal torture.

The psychological impact of living with and beyond cancer - reportAlex King
Earlier diagnosis and advances in treatment mean that more people are living with and beyond cancer,1 with approximately half of those diagnosed today living for ten years or more.2 Alongside positive clinical outcomes is the need to identify the key psychological challenges faced by individuals experiencing longterm cancer survival, and whether current provision of psychological support and services meet the needs of this relatively new group of patients. It is important to note that the psychological challenges faced during long-term survivorship are often not independent of those experienced at other points in a patient’s journey, including diagnosis, during or at completion of treatment, remission or at no evidence of disease (NED). As such, a broader view is necessary to ensure that psychological challenges faced in long-term survivorship are not addressed in isolation and individual impact is acknowledged.
Many European countries include referral pathways to psychological support in cancer care guidelines however, this is not always the case in the UK. For example, lung cancer guidelines do not include psychological assessment, referral pathways to psychological support or mention psychological burden.3 Existing guidance relating to the supportive and palliative care for adults with cancer was published by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in 2004.4 Since then, the cancer treatment landscape has seen significant advances with earlier diagnosis and improved survival rates alongside changes within the wider environment including the advent of social media and other digital resources.
The ‘Psychological Support for Patients Living with Cancer - Patient Workshop’ aimed to identify the uniting, unmet psychological needs of people living with and beyond cancer. The workshop found the following key themes: • Prioritising quality of life (QoL) • Challenge of re-introduction to the community following treatment • The impact of cancer on families and carers
When addressing the provision of psychological support and ways in which current services could be improved, the following areas were discussed: • Integrating psychological support into the treatment pathway • Improving timing and communication • Securing timely support • Acknowledging differences • Getting support for families and carers
The wider environment, existing initiatives and the resulting workshop learnings will help inform MSD’s wider understanding of this topic and help to shape future planning regarding MSD’s contribution to support the psychological well-being of patients living with and beyond cancer.

What is cancer?
Cancer is an abnormal growth of a body cell or a group of cells. If it isn't destroyed or
removed, cancer can spread rapidly, and lead to death. There are billions of cells in the
body which grow in a wellregulated pattern. When cancer sets in, the cells suddenly start
multiplying haphazardly and form a lump or `tumour'.
What causes cancer?
Though it is difficult to pinpoint the cause, substances known as carcinogens, can increase
your chances of getting cancer. For instance, people who smoke or chew tobacco are more
prone to mouth, throat and lung cancer. Contrary to popular opinion, smoking beedi is
twice as dangerous as smoking cigarettes. Pollution and consumption of preserved,
smoked and junk food are also contributors to cancer. Even certain viruses can cause
cancer (EBV , Hepatitis B, HPV). Some of the other causes of cancer are: exposure to
asbestos, arsenic, pitch, tar and ultra-violet rays.

What are the early signs of cancer?
There are seven common signs of cancer, called the `seven danger
signals of cancer': 1. Change in bowel or bladder habits 2. A sore that
doesn't heal 3. Unusual bleeding or discharge 4. Thickening or lump in
breast or elsewhere 5. Indigestion or difficulty in swallowing 6. Obvious
change in wart or mole 7. Nagging cough or hoarseness.
How should cancer be treated?
The emphasis of cancer treatment should be on multimodal
management be it surgery , chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a
combination of all three, at the earliest stage of the disease.

How effective is surgery as a cure?
Surgery is most effective in the early stages when the cancer has not yet
spread. Major advances in plastic, reconstructive surgery and
anaesthesiology have ensured a high degree of success. More than 80% of
cancers are completely curable if treated early . But it can even be cured
later depending on the type of cancer and stage of cancer.
Can you lead a normal life after cancer?
The sooner you opt for treatment, the better the quality of life post cancer.
Most cancer patients can return to their normal lives even while undergoing
treatment.
